Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 not sending sequence to encoder

I've been using Adobe Premiere CC and the CC encoder, but today all of a sudden it will no longer send sequences out of the export settings window of Premiere and into Encoder.
any ideas?

Have you tried restarting you computer?

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 and Media Encoder CC 2014 not completing encode.

This is a project that I have been successfully encoding in short segments until now.  Now when encoding, session runs about 10-15 minutes and then ends without error messages.
Removing effects and changing to Mercury PB Engine SW did not help.
Also tried disabling metadata as suggested in another forum.
When CUDA used, logged as "Encoding failed."  When Mercury SW used, logged as "File Successfully Encoded" even though video file is only 6 KB with no content.

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 (9.18.13.3788)

I am having a similar problem.
Premiere Pro CC 2014 suddenly decided to crash every time I export to either Adobe Media Encoder or within Premiere itself.
The encode will usually go for 5-10 minutes before the programs either spits out a "serious error has occurred" window, or it just sits there frozen until I force quit.
I did find a work-around for the moment. If I open AME and FILE > OPEN, select my project and then the sequence I want, AND put it in Software render mode, it will work.
My timeline is 2K, 58 minutes in 23.976
Only effects applied are Lumetri LUTs - no third party.
I've exported as recently as a week ago without issue.

Because I can get my renders out, I am not too concerned. Either there is something wonky with my timeline that screws with any graphics enabled rendering, or there is a bug that is have the same effect. I will try rendering on another of my edit bays that utilizes a GTX 580 that I KNOW works. The Titan is pretty new to my workflow.
Thanks Adobe, for checking this out.

  • Adobe Media Server Installer does not run

I am trying to install Adobe Media Server 5 on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit on i3 logged in as an administarive user over RDP.
The installer simply does not run - a very short hourglass then nothing.  Not logs in applicaiton, system of setup logs.
The bundled Adobe Media Gateway installer runs just fine.
Tried a machine restart, and still no go...
    Any ideas gratefully received
    Simon

ok, got it...  go properties on the file and 'unblock'
This was because I downloaded it on another machine, and then copied it over.  Windows 2008 knew it had not been made locally and silently blocked execution.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 not recognising opacity/alpha values from After Effects

Hello, I'm importing AE compositions directly into Media Encoder to output as 'Match Source - Medium Bitrate H.264' files. However Media Encoder is not recognising the opacity values of the layers in AE and the background images are coming out as opaque rather than partially transparent.
How can I resolve this? If I render the movie from AE as a .mov then use Media Encoder it works fine, but that takes a lot more time.

Can you post screenshots of your comp in After Effects and the result you are getting from AME?
One issue you may be hitting is that AME is not aware of the composition background color. This is a limitation of Dynamic Link; because a primary use case of Dynamic Link is placing an After Effects composition, such as lower-thirds titles, into a Premiere Pro sequence, Dynamic Link ignores the background color of the composition and treats any the background pixels as alpha. In AME, since there is no compositing happening, black is used to fill in the alpha area.
To work around this limitation, place a solid at the bottom of your composition layer stack that is the color of your background.

  • Export (Premiere CC 2014 & Media Encoder CC 2014) not using 100% of CPU

Hey all, had this problem for a while now, Adobe CC 2014 just doesn't want to utilise my CPU, thus taking a 3min clip to encode forever (god forbid I use any effects or a 3 minute clip encodes for over 5hours - no not a joke) it doesn't matter if I use the built in encoder in Premiere or use the Media Encoder. I've seen that many people struggle with this but no-one has supplied a solution not at least oen that I could find. Does anybody know a workaround? Just to throw in some numbers here. A same project file, with the same export settings with the same source files and on the same computer of course; 1 hour and 21min clip encodes in 2 hours and 24min (h264 2pass encode with 35mbit stream) in CS6, with CC 2014 it takes 6 hours and 49 min and that is just preposterous.
As can be seen from the screenshot Adobe CC 2014 is only using about 50% of my CPU thus encoding slower. I wonder if there is a way to tell Adobe to just use all of the resources that are given to it?

  • Media Encoder CC 2014 not encoder in parallel mode.

Media encoder cc normally render in parallel.
    Media Encoder 2014 will not.
    Why?
2014 How do I render in parallel?

That doesn't answer any of my questions.
    1. Are those custom or system presets?
        - If system presets, what are they?
        - If custom, could you specify the basic settings of that preset?
    2. Are you exporting to Dolby in any of those presets?
    3. Is "Enable Parallel Encoding" checkbox checked in preferences?
The reason I ask is because we purposely don't allow parallel encoding with some combinations of settings and obviously if you disabled parallel encoding in the prefs, it will not work.

  • PSE 9 Adobe E‑mail Service do not send to some mail adresses

    Background:
My 64 bit Win 7 home premium PC do not have any mail client and I'm using only the IE brower for mailing [my mail is hosted by one.com] . So for PE sharing (mail)  i'm using the organizer mail client Adobe E‑mail Service.  In organizers sharing preferences I'm suposed to enter my own mailadress for verification of the mailing adress for Adobe E-mail service.
    The issue:
If I enter my own private mailadress  [email protected] there is no mail send out.
My mail host provider, one.com, has verified that there is no record in their mailserver logs of any incomming mail what so ever = no mail has succesfully been send by the Adobe organizer mail client.
AND IF I use my work mail adress [email protected] in the preferences and as mail reciever every thing works fine.
I also tested having [email protected]  noted in sharing preferences, but having my priviate mailadress [email protected] only as a mail reciever. Well same negative result. There is no registred mail in the mail server logs at all coming from .[email protected] or send to [email protected]
    My questions
    1. Is there any PE logs to look at i the PC
    2. How do I make Adobe support to seriusly take on this issue. The somewhat disapointing answer the give me are like "not our fault, ask someone else. case closed"
    3. I have once, non-PE elsewhere, experienced a SW that did not recognice a '[email protected]' adress as a mailingaddress. Anyone know where to find the list over what type of mailadresses PE recognizes?

I hope you receive some replies as I have a very similiar situation. I wish I could help but obviously I cannot.
    \Good luck!

    Good Afternoon,
I recently downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud and LIghtroom.  I would like to know how to access the tree filter.  It is greyed out?

  • UIImage to Base64 Encoded String does not matched with PHP Encoded String

Hi, I have converted an image to base64 string using the following
    UIImage* pic = [UIImage imageNamed:@"closeBtn.png"];
        NSData* pictureData = UIImagePNGRepresentation(pic);
        [Base64 initialize];
        NSString * encodedString = [Base64 encode:pictureData];
The result obtained by this method and by converting the same image to base64 string in PHP or ASP is different. I am comparing the base64 string (testData) with online generated string from URL http://www.dailycoding.com/Utils/Converter/ImageToBase64.aspx
    Please help ASAP

    Keith:
I am converting the PNG Image.Actually i want to post a image to PHP server via JSON. for that i am converting the image into base64 string and then sending JSON via HTTP. but when server receives a image data , it cannot convert and save it properl (blank image with 0x0 dimensions). I have compared the Base64 String created from xCode with some online conversion tools. and results are different. I have even tried with JPG images as well.

  • HDV conversion for Premiere CC  Windows using Adobe Media Converter

We are trying to use HDV footage in Premiere CC on a Windows system. The HDV footage was given to us already been captured on a drive. It will play using different players. We need to convert it to a format that Windows Premiere CC can understand. When we go to convert the footage in Adobe Media Converter, it can not even read the footage to be able to convert it. The Export Settings/Source says "Media Pending"    What are we missing here? Thanks.

"Media Pending" means just that...be patient. When I import HDV clips into Premiere, I get that same message on screen, but at lower right of Premiere screen it will show a progress bar for "Indexing" of the MPEG video. Once that completes, then I can see the video. Give it a try in Premiere. HDV is definitely supported.
    Thanks

  • Do not send fonts to Distiller

We are using Adobe Acrobat 7.0. We are using Microsoft Dynamics GP 8.0. When attempting to print to PDF on a Windows 2003 Server used as a Terminal Server, we get the following error. We can not find where to go to find the "Do not send fonts to Distiller" option. The closest we can find is under the Adobe PDF printer properties "Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF"
We have tried the following with no success.

    2. Right-click Adobe PDF, and then click Properties.
    3. On the General tab, click Printing Preferences.
    4. Click to select the Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF" check box, and then click OK.

    6. Click to select the Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF" check box.
    7. Start Microsoft Great Plains.
    8. In Microsoft Great Plains, click Print Setup on the File menu.
    9. In the Name list, click Adobe PDF, and then click Properties.
    10. On the Adobe Default Settings tab, click to select the Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF" check box. Then, click to clear the Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF" check box.
    11. Click OK two times.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You should probably read your license agreement about the server use of AA7, normally not allowed. I am not sure how you are using it, but you may be pushing the use of your license. There is also an issue with many Acrobat versions working on Server 2003, even in stand-alone mode.
The properties of sending the fonts is on the Adobe PDF printer properties. You would right-click on the printer or simply select the properties in the print window. Then select the settings tab. The send check box should be there (Use System Fonts, not document fonts - the name for AA8, I think it was send fonts in AA7).
