Adobe Premiere Pro CC launches for some users, but crashes for others.

I am troubleshooting an issue in a college computer lab. Adobe Premiere Pro CC launches perfectly for some users, but crashes for others. All computers are joined to a domain. The program launches successfully under faculty and admin accounts. It launches under my student account and will launch for some students in the class. There are, however, some students who cannot get the program to launch. Each time it fails when attempting to load ImporterQuickTime.prm.
For these students, the following error appears:
Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working
Check Online for a solution and close the program (Tried this nothing seems to come of it)

I did check Quicktime and it is not updated to the most recent version. However, if it was a result of Quicktime not being up to date, why can some accounts launch the program while others cannot. I have also updated the graphics driver on one computer. No change. I compared my student Active Directory account to that of one student who could not launch the program. They are in exactly the same place in AD and therefore have the same permissions on the domain. This is a puzzling issue and the instructor is getting frustrated. Any help or suggestions with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea, other than what I said about the program's design requirement for an Admin account and "sometimes" problems on any other account
About the only thing I can suggest is a "remote control" chat session... when a student with a non-working account is having problems

Safari does not open for some users, but does on others...

I have 5 user accounts on my laptop. Safari opens for me (admin) & two others, but crashes before it opens on two other users. They are managed accounts w/parental control but they do have permission to run Safari.
So, I know the problem is within those two users.
I've cleaned out caches, replaced safari.plist preferences, ran cron clean jobs, even ran Disk Warrior. Still not working for those two users.
Where should I look to fix?

According to your description, my understanding is that the InfoPath form works for all users except for two users.
Since you have got the Correlation ID, you need to get more detailed error message from error log which located on the sever where SharePoint is installed: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS. Using the correlation
ID to search the log file.
The InfoPath filler form will be opened in InfoPath filler. Make sure that their InfoPath works well or you can ask them to perform an Office Repair. Make sure that they have enough permission on this form library. Check whether his computer has joined the
domain.
In addition, please test with IE 10 32-bit, compare the result.

Airplay works for one user but not for another on the same machine

I have the problem where airplay works for one user but not for another and both users are on the same machine. For the user where it does not work, everything appears normal, it's just that there is no sound being transmitted. I have tried restarting the Airport express, restarting iTunes, repairing disk permissions. Any ideas about what can be done to resolve this?

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 Will Not Open But other App like Lightroom will..

Can someone please help with with this problem!?
I have just purchased Adobe Creative Student Cloud (the full set) and my Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 won't open when clicked on... however other App like Lightroom, indesign etc will... Can some explain why this is and help me load it up so i can start editing!

Form opening for some users but not others

I created a form with an area for the recipient to simply type their name, save the document and email it back. This works for some but I have a user getting an error message:
"This document does not allow changes to be saved. Any changes you have made will not be included in the document when it's mailed. Do you want to continue?"
Could this be an issue with the user's Reader? They cannot save or email the document once they type in their name.

Reader XI is the first version of Adobe Reader that can save a filled in PDF form without any additional processing steps.
Versions of Reader prior to version XI could not save filled-in forms. Version 7 with updates was the first version of Reader that could save forms for which special Extended Reader Rights were applied to.
Which version of Reader are the users with problems using?
If before version XI and version 7 or newer, then you need to apply Extended Reader Rights to the form. For users with version 6 or older, they will have to upgrade to a newer version of Reader.

Fields are bold for some users, not bold for others.

I have a report in Crystal reports XI using BusinessObjects. One of my users is complaining that one of the fields is bold. But it's not set to bold in the report, and when I run the same report, called the same way, with the same data, the field is not bold. We had a note about printer drivers, and he ran through our help on that, but it didn't change anything.
The field is actually a subreport, but I looked at that, and it is a straight database field (SQL Server 2000, memo type), not a formula, and it is not set to bold anywhere in Crystal, at least not that I can see. And besides, it doesn't print bold for me. He saved to a pdf and sent it to me, and it is bold. I saved the same data report to a pdf and it is not bold.
Does anyone have any ideas for a direction I should look? I think I recall seeing this field bold at some time on my machine, which makes me think it has something to do with a difference in Windows between our two machines. But that's pretty vague.
Here is some additional information. It's not always the same field. Sometimes two fields in a report are bold. It happens for users with both IE6 and IE7, although it's also not happening for some of us with IE6. We can set our IE6 settings to the same, and it happens for one and not for another.

I'll ask about and check the Acrobat -- but we're using the ActiveX viewer -- so how does that matter? We've tried changing default printers before running the report, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. But... when I open the report to edit it, it does complain about me not having the printer that the report sees as a default, so it still may be related to printer drivers. I think that's a good direction to keep investigating.
I don't think the customer would like the entire report in bold, but that is an innovative solution!
I saw a post from about 6 months ago where it seemed like someone had the same problem, but there was no reply or solution. If I do figure it out (or if your help leads me in the right direction), I'll post the solution.

Just assign the saem roles as the other user who can view ..
You can inform the Auth/basis team and they shud be able to do this..
The T Code is RSECADMIN>user Tab>Assignment>user.Display and BView the roles here..
or goto SU01 and check for the Roles Tab.....
The New user must have the same roles as that of the other..

Program won't launch on Mac for one user but will for another

We just installed a new program (that is Java based) that we are about to start using in our office. It is the WorkFlows client from SirsiDynix. It works fine on my MAC but 2 other users in our office have MACs and it won't launch. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. We created another user on one of the computers and installed the program and it launches fine. Both users are Administrators. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still no luck. We have ran the Repair Permissions utility on the HD. Is there a tool or software that we can use to compare permissions or settings of the 2 users to find out why the program won't run under one of them?
We have Mac Mini OS X version 10.9.5

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

Citrix XenApp 7.6 & VDI Plugin works for some users but not others

I have a customer with XenApp 7.6 and Lync 2013 SE. They have two users homed to the same pool, both with the same VDI client policy however on one account the VDI pairing works fine over Citrix XenApp, but the other the pairing fails. On both accounts I
get prompted for the credentials, however the second account will not authenticate. I have tried domain\username, domain.local\username and [email protected] but all fail then I get the red cross through the VDI icon.
This is all from the same Windows 7 machine, all user accounts are within the same AD domain.
If anyone has seen similar before any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am banging my head against the wall!

Powerpoint 2010 file is corrupt for some users but not others

I have three client machines in our Production SharePoint 2010 environment. Two of them have Office 2010 (same version) one with Office 2007. Same OS - based on a Corporate Image, same version of IE8 (32-bit). Each user account has Site
Collection Administrator permissions to the site collection.
Our default server behavior for documents upon clicking on the Name is that the document opens in the client Office application as read-only.
Here's the issue - When one of the machines with Office 2010 opens a .pptx file on the site they receive this error message: PowerPoint found a problem with content in *filename*.pptx. PowerPoint can attempt to repair the presentation. If you
trust the source of this presentation, click Repair. (Repair) or (Cancel).
If this user clicks Repair then the file opens with visual errors in the powerpoint slides - marred images, stripped theme. If Cancel, then the file does not open.
HOWEVER, if the other two users (Office 2010 and Office 2007) repeat the same action on their machines, the file opens with no error messages, at all. The images look fine, everything is as it should be.
What could the issue be?

I have the Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 "Classroom in a Book" but my computer says "File Format is not Supported" when I try to use accompanying DVD. What is wrong please, I really like the book and want to learn!

I've had the product for a while and have tried editing without the book and using video's but it goes slow and I don't feel like I'm learning.
I'm sure there are shortcuts to be had and I'm re-inventing the wheel it seems.
"File Format not supported" means exactly what? Is my Windows Version not compatible?

Okay, so I Right Click and nothing says "Link Media".
When I double click on an asset it says, "the selected file cannot be linked because it has 2 audio channel(s) and the clip was created with 1 audio channel(s)."
However 1 video clip asset does open in CS4.
The "Lesson One" project itself says, "file format not supported." still.

No backlight for one user, but fine for another

One of my students' iBooks has no backlight when he is logged in, although the screen is fine when logged in as a teacher. When I go in the student's prefs, the brightness slider in the display settings doesn't do anything. It slides back and forth, but nothing changes. Also, F1 and F2 don't do anything. The sun icon shows up and the bars work properly, but nothing happens to the screen. I reset the PMU and that didn't do anything. I'm not the administrator for these school computers, so my access is somewhat limited (ie, I can't get into the terminal), but our tech guy can't figure this out. He thinks the student sabotaged the settings, but I can't figure out what he could have done.
And my eyes are killing me from trying to look at this dim screen! Help!

Could the student have set a 'dim screen image' as a full screenshot
and have that load as a startup item so it's on there until certain key
commands are used to revert to a normal desktop? Sometimes a
person can just use Preview and put it on full screen to make the
real Finder/Desktop quite hard to access or use, unless you know it.
I've found I can set almost anything as a desktop. One item that would
have someone wondering, is an image of my desktop with iTunes on.
There is a menu bar and a Dock on the far right side; the rest of the
screen is iTunes in Visualizer, to the edges. This, as a full screen
capture, leaves one the impression the whole desktop has frozen.
The same could be done with almost any image; even a black one.
I've not tried to get an image to load this way as a startup item in
a user account. But I think it could be done; perhaps in single user.
Though I doubt it could be as simple as this, the answer may be
something surprisingly uncomplicated to do; harder to resolve.
There may be a way to (as an Admin) remove the dysfunctional
user account entirely; perhaps even save some of the settings to
a new account, or possibly a student's work, if actually needed.
Limiting lesser user accounts to a few applications and not give
them access to change much of anything is a feature in OS X.
In any event, hope the issue gets worked out OK.
