Adobe pdf files

my adobe pdf files are not working on the safari, they don't open and something pops up that says i need to accept the user agreement but i've done it so many times. how do i fix this? please help!

If you are seeing a User Agreement repeatedly, make sure you actually installed whatever application your'e using (Reader?) into your Applications folder. A common mistake is to have an application sitting on its installation disk image, which may cause it to believe it is always starting for the first time and therefore presenting the first-run User Agreement. If that is happening, install it and then unmount the disk image.
You should be able to read PDFs with no other programs needed, by using QuickLook (spacebar) in a folder window or on your desktop.

Hi... I would like to purchase a Tablet Sony Xperia Z 2 10.1 (the last one of the Z series) and I was told that Adobe does not support Sony anymore.... I need to be able to open and read Adobe PDF files and I would like to know if this tablet can still use Flash Player...
Is there anyo who can help me with this? I asked in the shop and I was told "yes of course" , but when I contacted Sony directly I was advised to check with Adobe as apparently in the recent months Adobe and Sony haven't been getting along anymore...

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
    1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
    2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

  • Hp LaserJet 4050n won't print Adobe PDF Files

I have a new Computer with Adobe Reader 8.1 with Windows XP Home. I have a HP 4050n LaserJet printer. I received two Adobe Pdf files in a email today. My first attempt to print them gave me the following error message:
    PCL XL error
    Subsystem: KERNEL
    Error: ILLegalTag
    Operator: 0x1
    Position: 11005
I then downloaded the latest HP drivers for XP, PCL 6 and it didn't work.
    I next downloaded HP driver 4050n 5e.
The first pdf file printed just fine. The Second one printed with letters and symbols running through out the page.
Can anybody tell me how to solve the problem? Is there a special driver needed for my 4050n printer? Am I using the right version of Adobe?
    Thanks,
    John

I uninstall the HP5e driver and stayed with the Pcl 6 driver. In order to get the pdf files to print I had to go to advance and select images without a back round. Then the file printed out. Seems like a
    waste of my time.

Download: you just download it as you would any other document.
Convert to Word: either using the ExportPDF online service, or Acrobat.

  • Why do old Adobe PDF files which I attach to a document show as Firefox files instead of an Adobe PDF file after an Adobe Reader update??

Why do old Adobe PDF files which I attach to a document show as Firefox documents in my files instead of an Adobe PDF file after an Adobe Reader update?  My saved files Adobe PDF documents also appear as Firefox documents instead of Adobe PDF files.

NO MATTER WHAT VERSION OF WINDOWS YOU'RE USING:
Right click one of the PDFs with the Word icon.
    Select "Properties"
Where it says "Opens With" there is a button to change it from Word to Adobe Reader, which should be in the list of available programs that pops up.
Choose Reader, and click APPLY before clicking OK.
That will change ALL PDFs to Reader as the default application.

  • Problems with Adobe pdf files as attachments in Mail

I have 4 Adobe pdf files that I can open and view without a problem.
The minute I try to attach them to an email to send to someone else, they show in the email as blank pages with the message that in order to be viewed, a more recent version of Adobe needs to be downloaded. It doesn't make sense - if my Adobe is up to date enough to open them normally, why can't Mail open them as attachments?
    Flummoxed!

I have sent you an email reply with the following text:
I would not say things are exactly OK, but here is what I found out:
The two documents were produced by the program described at the link below:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/designer/
The forms, which would open in Adobe Reader 9, are filled out -- typically forms that you file out on such agency sites are only printable, and cannot be Saved in a filled out form -- yours are filled out with data -- data that could be sensitive. I will delete them very quickly, as soon as we have concluded any discussions.
Neither file could be opened with Adobe Photoshop CS3, except to show the same error message, which is pretty unusual, nor could they be opened with Graphic Converter any differently, which is equally unusual.
The file header, when observed in Raw Source, says the application that produced it is unknown -- a good reason Mail nor Preview could open. I am pasting in one of the file headers from Raw Source view:
    --------------090301040801050804080205
    Content-Type: application/x-unknown;
    name="09.02.06 FKR IT34 Assessment 2008.pdf"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
    Content-Disposition: inline;
    filename="09.02.06 FKR IT34 Assessment 2008.pdf"
All-in-all I would say these are very unusual files.

  • Adobe pdf. file attachments not opening - solutions please?

Hi, I receive a lot of attachments on email that are Adobe pdf. files.   My BB Bold says that it does not have the software to open such an attachment.   Can anyone point me to and Adobe Reader for BB or show me how to activate it if it is already on board.   Thanks !

how are you trying to read the PDF ?
from the email? "open attachment" ?
do you have that option ?
can you open other attachments like DOC or XLS or JPG ?
can you save the file to your device, then use BeamReader to read it ?
you can read the following article from the knowledge base :
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10172
Unable to open attachments on the BlackBerry smartphone
is your device connected to BES ? If so, ask your IT admin.

  • How do I continue to be able to download Adobe pdf files with FF4.0 as I was able to with all previous version?

With FF 4.0 I can no longer download Adobe pdf files. At any website when I click the pdf icon something is displayed about a plugin-handler and nothing further happens - there is either no download or the download stops. Sometimes a partial frame of the pdf frame displays but nothing further happens. I never had this problem with previous versions of FF.

You must be doing something wrong, or perhaps Windows 7 is interfering. Here's the step-by-step process:
    Launch LabVIEW 2009.
Open an 8.6 VI. It should show up with an asterisk in the title bar.
    Make some changes.
Select File -> Save for Previous Version.
Verify that "8.6" is selected in the dropdown.
    Click "Save...".
In the dialog click the "Save" button to accept the default of saving the VI into a new folder called "<VI Name> Folder".
Close the VI. When asked if you want to save changes click "Don't Save".
Check the timestamp on the newly created file in that folder.
Open the same 8.6 VI again.
    Make some changes.
Select File -> Save for Previous Version.
Verify that "8.6" is selected in the dropdown.
    Click "Save...".
The "File name" textbox should have the same default name as previously. If you click "Save" Windows should move you into that folder, and the save dialog should remain open. The file listing should contain the VI.
Click on the "Current Folder" button. You should get a dialog warning you that the operation will save over existing files. Click "OK" to continue. The VI will be saved as the previous version over the previous save that was done. To verify this, check the timestamp on the file.
I just did the above on LV2009 running under XP just so I could get the button names correct.
You can repeat steps 10-16 as many times as you want without needing to create a new folder.

  • What are the best practices for average size of an Adobe PDF file on a Web Server to be downloaded?

We know at a certain point, an extremely large file can be slow in downloading/accessing from a web site, and lessens the end-user's experience.  How large is too large? What is a good average or suggested size for Adobe PDF files in general?
    Thank you for any guidance.

I'm sure it varies depending on one's opinion but we have a policy that they should be under 1- 1.5MB. This isn't always posible of course. Our PDF's are mostly informational and contain little or no graphics.
I would say that it greatly depends on the PDF. If you get up over that size, you should do your best to optimize it for your users. Sometimes you can only do so much.

  • Reinstall of Reader - Cannot open Adobe PDF files

I uninstalled Reader thinking I would just open everything in Acrobat.  WRONG! I reinstalled Reader but cannot open any of my Adobe PDF files.  What do I do?

    Claudio,
Windows 7 Professional. Latest Reader Version was uninstalled and then reinstalled. No error messages.  But a window opens up that says:
Attachment: 8x8fax.pdf from Inbox - [email address removed] - Microsoft Outlook
Would you like to open or save to your computer?
Clicking on the Open Box does nothing. I can forward to another computer and open the pdf from there but that is a pain.
