Adobe Output Designer-Message #6015

Hello party people
I'm playing around with Adobe Output Designer 5.5 for quite some time. But yesterday i faced a quite uneasy problem while doing test presentment.
When i did a TP(Test Presentment ) for a particular dat file it's showing me an error : "Error '-99' returned from print module. Make sure the 'Output to' or 'Print to' location valid. - Print job aborted.
Fact1 : I checked out my TP targets and things seems to be well in place.
Fact2 : I'm not facing similar issue with any other dat file.
Fact3 : While doing TP , i'm able to view blank pdf template as well as pdf with xxxxxx values.
Fact4 : When i dropped the dat file in data folder for Adobe Central Server to pick it up and process the same , i found error file(.err) got generated but no dat file(.dat) for it. When i opened the dat file it showed me following details :
[6]Error opening .MDF file 'E:\jetform\central\form\DOAPSR01.MDF'.
2009/06/09 17:39:46 E:\JetForm\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [397]Unable to open jetkeys file '.\unitable\pc85u2tb'.
2009/06/09 17:39:46 E:\JetForm\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [125]* Processing data file: 'E:\jetform\central\server\Data\DOAPSR01_Template.dat'.
2009/06/09 17:39:46 E:\JetForm\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [6]Error opening .MDF file 'E:\jetform\central\form\DOAPSR01.MDF'.
2009/06/09 17:39:46 E:\JetForm\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [210]Nothing was printed.
2009/06/09 17:39:46 E:\JetForm\Central\Bin\jfserver.exe: [314]Agent exit message: [6]Error opening .MDF file 'E:\jetform\central\form\DOAPSR01.MDF'.
Hope to solve this minor mistery quickly through this forum. My first post on it as well
hoping against hope
thanks

Hi Chris thanks for reply ,
As per data security i think i wont be able to share much of data or error file to you. But as i was analysing error file i found
"[138]Invalid options on '^subform' command."
My dat file is referring to few subforms , so when i commented a particluar subform in my dat file i was able to do test presentment succesfully. But still i have few doubts about the hit n trail solution.
My .idf file has just pages : 1 & 2 [Pg 1 is blank with only feld CONTINUE_FIELD ; and Pg 2 is real form with various fields ]
My dat file is referring to three subforms in total in sequence : INTIALLY it was like
^subform 2
//data
^subform 3
/data
^subform 3
//data
After following up err file i commented subform 2 & subform 3 in my dat file like [ i didnt know how to comment a line in dat file but after googling i found that if i put ; in front of a line it will be considered as comment , if someone could tell other way to do so i would appreciate]
AFTER changes it was like
^subform 2
//data
;^subform 3
/data
;^subform 3
//data
My Doubt : I can see the TP now but what i see is something like this...i see proper content on PDF page1 (all Pg 2 fields of .IDF form); but on pg2 it's just printed ;^subform 3 and on & pg3 its just printed ;^subform 3
So commenting tag ^subform 3 helped in showing up TP but it resulted in vanishing of data on Pg2 & Pg3 on PDF.
Now i doubt what went wrong ?? Somebody pls comment or compliment my hit & trial skills
thanks

  • Anybody know where I can find tutorials and training materials for Adobe Output Designer

    Hi everybody,
I am a graphic / web designer and newly appointed on a project requiring Adobe Output Designer skills. Now, I've already searched in a lot of places: but still couldn't find a reliable source of tutorials and training materials for Adobe Output Designer.
    Can anybody help?
    thanks a lot in advance,
    ovlique

The DJI cameras were first supported in ACR 8.3 and more support added in ACR 8.4:
    Lens profile support | Lightroom 5, 4, 3 | Photoshop CS6, CS5 | Camera Raw 8, 7, 6
You will need PS-CS6 or PS-CC or PSE12 with current updates on OSX 10.7.x or Windows 7+ to use this version of ACR.
However, even if you have an older version of PS or older OS, if you can install the Adobe DNG Converter, you can copy these lens profiles to the User's lens profile folder and they might be seen.  I can give more specific instructions about doing this if you are unable to update PS's ACR to 8.3/8.4.

  • Adobe Output Designer Migration

    Hello,
our customer has implemented Adobe Output Designer version 5.6 in Poland. We were asked for outsourcing of their Adobe printing solution. Could somebody help us please to answer the following questions:
    1) Is it possible to migrate content of Adobe Central Output Server resp. Adobe Output Designer without physically moving hardware? If yes, how can be such migration provided?
    2) Do we need to install the same version 5.6 of the Adobe Output Designer or we can install the version 5.7 and migrate the Adobe Output Designer content?
    Thank you

  • Adobe Output Designer 5.7 or later Trail version

    Problem:
Need to convert IFD file to XDP. Using Live Cycle Designer ES2 try to import the IFD file, following error occured "To import IFD, Adobe Output Designer 5.5 or later needs to be installed".
    Need Help:
What is the current Version of Adobe Output Designer?
is there any trial version avilable for it?
is there any alternate solution for conversion of IFD to XDP?
will be greatfull if you help me to resolve this issue
    Regards,
    Srikanth.

Hello Srikanth; I will contact you separately
    For others reading this thread
Most customers that need to convert an Output Designer IFD form for use with ADEP/LiveCycle Designer have access to Output Designer; the tool that originaly created the IFD files.
Current version is 5.7; the import feature in ADEP/LiveCycle Designer is the only conversion that Adobe offers.
The import requires Output Designer to be installed with ADEP/LiveCycle Designer for it to work.
The product is unfortunately not posted as a trial in a public place. To use the importer a licensed copy of Output Designer 5.7 should used.
Check around your organization for a copy; check your organizations S/W entitlements in Adobe LWS.
If you have an old version 5.4 and need 5.7; if you have current Adobe support; request an upgrade to 5.7 from Adobe Customer Care
The product is still available for sale and as a discounted license upgrade for customers that do not have current support.
If you have a regular Adobe representative for you account – a trial version can be ordered for you in a pinch – but this may take a while.
Adobe Partners with appropriate privilages can acess Output Designer 5.7  as a download on the partner portal.

  • Migrating forms from Adobe Output Designer 5.5 to Adobe Document Server

    Hi,
I have several form templates / layouts that have been created in Adobe Output Designer 5.5 (for mySAP) and I want to migrate these form templates so that they can been used in SAP Adobe Document Server.
Does anyone have any information on this? Any tools available? Documentation? Links?
    cheers,
    Joseph Gill
    SAP Developer

I would think the common sense approach would be to upgrade to ECC 6 first then migrate your forms.
This seems to be just another step in the upgrade process.
We went from 4.7 to ECC 6, but only had Smartforms and SAPScripts. We wound up just re-creating the forms directly in Adobe.

  • IS Adobe Output Designer 5.6 Compatible with Windows 7 on a 64 bit machine?

    Hi,
AFter Step 4 Output Designer just crashes on me?
    has anyone seen this before?
    Open Output Designer
Select the menu option File|Presentment Targets…
Select the option ‘Use Print Agent presentment target’
Select the driver oce_vhi and click ‘Font Setup…’I

It appears that Photoshop Elements was tested with Windows Vista and Windows XP with service pack two or 3.  It may work in Windows 7 but it has not been tested by Adobe.  Please feel free to respond to this thread if you receive an error during the installation process.

  • New User to Adobe Output Designer

I've been using Output Designer for a year, and have been trained to do just the basic (using fields, logos, text). Is there a way to scan an existing paper form into Output Designer, without having to re-type all of the information? What are sub-forms, and tear-offs? Are they useful? Has anyone used the global function? Thanks for the assistance.

The field is global to the specific data file (xxx.dat file) and any form references (^form formname.mdf) within that data file. There wouldn't be a problem unless Output Designer forms and those from the other software were called forth by the same data file (and they both used the same field names).
FormBridge was extreamly useful to us for our conversion effort. We had several hundred forms and we used the software for most of them, particularly those with lots of lines & boxes. Our design person finally got very proficient using the software and stopped using FormBridge except for the extreamly complex forms.
You would have to judge the usefulness for yourself, comparing its cost to the time savings. It takes just seconds to do a form while doing it all by hand, even using cut & paste, could take hours if not days. At the time we go it the pricing was:
    ]25 pages for $495
    50 pages for $890
    100 pages for $1675
    150 pages for $2400
    300-499 pages for $15.50/page
    500-999 pages for $14.80/page
    and so on
I can't find any reference to "Output Distiller" in the help for my version of the software (Windows). I do know that there is an Output Distiller as a part of Adobe Acrobat but I don't know anything more about it.

  • Help Required regarding dynamic subforms in Adobe Output designer

    Hi
I am working on a report(Purchase Order) whose requiremets are like this:
    1. It contains a Header. a detail part and a footer(trailer). The header and footer should get printed on every page.
    2. The detail part consists of 8 subforms.
Some of the subforms may have large data (basically the shipment or line information of a Purchase Order which may repeat based on the number of lines on a purchase order). In some cases some subforms may not have data at all, so these should not be printed when there is no data.
When the data is large and is overflowing into the next page the header and trailer are not getting printed on the next page.
    3. When one of the field is overflowing in a subform all the other fields are alligned to the bottom line of the overflowing field.
Has any one worked on these kind of requirements or if any one knows how these can be achieved , please post your inputs.
    TIA
    Vijay

    Hi
I would like to elaborate what exactly my problem is . In the detail part of my report all the subforms should be in a rectangular box with the detail header. So Should i make the Rectangular box as a seperate subform i should draw lines along with each subform which would be part of that subform.
When I tried making the box as a seperate subform the subforms data is appearing after the box in the Test Presentment but my requirement is that the data should be printed in the rectangular box.
Can anyone suggest how i should go about this problem.
    |This is how my data should like in a box. |
    |All the subform data should be displayed in the box. |

  • Need help on resolving the issue with adobe output server - error MSG256 & MSG 210 not in .ini file

    Hi,
I am using adobe output designer 5.5 for designing the label template and using the Adobe output server for printing process.
In the Jfmerge.ini we given the condition "DiscardUnknownFields=Yes" for ignoring the unwanted fields in the .dat file.
During the process, I faced some issue with the output server in printing the labels.
When the .dat file is placed in the Data folder of adobe, the label is not getting printed in the printer.
The file is move to the error folder and an error file is getting generated which contains the error message as given below:
    090826 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [256]** Message Msg256 not in .ini file **
    090826 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfmerge: [210]** Message Msg210 not in .ini file **
    2009/08/26 02:59:02 D:\Program Files\Adobe\Central\Bin\jfserver.exe: [314]Agent exit message: [210]** Message Msg210 not in .ini file **
The output server is a new installtion and I verified the Jfmerge.ini file. It contains the message details of Msg256 and Msg210.
I also verified the license and it is a valid licence.
Kindly help me out in solving this issue.
    Thanks
    Senthil

I assume this is too late to help you, but other might need a hint.  I had the same problem, and found some possible causes that I posted on http://codeznips.blogspot.com/2010/02/adobe-output-server-message-msg210-not.html.
It is quite likely that you are missing some double quotes around the path specifying the ini file (-aii), if its installed under "Program Files".
    Hope this helps anyone....

  • Output Designer version 5.6  vs. 5.5

    Hi there,
I am new to Output designer. I opened a .ifd file that was created in version 5.5 and tried to test presentment(the data file is a xml file) and i got error: #2210 unable to open data file. it can be successfully tested in version 5.5. Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi
I had a similar problem and was given this suggestion
    Update the winmerge.ini file
When attempting to use an XML data file in Test Presentment, the error #2210 Unable to open data file will appear.
This problem occurs because several areas in the file winmerge.ini are not updated properly during installation.
You can rectify the problem by updating these areas. The file winmerge.ini is located in the Output Designer installation directory, by default C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.6.
The first area is in the [Paths] section.
    As shipped, this section specifies:
    [Paths]
ExePath=[EXEPATH]; Full path of directory holding executables
EtcPath=[SERVERDIR]; Full path of directory holding configuration files
LibPath=[EXEPATH]; Full path of directory holding DLLsUpdate the three pathing values to point to the installation directory.
For example, if you installed Output Designer to the default directory, update the [Paths] section as follows:
[Paths]ExePath=C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.6; Full path of directory holding executables
EtcPath=C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.6; Full path of directory holding configuration files
LibPath=C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.6; Full path of directory holding DLLs
The second area is in the [XftMdf].
    As shipped, this section specifies:
    [XftMdf]
    JfXftMdfCommandLine=[EXEPATH]\JfXftMdf @P1. @P2.
Again, update the pathing value to point to the installation directory.
For example, if you installed Output Designer to the default directory, update the [XftMdf] section as follows:
    [XftMdf]JfXftMdfCommandLine=C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.6\JfXftMdf @P1. @P2.

  • Output Designer 5.7 Errors - Error 1804 Unable to open configuration file

Hi...Receiving error messages on accessing newly installed Output Designer 5.7.   Installed on new Win7 laptop.
Error # 5903 -  You must select a Printer before saving.
Error # 1804 - Unable to open configuration file "....\Config\PDF.ICF"
The last error, Error # 1804, closes out the application.   File does not exist within the path.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same result.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Elena.

    Hi Elena
This is most likely caused by missing admin rights on Win 7. I have seen this problem within my company.
When installing Adobe Output Designer it will be placed in %ProgramFiles% which is your C:\Program Files folder.
In subfolder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Output Designer 5.7\Config there are many configuration files that controls your printer drivers (Presentment targets). Dependent on what user type you are in Win 7 you might not have write access to files in this folder. When you cannot write to this folder you cannot make changes to your printer drivers or install new ones and you are pretty much stuck.
Solution: Create folder C:\MyPrograms and install Adobe Output Designer here.
