  • Issues re-installing the Adobe CC Desktop app

For the last few months I was not able to log into my Adobe CC Desktop app. I would enter my credentials and the app would spin. then I would get a message saying that I was signed out. Today I decided to uninstall the app, restart my machine and then re-install the program. I have tried a few times, but the installer gets stuck right away and never moves. I am on a Mac running OSX 10.9.5 and I am not able to force quit the installation, so I am forced to restarted my machine. I have tried to install the app a few times, but get stuck in the same place every time.
Any ideas on what I can do?
    Thanks
    Matt

I tried solutions 1 and 2, but it still won't install. This is a work computer, so I don't have access to create new user account. I know my user account is not corrupt, because I just loaded some other software on it last week.
When I try to install the CC Desktop software it instantly stops and hangs. Here is a image of where it stops and hangs.

  • Will we still be able to use the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app after FormsCentral retires?

Is it just the online service that is expiring?
Will I be able to create fillable PDF's using the desktop app (not online) to create fillable PDF's?
    Thanks!

    Hi LeanneW,
Please see this section from the End of support | Adobe FormsCentral document:
You may continue to use the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app for creating PDF forms until you update or upgrade your Acrobat software. But the app will not connect to any online component or offer the ability to collect data or publish web forms. Furthermore, we will not be supporting the application once Adobe FormsCentral is retired in July, and so cannot ensure functionality moving forward.
If you have additional questions, please let us know.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app

Where is the "Collect Reponses Online tab in the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app" ?

Are you using the app bundled with Acrobat XI? or the one downloaded from the FormsCentral website? Only the former one has that tab.

  • How do I get Adobe Air Desktop App to notify user that a URL text file has been updated?

How do I get an Adobe Air Desktop App to notify user that a URLRequest ".txt" file has been updated? via blinking system tray icon or something.
New to Air and need someone to point me in the right direction. I have been searching web for hours and probably not asking the question right.
I have a very simple Desktop App that just loads a text file from a web location into a dynamic text field at a set timer. it just repeats this action on the timer. right now every 5 minutes
What would the actionscript be to tell the Air App to look at the date or time stamp of the ".txt" file and notify user if its new?
    Thanks

  • Unable to install Adobe Story desktop app on OS X

Hey everyone.  I'm a recent owner of the Retina MacBook Pro and subscriber to Adobe Creative Cloud.
I'm having trouble installing the Adobe Story desktop app on OS X 10.8.2. When I go to the Story Plus web app and try to install the desktop app, the Air installer says something along the lines of "...the installer is damaged. Request a new installer from the developer."
Now on my previous MBP, this had never happened, and the app installed the first try. I've tried a multiple times to get this to work, but no avail. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me get Adobe Story running as a desktop app.
Also, one more thing: attempting to log in to the Adobe support forums sends me into a redirect loop on my notebook. I ended up having to log into here on my iPad. Not sure if that's a bug or something on my side; thought it I should point it out.
Anyways, cheers and thanks to anyone who can help.

I see this link on the Adobe Story forum here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1078357. Please post here in the Adobe Story forum and they will help resolve your issue.

    Hello,
I'm sorry you're having trouble. I'm fairly certain this problem is occurring on the Air side and not on the Acrobat.com side of things. Please try reposting your question in the Air forums.
    Good luck!

  • Adobe AIR desktop app with an embedded runtime

    Hi,
Does an Adobe AIR desktop app with an embedded runtime (standalone/portable)  that got published on Windows work on a Mac too?
    Thanks

No, you need to compile a "bundle" with ADT on each platform. On Windows it creates a directory with an .exe and the AIR runtime. On OS X it creates a .app file.

  • How do I change to Student Account with Adobe Muse Single App Membership?

    Hello,
I have an Adobe Muse Single App Membership running, but now I want to change my account to a student account. How do I have to proceed?

You will need to cancel the CC purchased this month(the money will be refunded), then place a new order for Adobe Muse single app.

  • Installer for new Adobe CC Desktop app is a miss

    Hi,
I launched CC desktop (Windows) this morning and it notified me of an update. I clicked on "Install Now" and the download process started. Then the installation started and at the end, the application closed (in order to restart with the new version, I guess). It never restarted and I could not relaunch it. Logged off, logged in again and restarted Adobe CC. It notified me again of an available update. Endless loop starting...
After multiple attempts, I tried to uninstall from the Control Panel. No way (operation ended in error with no further explanation). I looked at the c:\Program Files (x86) folder and discovered I had two Adobe Creative Cloud subfolders : C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud and the same one followed by a version number : C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud_versionxxxxxxxx. Launching C:\Program Files (x86)\...\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe from either folder gave the same result : a new version is available blah, blah,... Endless loop restarting...
Since I could not uninstall, I deleted both folders and downloaded the Adobe CC Desktop installer. At the end of the installation, Adobe CC restarted but this crashed the Windows Explorer process. Then the application freezed while "File syncing".
I had to reboot and relaunch Adobe CC to get this toy working. It then took an eternity (about 10 minutes) in order to display the installed apps.
This, added to the many failures related to the installation of PS CC 2014, leads me to think that the QA dpt. at Adobe are currently taking their summer vacations.

    Seems to be working again...!
So after restart it looked the same... in startup tab it showed the cloud manager. But was not running. Went to my downloads folder where I still had the installer downloaded before my windows restore (the one downloaded yesterday was deleted after windows restore was done). Ran the installer and exually did something this time! It is installed again. At first it looked like it wanted me to download all the programs again even though I checked if they where still working... they did. (via bridge checked updates said they where all up to date).
Changed the language in the prefs panal under apps to English. Now it all looks like before I ran into this issue.
Not sure... But my guess is that it had to do with the latest windows update.
So... no need for a chat with support anymore
But... I do hope adobe will update the cloud manager asap so I can update my windows again.

  • Adobe CC desktop app

Received notice that a CC update was available. Clicked to install and twice got an error message (a12e1) indicating a removal and reinstallatio was required. Ran to cleaner tool per instructions. It deleted my CS6 PS app (thanks guys) and the updater says I do not have PS CC installed. It is installed and runs fine so how do I get my PS CS6 back?
Any why does the updater say I do not have PS CC installed...and why are you only open on weekdays? Dont you realize some of us creatives work nights and weekends?

You are probably going to have to uninstall PS CC and CS6 if it is indeed on your computer whether showing in desktop app or not.  Then run the cc uninstall program to get rid of registry entries.  The cc uninstaller only removes registry entries and at least for me does not actually uninstall anything, files are still on the drive.
You have to actually uninstall each application you want removed and then run the cc uninstaller to mop up any traces if any.  I ran into this same issue and just uninstalled EVERYTHING and then reinstalled using the desktop app.
The CS6 versions are NOT part of the CC applications so they will NOT be able to be installed via any of the apps for CC.  Instead you must go to the website and choose the application you want to download.  Photoshop and Dreamweaver along with other software that was in CS6 have a drop down box where you choose which version CS6 or CC.  Choose Photoshop CS6 and you will be able to download it.
All of the CS6 application plugins will be managed by the Adobe CS6 Manager which is stand alone to the CC manager, you will have both on your computer and you will need to use the CS6 version to manage these applications.  Fireworks, Photoshop CS6, Dreamweaver CS6 and others will appear in the CC desktop manager but to actually add/remove plugins you have to use the CS6 manager.  Is confusing and to me duplication but this is how Adobe wants this to work and they don't see anything wrong with it.
