Adobe Package installs fail
We are using Casper to manage our systems.
Using CPPLauncher, we created our set packages and added them to Casper (they are a simple drag and drop option).
Users then use self service to install Adobe packages on their system.
However - we are experiencing that with many users, once they installed the package, any attempt to install additional packages fails.
I have tested this on a number of machines. Even uninstalling the application using the Adobe created uninstall package does not help. The install still fails with the message "
Have anyone else stumbled upon this issue?
This works perfectly.
After trying the acrobatcleaner, reinstalling reader, going to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader and running Eula.exe and accepting the licence it still did not work.
I ran the protected script that Pat supplied and it worked first time.

The laptop is running Windows 7 64bits with Internet Explorer 10 and the Windows automatic updates is turned on. The problem happens when the Windows keeps installing the Internet Explorer 11 every time between shutdown process. So I decided to download
IE11 offline installation and try to install from it but the problem doesn't solve, the installation still does not complete. I have tried to delete all files in the Windows temp folder and IE temp folder already but the problem still exist.

Taweesak ArchawamaitreekoolDISM.log would make this clearer. And using ProcMon I suspect would really make it snap out at you. <eg>

Unfortunately, since then others have quickly stuck a pin in this balloon, finding that it is just one more bump in the road, but at least working around this coding error should change your symptom.

I have tried to create a symbolic link as suggested on a forum but the problem still cannot be solved. The error message from IE11_main.log file is exactly the same as before.

We hope your issue has been resolved, if you've found solution by yourself. We would appreciate it if you could share with us and we will mark it as answer.
I am looking to your log find that it's trying to launch DISM from c:\windows\SysNative. You might try build a symbolic link from c:\windows\system32 (where DISM lives) to the non-existent path c:\windows\SysNative. Then check the issue again.
To build a symbolic link, try workaround as Brian's reply to this thread.

Illustrator won't install completely (Tools missing etc) tried to upload the exit code errors that came up at the end of install; didn't work; too large?? sent it abouy 12 hrs ago and got an update from Adobe for all others in CS5.5 but am only using Illustrator in Class. IE 10 will not install in Windows 7 64 bit SP1
I go past the prompt that says "restarting programs". Then the installation fails. The updates are all up to the minute.

Why is the adobe air installer failing?
Hi there,
I am trying to install Story Plus on my laptop, but I get an error message saying there's a problem with the installer, get a fresh copy from the author.

Adobe CS2 installation failed on macbook air
I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS2 on Macbook air, but when the installation goes the half way, system generates a message, "installation failed, please contact the manufacturer". Could you please help me to resolve the issue. thank you
Assuming it is not an OS compatibility issue (which it may well be), you would not be able to activate it anyway. The activation servers for CS2 and earlier are dead and gone.

When I try to install Adobe CC apps, it says the installation failed (with every app). However, the apps seem to work properly, except for Audition (crashes when started). I tried updating the apps, but updating fails too. I'm running it on Windows 8.1.

Unable to launch adobe story app, because adobe air installer fails
Hi,
I am having problems launching the adobe story app. Everytime I try to open it it tries to update and it then launches the adobe air installer which always fails and I get the following message: Sorry, an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
If I close the message it launches Adobe Story and it happens again, and it goes into an endless loop.
I've re-installed the latest version of Adobe air on my computer, and it still happens. I am able to login to Adobe Story on the webrowser but there's a lot of files missing. From reading the discussions I'm thinking this might be because its a free account, and the app is no longer available, and since it didn't sync for a long time.
If this is the case, is there a way to recover the missing files without upgrading to a paid account?
I don't want to pay for an account and discover that the files are still missing.
or is this a completely different issue?
In case this information is relevant I use an iMac with Mac OS X version 10.7.4, 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory.

You can get the contents of the install log using the following steps:

Open the Console application from the Applications/Utilities folder.

Select all, and then copy and paste into a text file.
