Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 closes soon after opening in Windows 7
I recently purchased the Adobe CC which includes Photoshop and Lightroom. I am a student and need Photoshop for both my Design and my Photography courses. I installed the program today and each time I open Photoshop it closes within a few minutes. I searched for fixes but the fix I found did not work. This was the uninstalling and deleting folders manually and then reinstalling option. Without a fix by end of month I will be cancelling this subscription and getting the refund because it'll be of no use to me and I cannot afford a new laptop on a single parent and student income. Any ideas or fixes out there?
Those are my system settings but am unsure of finding out how to find the reason for the program failure.

I downloaded Photoshop CC 2014 last week and every time I open the program, I get an error message that reads "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working" and it forces me to close the program. How to I resolve this?
Hi Noel,
I'm wondering whether your comment addressed to Lmono was intended for me Tmono.
You ask: "So why didn't you provide the same?"
It just didn't occur to me to do so.
My intent was to report that there was at least one other user encountering a similar problem. It occurred to me that Adobe might be interested in determining the scale of a problem which causes one of their best known products to fail to run quite so completely after a clean install
I also see that I misreported the OS I'm running - its Windows 8.
If there is further information I can provide which might be helpful in determining a solution, if someone could be specific about what would be helpful, then I will try to respond appropriately.
Perhaps the following from the event log:

The X230 has Intel HD 4000 graphics support built in to the processor. Windows was pretty stubborn about refusing driver updates, but I just managed to get drivers from the Intel site to install and Photoshop is now running, so hopefully I need not try your patience any further.
In case anyone else has a similar problem and stumbles on this the way to install the driver that worked was to:
- download the zip version of the generic driver from Intel
- use the 'have disk' option in the windows dialog to install the driver - other paths in the UI did not work with windows refusing to install the driver. -
I installed the trial version of Adobe Photoshop cc 2014 successfully but when I try opening it failes: what can i do?
Eli777 do you receive any specific error messages?

In LR5 i do: Merge to HDR Pro. After I apply my preset and PS attempts to convert HDR file, I get an error message from PS: "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working". Then PS Closes.
My source files are 5 NEF files of 28 MB. I select 16-bit, I also tried 8-bit. No difference. Same error message.
I have a Toshiba Quosmio X870 with Intel i7 3610QM @ 2,30 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Windows 7x64 HP SP 1, 7,3 Performance Index
Any suggestions? As the crash report says - your outdated video card driver is crashing. You need to update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website (AMD/ATI in this case).

I have tried everything on the forums, but every time i open Photoshop, Dreamweaver, flash, after effects all with CC paid membership closes right after opening them. I have read the forums searched in the internet, update and downgrade the drivers on graphic card, sign in and out the adobe creative cloud, The one thing i notices is that when i open Photoshop in the notifications on my windows, it appears in the notifications that i register my product on adobe with ID but i have entered my Id with billing information an all when i click to continue it goes sign in then back to the address??. And in my products shows i have membership cloud, don't know what to do anymore! I have even uninstall the program and clean everything with adobe cleaning tool. I don't Know what to do!!!
Have you found a solution, I am having same problem

Photoshop CC 2014 crashes when After Effects is open (ntdll.dll module failure)
Recently, I upgraded from CC to CC 2014. Once I was satisfied with 2014, I uninstalled CC. Since then, I've been having a major issue where if I try and use Photoshop CC 2014 and After Effects CC 2014 simultaneously, either Photoshop or both will crash.
The event viewer gives me this:
Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.2.2.310, time stamp: 0x5480338c
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521eaf24
Exception code: 0xc0000024
Fault offset: 0x00000000000cd7e8

Faulting application start time: 0x01d02c8024742b4a
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Photoshop.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Report Id: 6a2ab0d5-9873-11e4-91b7-14dae9d81d5a
Photoshop generally doesn't give me an error message, but when After Effects crashes, it's almost never the same error message twice, though frequently mentions Dynamic Link in the message.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud multiple times, including using the Cleaner tool. I'd really like to avoid having to wipe my hard drive and reinstall my OS, like support immediately told me to do.
Running Win7 64-bit Ultimate, 32GB RAM, Intel i5-2500k, NVIDIA GeForce 560 Ti. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I do not have After effects. Your CC 2014 seems to be up to date. Are all Windows Updates installed and did you install the Dec 23 2014 Nvidia driver?

When i open an app it opens but closes soon after can someone help me
can someone help me when i open an app on my iphone it opens but closes soon after
If this is happening with all of your apps, download any free app from the App Store. That usually fixes it. If it's just one app, delete the app and reinstall it.

Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working
When ever I launch Photoshop CC 2014 I get the message Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working and then the program closes. I happens about 5 seconds after I open the program. I just downloaded yesterday and have not been able to use it at all. Any Ideas?
Windows computer - all other Adobe CC products are working fineI'm having exactly the same issue. I have no idea how to check out the video card. I'm an artist and incredibly technically handicapped. This is happening on my Brand New Cintiq Companion with windows 8.1. Cant think anything could be out of date already? If someone could post a step by step process to resolving the issue for someone like myself who doesn't know where to start that would be greatly appreciated. I have read the whole thread but still feel nervous to proceed with any rearranging.
"Adobe support indicated that igdfcl64.dll from my Intel's graphics card was causing the issue. After updating the card and nothing changed I did some more research. Searched info about the driver and found out it needed to be copied to windows\sysWOW64 folder. "
I'd like to follow the above advice but if possible some more info would be appreciated. -
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Crash on start-up when run as non Admin
Hi All
Having an issue with Photoshop when run as a non administrator on domain PC's.
The program crashes as soon as it loads up with the following in the event log :
Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.1.0.148, time stamp: 0x53d97a8f
Faulting module name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.1.0.148, time stamp: 0x53d97a8f

Report Id: 1376e820-3a70-11e4-8f81-3417eba365e0
I don't beleive its hardware related as the same issue occurs on multiple types of hardware in multiple suites and will run fine with an administrator.
In our setup most users on the domain are non admin as well as students so its not really a poisibility to give all users of photoshop admin rights
Any help would be greatly appreciatedWe are seeing this issue as well, except Photoshop CC 2014 is trying to write into C:\Shortcuts, which is the location we redirect our desktops and start menus too.
So far the only work around has been to use group policy to deploy the log file to the location Photoshop is trying to write to and set permission so all users can write to it.
I've opened a support case with Adobe (Case number: 185963856 ) however their initial response is pathetic...."We may not consider this a bug" and they sent me the locations below which "need" read/write access, which is not true and not helpful!
