Adobe Premiere for Windows 8 RT

Will it be available to Adobe Premiere Pro for Windows 8 RT?
It would be interesting to leave an editing application for Windows 8 RT, so it would draw more out of Adobe Cloud and be able to access the projects from a Tablet Windows 8 RT.

This is mostly a user to user forum, with a few Adobe employees who post, but not on a regular basis
As such, nobody here knows Adobe's plans

  • DVCPROHD Quicktime Footage and Adobe Premiere CC (Windows)

    Hi All,
I've come across a problem today and I was hoping some of you may have some ideas to help me fix it.
I have a project, a feature length film, that was edited years ago using Final Cut Pro 6 on an old Power Mac G5, my old editing machine.
In Fall of 2010, I made the switch to PC and in Spring of 2012 to the Adobe Creative Cloud.
Last summer, I was asked to produce some additional DVDs of the film. I did so by taking the master Quicktime File Export (A 30 gig DVCPro HD Quicktime File) and bringing it into Adobe Premiere CS5.5.From there I was able to export to mpeg2 DVDs very quickly by utilizing the Adobe Media Encoder. Shortly thereafter, I updated to CS6 and the Creative Cloud.
I received another request today to upload the film to my vimeo account. I went to open the project file in Adobe Premiere CC. After updating the project file, the timeline opens, however, the footage is completely "Whited" out. I've tried numerous techniques including updating my NVIDIA Drivers, Quicktime components, using both CUDA and Software Mercury playback, etc. Nothing seems to work.
I've never had difficulty opening DVCProHD in a Quicktime wrapper before. Is this an issue new to Adobe Premiere CC? Does anyone have any solutions.
    Quick Specs on my system:
    Adobe Premiere CC
    Windows 7 64 Ultimate
    24 Gigs Ram
NVIDIA Gefore 9800 GT (utilizing CUDA hack)
    Intel Core i7 950
THanks in advance for any help.

    Hi All,
Vinay, thanks for the suggesttion, but that did not work.
Kevin - Yes, I'm using Quicktime Pro Version 7.
CC_Merchant - Yes I understand that, but I have used this 9800GT with CUDA accelleration for years with not a single issue. I'm certain that's not the cause of this problem.
JaysonM-Y - I believe since version 5 that you have been able to use DVCPRoHD within Premiere for playback (but not for authoring or playback in QT player)
    Any other ideas?
    Steve

  • Adobe Reader for Windows Phone cannot open older PDF versions?

I've found that Adobe Reader for Windows Phone displays the following error when I try to open certain PDF documents: "There was an error opening the document".
After doing some limited testing I found that it can successfully open PDF documents which were saved as "PDF version: 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)", but the error appears when it tries to open documents saved as the older format "PDF version: 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x)". (I am checking the filetype version by opening the documents in Adobe Reader X on my PC and looking at the document properties).
My phone is a HTC 7 Mozart running Windows Phone 7.5. I noticed the problem when I was using the SkyDrive app to try and look at some PDF files I have saved in SkyDrive. SkyDrive downloads the file and then passes it to the Adobe Reader app to view. It works when I look at a newer version 1.5 PDF but not the older v1.3 type. Unfortunately my HP Photosmart 5510 scanner outputs scans as PDF files and only in the older file version.
I've tried reinstalling the SkyDrive app and the Adobe Reader app on my phone. (The Adobe Reader app is version 10.1.1, build 20120919).
Is this a known limitation, or is this a bug?
If this is a limitation that won't be fixed - is there an easy way I can convert my files to the newer file type? (Adobe Reader X on my PC doesn't seem to offer a way to convert existing files)
    Thanks!

A creative Cloud membership provides you with the ability to have installations on different platforms, Windows and Mac.  And since you are allowed to have two working installations, you can have one of each.

  • Adobe Reader for Windows Phone without WVGA restriction needed

As a graphics designer for me it is important to use Adobe Reader on my Windows Phone 8 device, because of it's original developed engine compared to third party apps. This is important for vewieng my profesionally generated PDFs on my Windows notebook, tablet device and phone!
The Adobe Reader in the Wndows Phone Store (http://www.windowsphone.com/de-de/store/app/adobe-reader/bc4f319a-9a9a-df11-a490-00237de2d b9e?signin=true) is restrictes to WVGA, but all the actual devices use a higher resolution.
So, please support us Windows driven creatives with the whole range of your products!

  • Adobe reader for windows phone market availability

Adobe for windows phone is the defacto pdf reader in the whole of the windows phone ecosystem. Unfortunately while publishing the application for distribution, adobe forgot to include the new windows phone supported markets. This means users with windows phone in those markets can't download the application.  Kindly rectify this and include the new markets. I beleive this application should be distributed worldwide.  My market confuguration is tied to the Kenya Region.

    Any suggestions would be appreaciated.
They have a website with support and a forum.  https://www.videocopilot.net/products/action2/
    Looks like cool stuff.
They list compatability with Premier Elements.  Perhaps if you post a request there, you will find someone that has been down the road before you with the combination of the two products.   They may also need to know if an adjustment is necessary for PrE11.
    Good luck!

  • Adobe Applications for Windows 8 RT

    1.  Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to highlight and put comments PDFs created by others?
    2.  Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to generate PDFs from other applications?
    3.  Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to read Adobe DRM protected books that I bought on the Sony Ebookstore?

Microsoft Surface with Windows RT has an ARM-based processor. Currently, the applications that can run on the platform are somewhat limited because Surface is still relatively new.
    1. Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to highlight and put comments PDFs created by others?
Adobe Reader for Windows 8 Tablets (Windows Store app) runs on Surface.  But it only offers the basic viewing functionality so far.  We will be adding more features (such as viewing and editing of Sticky Notes and Highlight) in the near future.
Adobe Reader XI (desktop app) does not run on Surface.
Microsoft Reader (built-in XPS and PDF viewer) can add Highlight and Notes.
    2. Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to generate PDFs from other applications?
Microsoft Word (as part of Microsoft Office that comes free with Surface) can export a Word document to PDF.
    3. Is there an app for my Surface that allows me to read Adobe DRM protected books that I bought on the Sony Ebookstore?
You can probably find the answer to your question in the Adobe Digital Editions forum by typing "Surface" in the Ask a Question search box at the top of the page.
