Adobe photoshop elements 8 and premier elements 8 will not load with security numbers.

purchase HP computer in 2011. hard drive crashed. replaced for free by HP.
but software never reloaded on computer.
computer now works and I cannot load adobe software that was never used.
Office did load with help of computer geek today.

Go into the program files (program files(x86) for a 64-bit system), find the Elements 8 folder and within that Plug-ins>ImportModules and delete the Adobe TWAIN plugin. (You may have trouble scanning directly into the editor after doing this)

Re - instating Photoshop Elements 7 and Premier Elements 7

I have had to replace my hard drive and have lost Photoshop Elements 7 and Premier Elements 7 how can I re instate them. I have contacted Adobe Technical Support but they said that they can only help with the latest version and I should ask on the Forum. Can anybody help the products are registered with Adobe?

You can download v7 from the links in the comments at http://prodesigntools.com/direct-download-links-for-lightroom-3-and-photoshop-elements-8.h tml/comment-page-1. You must follow the download instructions EXACTLY (for some strange reason many people think it is OK to ignore instructions 0, 1 & 2) or you will get access / authorisation errors.

Price of Upgrade to Photoshop Elements 13 and Premier Elements from both in version 10

Since the Adobe site is almost impossible to use in resolving problems, and any reference to Contact Us means Forums not Adobe themselves (fancy a Customer wanting to Contact the Company themselves - the cheek of it!) could anyone please advise what the cost would be to upgrade from Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 to their respective 13 versions. Thank you for your quick response. Unfortunately after clicking through this link (and then a further 7 or 8 more) I got to a page that quoted £100 for the two. I''m sure this is a discounted price for a new purchase, and whilst I understand you will always get the full product when upgrading from one version of Adobe to the next, I do not think it is acceptable to charge such a large amount when I have already paid full price for a not very old previous version. Have I clicked to the wrong page? Does anyone have a link for direct access to upgrade that is at a much more reasonable price? Whilst I know software developers do not try and compete with large high street retailers, I believe I can purchase both Adobe suites as a package from a well known one for much less than this! How to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop elements 10 and Premier Elements 10

I have purchased a copy of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 (bundled together 5 discs). I've installed on my Windows 7 laptop beginning with disc 1 and then it hung up and I couldn't eject. I was not prompted for any further discs. I then read that I should've began the install with Disc 2 as I am installing on a Windows 7 computer. I was wondering if I should uninstall what I have done so far and start over with a fresh install omitting disc 1 and beginning with Disc 2. Is this what I should be doing? I have not connected to the internet and "activated" the product yet. If I uninstall will I need to somehow remove the serial number and deactivate to preserve them for the re-install on the same computer. I don't want to lose one of my licenses as I wish to install these programmes on my desktop as well. Have read through many similar queries on these forums and have become pretty confused. Hope someone can help.

Thanks Jeff. I will install from disc 2 but presumably first i need to uninstall my first attempt (from Disc 1). However, will uninstalling the product use up one of the licenses as I would like to install on two computers and I don't want to use up both licenses on the same computer. I have read on this forum about the need to de-activate the program before uninstalling but some clarification on what "de-activating" actually does would be welcome. Could someone please confirm the steps I need to take to solve this problem. As I understand it I need to 1) de-activate the first incorrect install (from disc 1), 2) uninstall the product and 3) re-install using disc 2 and then disc 4. It seems discs 1, 3 & 5 are not needed for my install of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer.
Following these steps will use up one of my licenses (hopefully not both) and I can then install the programme on my desktop for my second license.

64-bit Photoshop Elements 12 and Premier Elements 12

I'm new here and I have not had good luck searching the FAQs so, here I am. I have a new laptop with Windows 8. I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premier Elements 12 and installed them. My OS is x64 but the install didn't give me a choice. Now I notice that they are 32-bit versions installed. Simple question...Do they come in 640bit? If so, how do I get it? 64 bit can access more RAM so it would definitely be better.

Thanx so much for pointing me in that direction. It definately says, " and in 64-bit or 32-bit mode on Windows 7 and Windows 8 & 8.1;" which means it should be able to run in 64- mode but I'm not sure how to make that happen. I work for a software company and our software has two different versions that are installed. So do you know if I have the wrong version or do they have some kind of switch that I missed setting on installation?

I just bought Photoshop elements 13 and premier elements 13 from John Lewis in Newcastle upon Tyne. I've tried to enter the serial number on the back of the software download card at least SIX times and the serial number will not be accepted. Can anyone help?

Problem solved. I was typing in a 'Zero' when in fact it was a Capital 'O'. A different typeface may have helped.

You can activate any two of them at a time, but if you want to use it on a third computer you will need to deactivate one of them before you can do so. To do that, go to Help>Sign Out.

The tutorial courses that got me going were on lynda.com. Both the PE and PrE courses are taught by instructors that know the software and how to teach on line.
The difference between random turtorials and a course is organization. A course has a beginning, or foundation and builds skills one at a time. Random tutorials like on Adobe TV or YouTube can be very good but they don't have the sequential skill building process.
Many of the Adobe TV tutorials are chapters provided by lynda.com as part of their marketing program. If you like them, you can pay the $25 a month for the full course work.

I downloaded (after purchasing) both Elements 13 and Premier Elements 13. When I ran the installer it prompted me whether I purchased or a trial. I chose purchase and then it asked me to sign in, which I did using prper credentials and the application just sat and spun around for 20 minutes doing nothing... reslt I could not install either product. I am having a problem with my element 9 and premier elements 9 so I tried the trial version of 11 and ran into the ame problem. I want to ypgrade to the 11 version, but want to deactivate my 9 versions.

Normally, to deactivate any Adobe product you just need to click the Deactivate option found under the Help option of the main menu bar at the top of the application window.
