Adobe Premere Elements 10 - Setup. The setup has detected that dynamiclinkmanager (dynamiclinkmanager.exe) is currently in use. Please all running exe(s). I don't have anythig else running. I restarted my computer and I still get this error. How do I fix it.? Dick

Photoshop Elements 9 - Setup Error

If anyone could assist me, it would be greatly appreciated. I am attempting to reinstall my Photoshop Elements 9 software that came with my Bamboo Create Pen and Touch drawing tablet. I have already contacted customer support in a chat session and they recommended I post my problem here instead since it is an older software and their support is apparently only for newer versions.
Around the end of the setup installation process, I receive an error message. Under "Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 - Setup" it says, "Error 1406. Could not write value to key \SOFTWARE. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
This is not an illegal copy of the program. It was purchased legally and I have the sleeve that the disk comes in with the serial number on it. When the message appeared, there were 3 options for me to choose: "Abort", "Retry", and "Ignore". I chose the "Ignore" button, but I don't know if that was the correct choice or not. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

There is a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1. To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

Slow motion Adobe Premere Elements

I am new
at this, and am not good with computers. After asking for a user friendly video editing program, the guy in the store handed me this Adobe Premere Elements program. I don't understand much of the lingo in this forum, and the tutorials are mumbo jumbo to me. Let's say that I am very challanged here.
I am able to make a simple video and add music, this I'm happy with. Now I want to add a short scene to a new video,and make that scene be in slow motion . I found the time stretch button to click on (it looks like a clock), but can't seem to get it to do anything. I drag the scene that I want to stretch, but it does not stretch.

I cannot reinstall Adobe photoshop Elements 6 (CD) in my system OS Windows 7. The setup displays the following message;
error 1402 Could not open key UNKNOW\component\DA42BC*************************\*************834F
verify that you have suficient acces to that key, or contact you support personnel.

Adobe Premire Elements 7.0 Error

I haven't had many problems with Adobe Premire Elements 7.0, but now, after three days of work on a project that has actually turned out really well, it has turned against me. I can't export the video as a video file. I click File>Export>Movie and have enough memory for it. When I click save, it starts to export. It goes well for a while, saying it will only take ten minuites or so.But then it starts to slow down, and eventually reads that it will take an hour. >.<" So I wait patiently until eventually an error pops up after my hoes get higher when it starts to load faster. The error always pops up around when it's 10% complete. It says, "Error. Unknown error occured when compiling the video" or something. Ever since I got it, using the 'Share' tab has only resulted in the closing of the program, so I can't try that.Please help! I'm running it on a Windows XP.

Tell us all about your I/O sub-system, especially your hard drive (HDD) setup. Do list the free defragmented space on each HDD.
This sounds like a disk space problem. Trust me, you need far, far more free, defragmented HDD space, that it would seem to be required.

Which reports an error in a Windows environment ? and advices we ignore this error. However the installation does not go any further.. it quits and does not ask for the other disks to be installed.
Its been several times I have already tried to install and in between every install a restart of my mac pro

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 - Setup

I have been trying to get past an installation error I am getting trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. I have tried to redownload and install multiple times. I tried going to the registry and and editing permissions, but not sure if it applied correctly.
I am getting Error 1402. Could not open key:
UNKNOWN/Components/13FD83440E8F2304284FD0F33E956FEF\9FA945EEAAF84854382BC1FCBD91CFF. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

There have been made some changes in your registry setting that have caused permisson denied on registry. So can you try by login as Administrator and try to reinstall.
If this doesn't work go through this link . This is a generic help , "Beware changing in registry can cause application level or other system level issue".

Help uninstalling Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 Error 1402.???

have my movie done ready to burn dvd
have had premiere elements 1.0 for 4 years
on my dell E1705 windows xp media edition 2005
computer has recently had some problem... freezes up
that was triggered in the DVD burning process
so i uninstalled and then reinstalled premiere 1.0 from the original discs
and when i went to open the program would get
a message that the registration is invalid and to uninstall the program
so when i went to uninstall the program it runs through the process
and when it gets to the part where it starts to remove registry values
i get a message window pop up that says:
Error 1402. Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\...\DefaultPreset.
Verify you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel...
Adobe doesnt support this software anymore
as i was told by their tech people
so i downloaded a free trial version of adobe premiere elements 8.0
and it crashes when i try to open it
ive been told by adobe tech that this is because
i need to uninstall APE 1.0
duh!!!
can you say catch 22
any body got a clue ?

One thing that can be done to clean Registry values is to run a Registry cleaner, like CCleaner. I would strongly suggest that you first manually create a System Restore Point, and then take advantage of CCleaner's offer to create a Registry backup, just in case. Run it several times to clean out all vestiges of PrE 1.0.
Also, getting back to the problems with PrE 1.0 and burning, please list the full specs. on your system. It is likely that what caused the burns to fail in the earlier version will still be there, and cause problems with PrE 8 too. Pay special attention to your I/O sub-system, i.e. your HDD's, their size, speed, amount of defragmented free space, controller type and how they are allocated.

PS - are you running as Administrator? You should be.
Also, when you go to install, make sure that all AV, pop-up blocking and spysweeping software is turned OFF, along with all Windows firewalls, etc.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 setup wont open

Hi, i just got a new bamboo tablet for xmas and tried downloading the Attached Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 that you get with it. However after sitting around for ten or so minutes to wait for the installer to download, it won't open!? Can anyone help?

I just got my computer in August, £1600 of good tech. Runs on Windows 7 but I dont think itll be a problem with my hardware, or was that not what you were asking? :s lol

Adobe premere elements 11 don't minamize I get cascading window

I have photoshop 11 and it works fine just in premire elements it seems to be a display issie I just doesn;t refresh very well I do have 4gb of ram and it is a current computer about 2 years or so. I program works fine but very hard to use when you can't move the window

The Windows Vista 32 bit could definitely be part of the problem. Premiere Elements 11 is a 64 bit application when it is run on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit and consequently can take advantage of the 64 bit system resources. With your Windows Vista 32 bit, Premiere Elements 11 is a 32 bit application in a 32 bit system with all the limitations of the 32 bit system, for example, maximum supported installed RAM = 4 GB of which typically 3 GB or less of that are available. How much available RAM and free hard drive space does that Windows Vista 32 bit have?
Another thought, do you have any High Contrast Windows Theme for your Windows Vista 32 bit?
How about us deleting the BadDrivers.txt file. I am not sure where is it going to be in Vista 32 bit, a Windows 7 type location or the 32 bit type location. Wherever it is, make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path.

Adobe Premier Elements 9 setup problem

Hello.
I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 15R special edition laptop, and was provided with a copy of Adobe Premier Elements 9. However, whenever I attempt to use PRE, it asks me to select my country/region.
Normally, this would not be an issue, but the country/region selector drop down menu is completely blank and does not change when I click on it.
Is there a way I could fix this problem?

Interesting - I had a similar issue with Elements 10. I was told by Adobe Support to:
Uninstall Elements 10.
Change the date on my Mac to 11/01/11.
Reinstall Elements 10.
It worked!

Adobe Premier Elements 12 , Unknown errors when rendering or saving or making DVD's

We purchased this software in January and have had little success it getting it to work as the errors which appear have no details to work on. the most popular error is unknown error , error converting, error rendering project. But this does not tell us what to do to fix the problem, and the staff are losing confidence in the software.
We have made sure that the users have local Full admin rights to the PC's the software is on.
Also we have second drives installed so they can put all the photos and videos and music locally ready to make the film,
We have made sure that the program also caches locally so there's no network traffic issues.
We have tried using the project archive before and also changing footage speeds as some images are from Ipads, some from cameras etc which have different rates
Some films have been fixed by removing the transitions which the programs supplies for use but have caused it to crash, but also the title pages have caused problems.
When we make the projects we also tell everyone to check that the render line is green and check for gaps etc,
We need the software to be more user friendly as it does not explain what to do when these errors occur so we try everything we have in the past but this is crazy as its very time consuming and defeats the object of buying special software to make the job easier as they were using movie maker before . Please can you help as we are losing total confidence with the product.

It has a beginning that lays a foundation and continues to stack learning blocks on that foundation. It has an end where the student has achieved a level of competence. I've toured the internet and found specific video answers for various editing challanges. But so far, I've not found any other organized courses that come close to the Lynda.com standard of teaching.
