Adobe Photoshop CS6 Upgrade?
It seems I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I still have not heard anything about getting the upgrade and kept being told that I would receive an email. I've tried calling and chat, and am still being told to wait until I get an email. Any one have any ideas of how I can get this expidited?

Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order

Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
Join the Cloud -

Photoshop CS6 Upgrade Does Not Recognize CS3 Extended as Qualifying Product
I am unable to install my Photoshop CS6 upgrade because the upgrade does not recognize a qualifying product on my system. When asked, I enter my current Photoshop CS3 Extended serial number, but the upgrade does not recognize it as a valid serial number from a qualifying product. I have tried to do a clean install to make sure no other applications were running or in conflict. My operating system is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, Service Pack 3. Photoshop CS6 upgrade won't let me sign in. When it's getting ready to download, after I put in my seriel number it asks me to sign in however when I push the button I get a window that says "Adobe Application Manager has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." and makes me close the program.
Try to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

i have photoshop cs5 upgrade installed on a windows 7 pc. can i purchase photoshop cs6 upgrade from adobe and install it on a windows 8.1 windows pc.this is important because i do not want to purchase a new pc and then find i cannot purchase and install photoshop cs6 onto it.
Inasmuch as you are allowed to purchase a perpetual license for Photoshop CS6, there's no technical reason you can't install it on Windows 8. When an upgrade installation asks about the prior product, you need only give it the serial number of your Photoshop CS5 license.

Photoshop CS6 upgrade reinstall fail
On a Windows Vista service pack 2 machine.
I successfully installed Photoshop CS6 upgrade on my computer and it was up and running. Two days later I was hit with the FBI moeypack virus and had to do a system restore and then ran Mallwarebytes to get rid of it. The system restore point was just before I installed CS6 and after the restore, CS6 was gone. I tried to reinstall CS6 and now the installer fails. I ran Adobe Support Advisor and it shows no problems. I ran Adobe creative suite cleaner tool chosing CS6 and it didn't help. Photoshop CS5 is still on my computer and it still runs OK. I am at a loss as to what to try next.Photoshop CS6 in not compatible with Win Vista. How do I delete Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial from my MacMini?
How do I delete Adobe Photoshop CS6 Trial from my Mac Mini? I was upgrading to Adobe Photoshop CS6 not extended. So now I have Adobe Photoshop CS5, CS6, and CS6 extended. My computer is running very slowly. Are all these programs large? Can I delete all but the CS6 and how do I keep the photos I've done in CS5 in CS6 if I want to delete the CS5?
Your photos won't be affected by uninstalling anything. Neither Photoshop nor Bridge keep, import or store any image files. They are all wherever you installed them. (Unlike the crappy Apple iPhoto application, which hides your images from you inside the application package .)
Two very important caveats:
1.— Never drag any Adobe applications or their folders into the trash! Always use the Adobe Uninstaller installed by default with each application.
2.— The time to uninstall an older application is BEFORE installing newer versions of the application. The reason for that is that the Adobe Uninstaller can and in all likelihood will damage later version installs.
If you want to reclaim HD space, your best bet now is to uninstall all versions, including the most current one, then run the CSCleaner Tool, which you can search from and download for free from the Adobe downloads site, then Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility, then re-install the latest and most current versions. Finally, Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility once again.
Remember that Photoshop 14.x, which would have been "CS7", but now will be "CC", is scheduled to be released on June 17, less than two weeks from today, -

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Very Slow On Rendering Type
I have a notebook with specification as mentioned below :
Lenovo Ideapad Y470P
2nd generation Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor( 2.2GHz 1333MHz 6MB)

AMD Radeon HD 7690 2GB
8.0GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333 MHz
750GB 5400
I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit) for doing my job.
Right now, i have a task to create a banner with dimension 800 x 900 Centimeters with Resolution 300 DPI and Color Mode RGB 16 Bit.
The file size when blank is about 56.1 GB.
The problem is, when i add some text with Horizontal Type Tool and click on the Move Tool, the Rendering Type screen show up and take a very very long time to finished.
I have made some configurations to my Photoshop that i found on Adobe Forum, but the problem still persisted.
Some configurations that i've made is :
- Turn off the Automatically Save Recovery Information
- Set Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility to Ask
- Set the Memory Usage to 95%
- Set the Cache Levels to 8 and Cache Tile Size to 1024K
- Set the Graphics Advanced Settings to Drawing Mode Advanced, and Check the option Use Graphics Processor To Accelerate Computation, and Uncheck the option Anti-Alias and 30 Bit Display
- Set the Scratch Disk to another partition ( C:System D:PageFile E:Data F:Scratch Disk)
And after all of that configuration, my Photoshop still slow when Rendering Type.
Could you give me some tips to solve my problem?

Get specific instructions from the shop that is going to print it.
You keep confusing ppi with dpi. The resolution of an image file really is expressed in ppi, pixels per inch, not "dpi" which is dots per inch. The precise terminology is as follows:
DPI = Dots per inch = units used to measure the resolution of a printer
LPI = Lines per inch = The offset printing 'lines' or dots per inch in a halftone or line screen.
PPI = Pixels per inch = the number of pixels per inch in screen/scanner file terms.

"Presumably, for a banner 3m x 5m, you'd be standing at a minimum of, say, 10 feet. (Just eyeballing the wall here.) So, by this table, you'll need 50 LPI minimum. That would mean your raster graphics should be about 100 PPI, or 75 PPI at 12-14 feet. Considering that and the fact that 2x LPI is pretty conservative for reproducing fidelity (often 1.5xLPI is "enough"), this agrees with [the given] advice of 75 PPI being acceptable."
Talk to your printer. I suspect they will want a file at under 75 ppi, or even much less. Follow the printer's advice/request. -
