Adobe Muse - Publish Hangs at 84%

I am trying to publish my test site but it's hanging at 85% - I see on other threads you said this might be related to Adobe server issues?

  • Adobe Muse - "Publish" Button Not Working

    I am trying to upload a website from Adobe Muse to Business Catalyst. Whenever I click "Publish" the window pops up and just says "Signing in to adobe business catalyst..." and never actually advances past that. It just keeps loading, and never gives me the chance to actually publish my site. I've waited and waited, trying several times, hoping it would eventually work, and it never does. What can be done about this? I need to this to work, as the website needs to be published very soon, Any help would be appreciated!

    The Internet Options set in Internet Explorer in some cases (like this one) control the settings for all applications on your computer, regardless of whether or not you've selected IE as your default browser.
    The symptoms you describe sound like something is interferring with Muse contacting the BC servers. My first idea was related to the fact BC increased the minimum security level supported a few months back, thus my question about what levels of SSL/TLS you have enabled. Your settings are fine.
    Assuming you can visit your site in the browser without any problem and can login as admin to your site (add "/admin" to the URL for your site to login to BC directly in the browser) that would make it unlikely there's a corporate/enterprise-level firewall or proxy server interferring. Though if Publish works from your home network and not from work, that would point back to a corporate firewall or proxy issue.
    Do you have Norton or other anti-virus/anti-malware software installed that may be configured to prevent applications other than your browser from accessing the internet?

  • Adobe Muse CC hangs @ 84% during installation

    I have installed a couple of programs this evening, Premier Pro & Acrobat.  I have been trying to install Muse and Photoshop this evening and keep running into problems upon problems.  Muse continues to hang at 84% into installation.  The last couple of log entires are as follows:

    After these actions, the installer just hangs.  Sitting for more than an hour changes nothing.

    My computer is a 2013 model Laptop, Windows 8.1 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i3-2328M 2.20 GHz processor. 
    I have searched the forums but I am either overlooking the obvious or this specific problem is uncommon.  Please help!

    Please uninstall Adobe AIR from your machine and then use the link : https://get.adobe.com/air/ to install Adobe AIR.
    After that try installing Adobe Muse using the link : http://www.adobe.com/go/muse_latest_win

    Try logging to the site admin console and under Site Manager -> Pages , you may find 2 index pages, open each of them and set the required one as a start page under Actions -> Set as a Start page.

  • Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden

    Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden. Not just for the website I was working on but now all my websites. It was working perfectly fine and when I hit publish it just crashes. I have multiple copies and different websites and they are all crashing when I try to publish. It seems like it is not an error for just the one website I was working on but the entire program is not functioning correctly. Here's a screen shot of the error.

    Mac or Windows? What's the error that appears? If it's an Apple Crash Report, please copy/paste the first few pages of it here.
    I strongly recommend against it (for multiple reasons below) but if you uninstall Muse, then go to the Creative Cloud Desktop App, and choose "Previous Version" in the Find New Apps section there will be a dropdown arrow next to the Install button. That dropdown will list all versions of Muse.
    If you've saved over top your existing file using the current version, reverting Muse won't work, since older versions cannot open files saved from newer versions. If you've don't significant work in the current version, that will be lost because you'll have to go back to the file as last saved using the prior version of Muse. Finally, there's a significant probability that error/crash is related to content in the file, network configuration, or other outside forces and if that's the case reverting won't avoid the error/crash.
    If you share more info about what error you're encountering, I expect we can determine a workaround/solution.

I have tried just publishing altered files only, then tried the whole site again, and then tried publishing as a new site altogether. Thought I would then try to export as HTML in the hope of uploading the files via an FTP client and Muse crashes and locks up again. I am extremely stressed about this as I am in the last few days of of website I have been working on now with no issues since December. We are due to go live and my client needs to see it. I am desperate for an answer. It is not looking good. I am on an Apple Mac and have not had any isses publishing it for the last 6 months. Not very happy to say the least. Need desperate help.

    Hi Zak, I got onto Adobe Customer Care Live Chat this morning and gave them the error message. After some trouble shooting with them it appears the older archived file of the site still publishes. I have now reverted back to the old file and copied and pasted out of the new file and from some ideas given to me by support I am now able to publish to Business Catalyst. It seems there was something corrupt within the new pages added yesterday. I have no idea if this would have still happened if I hadn't updated but I am glad it wasn't a Muse specific problem. I am loving using Muse and the support from Adobe has been excellent. Thanks everyone. By the way I do love the new version and apart from this hick up that lost me a few hours, aged me some more and gave me grey hair I really love Muse. Thanks again.

  • My Adobe Muse website wont publish, it's running slow and showing a server error

    I've had a website in adobe muse that I've published many times before with no errors. After publishing, It tries to upload the site and loads it very slow and stops at about 69% and says the server is not connected, even though I have internet, checked the firewall and updated the cache in explorer. I was able to upload another website that I have on Muse, it loaded slowly also, stopped at 97%, I resumed it and it loaded.  What to do next?

    The site is hosted through business catalyst: northstarconservancy.org. I've had no issues with this website in three years and have been able to edit and publish with no problems. It shows a server error and says to check my network connection. I noticed that adobe was working on their server the night before I had this issue, so I will probably have to call the tech support and see whats up with it, since it seems related. Thanks, Amanda

  • Is there any way to publish from Adobe Muse directly to a domain without Business Catalyst?

    I'm getting extremely frustrated with Adobe Muse. I think it's ridiculous having to go through Business Catalyst to publish a website when I have already purchased my own domain. Please tell me there is a way around this.

    No problem. We recognize it would provide a more consistent user experience if we merged all possible output paths under the "Publish" experience. It's just not something that's hit the top of the priority list, yet. Enjoy Muse.
    Just as an fyi, there are currently 2 features that require BC hosting, so you may want to keep those in mind as you plan/develop your site.
    1) The CAPTCHA field in forms; and
    2) The In-Browser Editing functionality.
    We are aware many customers would like to see these features enabled on non-BC hosting.

    I am having a problem trying to FTP my site created in Muse, too. I am using "Upload to FTP host" (Found under File) and after several tries I am still getting a different error message each time: "Error uploading (a certain file which happens to be a jpg this time!). Click Resume to try again. If this problem persists, try again later.
    [426 Failure reading network stream.]."
    I tried again and again and again. So I called the host company and I checked to see if am using all the correct settings that they have.They verified that I had the proper settings.
    Still no success.

    Please be aware that there's a scheduled maintenance undergoing for Business Catalyst, it will take another hour or so and during this time the site creation and Muse publishing are not working. You will need to do this after the maintenance is over.

    Apple discontinued it on June 30, 2012. Many of its services are now provided by iCloud; anything which connects specifically to MobileMe won't work.

  • Fail to publish from Adobe Muse

    Hi all,
    I succesfully uploaded my site form Adobe Muse, but now it won't work anymore. When I push the publish-button I see 'load sites' and than the error 'can't load the list with data centers'. When I type my site 'engagethepeople', I see in gray under it 'engagethepeople01.businesscatalyst.com', which I find rather strange. I added a screen shot to this post (I'm sorry it's in Dutch, but you'll know wht it's about).

    When you type the name of the site, Muse tries to create a new site and thus you see 01 appended to the site url because engagethepeople.businesscatalyst.com is already taken by your site that you previously created.
    Error:"Can't load site list" is a temporary error that you get when Muse is not able to contact data centers at Business Catalyst. That could be due to an outage on the server, so I will recommend that whenever that happens you check this page for any on going issues, http://status.businesscatalyst.com/
    For you I will suggest that you choose your site name in the 'Publish to' box, or in your case 'Publiceren op', instead of trying to create a new site and let me know if that works or not.

    Initally my Muse software was working without problem. Now, I continue to recieve the error:
    "Error uploading file jquery-1.8.3.min.js. Click Resume to try again. If this problem persists, try again later."

    I've just noticed that if it is a different tablet than iPad and smaller (I tested on Nextbook 8), the browser takes a phone version from the published Adobe Muse file!!!! not a tablet version!!!! It only concerns websites created before a new version of the Adobe Muse and converted. If it was done within the last version of a program - everything is ok. I tried to change master pages and resetting automatic redirection (site properties) and nothing works. I can't built this page one more time from scratch. Please help me.

    Hi,
    Kindly sign out of the Muse application (Help Menu-> Sign out)
    Then, close Muse.
    Re-launch Muse, and try publishing.
    Check if that resolves the issue.
