Adobe Plug-Ins not loading

Hello,
I'm having a problem with my computers loading all of the default Adobe Plug-Ins such as "Comments".  I've used Adobe customization wizard 8.0 to package Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1.2 and deploy it through Windows 2003 Group Policy.  All of the computers have a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.0 loaded on them.  I've ran "Repair Acrobat Installation" and validated that the api files are in the plugin directory.  The only domain change made was a group policy adm template file was created to disable "Java Script" in the Acrobat program because of malware.  This applies to the users when they login and is located at "HKEY_Current_USER Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\JSPrefs".  The weird thing is I've been able to deploy this package to some of my test machines and virtual machines and everything installs fine.  The test machines are located in the same containers has my production machines.  Any idea what could be causing this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I reported this wrong.  I updated the package from 8.2 to 8.2.1 and then redeployed it.  Do you think I should try rebuilding the packages starting from the first update to the last?

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X - plug-ins not loaded

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro for our company with multiple user licences.  Once installed I noticed a lot of features which were in previous versions are not available.  When I select the “Help” “About Adobe Plug-ins...” tab, almost all of the plug-ins are not loaded. Is this right and if not, how do I fix it. After reading numerous blogs I still do not have an answer – most refer to 3rd party plug-ins but not to this problem. NB: I am not an IT expert, but can help myself fairly well on software. Using Windows 7. Uninstalled Google Chrome as someone suggested it affects the plug-ins (which also did not solve the problem!)

    It's working correctly.
The Help > About Adobe Plug-ins dialog shows the status of dynamic extensions which ship with Acrobat - not third-party plugins you may have installed yourself. These core extensions are loaded on demand, so if you don't have a document open, very few of them will be loaded. It's why the dialog bothers to tell you their status in the first place.
Third-party plugins need to be reinstalled if you upgrade to Acrobat X, as the installation folder is different. Some that were written for previous versions won't work with Acrobat X, especially if they're not designed to cope with the Tools Pane or Protected View in 10.1, but they will not appear on that dialog - they appear on the next menu item down, "About Third-Party Plug-ins".
The UI in Acrobat X is radically different from previous versions, but very few features are actually missing - what are you looking for that you can't find?

  • CS6 InDesign plug-ins not loading when launching

I just purchased CS6 Standard. when launching InDesign, the adobe plug-ins are not loading causing error messages. I have re-installed twice, but get the  same error messages. At the end of several error messages, I get
'Cannot open resourse file." Can anyone help me?

I'm a little confused with what you write. There is a difference between extensions and Plug-ins.  Plug-ins are installed using the plug-ins installer and extensions are installed by "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" where version is the Photoshop version and the extension package must be created for that particular Photoshop version.  A CS5 package will not work in CS6 etc.   Installed extensions will be listed in Photoshop under menu Windows>Extensions>List of them.  Plug-in may install in the Filters menu or a place like menu File>Automate>Names.  Installed Extensions that you installed should also show in the  "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window. Adobe installed extensions like Kuler and Mini Bridge do not show in the "Adobe Extension Manager (version)" window.

  • VST plug-ins not loaded at all Snow Leopard 10.6

    Hi
I am using abelton live, and install waves 7 (does support snow leopard 10.6), and I don't see any recognition whatsoever for VST in premiere cs5
if I go inside the package of the application , i can see the plug-ins folder, but where is the "user" plug-ins folder.
on a Mac the folder is in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
this is not the location where premiere is looking to load the VST, in the splash screen you don't see it loading Waves plug-ins for example.
does anyone know why / how to truely enable VST on CS5 Mac?
    thanks
    Ami

    Arri,
Usually, PrPro will survey most of the system, and load all VST's found. However, three things can happen:
1.) the VST is loaded and can be used by PrPro (not sure if this is the case with your particular VST)
2.) the VST is loaded, but PrPro cannot use it. There is most often a one-time message to this effect. The VST will NOT appear anywhere in PrPro.
3.) PrPro attempts to load the VST, but cannot. At this point, in later versions, a blacklist file is written, and each such VST will be added, when one launches. The launch will fail, until all such VST's are "blacklisted." When that blacklist has been completed, PrPro will launch fine, ignoring each of those problem VST's.
Just not sure about your particular VST. Does it say that it will work in PrPro? Not all will.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - seems that there are a couple of threads on Wave7.dll, but do not recall the specifics. I'd suggest a Search of this, and maybe the CS4 and Earlier fora, and some reading.

  • Plug ins not loading

I reinstalled elements 11 to a new drive and dragged the entire old plug ins folder to the new drive plugins folder, but no plugins are showing up in the editor.

Well, you probably made a mess. Many third-party plug-ins use external libraries and need to be installed properly just like the main program. In any case, we cannot know. You are not providing enough information.

  • Plug-ins not loaded?

    Hi,
I'm a CC 2014 user on my Mac. But, we have a PC here in our department that has an old copy of CS4 InDesign on it. It doesn't really need anything newer than that, for the work that's done with it.
This PC just got a new hard drive. The old one crashed. So, actually, this new one is a solid state drive. So, it's nice and fast.
I've installed InDesign CS4 now twice. Whenever we open an ID document or template, we get a message saying that it can't open the file because plug-ins are missing. What can I do here?
    Thanks.

You’re trying to open files created in a later version of InDesgin.

  • Space Designer Plug-ins Not Loading

Hi, whenever I try to select a Space Designer plug-in with Logic Pro 8, I get a pop up which says 'no audio file selected' and asks me to 'please locate the file'. I've checked the Logic folder within the Application Support folder of the Library, and all the .pst files are there in the Plug-In Settings folder, but when I navigate to them from the pop up they are greyed out, making it impossible to select them manually anyway. All the other Plug-Ins (Compressor, Reverb, etc) seem to work fine. The problem only appears to exist with Space Designer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Phil

Hi, and thanks for the reply. I couldn't find the Impulse Response folder you mentioned, but just for information, the pop up prompts me to locate the file (for example) '01.4s Jazz Vocal Room.SDIR', and in the bottom pane of the pop up it says 'No Audio FIle Selected', probably because I haven't located and selected the file it's looking for.
    Thanks again

  • Certain add ons/plug ins not loading. For example, in eBay, mouse over certain items and only blank dialog box pops up, no text within box. What could be causing this?

Appears to be flash or Acrobat issue???

Probably caused by the Google Toolbar extension. Disable it to verify it as the cause.

  • Adobe plug-ins will not install?

Adobe plug-ins will not install.  I have installed the most current reader and flash player.

I get redirected to the download page to install flash player and reader.  I then go to the section flash player installs for IT.  Click on the following url http://www.adobe.com/products/players/flash-player-distribution.html   Nothing happens.  Does Adobe flash player include active x plugins?

  • Can I add my plugin to the "About Adobe Plug-Ins" dialog box?

    Hello,
I have created my own Adobe plug-in (.api file), placed it in the plug-ins folder and it's loading and working as expected :-)
However, when I launch Acrobat and navigate to Help > ''About Adobe Plug-Ins", my plug-in is not listed.
Is it possible to have my plug-in listed in the 'About Adobe Plug-Ins' dialog box? Or is this reserved for Adobe certified plug-ins only?
    Thanks!

    Excellent - good work!
You would be listed in the "About 3rd party plugins" section IF you added an about item from your plugin.

  • Migrating PS CS3 to Intel with OS 10.5.6 Plug-ins Not Available

After migrating CS3 to MacBook Pro, 10.5.6, a list of unavailable plug-ins comes up. All except two were PS plug-ins, NOT aftermarket. Sure enough, they don't show up in the filters menu. I don't know where else they are missing. (migrated from Powerbook 10.4.11)
    What is to be done?
    CS3, OS 10.5.6/ MB Pro 2GB ram, 2.4 Ghz

Migrating is never a great idea, but migrating an application originally installed under Tiger on a PowerPC machine to a Mac-Intel box running Leopard goes beyond being a monumentally bad, horrendous idea. It's sheer lunacy!
You need to wipe out that drive, or at least use the Adobe Uninstaller (installed by CS3 in Applications/Utilities/Adobe/ on your old machine), look for, download and run the CS3Clean script, and then install the application from the original media.
Also, realize that any plug-ins that were not written in Universal Binary will NOT run under CS3 on the Mac-Intel machine,
unless you run CS3 under Rosetta software emulation with a corresponding
    massive performance hit.
    Never, ever try
    "migrating" again. :(

  • 3rd Party Plug-ins not Found by Logic 9.1.7

I recently purchased two high quality plug-ins that are designed for Logic... they are both AU; one is the Eventide Blackhole reverb and the other Antares Mutator.  I have a ton of other plug-ins that loaded perfectly in the past and are still present.  BUT, for some reason, both of these installed successfully but Logic (running in 64-bit mode) skips right past the fact that they are in the Library/Audio/Plug-ins directory.
I am in the middle of doing remixes for a large band and really want to use these.  Can anyone help???
    Thanks,
    Raven Lynch

Set Logic to open in 32-bit mode, then open a default empty project (not one you're working on) Logic should validate the plugins... after it's finished, close Logic, re-set to 64-bit mode and you should be ok.

  • PasswordServer Plug-in not loading

I've got an issue with a few machines and Open Directory. When the machines start up, they will not automatically show the OD Users list. They just show local accounts. We end having to put the machine to sleep and awaking it (sometimes several times) for the list to show up. I have logged into a local account to see what the problem is and it appears to be the PasswordServer Plug-in not loading. The console log below shows what happened when I did this. After I logged out of the local account, the list immediately showed up. The log shows that the PasswordServer Plug-in loaded at that point.
Is there any way of forcing the plug-in to load instead of it loading lazily? Or am I missing the real problem here?
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Cameron

I have resolved the issue by entering the LDAP Server directly instead of using LDAP from DHCP.
Guess I need to check the DHCP Server Settings... although I'm not sure then why most machines are working fine. The ones that weren't working are older G4 Powermacs (the oldest machines we have on the network)... if that has any bearing.
    Just glad it's working.
