Adobe photoshop touch for iPad 1?

I'm a iPad 1 user and I really want to edit pictures on iPad I waited and I see the adobe photoshop touch app, it's for iPad 2 only

Photoshop Touch for the iPad specifically states - iPad 2 only.... so no Touch solution for you...
What sort of things are you trying to accomplish with your iPad 1 ?
If you are looking for basic adjustments, sharpening, cropping, etc., and some minor effects & frames then you could always give Photoshop Express a try... In other software you could do a lot worse than programs like Nik's Snapseed or Filterstorm Pro... I use both of these apps but PST is now offering me options that neither of them has - plus some continuity with OS native Photoshop itself...
None of those other programs offers you a "layers" option so if that is your need then I see a new iPad in your future....
Even if you could make it run PST I think your iPad 1's processor and ram would choke pretty hard as soon as you tried to stack a few layers...
Hope that helps - even though it's not the news you were looking for...

  • Do I need adobe CC subscription for using photoshop touch for ipad

Do I need adobe CC subscription for using photoshop touch for ipad?

No, Photoshop Touch is a different software and isn't part of Adobe's Creative Cloud (CC) series of software you can get with their monthly subscription.
Photoshop Touch is a mobile version of Photoshop you can get for just $9.99, and then you'll have it for life.
It's a great, must-have tool in my opinion, but it's very limited and won't give you all the things you would get with a regular Photoshop desktop-version, like the one you get when you subscribe to Creative Cloud.
    Best,

  • Can I open a CS6 Photoshop file in Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone?

I am trying to rountrip a ps file to/from Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone to/from CS6 Photoshop on a mac. Is it possible? It seems (so far) I can create a .psdx on the phone and edit on my desktop, but once editing in CS6 PS, I can't get that file back on the phone for editing. Any ideas... or is it a one way street from phone to desktop right now? thx!!!

    Hi there,
In general, the .psd format is fairly backwards compatible. To help get your files ready to be opened in CS3, follow this process:
    1) Go to Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling.
    2) In the menu, make sure Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility is set to always.
Just in case, you may also want to save your file as a .TIFF, which is a format that will also preserve your layers and is able to be opened in older versions.
Please let us know if you need any more information, and good luck with your project!

  • Adobe Photoshop Touch for tablet

Does Adobe Photoshop Touch for tablet support raw-files?

No, not at this time, sorry. (Be aware that even if it did, I wouldn't expect you'd get to work with many layers due to the hardware limitations of tablets. You can only work with 12 layers max as it is. Just a heads up.) JPEG, PNG, GIF, PSD, & PSDX are supported.

  • How do I design my posters on Photoshop touch for ipad, to be A0 and export them to creative cloud at the same size???

How do I design my posters on Photoshop touch for ipad, to be A0 and export them to creative cloud at the same size???
every time I do it it comes out at a fraction of the size and not even an A size...
    Please help

A0 is pretty big if you go at a high DPI for printing. It's about 10000 x 14000 pixels at 300 DPI.
PS Touch can handle about 12 Megapixel image imports (which is about 4000 x 3000 pixels). PS Touch, interestingly, can create 4096 x 4096 pixel projects from scratch.
Adding to that, PS Touch always exports at 72 DPI. Take note that this is probably due to tablet hardware. Tablet hardware is "getting there" but it still has a ways to go before it matches its desktop cousin.

Where do I find manuals for photoshop touch for ipad (not video tutorials)?

The best way to get quickly acquainted with PS Touch is to do the built-in tutorials. There was a "quick start guide" of sorts, but as far as I know, they haven't updated it to reflect the latest version as of yet.

  • Does Photoshop Touch for iPad save in .psd?

Does Photoshop Touch for iPad save in .psd?

Yes, it processes RAW files (via Creative Cloud) and saves a .psdx to the Gallery, which again can be shared as jpg, png, psd or psdx.

  • Adobe Photoshop Touch for HTC EVO View 4G ?

Hello, I was really excited to use the Adobe Photoshop Touch App for my Android Device. I purchased the HTC EVO View 4G for Sprint and I tried to find the App but I does not seem to be compatible with my device! This is a HUGE disappointment :(. I believe it is not compatible because #1 the screen resolution is 1024 x 600 and #2 a screen size of 7". I chose this device because it has the best specifications in its portable size, not to mention the pressure sensitive stylus . Please don't leave this category out! I need this app hahah, but seriously.
Will Adobe ever make the Adobe Photoshop Touch App available for the HTC EVO View 4G?

    Hi AFlo00,
Sorry to hear it doesn't work with your device. We've had others say something similiar, my advice would be add your vote (and any comments if needed) here.

  • Photoshop Touch for iPad

I just downloaded Photoshop Touch to my iPad; where can I get a manual?

In addition to a PDF manual I have found the Photoshop Touch tutorials on Adobe TV extremely helpful. Here are the links for the manual and video tutorials:

Try the firestorm app, it's free. It more powerful than the Adobe Photoshop Ex. app. The one thing I like about it, it allows you to add text captions to a photo. The editing tools are awesome... Check out their video tutorial.

  • Photoshop Touch for iPad v2.50 strips exif data

I would like ALL original Exif data preserved.  This is very important to me.  Is this a bug, a planned fix, or have I neglected to set something?

Like Melanie, I will stop using Photoshop Touch as well.  It even strips the exif when you save it to the creative cloud.
I travel a lot and it makes no sense that my GPS and camera data is stripped, especially when I also process NEF's on the iPad as well.  I will use other apps to do my work.  Money wasted.

  • Photoshop touch for iPad is too slow

Please  fix bugs issues and lagging  do an update or something

How PS Touch runs is all dependent on the hardware. For example, PS Touch ran somewhat well on my Motorola Xoom but runs much zippier on my Nexus 7 2013.
Bugs and similar issues are another story, of course.
