Adobe Photoshop 12 Mac, Installation problem

Hi there ! I have a Adobe Photoshop Elements bought a few days ago 12 full version in retail and this is now trying to install on my Imac. Now I am annoyed about the following problem. " This serial number for Adobe Photoshop turning 12 could not be checked out to the support. . " : After entering the serial number following message appears. Did anyone ever here have to do with this problemß

There is a German version because I'm from Germany. Excuse the typos. Here the screenshot of the error message. Could it be that the software does not communicate with Adobe , so the fault is by the Mac system? Please, i need help.

Photoshop elements installation problems

Hi there. I have a purchased disk of adobe photoshop elements 9 and i am having problems installing it on my MAC.
I tried to download it as well in case there was something wrong with the CD but the same problem appeared as well. It says "Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again." This appears in the middle of the installation procedure. My MAC runs OS X and the version is 10.6.7.
I also tried the adobe support advisor but it didn't detect anything.

thank you for you're answer. As already posted before, i tried every solution that came from the adobe support or i found in the web.
This included the solutions in the posted link. I deinstalled every adobe product on my Laptop and my complete antivirus and web Protection suite. I even made changes in the registry, that were suggested from the adobe support.
I had solutions from adobe developer after analycing my log files. That is the reason I spent this much time with installations tries.
That is the reason I asked for a service pack, because I see no chance in getting this version installed.
will there be a patch or something like that?

Adobe Photoshop CS4 Installation Error

I'm new to this site and my computer has Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1.
After I installed Photoshop CS4 trial, it failed to install Photoshop, but the rest were successful. I went to get more information and this is the message:

I have been using Adobe Photoshop CS4 for a few months now without any problems or errors.
But last week.. i had a virus problem and decided to do a Clean Installation of my Operating System.
I was not too worried because I have done this millions of times already... and know the process like the back of my hand.
Well.. after the clean installation was complete, i started to load my applications.
To my surprise.. Adobe Photoshop CS4 would not install. Nor would Adobe Illustrator CS4.
It would get to the screen "Adobe is beginig the installation process" and would stall ..
At first... i thought it would eventually complete on it's own.. but after a few attempts and hours of the same screen with no progress.. it was obvious Adobe was no longer responding at that stage.
I searched high and low, night and day, over a few days trying to figure out the problem.
I was trouble-shooting everything.
In the middle of trouble-shooting, i took a break to surf the Net and see if i could find any suggestions when i ran into this Forum.
Someone mentioned disabling your Internet Security & Windows Defender.. and i thought.. no way.. it can't be that easy.
Well.. what do you know.. it was my Internet Security (Kaspersky Internet Security 2010)
After disabling Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, Adobe flew right pass the part where it was stalling, and finished installation without incident.
Adobe Illustrator CS4 also installed without any problems ...
I just wanted to share my experience as i know how frustrating it can be when software refuses to install.

I had a similar problem when i extracted the contents of my Adobe DVD and made an ISO file out of it so i would no longer need the DVD for installation.
But what i realized is that.. Adobe will not install if it's installed from the ISO.. and during installation.. an error would pop up.. and ask for the DVD
You probably have done something similar.
Here's what i did to fix:
- Extract the contents of Adobe Photoshop CS4 into a Folder
- and install from that ..
After i extracted the contents and installed from "setup.exe" .. the installation completed without error ..
DVD
- If you're having problems from the DVD .. then try to extract the Contents of the DVD on to your Desktop..
and install from there ..
Trial Installer
- As for the Trial you are referring to .. im not familiar with it ..
but try to extract the contents of it to your Desktop .. and go from there ..

Adobe photoshop cs5 stroke problems

Dear Adobe Team,
We are using adobe Photoshop CS5 in our HP Workstation machine, but since we changed our OS in windows 7 we are facing stroke problems.
Like whenever we draw a straight stroke than it does not go straight it becomes curve type. Please find the below attached image of stroke.
We are using cintiq Pen display & HP z420 workstation.
So requesting you to kindly provide the solution ASAP

Well, works perfectly here... (PSElements 6 “Mac”)...
Select your image or specify an area...
Go to Filter / Render / Lighting Effect.../ and specify your desired options...
If that doesn’t work, delete the preference file...
If that doesn’t work either, you might have to reinstall PS Elements...

Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Problem

Ok so here is the problem. I have a windows vista. If that has anything to do with my problem. But the thing is everytime i try to download it i get a report saying i can acess it and it is already installed, but i can not find the file it is under. Could it be a computer error? Help if you can. Im not very good with computers my self so this would help alot. Thank you =)

Check if there is an entry of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 in your Add and Remove Programs wizard inside Control Panel. If not, it might be that due to some previous attempt PSE is installed on the system partly and for some reason did not rollback properly.
Look at the below link and try removing the corresponding entries for PSE 8 from the machine, and then try to run the installer with admin user again:

Make sure that you are not running any Antivirus (Espscially Norton) while installing PSE. You can resume the protection later once the installation is done successfully.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Installation Failed?

I have recently been trying to download Photshop CS6 but the Installation Fails and a Window pops up telling me that:
" A Conflicting or Prerelease version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 exists on this computer. The conflicting version before installing the current media.
" If the problem persists, please contact Customer Support for further assistance."
Can someone with experience of this or an employee of Adobe Photshop please help me with this situation, Thank You for your time.

Try this solution and check if it resolves th issue.
I you are on Windows Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe on a 32 bit machine. C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe on a 64 bit machine.
Find a folder named caps and rename it to caps.old.
I you are on Windows Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/
Find a folder named caps and rename it to caps.old.
Once you rename the caps folder try installing the software.

Photoshop CS6 Installation problems - Macbook

I've been trying to install a trial version of photoshop on my macbook, it's an early 2009 model.
Each time I try to install photoshop cs6 I get an error message, I have photoshop cs5 on this laptop, but I need cs6 for college, can anybody help? The error message I keep getting is ;

Adobe Photoshop 4.0-problems

I use Adobe Photoshop 4.0 on my iMac+Mac OS X 10.6.8. It quits constantly after having made two scans.

What "Photoshop 4.0"? Elements 4? CS4? In any case, neither of the two is certified for more recent versions of OSX and this may simply be unresolvable compatibility issues. You seriously should consider upgrading. similalrly, this may also be a dirver problem with your scanner for same reasons...

Photoshop 12 Installation Problems (boxed version)

Clicking on setup.exe (in Windows 7) produces this error message: adobe photoshop elements12\setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Generally this error occurs because there is a problem reading the disk. Try copying the contents of the disk to a folder on your desktop and then running Setup.exe from there. If you get an error during the copy process (like and in/out error), then there is some sort of damage to the disk. Simply go to Adobe.com and download the trial version of the software. Your serial number will turn it into a full version (the trial installation files are exactly the same as the files on your disk).

I bought Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1 cd-version today, but I've macbook air -computer and I can't use the cd - Would it be possible to install the software from internet by the code I have?

Adobe Photoshop 2.0 Problem

Hello! This my first posting. I had this problem about not being able to open My Catalog. Until tonight. I was able to figure out how to get the Photoshop 2.0.1 Starter Edition working again. I did everything the instructions said, except I substituted everywhere it mentions another Adobe Photoshop program(s) for Adobe Photoshop 2.0.1 I uninstalled the software from the Add/Removal list and went through all the steps. When I came across the registry keys mentioned in the step "Remove the following registry entries" I looked for the ones associated with Adobe Photoshop 2.0.1, and went on down the steps finding everything that had the Adobe Photoshop name attached. I also did a search of my system to make sure there wasn't anything else that I may have missed and deleated it. I re-downloaded the Adobe Photoshop 2.0.1 software and now I have it back, you'll also will need to re-register it of course. The thing is though if you had anything in My Catalog it will be gone but at least you have Adobe Photoshop working again. WHEN WORKING WITH YOUR REGISTRY KEYS KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

Adobe photoshop sdk download problem

Dear Experts,
Today I tried to download Adobe Photoshop SDK for window by creating an account on Adobe site. But once I login and try to download the relevant file ,it showed me page like "You are not autorised to view the page" or It won't redirect me to download page.I don't know whats the problem. Can't I download SDK free for personal use.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 (x64) problem on Windows7

Hi, everyone. I have a problem with Photoshop CS4 (x64) running on Windows7 (x64). When I try to launch x64 version I get message "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." It was working fine before and only today it have broken. By the way, Photoshop CS4 (x86) works perfect, I can't launch only x64 version. Have you any idea how to solve this problem?

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6 COLOR PROBLEMS

hi i have a problem on adobe cs6, i am a photographer and i work heavily on my pictures, sometimes with graphic techniques(like lens flare, light leaks etc) and sometimes just with camera raw. i have this problem in the sense that i am satisfied with how the final image looks on my monitor but when i send these pictures to both my phones (AN HTC android and a blackberry q5) the images look over saturated, the colors are too contrasted and are too deep, everything looks like i over edited it and i dont understand. my laptop monitor supports 32-bit imaging and its set to that by default, but my picture mode in photoshop is set to 16-bit by default, please help as i dont know what to do, could it be my monitor thats rendering false colors? i read something about changing color spaces to between sRGB adobe RGB and ProPhoto RGB but i just dont understand anything, please help

What is the images’ Color Space and do you embed the profile when saving?
In all probability your phones are simply not color managed.
So while converting the images to sRGB might improve the situation the issue may be that you are expecting what’s pretty much impossible – that images appear identically in color managed applications and on non-color managed devices.
