Adobe Muse 100% Width Content

Hi! I'm trying to follow this tutorial: Adobe Muse Tutorial - Responsive Design Hack! by MuseThemes.com - YouTube
The idea is that using text box, making it 100% width then cutting and pasting your content in it, it will be responsive like that. However, I've had no luck. I followed it over 3 times, did exactly what he did and did not get the same result. The result I got was content that just centers but does not stack like that once the browser is shrank.

Seems text frame is not full width , please try to check and make that full width and preview. It should work with full width frame.

The only way I see this would be possible is through using JS that you can insert using the Object -> Insert HTML option, you may grab the XML to HTML code from here - http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_to_html.asp
In order to test this out, simply download the sample XML file from the following location - http://www.w3schools.com/xml/cd_catalog.xml and save it somewhere locally. Now add this file to your Muse project using File -> Add Files for Upload option, it would then appear within the Assets panel.
Add the code to your page and update the path referencing the file cd_catalog.xml to assets/cd_catalog.xml. Now on previewing the page in browser, you should see the populated HTML from the XML.

How to make an Image in Adobe Muse 100% height ?

100% width, it's ok; but I don't find how to make a 100% height image (wich follows my browser height)?

You can use the image as browser fill and then set the position of image such that it remains to its position. This can be used as a workaround for using image as browser height.

Muse 100% width elements and images have a small white gap running along the right hand side on mobile site

On the mobile version of my site all the 100% width elements and images have a small white gap running along the right hand side. This looks very unprofessional. There are no other elements outside the area. Any ideas anyone? All advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have checked you site on the phone and it seems that Zak is correct.
Please go to the phone layout and make sure there is no element out side the browser area at the right side.
You can simply do Select All to find if anything is outside the browser area. If you find anything you either need to delete it or you need to bring it in the browser area.
If still an issue please share he muse file with us and we will investigate it further.

Adobe Muse: Why does content have horizontal scrollbar and not fixed?

I've read through the different forums and tried to apply an anchor with low x width but it still doesn't do anything?

Adobe Muse and CMS for Customers

Does Adobe Muse contain a Content Management System, respectively is it possible to integrate a CMS?
After releasing the homepage, being able to administrate contents on ones own is normally important for customers. Thanks for feedback ...

You can only use a CMS system if you host using Adobe's Buisness Catalyst (good luck if you do as it's not very good in my view).
It has been asked since the first release that Muse should be able to handle a decent CMS system or even allow it to be created but this seems to have fallen on deaf ears so far.
There are options around it - for example any page that you wish to allow editing you could design and write in Dreamweaver using the components from DMXZone.com
You can then just Embed the page into Muse which would then use the same functionalites.
Obviously this will depend on how good you are at coding etc.. it's not something I have tried as yet but I have had success with the Mp3 player from DMXZone working within a Muse site, so there's no reason why it would not work.

How to make an Imagine in Adobe Muse span 100% width and 100% height.

So this has been really puzzling me for a long time now and I have not found the correct answer.
I want to create the effect on my website where I have an image that fills the screen now matter what size screen you look at it from. I know that this is possible with the 100% width option but you cannot replicate the same thing with the height.
The best way to explain what i mean is by showing this example I have found:

If you look at this site, the image fills the screen, use your zoom in and out tools and you will notice no matter what your zoom the page still stays in full screen view! Now, wat's evem better is when you go to scoll using your mouse wheel or the scroll bar, you will notice this full screen image then scrolls up.
Summary:
What I want is a full screen image which covers the screen no matter what size you look at it.
Any ideas??

Yes, you can create that.
Use the image as browser fill with position and apply scroll to fill , so that at certain key position the image will also scroll.

How to add Edge content to Adobe Muse? (I know that its been asked a lot)

Hello. I need a little help putting Edge content into my adobe muse website. I saved my file in edge and put all the content in a folder. The folder included edge_included and the other files generated. I then went to my muse site and inserted. I uploaded those files into a new folder on the root of my file manager on business catalyst and nammed it banner1.
I then inserted the following code into muse.

</iframe>
Banner.html was the only html file generated by edge so thats what I replaced "Project-Header-r1v1.html"
When I publish my site I get the error message "Page Not Found" where my Html content should be.
I was trying to put the html5 content in the presentation widget, and thought that it might be the problem, but it didnt work anywhere else on the site.
**The HTML5 content was just animated text used with TypeKit, Could this be the problem?
Any help would be apreciated, troubleshooting sucks! Thanks

From the error message "Page Not Found", it seems that you haven't given the path to "banner.html" correctly. You mentioned that you "uploaded those files to a new folder on the root..." - does that mean you put the html file and edge_included folder into a new folder in the webserver root? If yes, and if your page containing the <iframe> code is on root, you need to change the <iframe src="banner.html"... to <iframe src="folder_name/banner.html"...

How to fit content to 100% width?

Hi There, I couldn't figure out how to get my content to display at 100% width when I designed the background of my website in Muse so I tried designing it in illustrator then exporting it as an image to upload into Muse. I designed it to the default dimensions of Muse and it still doesn't fit the content window even when I snap it to the red guides it doesn't fit to 100% width. I even loaded some code into the master page HTML properties to stop the horizontal scrolling but that doesn't work either.

Thanks for your reply. Icame across that instruction in my search yesterday, I did it as you said but it still doesn't scale to the page width. It does in preview mode, but when I publish it it has a white box around the content. I set it to tile horozontally. I exported this image as a psd and a png file both have the white area around them when published.

How to set an object to 100% width now that Muse no longer has the button?

I'm trying to set a slideshow to 100% width like the tutorials constantly talk about, but that is no longer possible in the latest version of Muse. The button is gone. So how do you do it? And why did Adobe remove the 100% width button? They seemed proud of it when it was released as a new feature.

The 100% width option is available for the slideshow widget. But to use it in your slideshow, make sure you have selected the "Hero Image" of the slideshow and then click on the button of the 100% width option.

Are Edge Animates .OAM files that span 100% left to right with Adobe Muse even possible?

I can combine them but not with 100% browser width on both sides of the .OAM file published by Edge Animate? All I want is my .oam file to span from left to right of any sized browser without gap... HELP PLEASE! Is this possible with Adobe Muse & .OAM files?

Centering a full width image in Adobe Muse

Can anyone help. I am trying to centre a full width image in adobe muse but I am getting nowhere! I am trying to keep the center of the image in the middle of the browser no matter what the browser width. I am using the image as a fill in a full width box and have tried centering it using the fill options (top centre) and using the align (central ) tool for the box but neither seem to work. To add images press CTRL+D and then select the image and place it where you want.
To hyperlink it go to the top menu and there should be Hyperlink folowed by a box. Enter your URL to link in there.
You can also use the slideshow widget should you want to make a slideshow.

In other words, I would like the slide show image to be say 1000px x 500px but if the viewer pulls the browser width t 1500px the slideshow image would still show the full image by becoming taller. At the moment I can do the 100% width but the slideshow stays the same height and therefore crops the image. .
