Adobe PE8 Help needed...blocky images when in play mode.

I have a Problem with blobby images and frame rates ( not sure if frame rates is the correct word!)
I'm attempting to captured my DVD from disc onto the program, which i have done, It loads ok, however it seems to be all blobby, blocky squares on the screen, as soon as it run plays. The audio runs fine.
My system in case anyone wants to know is Dell Dimension DXP051 Intel(R) Pentuim(R) 4CPU 3.00 Ghz 2.99 Ghz 3.50 gb RAM, although there is 4gb in there, i have added the rest in the past 6 months !, why it only show 3.5 i don't know! 1 x 160 gb HDD, 1 x 500 HDD, both internal and a 1.5 TB external HDD, plenty of HDD space! although i'm not sure if the RAM is enough? i have quite a few software programs, however I never have more than 1-4 running at the same time, only have PE8 running on its own at the moment.
Anyway going back to my issue, it seems to do this even if i put 3,4 images in the timeline, ( on a seperate project) is this an issue with my PC, graphics card to do with PE8, I have installed the updates by the way. Any help would be appreciated.
I do not seem to have this issue with other picture programes.

Glad that things went well. One needs to read the instructions for each driver, and never trust that the procedure is exactly as it was only a month ago for the same card. Normally, it is and is only a simple download and execute, but I have seen times, where one had to first disable certain features in the card driver's console first. Always check carefully.
The two main drivers to be aware of are the video and the audio, as they often get broken by OS updates. Next most likely is not really a driver, but the firmware in one's DVD burner. Those get replaced about every 6 mos. +/-. Many of the other drivers are provided by the OS, but there can be many exceptions.
There are some utilities, that claim to get all necessary drivers on a system updated automatically. I have never seen one that worked very well. This is especially true with the video and audio drivers. What those utilities say is up to date is usually 9 mos. out of date and maybe 6-10 updates out. I would not trust such utilities, and would just do it by hand and get the drivers from the mfgr's. site, at the first sign of trouble.

Audio Problems in Adobe Presenter: Help Needed Urgently!!

I am using trial versions of Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe Connect 8.
I created a presentation in in Powerpoint 2002 and published through Adobe Presenter to Adobe Connect Pro. This presentation has voice over recorded through the Adobe Presenter "record audio" option.
In Adobe Connect Pro, I created a meeting and shared the above mentioned presentation through the "Share Document" option in Connect Pro.
Now, when I play the presentation in this Adobe Connect Meeting, I am not getting any audio that was recorded in Adobe Presenter. Whereas if I play the published presentation directly it plays the recorded audio.
Can anyone help me on this?
1. Are there any settings to be done in Powerpoint or Adobe Presenter or Connect pro?
2. Is it the problem of Trial Account or something like that?
Please let me know the solution. Need to work on this ASAP!!!

This is a weird one. If you created a prezo with audio and published it to AC (Adobe Connect) and everything worked fine on your desktop then it should work fine in AC i.e. there are no other settings required on AC's side, it should just play.
As I am typing this I thought of similar audio problems that we have experienced in the past. A big one would be where another user created a PPT on their laptops and handed it to us. When testing the audio did not work. Reason being is that not all the files were coppied over BUT I must accept that this is not your problem as it definately worked on your PC before you published it to AC.
Wait there is one setting in the publish settings. In the output options tick "Upload source presentation with assests", then tick audio.
I cannot think of anything else. There is a man called Heyward Drummond on the Adobe Connect General forum, who is a real master at answering queries like this. Why not post your query there and see if he comes up with an answer?

Pixelated images when in preview mode on iMovie, but when I pause it the images become clear. How do I fix this?

I just bought the latest version of iMovie and I am on 10.9.4. I transferred my slideshow from the old iMovie to the new one and almost all the pictures become pixelated when in preview mode. Yet when I pause it, the picture becomes clear. What do I do? It's driving me insane!

After more attemps at cropping Im noticing that the saved version is unzoomed, so if I move the zoom bar just a tad the image becomes instantly sharp. But sadly that doesnt help me because iphoto will only let me save it and post it online as the unsharp pixulated version. Can anyone please help me!

Please help, cannot compare images in full screen mode

I am not able to compare 2 images in full screen mode. I am using a MBP and a ACD 23". The main image will remain in the ACD while the image being compare is being shown in the MBP.
I am able to compare images in the viewer mode.
My main display is the ACD 23 which I selected using the display preferences under 'Arrangement' with the menu bar located on the ACD. In Aperture, Secondary Viewer is set to Blank.
I had also tried different combinations of Main Viewer and Secondary Viewer settings but was not successful.
Am I missing something? Anyone have the solution?Thanks in advance for any help.

Anyone have any suggestions to using Aperture to edit images using a MBP and ACD so that it best utilize Aperture full screen mode in comparing and narrowing down to the pick.
I am now trying to use the MBP as the main display and ACD as the secondary. This way I am able to compare images with the MBP in the Browser mode and the ACD display the compare images full screen. It work with the secondary display - ACD set to mirror, span and alternate mode.
It would be best if only one screen is use and hence save energy consumption (reducing global warming and bill, if it help).

I currently need a web page to be turned to image, so that later i can paint boxes and regions for classifying the various part of the page. The problem is the page is dumped to a jpg but the program doesnt wait for the page to load and gives me a blank screen shot. below is the code

what do u mean by stack trace ?
the problem is not the error with the image file, that is solved by using BufferedImage.
The Problem is the program not waiting for the page to load before taking the screen shot.
As for the error when using an Image for the ImageIO.write it was the following:

Help needed with Image Events problem

Hi there I'm writing what I thought was a simple script to convert a folder full of images from jpg to tiff. But the script fails when trying to convert the first image in the folder. Instead of converting the image, Preview opens with the image shown and I get this error message: error "The variable ImageRef is not defined." number -2753 from "ImageRef".
I have seen some posts about other people having the same problem, but I haven't seen any solutions.
Here's the script.

You may try something like the modified code below.
Noticiable changes :
#1 - Removed the parentheses. Your original code won't yield alias list but a list of finder objects, which is the reason why Preview opens the image. (The statment 'open finderObject' behaves the same as double clicking it in Finder)
#2 - Only delete the original jpeg files which are converted to tiff.
#3 - Build new path for converted image.
#4 - Save in new path. (When saving image in a format other than its original format, always save the image to a new file and do not attempt to overwrite the source file.)

Is Adobe Air SDK needed GPU information, when the game want to load the ATF file ?

this is jonghwan lee.
Actually I found texture load issue on a game(names samkukjangtu on korean) which is using Adobe gaming sdk.
the game uses the ATF file for the textures on the game(actually it's related in Air SDK, I think).
Of course, it is not problem for others GPU. but the newly launched IMG GPU( PowerVR rgx version ) makes this problem.
I guess the SDK is using GPU information for the control some configuration
is that right? please let me know about this issue ASAP.

Well. the issue is like texture loading problem as shown below.
<- this image is made from ATF files.
From checking original ATF file with ATF view program, the image was all right.
But the image is polluted like this after loaded on Texture memory.
So, I assume that Adobe Air SDK set some configurations for loading ATF files with GPU information.
Becasue this problem is not reproduced on the smartphone which uses the existing GPU(It means already launched GPU), but it is reproduced for the newly developed GPU(actually i'm developing with Imagination rgx version which is not really launched).
To sum up, Please confirm that Adobe Air SDK uses GPU information for loading texture from ATF file.

Adobe audition help needed ASAP

Im am currently recording a audio book at 48000 24bit mono (as requested by individual) and i need to do three things and I'm not sure id=f the order is important and if I have extra steps not needed. Three things needed repair clipping, delete noise and normalize to -0.1
I have been running the restore lightly clipped and it seems to work fine but I notice it reduces the amplitude (no problem) I know I can normalize. I also need to extrac the noise with which I can use noise reduction, then I need to noramalize everything. Are these the proper steps or should I be doing it differently and if so how and why. I am doing this out of the country right now and internet is very slow and irregular so I patiently await any response anyone may have.

Help Needed - Exploding Image

I am trying to achieve a specific effect in a short film that I am making, and I am having lots of trouble getting anywhere close. Hopefully, someone here can provide some guidance and put me on the right path.
I have a keyed-out image of a character, and I want the image to break up into lots of tiny balls. The balls should be textured with the part of the image file that they broke from (does that make sense?).
The balls should wobble a little, but maintain the rough shape of the original image, and then speed off in lots of different directions. I think I saw something similar in the Lawnmower Man.
I have been playing around with a tutorial that Patrick posted a few months ago, which showed a picture being assembled from loads of smaller images, and that is getting me part of the way. The barrier I am hitting is getting the smaller images into a psuedo 3d shape, and then keeping them in the same shape as the original image.
Any thoughts?

i don't know if this would work since i'm not in front of motion at the moment, but could you apply a Filters->Distortion->Sphere filter to the replicator cell? or even possibly to the replicated object (the image sequence movie).
(if you followed the tutorial that Patrick posted a while ago, i think he made this effect by using a replicator on an image sequence movie where the frames in the images sequence were the slices of the image).
if i have a chance i'll try this with a motion project i've got at home setup with this very effect. if i have any luck before you do, i'll post the results.

Adobe Audition 3.0 Delayed Start When Clicking "Play"

When I click "Play" or hit the space bar to play back an audio file, the green play arrow lights up immediately, but the playback line doesn't start moving to play the audio for about 1 or 2 seconds. I use Audition to play back prerecorded phone calls on the air, and it would be nice if I could tighten up this delay in playback. I am using Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no such thing as a 7450 so I'm going to assume that you really meant 7054.
It seems that is the TRIGWEAUT | NOR) command as documented on page 464 of the programming manual. I cannot find a function that allows you to set that - perhaps because the driver was originally written for a different model. The _ag6000a Default Instrument Setup.vi does set the sweep to normal. You can easily add a function that allows you to change between auto sweep and normal sweep. When you are done, be sure to post the finished function so that others can use it.
I did not try to find the Quick Measure function but I will tell what I did to find the information about the sweep. First I looked in the operators manual for a description of the scope front panel command. Then I looked in the programming manual for the command that did what the button performed. When I found the command, I opened the VI Tree and did a text search for both 'AUT' and 'SWE'. I looked through all of the VIs that had the text and found none that implemented the command.

Help Needed. DVDs will not play on my imac, they used to play.

The auto selection will not load my idvd app selction when I'm asked what to do when a dvd is loaded into the drive and of course the mac will not play the dvd.
The dvds are playing fine on my mac book pro no problem so its not the dvds, so I really am stuck with this, please help!!
