Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 - Do I need all of the cds?

Hi,
I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 + Adobe Premiere Elements 10. At the moment I have only installed the first CD. What is on the rest of the CDs. Do I really have to install all 5 CDs? I am only interested in Adobe Photoshop by the way.

Photoshop Elements will work fine from an installation on Disk 1 as it is a 32 bit program but Premiere Elements has 64 bit support (windows only) so ideally you should have started with disk 2 to get maximum performance benefit from the video editor.
Disk 4 contains the SD & HD content templates for making instant videos. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to install.
N.B. The content installation is optional. If you only want to use Premiere Elements to trim your own videos and add music, then you don’t need to use disk 4. If you only want PSE10 you’re complete.

Ya, okay ! I use a number of PSE programs, one of which is PSE 9. The tools for some reason seem to have frozen. When I use the move tool I don't get just one hand but 3 hand symbols all next to each other. Same thing with the crop tool, I don't get one symbol but 3 all next to each other. There are a couple of tools that just don't work at all. It's like the PSE 9 got hit with some virus or sorts. Oh well, live and learn. Trying to get through to tech service is next to impossible.

Have you seen this other thread you started about this problem?

I am not sure where John is coming from on his replies on this.
If you purchased Premiere Elements 12 from Adobe direct as an online download purchase, then you go to the adobe web site (http://www.adobe.com)
sign in, put "My Orders" in the Search field, and then follow the "My Orders" link to your program order where you should find an opportunity to download new files.
Alternatively, you can go to the following web site, download and install the Premiere Elements 12 tryout, and insert your purchased serial number into those files during installation.

You need to read and carry out carefully the Note: Very Important Instructions at that web site so that you do not run into Access Denied messages.

I'm not sure I would answer the question that was asked with "YES". In fact, exactly as asked, I would say the answer is "NO".
Photoshop Elements does not organize your photos. Rather, it provides you with a set of tools to use for organizing, and YOU organize the photos. You can choose to use these tools, or not. You could also use the PSE Editor, without ever performing a single organizing task in PSE.

Apologies for your incovinience.
Requesting you to please go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us. When you click on download button (after selecting your OS details), it should open a new browser window (which will launch the Akamai installer automatically). Please cancel any installation or error shown.
The newly opened browser page will look something like this:
As highlighted, please click on these links (one by one) and see if it downloads the required files. The downloaded files will be compressed with 7z format. If you have some extracting tool (like WinZip) try extracting it. If you don't have it, download 7z. Its a free utility from Microsoft. Once downloaded and installed, you will be able to extract file and locate the PSE setup.

Because you are running lion.. FCS 6 is a Power PC app and Lion doesn't support Power PC anymore.. So you can't install it.. Three options..
1. Revert back to Snow Leopard.
2. Purchase FCP X...
if you can't stand FCP X
3. Call apple directly, 1800-MYAPPLE and ask to purachse FCS 3 for $999... (its FCP 7)

Serial numbers are never on the box; They are normally inside the box for security reasons and they should be on the CD sleeve as shown in this picture:
Some big stores in the States normally insert a leaflet inside the box with a Redemption Code on it as shown in this picture:

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

I need help! Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 the app quits all the time!

HELP!
Every time I open up Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, and everything is all loaded up like the panel and everything, and then it just automatically stops. Like the program just quits itself, and a small window comes up saying that the program has quit after restarting. And there is Ignore, Cancel, Restart. I have no idea hwat is wrong with it! I have opened up and used it before SO many times!
