Adobe plugin for Outlook in 2013 unable to configure to load at startup

Windows 7 Pro, Office 2013 Home and Business
I don't see a registry key for the plugin, there's no properties in Outlook for the plugin
Manually loads properly and functions properly, however unable to configure it to load when Outlook starts.
Any ideas?

Hi jeremyh77032804,
Please open Outlook and go to 'Tools > Options > Add-Ins' and select 'COM Add-ins' option under Manage label and click Go.
From the new dialog box that appears, select Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin and click OK.
Also, please confirm the location of PDFMaker add-in is under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Mail\Outlook"
Do you have the administrative privileges to this location specified above?
Please let me know.
Regards,
Anubha

  • Is there an ADOBE plugin for MS Project 2010 to create Dynamic PDF files?

I wonder if there exist any ADOBE plugin for MS Project 2010 to create Dynamic PDF files?

We are not going to use form fields. An employee is going to create large projects in MS Project 2010 and want to share his projects with other employees. So the need is just a viewer. So I guess we need to check out all the third part MS Project Viewers which is out there. Thanks for your answers guys!

  • IronPort PlugIn for Outlook .enc files?

We have started to roll out the IronPort plugin for Outlook for both Encryption and SPAM reporting.  On the SPAM reporting side I do see the e-mails that are getting reported but the e-mails are formatted differently.   I am guessing that the original e-mail being reported is now in the .enc attachment?  Is there any way that I can view these so that I can see what kind of e-mail is being reported by my users?  In the past I would check in on this from time to time and see if there were any mass e-mails that were getting through that I needed to create a custom filter for, now with these .enc files I'm not sure I can do that anymore.
I'll post one of the .enc files here in a bit.
    Jason

So I can confirm that the new 7.4 Outlook plugin, feature does work to submit spam/phish/virus as plaintext. Basically you just need to set (ignore the attachment name option):
    <report>
            <format>plain</format>
            <subject>Cisco Email Security Plug-in Report (${reportType})</subject>
     </report>
Also for those upgrading to 7.4, be sure to manually upgrade yourself first, and set all your configurations using the BCE_config file first. Then follow the admin document for deploying the config file mass. The 7.3 and older config files will not work with the new plugin.
This configuration is only recommended if you will be checking report submissions or using some form of Phishing education solution and want to exclude these e-mails from actual submission. Here is a good outline how I implemented it. If anyone is interested I can probably do a quick video demonstration while it's all fresh in my mind and post it here.
    1. Create one or more Quarantines (either on your central SMA or individual ESA/Ironport):
        Example: Reported_TestPhish (delete after a period of time), Reported_Spam, Reported_Phish, Reported_Virus, Reported_Ham, Microsoft_Junk
    2. create a Outgoing Mail filter that matches a header in your Test Emails so you can capturing them.
Example Match Content in Attachment: X-TEST(replace with your header) and if you use the Microsoft Report Junk Plugin, you should also use the condition to match the same text inside the mail body. Then point the action to Quarantine to your Report_TestPhish where after a period of time it will be deleted. I choose to use Quarantines rather then sending e-mails via notifications, but you could do this as well, for example if your Email Education provider can use the e-mail to track which employees reported the test e-mails for you.
    3. Create individual Outgoing filters using the recipient email address to dump it into the right Quarantine. This will allow you to to not only Quarantine and view the messages, but also will add to your reporting. You can choose to use fewer Quarantines and filters to bundle together to fit your requirements.
    4. Rather then adding these filters to your default policy, I suggest creating a new Outgoing Mail Policy called Report_Email (using the recipient email addresses). I then disable some of the policies such as DLP, A/V, and so on as needed and only apply the new filters we just created.
Hope this was useful for someone out there.

  • Spotlight Plugin for Outlook 2011 available?

    Hello,
does anyone know if there is a Spotlight Plugin for Outlook 2011? Now I can't preview the messages if they come up in a search. Google, the Apple and the Microsoft website do not seem to contain any information on this.
    Kind Regards,
    Edwin

This plug-in is fine, but it works only if Outlook is running.
I have both Mac Mail and Outllook 2011 installed on my MacBook and I was going crazy because Spotlight shows by default the Outllook mails in the result list - and they can't be properly previewed.
To disable Outllook mails in Spotlight results, just add the "Microsoft User Data" folder (which lies in your Documents folder) to Spotlight's "Privacy" section.
Spotlight will now show mails as Mac Mail in the result list an you'll be able to preview them.
Of course your Exchange account(s) need to be proprerly set up in Mac Mail.
    Hope that helps.

  • Voicemail plugin for outlook

    Hello:
Any info about developing a voicemail plugin for outlook using JMF? Or any such stuff already available?
I have to provide my users a voicemail recording/sending option in their outlook clients. Similarly they should be able to listen to received voicemails using a control or something like that in their outlook interface.
On the other hand, I also need to provide to my users coming through my webmail interface with this option of sending/listening voicemails.
Please suggest how can JMF be useful to develop/integrate these features.
    Thanks

  • Need some help understanding plugin for Outlook

Testing out the 7.3 plugin for Outlook. I am not clear on how the flagging of spam/not spam etc. works. We have local IronPort devices. We are not cloud based. When a user flags a message as spam in the Inbox, the Admin Guide says Cisco updates the anti-spam filters so the user will not receive emails like this in the future. Not clear how this works. I understand the email is getting submitted to Cisco for analysis but how do they update spam filters for just that one user? I can understand if we were using a cloud device but as I said we have local hardware. Need to understand this process and the Admin Guide falls short of explaining it.

Reporting spam/phish from Outlook via the plug-in only does that.  It is packaging up the message and sending the message example off to our @access.ironport.com address for submission from that end-user.  The plug-in itself is not actually doing any work to update the anti-spam on your appliance.  These submissions are a work by themselves that is submitted and then reviewed from the rules writing process.  In time, these submissions are scored, updated, and then written into the current IPAS (IronPort Anti-Spam) rules sets that are published back out to the ESA(s) themselves.  So - as long as your ESA is set to get updates (by default, each 5 minutes), then you will get the updated rules --- and these rules are for everyone globally.
Hope that helps!  If not - let me know.

  • Adobe plugin For Mouse Click Event Handler

Hi All, How to write plugin For Mouse Click Event Handler? Please reply quickly..
    Thanks in Advance

AS has already been replied to you on the other threads.
THE ACROBAT SDK has all the information you need to implement your solution. If you investigate the SDK and find a specific part of implementing your solution that is causing a problem. Then post that specific problem on the forum so that Leonard/PDL/ Aandi/Everyone else, can help you with specific problems.
This question is too open ended for it to be easily answered with out doing a lot of work.
    Please download the SDK.
    Investigate the Documentation/Samples.
Start developing your plug-in. ( I would recommend the Acrobat-plug-in wizard)
And if you hit a specific problem we will be happy to try and help.
Please note MULTIPLE POSTS just annoy.

  • Adobe Reader for iPad mini IOS 8.0 will not load???

Loaded, deleted, multiple times.  Restarted iPad multiple times.  Will not load.  Opens with blank screen, stays blank forever.

Here are a couple of things that you could try.
If you have iCloud backup before the iOS 8.0.2, you can restore the content of your iPad. See iCloud - Backup - Apple Support
You can completely uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader for iOS.  Before you uninstall Reader, please be sure to make the backup of your PDF documents on your iPad.  How to backup and restore PDF documents on your iPad/iPhone using iTunes
As a last resort,  you could completely reset your iPad to factory settings.  Go to Settings > General > Reset, and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  Please note that you will lose all of your application data (including preferences) stored on your iPad if you do this.  But you can download and install all of your free & paid apps again.
If none of the above works, it could be a hardware problem with your iPad.  You may want to visit the Genius Bar at your nearby Apple Store.

  • Acrobat XI plugin for Outlook 2013 crashes constantly; has to be re-enabled

I have a user that has Windows 7 (32 bit)  and Oultook 2013 (also 32 bit).  The export to PDF plugin did not work with Acrobat X so we upgraded to Acrobat XI, however this plugin crashes and "disappears" quite often, requiring the user to open the settings and re-enabling the plugin.  This will also occasionally cause Outlook to crash.  Any suggestions on how to resolve this or at least further troubleshoot?

There is a known problem with Acrobat and the Outlook plug-in for PDF export, both with 32-bit and 64-bit Office. Simply stated, as you convert more e-mails, especially HTML-based e-mails laden with images, a memory leak causes Acrobat to run out of memory.
If you are experiencing this particular problem, the “fix” is to monitor (via the Windows Task Manager), a process with a name beginning with HTML2PDFWrap. If its “Memory (Private Working Set) begins to approach 1,500,000 K in size, at any time in which you are not doing a conversion of one or more Outlook messages to PDF, right click on that process in the Windows Task Manager and select “End Process.” The next time you need to convert an Outlook message to PDF, Acrobat will automatically restart that process.
(Note that a bug has been filed with Acrobat Engineering and we are awaiting a fix to the particular issue described above.)

  • Parsing the Trace file in CRM for Outlook -- CRM 2013 On-Premise

I'm trying to troubleshoot a really strange issue with Set Regarding. In order to get some background info ahead of time, I found the article for enabling tracing

    it looks bad.

  • Configuring Cisco/IronPort plugin for Outlook with CRES

With the discontinuation of the IronPort IEA appliances we are getting ready to move from our on-premise IEA appliances to CRES.  I have a demo key for Encryption that I am running on my C660s and I have an Outlook client configured with the Email Security Plug-In version 7.2.0.39.  Currently the Outlook Plug in is configured to point to our on premise IEA appliances for the Server URL attribute in Desktop Encryption Options and is working great.
My question is, what do I use to connect it to CRES for desktop encryption?
The Admin guide "Cisco IronPort Email Security Plug-in 7.2 Administrator Guide" page 4-46 just says "Server URL Enter the URL for your  Encryption server."
    Thanks

    Hi Jason,
Thanks for your question.  The short answer is https://res.cisco.com:443 HOWEVER please note the following two points.  First, you will need a CRES account, so that you can download a token to use with the plugin, to authenticate to CRES; you cannot use the default token which you have probably been using with your IEA.  Second, using the current Outlook plug-in version 7.2 with CRES is not supported; it works, but it is not supported.  There are plans to release a supported version.

  • Archiving options for Outlook 2010/2013 Home and Business?

    Hi all,
Forgive me if this is covered already (I am sure it would be somewhere but I could not find a definitive answer).  We are looking at migrating from Google Apps to Exchange and I am trying to cost it all up and have a question in relation to archiving.
Our 450 users are not akin to archiving, given their gmail limits, they are just used to keeping everything, however with exchange that will have to change as we are going to host it locally.
The question I have is what archiving options are available to me given that all our office installations are Home and Business 2010/2013?  I have read the compatibility matrix which says outlook in this product does not support in-place archiving.
To test this I created an in-place archive for my account (outlook 2010 H&B) and when I re-open outlook I get my archive mailbox showing up.
I have not yet tested the mailbox retention policies and such like but I thought I would just ask as to what options would be available to me given this situation?
Given that my archive is now showing in outlook, what has caused that to happen? I would have thought that if it was not supported that it would not have shown up at all?  Can someone explain what functionality will not work and what will?
If we have to buy new copies of outlook for all our clients it just adds to the cost that I suspect will kill the move and management will say that we can stay on gmail.
Thanks for any direction you may have.

I understand that it is not supported, I was just commenting that It appeared to work in the tests that I had done and I was curious as to why
Aaron would you mind to share your findings on this if any! We are in the same situation as you were.
I have activated Online Archiving (on-premises) feature for 3 accounts on our Exchange 2010 and set them up with Retention Policy which Move to archive items aged more than 6 months and all works fine and old Items automatically being moved to Online Archive
mailbox which just appeared after enabling this on server for above 3 accounts.
The server is Exchange 2010 and clients are Outlook H&B 2013 which comes with DELL systems.
We already purchased Enterprise Licenses as well and have access to Microsoft Download pages to get Outlook 2013.
But since above is working just fine, we really would like to know, if we don't install Outlook 2013 and activate it with that license what in fact we are missing in terms of functionalities regarding Online Archiving!
Really looking forward to hear back from you or anybody who can clear the confusion.
    Thanks for assistance!

  • SCCM Installation Ironport Plugin for Outlook - CustomConfig files

I'm attempting to install the Ironport Plugin via SCCM.  Our client is version 7.2.0.039.  Pretty standard executable install, however, I need to use the UseCustomConfigs switch to set configurations in the client when it reaches our 2500 machines.  My issue is with the syntax of the UseCustomConfigs switch.  I am running the CiscoEmailSecurity-7-2-0-039.exe from a local folder on our SCCM server, not via UNC.  I have the executable, the setup.iss, and the 2 config files that I need in that working directory.  Below is the syntax I've tried.  SCCM attempts to retry the install, but of course it fails......
    CiscoEmailSecurity-7-2-0-039.exe /s /v"UseCustomConfigs=" /qn /f1 "setup.iss"
I guess my hangup is what do I put after the "=" if I'm running it from the directory that the executable is running from.....

Yes and no.....I did get the install to roll out via SCCM.  It does install, but it fails more than half of the time.  I'm then forced to use the Right Click Toolkit to rerun the advertisement on the machines that it "failed" on, and then it installs.  I always end up with error code -3.  In some cases it has failed because the user had Outlook open, but in other cases, it fails and I've got no real clue as to why......

  • IronPort SPAM plugin for Outlook 2003-2007

We are looking at rolling this out and just wondering if anyone can tell me how this plug-in works. We have a content filter that copies any mail to [email protected] to a mailbox that we look at to evaluate the amount of SPAM that our staff is reporting. Looks like when we use the plugin to report SPAM the content filter is not working. Any advice?

The spam plugin sends the email directly to https://ipas-complaints.ironport.com so you won't see it as an email going through the normal process.
