I just bought your newest version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, I have an HP Touchsmart 610 computer and when I put in the cd, my computer does not start the programe ..... can you help me with some Ideas as to what I am doing wrong.

You should uninstall it and try again. The message means you can no longer use the software the way you can't use any program that isn't installed on your computer. It doesn't mean you can never install it again. In windows, use Control Panel, on a mac use the uninstaller in the PSE 11 folder in applications. Be sure to disable antivirus software during the reinstall.

I recently purchased Photoshop Elements11 CD. My laptop crashed so I bought a new laptop but it doesn't have a CD drive. Is there anywhere online I can go & give my serial # etc to download this product I already purchased?

if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

This thread has been confusing. With due respect, you are using the right terms in the wrong places.
"RAW" is a generic term for unprocessed photo from a camera. No camera that I know of makes files like "filename.raw". Each camera brand that shoots RAW photos has their own file name. I think for a Nikon it is "filename.nef". For my Sony, it is "filename.arw".
As cameras are introduced, Adobe get the file structure information from the camera manufacturer and weaves it into their products via Adobe Camera Raw or "ACR". Think of it as a translator that can make unprocessed camera data as viewable. ACR marches through version numbers as new cameras are produced. Adobe has tried to answer that by introducing a "generic" RAW format called "DNG" and free Adobe software called "Digital Negative Converter" that uses the same structure as ACR. The purpose is to convert any camera manufacturer's format to the generic format. In a perfect world that is only focused on the user, the entire world would adopt DNG like happened to .jpg. In other words, life would be easier if all cameras shot .dng files like they do .jpg.
If the Pentax KIIs shoots .dng files, I am impressed. I've not heard of any other brand doing that. Nikon, Canon, Sony and Panasonic have not gone there.

Just purchased new Nikon D200. RAW Images will not open in Photoshop CS2. Receive Adobe Photoshop CS2 error message "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Images taken with this camera will open in Nikon Capture 4.4 and then can be transferred to CS2 But attempting to open RAW images directly with CS2 is futile.
Images taken with Nikon D2h and Nikon D100 flow perfectly through CS2
Only images taken with Nikon D200 will not open in CS2.
Is this Nikon problem or an Adobe problem?

upon importing i had the option of selection importinf from a "PICT Resource..."
this was the only option that allowed me to select my JPG images (digital caerma images, btw)
when i select and clikc OK, a message that comes up that says "There are no PICT resources in this file"
moreover, when i convert the JPG images to PICT images (via preview) i get the same message
strange, since i've been able to copy and past my JPG files all along until now...

Adobe Photoshop CS2 has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Just starting to get this error on open in CS2 after a few months of smooth sailing on a new system (below). CS2 now cannot open. It started occasionally and increased. Tried reinstalling. Tried deleting the PS config files and same error. Any suggestions?

Just ran memtest and received no errors. This more or less clears the hardware. I have no idea how to proceed. Does adobe offer any direct support for this sort of problem?

on a Mac ProBook 2.4 Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB Memory, Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB, install halfway then I see the following information: The installation failed. The installer encountered an error That caused an the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. can you help me with this problem?

Error in VBA reference for Adobe Photoshop CS4 Object Library

Hello,
I'm using Windows 7 Pro, MS Office 2010 Pro and Creative Suite CS4 (with all updates).
I will automate Photoshop via Visual Basic for Applications in MS Access.
Befor using there the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Object Library I must reference it in VBA.
But when I will du this, I get the message "Error loading DLL".
When I will manually reference to the WIASupport.8LI File, I get the error: "Cannot reference this file"
Can you give a tip, how I can solve this problem?

I have the same problem! I have photoshop cc2014 (which we own) and the object library shows, but not for cs 5.1 (30 day trial).
Does registering unlock something?

Adobe Photoshop CS2 in Macbook Pro

During installation of Adobe Photoshop CS2, the installer runs and freezes in the midst. There is no way of installing Adobe Photoshop CS2 with intel processor. Full reinstallation of Mac OSX doesn't help. Running disk utility doesn't help either. Problems occurred with or without installing of Apple Security Update 2006-003(intel). Any comments?

Edwin, thanks for the input, and I do apologize. You are right. I should be easier with which to live. There are two major problems out there right now. That is also part of the problem. We are not used to two problems in our domain.
I own 20 Mac's in my office, and I only did these updates on my MacBook Pro 17 inch and my G5 Dual 2.3 Ghz machine that has two 30-inch Cinema Displays. I had both problems on my MacBook Pro, and the G5 had the reboot glitch. I won't update the other machines untill these problems are resolved by the OEMs.
Of the two major hiccups out there, this link indicates Quicktime's update is the source of the inability to restart machines, fixed by deleting startup items, I believe. I had this reboot problem also.

Accrobat's freezing the system, the question at hand, is a result of the Security Update, fixed by rolling back to a pre-Security Update state using Archive & Install re-installation of the OS. Archive & Install does not erase your files or network settings.
Apple has released two products that fouled these systems. Bad Quality Assurance I think. I am not sure if the Security Update problem is an Apple or an Adobe software problem, i.e., Adobe may have not followed some software guidance. I am certain both companies are aware of the problem, but I am uncertain of the fix for Acrobat. We probably do need to update for security, but I can't live without Acrobat. So I will wait it out without the Security Update.

No, only regular static GIF images are supported. The desktop version of Photoshop does support this however.

I haven't been able to download CS3 yet, but the Martin Evening pdf (thanks for the link!) has what looks like a piece of great news buried in it:
"For example, before you first had to create an empty new document with the exact pixel dimensions before you could place an image (such as a raw file) as a Smart Object. With Photoshop CS3, you can now place a raw capture file as a Smart Object layer in a single step."
If I understand this right, it means that the functionality of the old Dr Brown Place-a-Matic script is now available from Aperture. We can -- or this makes me hope we can -- send a RAW from Aperture to PSCS3 for editing, and then Place the same image, perhaps twice, as a Smart Object, edit away, and when we Save get the whole edited image back in Aperture without going through the Finder.
I used to use this (from Bridge) all the time to double-expose RAW shots: adjust the sky to one exposure and the ground to another, masking to get both into the final image, all without messing with the pixels of the RAW image. I've missed it. Whoopee.

I just find fixed issues where there is not shown my problem and I cannot find the way to write my question about my need of a code for Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.
