Adobe Muse Trial says "please connect to the internet to continue"

Just downloaded the trial version of Muse this evening so that I could refamiliarize myself with the software when I got this error message:
"Please connect to the internet to continue
   Your computer seems to be offline. An internet connection is required. Please connect to the internet and try again."
Troubleshooting steps taken:
1)   Uninstalled and then reinstalled the software and then rebooted my machine before attempting to run Muse.
2)   Uninstalled and then reinstalled Muse using the v2.3 link provided by Mr. Zak Williamson on previous posts (also rebooting before attempting to run Muse).
I am running a MacBook Pro (Early 2011 model): OS X 10.7.5 Lion, Intel Core i7 2Ghz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, AMD Radeon 6490M, Airport Extreme wifi card w/bluetooth. I am running only the default OS X firewall.
I have been planning a website redesign for some time now and I would prefer to use Muse for this rather than have to switch to a different product (this would completely disrupt my current workflow).

    The Adobe Muse trial keeps telling me I'm not connected to the Internet when I indeed am. This has happened to me with the v7 Beta as well.
    I have put off my website for a month now because of this version and the beta doing this to me. I cannot take this problem much longer, as it affects my work and job severely.
    In the beta, this happened after input of Adobe Login credentials. In this version, it happens right after you accept the License Agreement.
    A repsonse and/or a fix would be great. I pay $20 a month for my 2 websites on BC, so not being able to work on something but still paying for it irritates me.

    How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall (Jose, your screenshot makes me suspect that's the case)? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?
    Richard, have you tried installing the latest (post-Beta) release of Muse (you can get that either via the Creative Cloud, or from http://www.adobe.com/go/trymuse/)? From your description, is it possible that Muse can't connect to the internet? That is, if you're on Mac do you have AirPort switched on and connected - or are you connecting via some other means (eg, a 3G broadband card)?
    If that doesn't address the problem, please send the PDApp.log file in
    on Mac: <yourusername>/Library/Logs/PDApp.log
    on Windows 7: <youruser>\AppData\Local\Temp
    to [email protected] along with a link to this thread (and the subject FAO James).

    Ok. I have no more patience.
      - I've read every blog, every solution I could find online.
      - I've chatted with half a dozen reps on 'chat' and even had 2 hour long phone calls with reps that have English as their 3rd language.
       -I've had Adobe so called IT poke around in my system a couple times now
    I've tried it all,
    -deleting temporary files from AppData
    -uninstalling/reinstalling
    -checking every firewall loop hole
    -Installing a trial version
    -and a dozen other little dances.
    I'm sick of starting over witha new rep who doesn't speak my language (English) and just keeps going to the book of troubleshoot, and then close my case and I never hear from them again.
    I'm sick of paying monthy for a program I can't even use.

    If you have already checked your anti-virus/Firewall's configuration and disabling them doesn't help, have a look at this thread that talks about clearing Muse's cache/preferences - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5086018#5086018. Please follow all the steps listed here if you haven't done already.
    If nothing works, please create a fresh user account having Administrator privileges on the machine and install in that user account.

  • CS6 error - Please connect to the Internet and retry

    Running CS6 Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator for the past couple years on an older desktop. Running Windows XP and have had no known issues using this software until recently when trying to open. Now when opening any of these programs I get a pop up asking to "sign in with your Adobe ID to use your trial of Adobe Flash ProCS6." (same with the other programs when opened).
    I enter the login info and get an error that says "Please connect to the Internet and retry".
    I am connected. Hard wire connection. I am using a home computer. Clock is set to correct time.
    Because I am running XP I need to keep using CS6 on this machine and cannot yet upgrade to a newer version to reinstall.

    Are your programs serial number versions from before the Cloud, or did you subscribe to the Cloud and install the CS6 versions since you have XP?
    And/Or... have you ever installed any part of the Cloud?

    Hi staff,
    I'm happy to tell you that the former problem with the error message "Please connect to the internet…" when trying to start Muse is solved now by the latest update. At that time I talked to James Boag, he assumed Muse might not recognize my USB-modem (and I should try a different access point, which I didn't) but this is not an issue any more. When I launched Muse recently, it updated automatically and then started with no problems.

    I’m afraid I cannot really help you.
    I did not make any changes on my running system except that I’m on 10.8 Mountain Lion (upgraded from 10.6.8., no Lion in between), but this did not change the behavior of Muse at first. Only the update, which started automatically when I launched the app on August, 21, (still the trial version) caused the difference.
    My firewall is on and in the firewall-options Muse has allowance for incoming connections, see the attached screenshot (sorry, in german, but you will understand the meaning). Airport is not active and I did not change my way to connect to the internet (as James Boag from Adobe suggested earlier, see also attached mailing). It just worked.
    Meanwhile I upgraded to the official version (2.0.945) and still it works.
    Hope you find a solution.

    This is still happening for me.  I downloaded the beta yesterday and am on 10.7.  I run software update but Muse is not showing up as having an update.  My firewall is not running.  Any suggestions on how I can get this running would be much appreciated.

    I am connected to the internet, my clock is right, and I've done the troubleshooting steps from the help pages. Still no luck. I can't seem to figure out how to generate a "request" code to go the offline activation route, as I don't get the error link mentioned in the help file. Any ideas?
    Internet Connection Issues
    Temporarily Offline
    If your computer is temporarily offline (travel, internet connection issues etc.), simply go online within 7 days of the first launch of your Adobe product to complete an online activation and registration.
    Permanently Offline
    If your computer is permanently offline (i.e. secure environments like government, banking etc.) you need to complete an offline activation within 7 days of the first launch of the software otherwise it will stop working. You need an internet enabled device and your product's serial number to complete this process.
    1.
    Follow the installation or product launch screens until you see a link that says "I cannot connect to the internet" or "Having trouble connecting to the internet" [this never appears]. Click the link and follow the instructions on the subsequent screen to initiate offline activation. Instructions there will tell you how to generate a Request Code.
    2.
    Use an internet-enabled device to
    Generate a Response Code
    . Sign in and enter the machine specific Request Code as well as your product's serial number.
    3.
    Enter the Response Code on the installation or launch product screen of your offline computer when you are prompted to complete the offline activation process.
    Notes:
    - The Request Code is machine-specific and valid for 72 hours. If it takes longer than 72 hours to complete this process, simply generate a new Request Code.
    - Volume customers should consider using the free Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE) 3.0 to package Creative Suite applications. By packaging their volume license using AAMEE 3.0, only the IT Admin needs to complete a one-time activation and sign-in, not individual users. Click

    I originally installed the premier elements trial on my computer. shortly after a friend of mine purchased premier elements for me I have the codes and everything I verified the product several times and it has been working great as of recently i am getting the error message: Please connect to the internet and retry

    Internet is running fine on my computer and the clock was indeed set to the wrong time, i set the correct time it but it is still giving me issues not allowing me to login or use the program
    additionally: why do i need to sign in to the internet every time i use the program if i already purchased it? shouldnt i be allowed to use the program even when there is no internet connection available? why is it asking me to sign in every time. what gives?
    p.s. i had it installed on two previous computers. One of them i bought wasnt good and i wiped the drive before i returned it to the store.
    the other computer is an old computer its still on there but im not using it because its too slow to run it.

    What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running.
    Using Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit, I ran into the same Internet/Clock message and used the following solution to resolve that specific issue.
    ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE12: Sign In Failure (Connect to Internet or Fix Computer Clock)
    Please determine if it will work for you.
    You need an Internet connection for product installation, for some first time/one time feature activation, and use of Online Services offered by the program. Other
    than that you should be able to use the program without an Internet connection.
    When you have been going to install Premiere Elements on any of your computers, are you getting a "same purchased serial number on more than 2 of your
    computers" message? If not, then there should be no involvement needing contacting Adobe about the use of the same purchased activated serial number on more
    than 2 of your computers.
    Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
    Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Add On...Just in case note...deactivation and uninstall are two different things...so Help Menu/Deactivate or Sign Out (depending on your version)
    and, if necessary, then uninstall using the usual Control Panel route (if Windows).

    I'm going berserk with the validation of Lightroom serial number -- after I input the serial number, although I have no problem with my internet connection, it keeps putting me on the "Please connect to the internet and retry" screen.
    I tried going through the steps to just activate offline, but I have not clue how to get the Request Code, since there isn't a link that says "I cannot connect to the internet" or "Having trouble connecting to the internet".
    Has anyone else experienced the Adobe validator telling you you're offline when, in fact, you are online? I'm at a loss as to what to do here.
    NOTE: I subscribed Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan.

    After reinstalling Dreamweaver CS6 om my new windows 8 computer, I received an new serial number. So far so good. Now, when I want ro run the program a message pops up, wanting to me sign in.:

    As far as I know there is nothing wrong with my clock, and I am connected to the internet all the time.

    I've signed out of creative cloud on my Macbook Pro in order to use my log in details on another Mac (rented for an onsite edit abroad), I now want to return to using creative cloud on my Macbook but I'm having issues signing back in. I keep getting the 'Please connect to the internet and retry' error message even though my network is working fine, I have tried connecting on my home wifi and the network at my office. Does anyone know how I can sign in and use my Adobe apps?

    Everytime I try to open a CC application I get a mesage that I must sign in.  (Did not need to do this until I purchased)  Now I get a message when I try and sign in that either my computor is offline or the clock on your computor is set incorrectly, causing a connection error.     As mentioned, starting with version of Premiere Elements that is being used and the computer operating system on which it is running are important in generating troubleshooting strategy.
    But, the description of what you wrote caught my attention with the words "trying to start" and mention of need for Internet connection when you knew one existed. What was the exact full message from the program in this regard?
    Depending on further details from you, you may have run into the same issue that I did recently. I have written about the experience including the remedy

    The answer for me was to update the Adobe Application Manager as per the input of an Adobe Staff member. Details in the above blog post.
