Adobe Premiere Pro CC Support for Importing / Exporting H.265 (HEVC) 4K Video

Hi there,
Does any know about how to export 4K content direct from premiere pro in the new H.265 HEVC codec in 4K resolution, or do you know of any third party software for Mac that can do this?
I am having a problem finding a solution and frankly am surprised that this isn't already included in Premiere Pro CC.  Thanks for the help!
I ask because I am exporting VERY large 4K files (they are 1-2 hour long Nature Relaxation videos) and so naturally being able to export at the new H.265 would be a blessing!
Thanks for the help!
Dave

I'm having the exact same problem with my machine!!! I was so excited to run across your post / thread, just because I've dealt with this since December as well.
MBPr (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)
Processor  2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 /  NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M
Apple replaced the logic board in my machine in December after determining a bad GPU. Same exact screens and problems, glitches.. Sometimes getting kicked out of my account. When I log back in, it's just a matter of a few minutes before it locks up.
First I was thinking it was the CUDA driver.. Uninstalled it.. Still have the issues.. Apple pushed me to split my SSD and install a clean OS X install, new user.. reinstall apps.. Still have the same issues..
Went around this with Apple in February/March.. Was killing me with deadlines. Now, I'm back working on several large projects and for the past few weeks, the crashes and machine freeze ups are killing me. Got fed up and I'm back trying to seek help through Apple Executive Relations. I've spent countless hours trying to diagnose, working with support, visiting the local Apple store..
The kicker is that we have three of these exact machines in my team at work, all using the same Adobe CC apps/Premiere Pro.. Mine is the only one that is doing this. I will have graphic glitches when the machine wakes from sleep. I also have the screen changing color profiles -- you can see it shift (I have my machine color calibrated) from the default to the custom profile.
I would be happy to post a bunch of photos of the same graphic issues.. I have no solution at this point. Adobe, can you help us? I still believe it is a GPU issue and not software related.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, format for exporting video to web.

On the Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 I used the format "H.264" and preset "Apple Ipad 400x224, 16x9, 29.97, 400kbps." That preset isn't available in the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 edition. What would you recommend that would be comparable and good for exporting a one-hour video for use on the web (Vimeo, to be specific)?

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC launches for some users, but crashes for others.

I am troubleshooting an issue in a college computer lab. Adobe Premiere Pro CC launches perfectly for some users, but crashes for others. All computers are joined to a domain. The program launches successfully under faculty and admin accounts. It launches under my student account and will launch for some students in the class. There are, however, some students who cannot get the program to launch. Each time it fails when attempting to load ImporterQuickTime.prm.
For these students, the following error appears:

I did check Quicktime and it is not updated to the most recent version. However, if it was a result of Quicktime not being up to date, why can some accounts launch the program while others cannot. I have also updated the graphics driver on one computer. No change. I compared my student Active Directory account to that of one student who could not launch the program. They are in exactly the same place in AD and therefore have the same permissions on the domain. This is a puzzling issue and the instructor is getting frustrated. Any help or suggestions with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea, other than what I said about the program's design requirement for an Admin account and "sometimes" problems on any other account
About the only thing I can suggest is a "remote control" chat session... when a student with a non-working account is having problems

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 crashing when importing HDV Video

For some reason I keep getting crashes when importing HDV (720p60) video into the timeline of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  This has happened on two different machines, with similar specs.
Per the suggested guidelines, here are the specifics:
    Version of Premiere Pro: CS6, Version 6.0.5 (001 (MC:264587))
    All updates have been installed.
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.8.5.
Source footage: HDV 720p60 video in .MOV container.
Full text of error message: "Sorry, a serious error has occured that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down.  We will attempt to save your current project."
Link to full crash report: http://goo.gl/Gn8Bzn
Crash occurs when trying to import HDV .MOV file.
This is a consistent problem when importing .MOV files of this type.
Complete Adobe Creative Suite is installed.  Also using Episode Pro encoding software from Telestream to prepare HDV video.  No other external video hardware or codecs installed.
Yes, I am using the Mecury Playback Engine GPU acceleration.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me figure this one out.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, how to import .FLV ?

    Hello,
trying out Premiere as a software to edit gaming-videos that I download from www.twitch.tv. The files are .flv (Flash video) and at the basic Premiere Pro doesn't seem to support them, does Adobe have any official recommendation for a plug-in for FLVs / could you recommend a reliable one?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gouca

I can't believe I actually managed to "fool" Premiere CS6.
First, I tried to import a full HD flv which is about 1.6 GB. Then I read this thread, installed the On2 VP6, opened again Premiere, tried to import again the flv video, but still "Unsupported or damaged file" message.
Then I had this brilliant idea that had also helped me in a similar situation:
So here are the steps explained in a very easy and detailed description:
    1. Go to any folder, or "My computer"...
    2. If you are on Win 7 /Vista hit "ALT" on the keyboard and the "File, Edit, Tools.." toolbar will appear in the upper side of the window
    3. Click on "Tools" > "Folder Options" > "View"
    4. Under the "Advanced settings", there is a long list of options. Look for "Hide extention for known file types" and deselect it.
    5. Hit Apply and OK.
Your video file should be now like: "videoname.flv"
    6. Right click on the file, select "Rename" and simply change the extension from ".flv" to ".avi", let's say.
That's what I did and I tried importing again the video with the new extention to Premiere CS6.
Oh, and afer that you might go back to the folder options and select again "Hide extention for known file types" if yout dont want to see the extentions for all your files.

  • Adobe premiere pro cc crashes when i export to dvd

    hi all
i recently bought mac pro and shifted to adobe premiere cc from fcp 7. i am editing a fairly complicated documentary project where i have to deal various footage like mxf, m2ts, mts, mp4, mov etc. these are the footage my director got from different assigned person. those people used various type of camera like sony fs100 & z7, p1(hdv), panasonic 102aen and 250, canon dslr mark 2, 3 and etc. i know they use various type of compression. i have also some archival footage from vhs which is converted to mpeg.
i have a blackmagic ultra studio 4k card. so i'm dumping all the footage into sequences where setting is 1920*1080p with blackmagic 8 bit yuv compression. i primarily logged all the footage without any problem. but recently while i was exporting all the footage on dvds, my premiere cc repeatedly crashing. i should mention that i don't have adobe media encoder cc.
it is a huge project with almost 4 tb footage. it was running so smoothly so far. but i don't know what's gone wrong 3/4 days back my project also crashed. anyway i recovered that project but can't not export anything from it. note that i exported lots of footage as dvd before.
can any one give suggestion what should be my best sequence setting and why it's crashing? my final target of output is 1920*1080p. thanks in advance.

  • What can I do to stop Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 from crashing when exporting?

Regardless of whether I have a new project file or an existing one, edits or no edits, whenever I click export, Premiere Pro simply crashes.  Same for Media Encoder - can't even open that one.  I have all of the latest CS6 updates installed, the computer is brand new as of two weeks ago - OSX 10.9.1, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB.  The only way I've been able to export is through a backdoor: I use the dynamic link in After Effects, then render out my sequences there.  Help?

  • What are the correct Premiere Pro CS4 settings for producing WMV/MP4 to FLV/F4V videos?

    Greetings.
I have recently purchased CS4 Production Suite.  My task is to convert WMV/MP4 videos to FLV/F4V videos that contain titles, transitions, and credits for streaming from Flash Media Server.
My test videos are experiencing audio sync issues when using Adobe Media Encoder as the export tool.  When I use Flash Video Export tool using the source WMV/MP4, I do not experience sync issues.
I can control the WMV/MP4 output settings since we record our own sessions using Windows Media Encoder.  I can also utilize Flash Media Live Encoder to capture the source.
The video source comes from a video capture card (Osprey) that is connected to an IP based camera(s) which are controlled by video technicians.
We record from that capture card into WMV format.
My question is, what are the settings in Premiere to produce FLV/F4V for streaming in 480p quality?
I am new to video production and gladly appreciate any assistance.
    Regards,
    Shack

    Jim,
Thank you for your response.  I am a total noob at video, but have the requirement to produce recorded video to our FMS servers.
Here is my situation.  We have classrooms and auditoriums hard wired with IP cameras.  Our video techs can record to DVR and then finalize to DVD (VOB).  We also have a control center that can capture those cameras using Windows Media Encoder to record.
I have been given CS4 to produce these videos.  Each time that I transcode, the audio gets out of sync.  I am trying to figure out a suitable way to take VOB and WMV files into PP and output to FLV/MP4.
    Appreciate any advice...

    CS7... or CS6.5?
I don't have any links, but I remember a past discussion where the Adobe CEO said they would be going to an annual release cycle... with a .5 (paid) upgrade between the major version upgrades
If that is still true, that means that what will come out this year will be CS6.5

  • Exporting AE composition as Adobe Premiere Pro Project

Hi Adobe support team; me again. Do you know what am I supposed to do? Step by step and very simple vocabulary plz... The question? What am I supposed to do to export an After Effects composition as an Adobe Premiere Pro Project. When I export a layer from the composition it works good, but when I try exporting all the composition, it doesn't work at all. There is obviously something wrong; what it is?

Depends if you are on the cloud or not or the new 12.0 version.  One way to do it is to import your AE footage into PP as pending on your puter....
Important to tell your version and OS when posting. What seems clear at your end is being asked from someone who has not seen your challenge.

  • Horizontal lines across video in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0

I had used a software called Virtualdub to deinterlace and remove lots of garbage from the edges of a video. I had also used a software called Neat Video inside of Virtualdub to remove a lot of grains from my vhs video.   I prefer to use Adobe Premiere because it's superior to Virtualdub when it comes to color correction.   That is my own opinion, however,  I imported the video from Virtualdub into Adobe Premiere.  I did some color corrections on my vhs video.  The video looks a whole better than the original.  I saved the video with the color correction and exported it as an avi file.  I exported the same video into Pinnacle to burn on a dvd.  I noticed that the video had a lot of  fine horizontal lines going across it.  I would like to know what am I doing wrong with all of  these procedures.  I'm a beginner trying to learn how to use Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. for video editing.  I would like to use this software totally to edit my video instead of using Pinnacle software. I hope that my problem isn't too complicated.  Thanks.
    Gerald Sr.

You can do everything in Premiere: you do not need VD or Pinnacle.
First of all I would not deinterlace nor get rid of the edge gargage of the original footage in VD.
Depending on how the deinterlacing is being done, it still will bring down the quality off the footage.
If its for dvd on a standalone player just leave it interlaced.
Edge garbage is easily removed in Pro2 by scaling up the footage a tiny bit.
I would only use Neat Video in VD and export the footage to avi with the Lagarith codec which will give you a lossless file.
    http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
Or skip VD and get Neat Video as a plugin for Premiere
In Premiere you can create dvd's and besides it has a much better mpeg2 encoder then Studio has.
