Adobe Media Encoder unavailable in Photoshop CC?

Hi — when I attempt to render an animation in Photoshop CC I am finding the Adobe Media Encoder option greyed out. The only available option is to render a Photoshop Image Sequence. In CS5 I was able to use the Media Encoder to render Quicktime movies directly from Photoshop. Why would this have changed? Is this supposed to be happening? I'm on Photoshop CC 14.1.2, running on a Mac, OSX 10.9.

I believe so — I've got Quicktime 7 Pro and Quicktime 10.3.

When I go to export > render to video , the program does not let me choose any video format.
The adobe media encoder option appears grayed out.
Can anyone tell me why is this happening?

Unfortunately, it seems some of the video functions don't work on an 32 bit windows system with photoshop cc.
You have photoshop cc or photoshop cc 2014?
I know that was the case with photoshop cc, but not sure about photoshop cc 2014.

I just downloaded CC about a week ago. I'm running it on a 32 bit Windows 8 PC. I've been trying to export video but the adobe media encoder is gray and unavailable. I can't find any support on this issue. I purchased the photography plan as all I needed was Photoshop. Anyone know what to do? When I try downloading the media encoder from the adobe website, nothing happens.

Unfortunately, video features are not supported for photoshoop cc and cc 2014 on windows 32 bit operating systems.

Unfortunately, photoshop cc doesn't support video on mac os x 10.6.8 and that's why you not able to export using the Adobe Media Encoder.

Adobe Media Encoder Appcrash in MSVCR90.DLL upon exit

I didn’t see a forum for Adobe Media Encoder (hereafter referred to as AME), but since we are using AME hand-in-hand with Premiere, I thought I would post this here to see if anyone had any insight to why this is happening. Thank you in advance if you can help me figure this out; I truly appreciate any and all assistance!
I am the computer lab manager for the visual arts department at a community college. We teach video production courses in which we capture audio and video footage into Premiere CS5 and then export that footage to AME CS5. We do this on PC hardware (Dell Optiplex 755 and 780 units) running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit.
The way that I configure the master image is to install all software (the Adobe Master Collection) under the administrator account, configure settings within the programs (an example, though it is not related to this, just to give you an idea as to what I do to configure the master image – since our PCs have 2 hard drives, I launch Photoshop and change the scratch disk setting to point to the second drive) and then copy the local admin profile over to the default user profile within Windows so that all students get the same settings configured the way we want it.
Now, before I copy the profile over, I test the system thoroughly to make sure that everything is working as it should. AME functions fine prior to the profile copy. However, once I copy the profile over, and I use Sysprep for this because it is the only Microsoft supported solution for profile copying in Windows 7 that I know of, everything functions perfectly except when you go to close AME, it throws this error:

I am assuming that Sysprep resets something when it copies the profile because I can log in as the Administrator during the testing phase and this does not happen. Once I sysprep and log in as Administrator again post-sysprep, this happens not only under Administrator, but under every other account that I log in as, both local and domain, and both with admin and non-admin privileges.
I ran the Adobe Updates to no avail. No matter what, this keeps happening.
This is a minor issue as everything does work, it is just that I am getting complaints from students and instructors that this is happening. Again, thank you in advance for your help. I appreciate it wholeheartedly.

In the past (I do not know if that still applies today) there were problems with the Microsoft Visual C++ libraries that could be solved by downloading and installing the relevant DLL's from the Microsoft website. Beware, there are numerous files and you have to take care to download and install the version for your OS. Adobe tried to alleviate that problem, but may not have solved all the issues. It is worth a try.

How do I uninstall adobe media encoder cc on macbook (Mavericks)? I have installed two versions (AME AME CC and CC 2014), AME CC 2014 has unistall file, but the application AME CC has unistall file or i can not find it. The situation is similar in the application ADOBE EDGE CODE CC and ADOBE EDGE CC Reflow CC.

Because I have installed two versions, CC and CC (2014) I have a small ssd drive, I want to uninstall unnecessary applications and replace them with new ones from the 2014 edition. I have a problem with applications: Media encoder CC, EDGE CODE CC, Rreflow CC, Lightroom 5, these applications just do not have the files "uninstall". Adobe Media Encoder - .wmv export not provided?

I'm using Adobe Media Encoder CS6 on a Windows 7 machine. I need render out a Windows Media format (.wmv) but it is not found in any of the presets or from the format drop-down menu. Only F4V, FLV, H.264, H.264 (Legacy) and MP3 are available.
I can't find any information that indicates that I need to install extra codecs, but I believe this is the problem.
Or, maybe it's the version of Creative Suite that doesn't allow for certain file formats?

Adobe Media Encoder has all the codecs like QuickTime, WMV and others if you have any Video application Like, Premiere Pro, After Effects or SpeedGrade installed because these are royalty bearing codecs and can be activated if you have Video application installed and activated with the respective serial number. If you have license for Indesign, Illustrator or Photoshop you might not get these codecs. So, The video applications are provided with Master Collection suite or Production Premium suite and if you have any other suite you can only use Video Products as a trial for 30 days and get these codecs for a limited time.

Adobe Media Encoder CS4 Crashing Immediately

I am running the CS4 Production Premium suite on a Windows 7 64-bit computer with 12GB RAM. Up til last week, the whole Adobe suite had been running smoothly. (I primarily use Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Encore). However, Encore started locking up the computer any time I tried to work on authoring a Blu-ray (it locked up immediately upon opening a Blu-ray project, and only locked up on a new project when I switched from DVD to Blu-ray mode).
I assumed that some of Encore's source code had either been moved, overwritten by something else, or that there was possibly a program incompatibility with something else on my computer. So I took the step to uninstall and reinstall Encore from the install DVDs.
Upon a "successful" reinstallation, I then went into Premiere CS4 to encode a timeline to a P2 file. Premiere seemed to be doing its normal exporting process fine, but Media Encoder would crash after the red splash screen disappeared. To be more explicit, the red splash screen would disappear and be replaced by a window the normal size of the Encoder program, but nothing appeared on screen in the window other than a small white box in the upper left with the rest just being plain gray (see attached photo). At the same time this white window appeared, Win 7 popped up a box saying that Adobe Media Encoder has stopped working and that it would search for a solution to the problem, which it never could do.
I then tried deactivating the suite, uninstalling the full suite and reinstalling, updating so the patches would bring it up to date, and then tried running Adobe Media Encoder again, this time running from the Start menu rather than from Premiere. Yet, it was still the same response: the program crashes immediately.
I would appreciate any suggestions and help that people can provide.

Adobe Media Encoder CS6 completely missing from Mastercollection CS6

Problem:
I am currently missing the sidekick Adobe Media Encoder (AME), even though I succesfully can run After Effects and Premier Pro.
I cannot locate the AME app anywhere on my hard drive to launch it manually.
Steps/general information:
I initially was able to run AME, after fixing another problem with launching it by deleting the ExportQuickTimeHost.bundle / QuicktTimeHost.bundle as I have described in another post (https://forums.adobe.com/message/7221143#7221143 – #26 is my post).
Unfortunately, the presets for Quicktime (I needed prores) were missing, even after I have done a workaround, by copying prores-codecs into AME plugins, as described in this post: martin-thoburn.com » Install the Apple ProRES codec without Final Cut or ProApps
The next time launching QuickTime, I was not able to open it again.
I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated After Effects and Premier Pro three times now and took away the QuickTimeHost.bundle from AME and Premiere Pro
I also tried resetting ACL (through Utilities, when starting the MacBook with option key pressed down) as suggested by Seth Goldin in the post https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1010136
I already tried wiping down the whole Adobe Suite, using the Cloud Cleaner Tool, delete the presets in the user library and then reinstall the apps: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, After Effects and Premiere Pro. There is now only the CS6 (and not for example some CC apps) on my Computer. All apps are up to date.
I didn't install any other codecs by accident.
Since AME was again not launching (Splash screen wasn't showing me any plugins, AME could have loaded). I simply deleted AME by trashing it.
Now it's completely gone, even after reinstalling (and launching) After Effects and Premier Pro.
By trying to install AME's updates (6.0.1 and 6.0.2) I naturally get an error message, since the main app is missing.
I have battled with AME about half a year now, so things like reinstalling Lion and then Mavericks has occurred before as well.
And unfortunately, I am in the middle of a big project, which is due in a month and two days. Hope the links are not too confusing
– please look through them though, as the solutions I tried out are very clearly written in those posts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update in chronological order:
I uninstalled the Cloud, which I kept for making updates; I also uninstalled everything from Adobe (CS6 mastercollection)
I ran the Cloud cleaner tool
I reinstalled only Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premier Pro, After Effects and Acrobat. Bridge and AME were installed as sidekicks of Photoshop and AE/PP.
So this has solved problem 1 already.
On to problem 2 (update only):
updated all adobe software, incl. DynamicLinkMediaServerRetail-1.0.1-mul-AdobeUpdate
I installed Final Cut Pro 7
I (re)installed Quicktime 7.6.6*
I downloaded the Prores Presets for AME (as you suggested in post #2)
I tried opening AME – that did not work, as it hung on the ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle
Went to AME app, right clicked on app icon to get "Show package content">Contents>Plug-Ins>Common and deleted ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle and ImporterQuickTimeHost.bundle
repeated last step with Premiere Pro and AE
I opened AE
I tried importing the presets through AME>import>presets... That did not work. I get this pop-up message:
restarted my computer
tried again to import AME without luck
tried the solution of this discussion Re: Quicktime Export options are missing (only in AME) (post #8)
since I noticed that mine was changed back after the reinstallation. No luck.
restarted the computer again. No luck.
Put back only the ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle into AME's package content
tried to open AME without luck
removed the Quicktimebundle once more to open AME (worked)
opened PP to check if I could export in queue: AME does not open by itself, still.
I tried opening a prores file (end as .mov) that I encoded at university (not on my provate computer) – did not worl
I checked if I could open a mov-file which was not encoded to prores: that worked.
I looked into Martin Thoburn's method again to try one more time in AME to find the settings "Quicktime". No luck.

But now that I absolutely made sure that I do have the prores codecs,
I strongly suspect that it may also be a problem, which is discussed here:

...namely, that the codecs are just not visible. Unfortunately, this discussion is not resolved either.

suggests something complicated (because I yet would need another Adobe version), which I may try at some point.
Alright. That is all the effort that I can afford in time for this. I am too exhausted to go on so I'll do a workaround in FCP
– now that I got it – and will ask someone else to encode my outcome to a prores-Version.
If I feel like it – and yeah, I'd rather work with the Adobe Suite CS6 mostly – I'll come back to this discussion after a having clean wiped my computer and reinstalled everything.

Adobe Media Encoder

I currently have Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium which includes everything from Photoshop to Premier Pro and more besides. It also has Adobe Media Encoder which I use regularly for encoding videos. I have recently been joined in to a team which has Creative Cloud, so i now have a creative cloud enrollment and am about to download some of the newer products.... Creative Cloud would be more advanced than the CS4 that I currently have. I use Media Encoder a lot with video productions, and would like to know if Media Encoder is part of the new Creative C.loud offering (I dont see mention of it anywhere on the downlaods page, and dont see if it is included with premier pro for example) I have been advised by support that there could be conflicts if I continue to run CS4 at the same time, so I would be best to deactivate and uninstall all the Adobe Creative Suite Premium CS4 software BEFORE installing the new Adobe Creative Cloud softwares. So the question is...am I going to lose Media Encoder? Or is it included somewhere?

I'm viewing the exported clips in Windows Media Player. I've tried 3 different versions of Windows Media Player: 9, 10, and 11. The video is extremely dark (barely visible) in all 3 versions of the player. So I've ruled out the player as being the problem. By the way, the video looks fine when I play it in the timeline in Premiere.
There are no effects at all. I've just got two clips on the timeline, one after the other with no transition or other effects. I'm trying to get the export function to work properly and don't want to complicate the testing with any effects at all.
When I export the clip using the command File>Export>Movie and export the short clip as an AVI file, using the Cinepak codec with the default settings, the video looks just fine (and the audio is fine too). It appears to be something with the Adobe Mpeg Encoder. The only time I have trouble is when I use that function to export.
BTW, the exported clip also looks good when I export it as a Quicktime Video.
(I'm hoping to get the size of the exported files down for use with a non-profit I'm trying to help and I want ot use the MPEG encoder to give me more exporting options.)

Adobe Media Encoder: CBR bitrate problem!

I'm having some problem with Adobe Media Encoder. I've edited a HD video (recorded with a Sony HDR-FX1) and created a MPEG2 file using the preset "1440 x 1080i 25 Hiqh Quality". The video file size is 7,25 GB.
Now I want to put this video on Motionbox and Vimeo. I found on the web some settings that seems to be perfect for Motionbox and Vimeo.

As many of you already know, Motionbox doesn't have any file size limit, while Vimeo has (1 GB). So i thought to reduce the bitrate quality for Vimeo, while using, as written in that JPG, 4 Mbps CBR Bitrate. Here's the problem: I change the bitrate (for example 1,6) and I exit the export settings panel, so that I'm back to the AME start screen. If I initaliaze the queue, under the video settings on the left, the CBR bitrate is back to 3. So it seems like I can't change the bitrate.
I've used the same settings that are in that JPG so I can't understand what is going wrong. If I select 4 Mbps it goes back to 3 and the same happens if I select 1,6 or 2 for example. How can I fix this problem?

Off-topic, but related to your naming convention in your reply, post 4.
Adobe has been using the "Pr" to designate Premiere for a version, or two now. I've been using "PP" for Premiere Pro, and "PE" for Premiere Elements, as I follow both fora now. Though it will take some retraining on my part, is the conventional wisdom (no pun here) that the acronym is most correctly stated as "PrP" and "PrE?" I also use PS for Photoshop, and PSE for Photoshop Elements, so it's not a matter of the characters. I just want to use the most correct acronym, for clarity in posts. What are your thoughts?
