Adobe Presenter Converter

I have been trying this converter out today and yes it converts Captivate projects but I am guessing the majority of e-learning content generators require a converter for Adobe Presenter content.
When I import slides from PowerPoint (that I have edited with Presenter) it does not import sound, remember the animation timings etc.. so takes a lot of work to make it into.
Will I have to do this for all of my existing Presenter projects or are there plans for this converter to support .swf files generated in Presenter?
Regards,
Dave.

Always use the latest version of the DNG converter that will run in your OS.
As SS says, the DNG works on folders only, not on individuals files.  THe files are not supposed to "load".  They will remain untouched and the DNG Converter will generate raw DNG files (copies) from each and every raw file.
You can then open the DNG files with any relatively recent version of ARC.

Love the Adobe products first. OK , I have my instructional coaches creating power point presentation add audio to each slide with the presenter 10 add ins. I need these presentation converted into MP4 like you can do with adobe presenter video creator.

If you import the PPT deck into Captivate it will not bring the audio from Presenter. But you can import it into Captivate after the slide deck has been imported. The audio files aren't necessarily named in a logical fashion in the source files for the presentation, so I would recommend that you publish the presentation locally and then find the 'data' folder in the published output and the audio files will be named in a way that you can infer the slide they are associated with. Not the simplest proceedure but it should be pretty painless.

Communicate better with engaging videos that you can create at your desktop and deliver to video sharing sites and mobile devices. Now with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 support, Adobe Presenter 8 software helps you convert slides into interactive content using out-of-the-box assets and quizzes.

Seems to major on the integration of presenter video with slides. Video seems to be winning the war against SCORM primarily because of mobile device friendliness I think.
Very neat home office by the way. I think that's the Yeti mic (bigger than it looks in the online store pics)!

  • How to record a simple sidebar video as in Adobe Presenter 7

In Adobe Presenter 9, how to record a video with my webcam to put as a sidebar video for one slide ?
In Presenter 7 we could do that easily.  Now with the new video editer we can make great videos and capture the screen.  But that's not what need...
How to do a simple sidebar video without capturing the screen...
Look at the point 4 on this website: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Presenter/7.0/WS56318F3C-65A7-477b-8CAA-2CBF0902BA5B.html
    3-...Capture video...
4-...then select... ...sidebar video to record video for the Presenter image area.
It was easy in Presenter 7 !!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks

When you use the video recording feature in Presenter 8+, it does record a stand alone WMV of your webcam. While the workflow isn't as clean as before, it can be inserted back in just as a sidebar video, without the background screen capture. Here is how you can do it:
Use the Presenter Video Creator to record your video. Disregard that your screen is being captured, you won't use it.
After you record your video, Save your project. Don't publish it, as the published output is useless to you.
Back in Presenter, choose to Insert Video.
Browse to your webcam capture (My Documents > My Adobe Presenter Video Projects > {What ever you named the capture} > mt). Should be named something like presenter_video1.wmv
Presenter will convert it to FLV, you can select the quality and location, slide or sidebar, as in previous versions of Presenter.
If desired, you can use a 3rd part video conversion tool to convert the WMV video, but that may not be necessary.

  • Adobe Presenter 9 and PowerPoint 2013 - Missing Import Audio from PowerPoint button

I am only able to intermitantly use the Import button in Adobe Presenter 9 to Import Audio from PowerPoint. Why would I be able to do it on some presentations but not all? I thought it was an audio conversion issue but even when I convert the audio (when prompted by PowerPoint) it doesn't always allow me to import it.

I have found a solution if the original PowerPoint was a ppt file, follow these steps:
File > Save As a pptx file
Close PowerPoint (this helps with not corrupting the file)
    Re-open the pptx file
    File > Convert
Save with a new file name (this helps with not corrupting the file)
You should now have the Import from Presentation button if you go to the Presenter tab and click the Import button
I have not found a solution for pptx files yet.

  • How to update Adobe Presenter 8.01?

I am trying to do presentations with animated inking on a tablet and the quality is so poor (I have to use ppt instead of pptx in the native inking). I have to convert them to images. I'm hoping that they work in presenter 8.02, but I can't figure out how to get an update. I found a link here earlier this afternoon, but searching does not give me the same link. I also can't find the FAQ - it might be there, but I can't seem to find presenter FAQs.

I was running 8.0.1. The update within the presenter ribbon did not report 8.0.2. Also, the 'Adobe Application Manager' does not seem to know about Adobe Presenter, so it reports no update. But I was finally able to update to 8.0.2 from another link that I found in the forum. It did not fix my issue with inking. Also, I have some issues with animating equations. Note that the inking issues are shown in the bottom links here. Please let me know if the prpkg package is what you need. My workaround is to convert these objects to pictures, and then they can be animated. This makes an extra step for every animation, plus they lose the ability to be edited.
The following bugs/limitations were sent to 'rahuls at adobe.com' on 10/31/12
I have uploaded four files to my public dropbox. I am traveling and the hotel has a throttled e-mail, but dropbox is telling me that the file uploads were fast. Please let me know if these uploads show to you the bugs that I am working around.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/95983602/equation_bug_ppt.prpkg - this shows the equation bug when the file is in .ppt format. Some of the problems are due to incompatibility of the new MS equations with the .ppt format, I think, but there are other issues. You can hear in the audio a description of what I see during recording. The only way that works is to use MS 3.0 equations or MathType equations and paste images of the equations as shown in one of the slides at the end. It does not work to embed them.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/95983602/equation_bug_pptx.prpkg - this shows the equation bug when the file is .pptx format. None of the new MS equations are animated properly in the final SWF. You can tell from the audio that it looks OK during recording. The older MS 3.0 and MathType equations work only if they are embedded as images as you see if you look at one of the slides near the end.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/95983602/inking_bug_Package.prpkg - this shows that inking can be used on slides in .ppt format, but the visual quality is very low. It looks very unprofessional, even if video is set to lossless. Animation seems to make it worse, but I could not figure out for sure.

  • Adobe PDF Converter fails to create PDF

    Hi,
This is my first post here. I've searched the forums but have failed to find any posts describing my specific problem.
I am trying to print to PDF using the "Adobe PDF Converter" device, but whenever I try to do so I am presented with a window labeled "Creating Adobe PDF" with a pull-down menu labeled "Document Name" that is entirely empty and a Hide button. Also the window states:
    PDF Name: Untitled.pdf
    PDF Folder: C:\Users\Name\Desktop
If I click the pull-down menu it rolls down with about five empty lines. Now, regardless whether I press the hide button or not, there is no PDF output created in the PDF folder.
This happens regardless of which application I am printing from, e.g. Notepad, Chrome, etc.
This is how I get to the "Creating Adobe PDF" dialog: Ctrl-p -> Choose "Adobe PDF Converter" in the print dialog, then click print -> then choose an output filename in the "Save PDF file as" dialog -> "Creating Adobe PDF" dialog appears.
I have Adobe Design Premium CS3 installed on a Windows 7 32-bit machine.
I have tried reinstalling the "Adobe PDF Converter" printer device, but that didn't help.
Any advice how to fix this would be much appreciated. Thanks
    Andreas

It would appear you are using a different converter, not sure. The one that comes with Acrobat will appear in the printer list as the "Adobe PDF" printer. When you select to print to the Adobe PDF printer, you should get a Save As menu. Then it would proceed. However, I believe that CS3 comes with AA8 and that is likely the problem. To be successful at all, you will need to be sure to update Acrobat to the most current version of AA8 and then it may work. Adobe does not support AA8 on a Win 7 platform and only would recommend an upgrade.
    That is some thoughts.

  • Adobe PDF Converter port

    Hi
A client Windows 7 64bit computer can't print PDF files using the Adobe PDF Converter that was installed by the Adobe CS3 Design package.
I checked and realized that the printer port "Desktop\*.pdf"  was missing
I followed the recommended procedure to create the required printer port :
    =================
    Manually install the PDF Printer
Click Start >  Control Panel > Devices and Printers
    Select Add a printer
    Select Add a local printer
Check Use an existing port and select Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF) from the drop down.  Click Next
    Click the Have Disk… button
    Click the Browse… button
    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF
Select AdobePDF.inf from the list, then click the OK button
You will see many Adobe PDF Converters in the list, however count six down from the top and click Next (you may need to try this numerous times to find the correct Converter from the list that works with your version of Windows)
Name your printer, e.g. Adobe PDF
Follow the rest of the prompts and your PDF printer should now be installed correctly
    =================
Unfortunately I get errors when the setup tries to copy the Adobepdf.dll file over to System32
I disabled UAC and tried again but the errors are still present
    any idea ?
    thanks
    yann

CS3 is very old. What is that, Acrobat 8? If so, make sure you are at least updated to Acrobat 8.1.0

  • Downloading adobe presenter video from web

Hi everyone.I am trying to download adobe presenter video at
    the address:
    http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/trade-like-professional/68958-trade-like-professional-dj.ht ml
But I cant.I tried almost all flash video downloader programs
but they didnt work.Is it possible to download adobe presenter
    videos from a web page.
    Thanks.

HM, you may need to try re-creating the hyperlinks, and see if that helps. It may come down to a process of elimination of objects on the slide to figure out why the links don't work.
For video converters, you can look at using the Adobe Media Encoder. You should be able to use version 6 without a CC membership, not sure about version 7. Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Windows. Otherwise, you might want to try handbreak, as it is free. If you like Movavi, then that seems like a reasonable option, I personally like using AVS, and it is priced similar to Movavi.
Presenter should be able to convert your MOV to FLV as well, though you don't have much control over most of the settings in the conversion process. You can import FLV or MP4 without Presenter doing any conversions. Other formats that Presenter will take will be converted to FLV.

  • Adobe Presenter Mobile

I'm pleased with Adobe Presenter Mobile in how it works with published PowerPoint presentations on my iPad. Most features work great.
However, I noticed that recorded Adobe Connect meetings in the FLV format don't play via the Presenter Mobile application.
Am I doing something wrong or is this something that might not work now but will work in future version of Presenter Mobile?
In the meantime, any recorded Adobe Connect meeting that I want to share via mobile devices are downloaded in the FLV format and converted with software like the following:

    Thanks for any help!
    Leona :-)

    Hello,
Thank you for your feedback on Presenter mobile.
The Presenter mobile app is meant to be used to run Presenter content only. You can view a Presenter content from any web server or placed on Connect. A public or a private Presenter content placed on Connect can be viewed using the app.

  • Adobe Presenter Multi Language Publishing Support?

    Slovakian
    Spanish (Europe)
    Spanish (Latin America)
    Swedish
    Thai
    Turkish
Can you please let me know, if it is possible to do that in Adobe Presente(Any version will work), and how? Dose Presenter supports publishing in all these languages?

The player skin carries text for: German, English, French, Spanish (Spain), Itialian, Dutch, Chinese (simplified), Japaniese, Korean, Poruguese (Brazil), Russian and Turkish. These text lables will display based on the OS language setting of the viewer. You could modify any of these text lables to be in any other language, and, if you are adept enough, could possibly modify the file that holds the text lables and the XML that calls to it to have additional text.
However, for the content of your PPT and the audio associated with it, you would need to have someone or something do that conversion for you. Traditionally called globalization, there are a number of groups that do it out there. Feel free to PM me if you want info on the group we use.

  • Using Adobe Presenter or Captivate for video narration

    Case # 181254378
    Customer said "
Using the latest version of either Adobe Presenter or Captivate on a Windows system with a web cam (or similar video capture device)
, we’d like to add a video narration to a PowerPoint presentation that is synchronized to animation contained within the slides. Cur
rently PowerPoint allows the addition audio narration in sync with slide animation. Adobe presenter allows for the addition of video
narration to a static slide (in edit view). This makes it difficult or impossible to easily time video narration to match a slides
animation. Ideally we want to record video narration with active slide animation similar to the way audio narration can be added wit
h animation playing. This removes a lot of guesswork and complication from the production process."
Please advice about the same wether this would do for a feature request or,
How can we go ahead and perform this?

    I figured it out.
If you select H.264 as the format you can then select YouTube Widescreen HD for the preset.
This will set everything up to convert your MTS file to 720p and reduce the file size by around 30% with little quality degradation in my experience so far.
The only problem I encountered was the video was kind of choppy when the camera panned but that was remedied by upping the frame rate from 24 to 29.97.
Hope this helps someone and if anyone has any suggestions to improve efficiency or reduce file size post it in here.

  • Adobe Presenter 7 and Captivate - WHY?

In the ongoing Adobe product confusion where product names
and features overlap and where product families are supposed to
complement each other we now have Adobe Presenter 7.
It looks just like captivate with two important differences
    in Presenter 7:
You lose the Captivate screen recording
You gain a slide progress pane in the presentation (not a
progress bar, it shows the slide titles vertically)
This Presenter 7 tool is billed as an import facility to
Flash enable and quiz enable PowerPoint slides.
Sounds just like Captivate and looks just like captivate with
the exception of the above items
So why bother to make another product? All they needed to do
was leave Captivate alon and then add the slide progress pane and
you have the same product with the ability to do screen recording.
Seems odd to add another product with another name to the already
bloated Adobe family of product. More unusual is the complete
overlap of features seen here. Presenter 7 seems to have some
features that might show up in the next release of Captivate, but
Presenter appears to add only the progress of the slides as a side
pane? Why bother to have two products?
It looks like the Adobe Connect Pro package includes
Presenter 7 and that makes sense, but why not just include
Captivate with Connect Pro and then add the navigation progress
pane found in Presenter. Way too much overlap of product here and
it woul dbe nice if captivate would include this one new feature
    from Presenter.
Look at it this way, Captivate is Like "Presenter Pro" and
all they need to do is add one simple navigation progress pane,
convert to the enhanced sound editing screen and presto...
But why would anyone spend the additional $500.00 for a copy
of Presenter when it is basically Captivate with one minor addition
and no screen recording? Strange product plan, very strange indeed.
    Joe C.

My goodness I logged on just to ask why Adobe had Presenter
in addition to Captivate and I found this posting that says EXACTLY
    what was on my mind.
When you consider the amount of overlap between the two
programs, it's bewildering. Anyone here from Adobe with some idea
of the reason behind making Presenter? From Adobe's presentation of
the product, Presenter basically publishes presentations, pools and
    quizzes in flash or pdf.

  • Adobe PDF converter printer driver not installed: No longer working.

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled my Epson printer and now my PDF converter isn't working.
I'm using Win XP and Adobe CS3 Design Standard. I tried several of the suggestions here on the forums on reinstalling PDF converter driver and or switching ports, but to no avail.

    Problem Solved !!!
    Printer Name: Adobe PDF
    Port: Adobe PDF Local Port
    Advanced: Driver: Adobe PDF Converter
Spool Print  and Start printing Immediately (Uncheck Send to Printer)
Once I got the above in place I was then finally able to install as noted below:
Try adding it manually: These instructions are for Windows 7 but I don't
think Vista's install varied much, if at all.
    1) Open the Devices and Printers dialog box and select Add a Printer
    2) Add a* Local Printer* at the next dialog box asking what type of printer
    you want to install.
    3. Select* Create  A New Port* at the Choose Printer Port and select* Local
Port at* the type of port dropdown menu.
    4. Click Next, then at the prompt name the Port "Adobe PDF" or whatever you
    prefer.
    5. Click OK and at the Install Printer Driver dialogue box, click Have
Disk and browse to *C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat
10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF* folder and highlight the AdobePDF.inf file.
    Click Open, then OK.
    6.  When presented with a list of Adobe PDF Converter options, select the
first item from the list and click Next.
    7. Make sure the radio button is selected for Use the driver that is
    currently installed (Recommended) Click Next.
    8. The printer name dialogue box should default to Adobe PDF Converter, if
not change it to that exact name.
    9. Then click Next through remaining screens to install.
At this point, the printer should be installed.  Hopefully this helps.
