Adobe premiere CS 3 question

When i open the Program Monitor, how come the video is too zoomed in and i cant figure out a way how to zoom out??
But when i open the Source window the view looks normal but the audio from my mp3 that i loaded cannot play when i press play from the Source. Im wondering if the sequence is the only window that functions the mp3 as well as the video?
please help me. thanks.

Is this what you meant? im still stuck as to why the sequence is too zoomed in, I also saw that the codecs for the Video were not installed. So i downloaded K-lite codec pack and still doesnt work.
I appreciate your help

  • Adobe Premiere Elements Collage Question

If this is the wrong place for this type of question please let me know.
My end goal is to use Adobe Premiere Elements 8 (or 9) to create a collage of images that appear on the screen.
What I want to happen is to have an image on the screen for a second, then spin and reduce in size to the background, only to have another image appear on the screen and repeate the process until you have a stack of images scattered across the background.
THe method I came up with was to have several background images, the first with one picture, the next with two pictures, etc with the background changing as each image spins into place.  The problem I've run into is that I can't seem to control the spin, nor make the images get smaller as they do spin.
Anyone have any idea of how to get this effect?

    Steve and Bill,
Thank you for your assistance so far.  Until you had mentioned "keyframing" I had never heard of it, but after doing some research into it, that looks exactly what I need to be doing.
Looks like it has a pretty steep learning curve, but after some trial and error (mostly struggling to understand that you had to set a keypoint at where you want the animiation to start rather than having Premiere read your mind) I'm starting to get the hang of it.
    Thank You,
    Scott

Has anyone used Adobe Premiere Elements and iMovie/iDVD to be able to make an objective comparison? It appears APE has the same feature content as iMovie/iDVD.
How well does APE run on your typical Core 2 Duo Windows laptop (1.6mhz)?
    Just curious.

Okay, so here's my settings for my project...
To begin with, my output is to a WD HDTV Plus which needs a H.264 1920X1080i30 file.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Question

One of the requirements for Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is a 7200 rpm hard drive.  I have a notebook that I purchased less than a year ago with a 1 TB 5400 rpm hard drive.  I meet all of the other requirements listed on the Adobe site for the product except for the hard drive speed.  Will this product work with my notebook?  Thank you for your response.

It'll work.  Just not as well as it could with a better system.

  • Adobe Premiere 8 Importing questions

Overall comparing to other editing software, Premiere 8 is perfect for me. However, I have an issue regarding importing .mts files.
I have been using this Emicsoft MTS Converter 4.0.06 and converted the files  .AVI and WMV and both files open up in Windows media normally. But when I open the file in Adobe premiere, the video drags but the sound is fine. Can I convert these files through Premiere? Is there a better software I should be using?
I have a Dell Laptop with Windows XP and two external drives.

I do not have issues importing .mts directly into Premiere Elements 8 (Get Media/Files & Folders). If this is your situation, have you rendered the Premiere Elements 8 Timeline content by pressing the Enter Key of the computer main keyboard to get a better preview (video and audio wise)?
I have not imported directly from the MTS into Adobe 8. I used that converter program instead I have no idea how to do that through
    premiere.
What is the source and video/audio codecs used in this original file with the file extension of .mts?
If you mean the source of the video itself, it is straight from the camera which is a Canon HF 200 from a 32 GB card.
I am using the trial version of Premiere 8. The program will arrive sometime this week.
As you can see I am pretty new at this so any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 8 question

Hi, I have a problem I have not found the answer to.
I have used my program for over a year now and I just love it,  and have not had one bit of problems. All of a sudden it has stopped working the same way. I am trying to create a movie on DVD and when I open the program the screen doesn't look the way it did when I use to use it, it only has a play screen, and not a screan where I can creat the movie. I ever tried re-installing the program
I have a HP Pavilion Elite e9220y PC, with a
    AMD Phenom llX4910 prosser
    8GB DDR3 system memory
    1 TB hard drive.
The only thing I have change is added new software for my new handycam, Sony HDR-CX150, and I must say it did change some things in my photo department, but why would it have changed my video program for Adobe? and how can I get things back to normal?
Any help would be greatly appericiated, I need this program to work, I do the video for my church and I make DVD's .
    Thanks again.....Mercysilver

    >why would it have changed my video program for Adobe?
Most likely by installing a new(er?) video codec
Reset Preferences = Press/HOLD Ctrl+Alt+Shift while starting program... which sometimes clears "odd" problems

  • Adobe Premiere CS3 (Noob Question)

I am trying to edit some footage and i am having a very annoying problem; I cant move a sequence from the project menu into either the program screen or the sequence work area, i can however move it into the source screen. This is obviously a pain in the butt as it means i cant do anything.
Does anyone know why this is happenening, im guessing its somthing stupidly simple, that ive done wrong.
    Thanks

In the Project Panel, Dbl-click on that Sequence. It will Open in the Timeline.

  • Runtime Error  - Program-iles (86)Adobe\Premiere Pro 1.5\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe

I have Adobe Video Collection V2.6. (Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5).
All of the collection will load on my system except Adobe Premier Pro.
    My system is:
    Dell Precision 670 Work Station
    Intel Xeon CPU 3.2GHz
3.19 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
    MS Windows XP
    Professional x64 Edition
    Version 2003
    Service pack 2, v.4566
When I try to load Adobe Premiere Pro I am presented with the follow statement:
    Runtime Error
    Program…iles (86)Adobe\Premiere Pro 1.5\Adobe Premiere Pro.exe
Question: How do I correct the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 Runtime Error? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    NotAPro

    Bill and Harm,
I spent 16 hours yesterday blending everything from Microsoft and Dell that
I could find relating to my problem. During all of this I lost all sound,
including playback and record on Adobe Audition 3 on another partition.  I
worked until midnight last night and came back to my computer this morning
at 2:00 AM to continue. When I turned on the computer and checked, all of
the icons for the CD & DVD units, internet phone were in place and
everything worked. Adobe Audition now records and plays back...just like old
times. I have no idea which of the changes I made corrected my problem but
the problem is solved. Just wanted you gentlemen to know.  It is reassuring
to know that there are folks “out there” a novice can count on. I will now
add the 8 GB of RAM but will not move to Windows 7 as yet. Thanks again for
    your help.

  • Question : Adobe Premiere CC 2014 and AfterEffects CC 2014

    I want to i ask a question?
How can the link between Adobe Premiere CC 2014 and AfterEffects CC 2014 ,
    Using Dynamic link tool ,
how i can purchase software that supports Dynamic link?
This supports the plan this thing Complete - For New Customers

I don't know if it's the same problem, but when I open my computer and lunch Premiere Pro CC 2014, i have to wait between 5 to 10 minutes to see some media in preview and program monitor. All the files in the project bin are "pending" and I have the super beachball. After the waiting time, everything become perfect and I can close and open Adobe Premiere like I want. Just don't have to shut down the mac. If I shut down the mac, I'll have to wait again...
It's a real problem that I have since I upgraded to Yosemite and CC2014. did a clean reinstall and still have the same problem.
    I have a iMac 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7, 32g Ram, SSD.
Let me know if you have the same problem because right now, when I did some search on the web, I found nothing!

  • Urgent question about resizing videos in Adobe Premiere

Hello, forgive me for asking such a noob question but i have a presentation due in about 10 hrs and Adobe Premiere is giving me some headaches with the video i'm trying to make!
I am trying to alter the dimensions of a movie in the 'monitor' window (the objective being to put 2 different movies side by side in the same timeline, but that's irrelevent). Screenshot is below
    http://s5.largeimagehost.com/display...sXUF&skey=nv28
I've seen it being done before - their should be a border around the frame in the 'Sequence 01' tab that lets you resize it with your mouse. But It's not appearing for me... . is their some hot key or something..? It's probably something really obvious but i can't find it...

  • Adobe Premiere and Photoshop Elements deal question

So last week I bought Adobe Premiere Elements and I love it but I just found out that there was a deal where you could buy Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop Elements for $149.   I really want Photoshop Elements but if I buy it individually I have to pay $99.  I was wondering is there a way to just add it on to the Premeiere Elements I just bought?   Or am I stuck having to pay the $99 for Photoshop elements?

You're making it much more complicated than it has to be. If you make a shortcut for  the DNG converter on your windows desktop or for a mac, a desktop alias or put the converter in the Dock, you can just drop a single file on it. The converter will open and you can ignore the stuff in the window except for the destination for the converted file, and click Convert.

  • Video Rendering Question using Premiere Elements 11 and/or Adobe Premiere

The video Rendering /encoding process can take hours even on an I5 processor.
It seems like this has to be done, redone and done again during the editing process.
If I purchase a camera which supports AVCHD 2.0 - does that mean that the encoding process altogether goes away, so that content is able to be transfered natively to the end media and so that I reduce my burn time to a BluRay Disc, using for example, Adobe Premiere Elements 11 or Full Fledged Adobe Premiere, or Sony's Vegas ?
    Newbie to Video Editing.

AVCHD 2.0 only means that the camera can also record 1080p/60, which was previously not part of the AVCHD specification and still is not part of the Blu-ray spec.  It's most useful for smooth slow motion effects.
Anything you add to Premiere Pro will need to be transcoded for Blu-ray, no way around that.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro (Version 7.0) Question

We have Adobe Premiere Pro (Version 7.0) at our studio and we run into a glitch everytime we import an AVI file type into the program. We have learned that the file type itself is not corrupted, however, when each file is dragged into the timeline, we notice that at roughly 4 minutes and 57 seconds all footage becomes frozen. The image freezes as does the audio. We have only tried this with two seperate AVI files and have not tested any other file types.

  • A Quick Question about Adobe Premiere CC

I don't know if it's my computer configuration or what, but every time I import a video it creates a .cfa file which is always created when I load my video project each time, the thing is can I disable Adobe Premiere from creating those files, I have a small 60GB SSD hard drive so it's hard to keep everything when it encodes the audio.

    Thanks for your replies gentlemen..
Yeah about this problem I have.. I am a student at a 2 year tech school and am doing this for a project.
Basically what I'm doing is this..
downloaded a copy of Tools Prison Sex Video, and what we have to do is basically put our own sounds to the video instead of the ones already on there. i.e. its a music video, but we have to create/produce our own soundtrack and sound effects for this video..
The professor isn't too great with help and simply said to open the video in Adobe Premiere and then add our own sounds to it... well the project is due tomorrow and I have spent more then 2 weeks trying to even locate another copy of this video..
I have failed, not only myself but my team, NOT sure what I'm going to tell them tomorrow..
but I'm going to try this one more time...
The video is in .avi format, is there ANYTHING I can do to get it to open up in Adobe Premiere CS3?
I am willing to stay up all night if I have to, to get this to work....already tired since I have been up since 6am and trying to resolve this.. but if I have to I have to..
the link: FAQ:How do I convert my files? simply takes me to a blank page, BOTH in Safari and FIREFOX, latest browser versions..
so there is nothing there on how to convert?
AGAIN we are simply college students, we aren't trying to make a profit on this and its actually just a school project, actually our end of semester project..
    CAN anyone help?
what I got from the FAQ links is that Adobe Premiere works best with AVI format, specifically uncompressed? is that correct?
Unless someone know's where I can get a copy of the video, Tool "Prison Sex" so that it works in Adobe Premiere CS3?
    here's hoping somebody can help..
thanks again you guys have been wonderful!

  • No Disk Error for Adobe Premiere Elements 12

I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 12 to my PC. Everytime I load the software, I get this annoying alert saying that there is no disk located error. I can get it to go away if I click on try again a bunch of times, but I want to get rid of this problem. It should NOT be happening. SOME BODY TELL ME WHAT TO DO PLEEAASE!

    Blue Mask
Please check out recent thread which sought to solve the disc error message that appears to be similar to what you are reporting
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/6246049#6246049
There was no definitive answer. Still waiting for follow up to the latest line of questions in that thread.
Suggestions about this being a long time issue are a bit misleading. In versions of Premiere Elements earlier than 12, there was a SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5  feature which appeared to be linked to the disc error message. And, updating SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 was claimed to be the cause and remedy for the disc error message.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1300410
However, SmartSound/Sonicfire Pro 5 is no longer a feature in Premiere Elements 12. Premiere Elements 12 does have a Music Score feature, similar in principle to SmartSound soundtracks, but the SmartSound feature is gone in version 12.
Please review that information in the link above and let us know if any of it works for you.
    Thank you.
