Adobe on iPad 2

Having trouble using the highlight function on the iPad 2.  Using iOS 6.0.1.  Cannot get highlighter to work in the same way as it does on my lap/desktop.  Have no access to highlighter colors. Is the highlighter function available for the iPad 2?

Yes, Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Where is the 'document' that you are trying to read ? If it's on a website then browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some flash-based sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

  • Opening a file from the Cloud of Adobe Reader - Ipad

    Hi,
I have got a serious trouble with my Ipad. It's been about 3, maybe 4 days that I can't open my files from the cloud of Acrobat.com if it hasn't been open recently, thus not in the docoument.
When I try to open a file, I click on it, and then, it do not open, just stay blocked on "Opening... X Mo." without never progressing.
I thought it was maybe the internet connection. But the Cloud of Pages, Numbers and Keynote works perfectly.
Then, I did some manipulations on Adobe Reader : I deleted it, then downloaded it. All the files are in it, but I can't open them. I 've checked the version of Adobe reader and it's the latest one. I've checked the version of My Ipad, and it's the lastest one too. I even turned off my Ipad, then turned it on. Nothing.
So, I thought it was maybe the files itself. But I can open them on the cloud of my computer.
Ps. About subscriptions, I bought the Pack (about 79€ a year).
    Sarah
Sorry for my english, I'm french
Hope you'll understand what I'm saying.

    Hello everyone !
I backed up my Ipad, then restored it and... It works
Hope It will help some of you. I was soooo deperate and then, I can get back to work

  • Set Adobe Reader iPad/iPhone app to just view pdf instead of downloading it?

    Hello,
I work for a financial company and it seems that some of our user's were having trouble viewing a pdf document that contained editable text boxes.  The layout of the form itself would show, but none of the text within the text boxes would appear.  So I tested the pdf out on my phone as well and did the same exact thing (layout shows, but no text).   Since everyone was having trouble viewing the text within the document, I downloaded the Adobe Reader App and it worked perfectly.  The only issue that I have is that since we are a financial institution, we get audited quite often and having documents stored on your phone is a big 'no-no' to the auditors.  So I was wondering if it was possible to make the Adobe Reader App just view the pdf instead downloading the pdf to the application and storing it in the docs and the recent docs setting.  A little more info on our part:   We are running Exchange 2010, my iPhone is a 4S and it's running the ios7, and the iPad is running ios 6.1.03 (I think).  Also, I did a little bit of searching but I could find anything but is there some sort of list that will say what does/does not work in regards to pdf's on iPhones or iPads?  Any suggestions/help is very welcome and appreciated!
    Thanks,

Hi Shradha and thank you for that information.  Now is that only in regards to the Adobe Reader app or does that copy expand to all current pdf viewer apps on iOS?  If it is only in regards to the Adobe Reader app, then do you know of an app that may have the functionality that I am looking for?  I have tried searching for one, but I have been unsuccessful in my searches.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe viewer, iPad retina, videos

How can I get the videos to show on Adobe viewer on my iPAD RETINA? Some videos I can view, but others I can't. On my iPad 2 I can view all the videos on the Adobe viewer.

    Thank you for your reply.
I am making an apple app using Adobe's InDesign. To test my folio files, I
upload to the Adobe Cloud and view the folio file on my iPad 3 with the
Adobe Content Viewer. The text, jpegs and buttons and the videos play
according to the folio settings i  have chosen.  Screenshot #1 shows a page
of the folio article as it looks on Folio Preview. Screenshot #2 shows what
happens when I tap on Behind the Scenes button. The video comes on full
screen according to my Folio Overlay settings. Everything works according
to the folio settings when I view the article on my iPad 3.
    THE PROBLEM
I recently purchased an iPad Air with the Retina Screen. When I tested my
InDesign folio with the Adobe Content Viewer on the new iPad Air, the text
and jpegs looked sharper and a lot cleaner than on the iPad 3. The buttons
worked according to my settings. The video, however, did not show up. I can
hear the audio. I can see the control panel, and I see the 'Done' when I
tap on the screen. But the screen remains black.
    THE ANOMALY
Screenshot 3 shows the video button for Stuart. When I tap it on the iPad
Air, the audio comes on but the screen remains dark. I can see the controls
when I tap on the screen.
Screenshot 4 shows the InDesign page for James. Screenshot 5 shows the iPad
Air Retina shot of James. When I tap it on the iPad Air, the video and
audio respond according to the folio settings. (See Screenshot 6)
On the iPad 3, the folio responds according to the folio settings.
How can I remedy this situation? Whatever help anyone can give me would be
    greatly appreciated.
    KJC

  • Comments from Adobe Reader (Ipad) is not readable on PC (missing Helvetica font)

    Hello!
I have a such problem - my chief is commenting pdf documents at his iPad. Problem is that this comments cannot be viewed, because of missing font "Helvetica". I cannot find any options to change font at Ipad. As I know - Helvetica font is commercial font, so I can not find it in web and install to workstations. How it can be solved? Help, please!

    Hi,
When a particular font is unavailable on your system, it should be automatically substituted with the similar font that exists on your system.  (As a user, you do not need to do anything.)
On your PC, which PDF viewer application do you use to view the PDF document?
The desktop version of Adobe Reader should not have any problems viewing the comments created by Adobe Reader/Acrobat DC for iOS.
Do you get an error message on your PC?  Would you take a screenshot of the error message and post it to your next forum reply?
How to add a screenshot to a forum message from iPad/iPhone
Does your chief use Adobe Reader/Acrobat DC for iOS to add comments to PDF documents on his iPad?  Or does he use some other iOS app to add comments?
    Thank you.

  • Adobe on ipad and iphone

How can i see the docs that i have on my adobe on my ipad on the adobe on my iphone?

Same problem here, ever since the update was released a few days ago. And, judging by the 140+ angry posts in the iTunes store, we have plenty of company.
I just found this post in another thread on the subject, by someone who works at Adobe:
You are not alone. There are installation issues for everyone when trying to upgrade to Revel iOS version 2.3.2. We have been working closely with Apple to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We have resubmitted an update to the app store and are currently waiting for app approval from Apple.Users can access photos on adoberevel.com on iOS devices or any other device or computer, and from our mac, win8, and android apps.
Adobe team, I strongly advise you to post updates on this problem on your app page in iTunes and Google Play, as there are a lot of angry customers out there. No news is bad form.

  • Folio issue - not showing in Adobe Viewer iPad 1

I have a Folio created at 1024 x 768. It is loaded through the Folio Builder and everything is filled on in the Folio Producer.
When I log into the Adobe Viewer on an iPad 1, it does not show up.
    My Adobe Viewer is up-to-date.
The Folio is created for Viewer 20.
Our Branded Viewer is updated to Viewer 20.
I also have another version uploaded at 2048 x 1536, it shows up in the Adobe Viewer on iPad 3.
Anyone have any ideas why is will not show on an iPad 1?

I am not sure exactly what happened. One of the articles imported, but it wqas scaled down 50%. Due to the size difference it would not load to the Viewer.
Reloading into the Folio did not work. I created another Folio with that article, loaded it. Then I copied from one folio to another in the Folio Producer.
    Go figure?

  • Can Adobe Nav iPad app connect to CS6?

    Hi all,
I've recently moved up to CS6 and I'm having trouble getting Adobe Nav to connect on my ipad.  Any thoughts?  Is it compatible with cs6?  I deleted the app from my ipad and then installed the most current one from the itunes app store.  No dice yet... am I missing something?  Thanks!

Yes, it is compatible with CS6.
Don't forget to enable the network server, and set your password in CS6.

  • Adobe and ipad

Sorry if this topic has been discussed before but I
have a question that someone might be able to answer:
Is adobe ever going to make an acrobat app for the ipad?
I am having issues with people signing douments that were orininally signed in acrobat.
    Thanks

Right now, Adobe Reader is not available on iOS but there are some third-party PDF reading apps - however their support for things other than simply reading the file tends to be very poor indeed, so forms, signatures, scripting, etc. are going to cause trouble, and the more complex a form is, the less likely it is to run in non-Adobe software.
We have limitations on what Apple will allow on iOS, which at the moment means things like embedded Flash content (for rich media annotations and PDF Portfolios) is totally off the table. We also have issues supporting JavaScript, but in time I hope these will be resolved.
Meanwhile, it's worth looking at a web-based solution for your iOS users, such as Adobe FormsCentral - as this is rendered entirely in HTML it works on any device. Though it of course requires the user to be online while they're completing the form, with iOS devices that's a fair assumption.
The features FormsCentral supports are constantly expanding, so if there's something you need which isn't available right away, it'll probably appear very soon, and please send in suggestions. You can still use a PDF form for your desktop and offline audiences, and combine the returned datasets using the respective export features of both Acrobat and FormsCentral. Running this two-tier PDF+HTML workflow is getting quite common, as it leaves pretty much every platform and OS avenue open to users, while keeping it quite simple for the form creator to aggregate all the data into a single spreadsheet. PDF forms can be more powerful of course, but until you can open them on your Internet Refrigerator there's going to be a need for a plan B!
