Adobe Muse trial doesn't install (Mac)

After retrieving the Muse trial downloader from here: [Link Removed - BT] I can't complete the install. I double-click the Setup app, enter my admin credentials, and...nothing happens. No other apps open, nothing installs...absolutely nothing happens.
Phone and chat support are both worthless, directing me here instead since *apparently* they only care about their paying customers. It's disgusting. I'm evaluating their product in order to potentially become a paying customer. You'd think they would want to help me in any way possible...
So, rant aside, I appreciate any advice anyone can provide. I've found other links to a "beta" version - is the trial something different, or would I be better off pursuing the beta?

My sincere apologies for the confusion! Your frustration is certainly warranted! Here is what happened: there was a cross-team communication mix-up and it caused a bogus trial version of Muse to be posted on that link you referenced. As you correctly noticed, the installer doesn't function at all! We're working to get that cleaned up ASAP.
For now, here is the link you need to be using get the latest version of Muse.

Adobe Muse 'Trial initialisation failed' on Mac

Hello,
I am interested in trying Adobe Muse, however whenever I try to begin my trial I get an error message that says 'Trial initialisation failed, your trial has expired'. I have never used the software before, and I have tried creating another Adobe ID, I have installed it on another system and I still get the same error.
I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 on a late 2006 iMac.
All help is greatly appreciated.

Muse Trial was instal on one of our Mac, trial was over, then we get instal to another Mac with new Adobe ID, but he said on last step after login ID that 'Trial initialisation failed, your trial has expired. as if we install muse before...and nothing helps. we try delete OOBE and MBLStore and Adobe muse, reinstal adobe air, but nothing ...it looks like its blocked with our global ip, but it can not be. Why he (Adobe Air?/Muse) think that we had already instal and over Muse Trial on another machine (Mac), when we did not do this? like all our Mac is the same one.

My problem is essentially as stated.
I down loaded a trial copy of Contribute 6.5 to my Mac which has 10.5.8
As this will not support Contribute 6.5 I transferred to download, to
my laptop which has 10.6
It would not install. I wass advised to download Adobe Advisor, which
I did and it reported "no issues"
How should I proceed?

Adobe Muse trial crashing on launch

I'm a bit perplexed. I downloaded Adobe Muse trial and can't get it to stay open. When I launch it, it opens to the welcome screen and then it just crashes. I get the following:
I have uninstalled and re-installed it several times today with no joy. Any help would be appreciated. I really want to evaluate this so I can decide wether to buy the subscription

The problem is probably not the shear number of fonts that were installed but rather a problem with one specific font file, or font family. In the future if you start adding back in some of these fonts and find Muse crashes again, you may be able to identify the specific font (or set of fonts) that are triggering the crash. If so, we'd be grateful if you sent a copy of the problem font file(s) to us at [email protected] along with a link to this thread. Even if a font file is severely corrupt our font parser should not crash. So if you encounter a font file that's causing a crash we'd like to take a look at it so we can correct the error handling in our font parser. Thanks.

Adobe PDF IFilter doesn't install with Adobe X (10)

Am I missing something or Adobe X Reader doesn't install any pdf filters at all. I searched even with IFilter Explorer 2.0 and I can't find any in this latest version. Can someone help me with any information regarding this isue, does Adobe uses some other system or I just installed it wrong?

According to this page, "The iFilter shell extension has a limitation with Microsoft Desktop Search and is not installed with Reader X." I'm not sure what "has a limitation with" is supposed to mean.
Adobe has really left us up the creek without a paddle here. They stopped posting separate IFIlter installers on their download page when they started bundling it in with Reader (except for the 64-bit version of IFilter 9), and the installer for Reader X not only doesn't include the IFilter, but it actually removes whatever IFilter you've got installed. So, you can't, for example, install Reader 9.4 to get the IFilter from it, and then install Reader X over top of it to have a more modern/secure version of Reader, because your IFilter will disappear. You are stuck choosing between Reader 9.4 with a somewhat modern IFilter and probably poor security, or Reader X with no IFilter (or the last IFilter to have its own installer, version 6.0, which is 6 years old).
Dear Adobe, this is a real mess that needs to be fixed. How many people out there have no idea that their PDF files are no longer searchable because Reader X removed their IFilter? At least create an installer for IFilter v9.4 so people can use a modern IFilter in combination with Reader X, instead of being forced to use Reader 9.4. There are a lot of posts in this forum about the missing IFilter, and I don't see a single reply from Adobe.

Installer misconfigured on Mac OS X (Adobe Muse trial version installation)

Having issues trying to install a trial version of Adobe Muse on my mac. Anynone experienced the same problem?

What specific error messages are you receiving? Which version of Mac OS do you have installed?

Adobe Muse Trial

I try to install a trial version of the Adobe Muse, English & Mac version, and an error message pops up, "Sorry an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file in damaged". I downloaded the installer a few times, and the problem persisted. Anyone???

If you are running a version of Muse that is older than 2.3, there will be no way to update to the newer version without first uninstalling the current one, due to a signing certficate mismatch. You can read more about that here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/certificate-revocation-faq.h tml.
Keep in mind that if you uninstall Muse, it will in no way impact your .muse files or your published websites -- they are entirely separate from the installer. There will indeed be a small update coming soon that will address various bugs that users have pointed out in the forums.

Cannot get the latest version of Adobe Muse to update and install

When I open Adobe Muse it asks me if I'd like to update it, I say yes to the install. It then transfers me to the Adobe Application Manager where it says that there are not updates and that I have the latest version already? I know that this is not the case as many of the "new" functions advertised on the u[date aren't present in my version. I have already tried updating my Mac's operating system to Yosemite what apart from taking ages didn't make any difference I have also uninstalled Muse and reinstalled it but it still didn't make any difference! Help I really don't know what else to try?

A reply to myself! Thanks to Adobe support I needed to update the Adobe Applications Manager to the Creative Cloud App which so far appears to have fixed the problem

I have the exact same issue with the exact same laptop and those troubleshooting documents did not help.
I double clicked ADM to install. Ran the installer. It installed and nothing happened.
Some time later I found that an error popped up and said I need Adobe AIR to run ADM. So I downloaded AIR.
I double clicked the AIR dmg and then ran "Install Adobe Air". Again nothing happened. No error windows or anything. I rebooted, made sure I wasn't missing an error window anywhere, updated my Mac (just in case) and still nothing when I double click "Install Adobe AIR". It's not listed in my Applications folder either.

I did follow your two documents, because I said I followed "The Adobe AIR installer doesn't display a window when launched."

Why is Adobe Muse a trial version when you have a CC membership?

I have the full creative cloud membership and I noticed that after the last upgrade of the application manager, Muse has downgraded to "try" rather than install. It was available to install prior to the the application manager upgrade.
I'm keen to know why access has been removed.
I checked the publicity material on the site and it claims that all proudcts are available with full membership, inclduing Muse, so what has changed?

I try to create a homepage with a slideshow and less text.
I create a pattern page in adobe muse und then go to preview. But the preview shows me a big distanc between slideshow and footer. what did i wrong?

Thank you for your response. I unchecked "sticky footer" and now it works.
Now I have another problem maybe you can help me?
I want a fixed header and footer with the imprint in the footer and logo in the header.
If I add a text frame on my master page and check them as footer the footer is fixed. Doing the same for the header logo/text is not fixed? Do you know why?

Adobe Muse trial on Mac 10.6

How can I get a trial version of Muse for OS 10.6? It seems there was a Muse CC and a Muse CC 2014 but the 2014 version needs 10.7 or greater. I can only run 10.6 so I need the earlier trial version. Is it available anywhere?

As you are on MAC 10.6 you can install Muse CC (7.4) on your machine.
1. Please go to the link below and download Creative Cloud Application:
https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
2. Once installed Login with Your Adobe ID and Install Muse From there.
3. It will automatically install the compatible version of Muse.

Creative Cloud App breaks Adobe Download Manager, doesn't install apps, now I'm unable open apps

This has been the worst cloud app experience I've ever seen.
First of all the CC app overwrites the Adobe Download Manager to the point where you'll never be able to go back to it again.
I would normally be OK with this, but the CC app doesn't work and closes itself instantly, rendering it completely useless and unable to install any of the CC apps.
After an hour and 20 minutes between being on hold, and speaking with support, I have no solution.
I'm now at a point where I have no apps installed, and I can't install any new apps because the CC app doesn't work, and the Download Manager will either a) error if CC app isn't installed, or b) open the CC app if it is installed (which doesn't work, and instantly closes).
Overall, it's a disaster

I'm wonder if it might help to start fresh,
Uninstall any Creative Cloud programs
Control Panel > Programs & Features (Windows 7)
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (XP)
Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers (Mac OS X)
Run the cleaner tool to ensure everything is removed

Reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app from https://creative.adobe.com/products
Reinstall applications
It will be a lot of work but it will probably fix it.
