Adobe Presenter Course not Marking Complete in LMS

We have a course built with Adobe Presenter and was loaded into our LMS (sumtotal 7.5).  After completing the course, it is not marking completions.
Here is what the settings are set for the course in Adobe Presenter:
- enable reporting (checked) for SCORM
- Incomplete--> Complete
- success/completion criteria = user access
- data to report = quiz score = points
Any suggestions?

Hopefully your SumTotal folks may have an answer...likely this has come up before?
If not, better to ask in the Presenter forum (curiously hidden way in the Connect forum):

adobe pdf can not be completedly displaced by Adobe reader XI while it is inserted into a Excel2013(office 365) file

    Sorry
    should be “displaying”
Like when open a drawing pdf which is inserted into Excel(office 365) as an object, some lines, dimensions with remark can not be displayed and only few graph can be displayed.
But if the drawing is a separate PDF file, not inserted into Excel(office 365)as an object, the Adobe XI reader can always open it with all graphs, figures, texts, lines etc. smoothly.

Please explain in full detal what you are trying to do and what happens when you try. I don't understand what you mean by "displacing a pdf (file?)".

  • Will not show complete in LMS

I've created training and a quiz using instructions provided
    by my LMS people.
Under properties on the last slide, In navigation I was
instructed to enter javascript:setExitState(); to make sure the
course shows as "complete" in the LMS. I've gone through the whole
training but the module still does not close out after the last
slide and will not show as "complete" under the status.
    Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the Captivate forums!
Depending on your LMS, you may need to change the settings in
the Quiz properties. For example, some LMS products expect your
materials to report Complete/Incomplete, while others expect
    Pass/Fail.
Either that, or one or more of your individual scored
interactions are not set up correctly.
If you post the name of your LMS, perhaps someone else has
the same one and can provide specific assistance.
    Regards,
    John

  • Adobe Presenter 8 Not Publishing

    Hi,
I have a course originally developed with PPT 2003, then upgraded to PPT 2007 and developed in Presenter 7. When I go to publish in Adobe Presenter 8 (.ppt in compatability mode) when I publish, I just get the gray screen with the Adobe spinning green icon. All of my course have worked prior to upgrading to Presenter 8. I am not receiving any error messages. I've tried saving as .pptx and that does not resolve.
    Thank you.

    Hi
Can you please mail your presentation to [email protected] so that I can look into your issue?
    Thanks
    Mahesh Nayak

  • Adobe Presenter 7 not compatible with Office 2010?

Despit Adobe's claims of a new version capable of functioning with office 2010, I still see it will not detect Powerpoint in both x86 as well as x64 bits versions, yes, BOTH!!!!

Office 64 bit is definitely not supported. For 32 bit Office 2010, Presenter is definitely supported otherwise it will not even install
You can check for PowerPoint if Presenter got added to the list of disabled add-ins. If that is the case you can enable the same and will start seeing the Adobe Presenter Tab

  • Captivate 6 not showing complete in LMS

I can't get captivate 6 projects to show completed in my LMS (successfactors AICC format).  I can get captivate 5 project to show closed but not captivate 6.  Any ideas?

Captivate 6 had totally revamped drivers for SCORM and AICC.  Adobe ditched the ones they had used previously and went with Rustici drivers.  Rustici are the people that make the SCORM Cloud LMS.
I recommend you try uploading your content to SCORM Cloud to see if it works fine there.  If it does, then the issue is with your LMS, not your Captivate content.

  • Captivate 5 Not Recording Completion in LMS

Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix? Learners have 3 attempts to complete the module. Attempts are recorded but not completion.

I am experiencing similar but inconsistent issues with Captivate content in SumTotal LMS (SCORM 1.2) -- athough I have used other e-learning authoring software, I am admittedly new Captivate user so assume that I am just unclear on exact settings to use when publishing for and/or uploading to LMS.  But I still can't figure out where/how to report simple completion of course (no real testing/scoring) to LMS, and can't seem to find any other documentation or discussions around these LMS publish settings, so any input/advice would those experienced would be much appreciated.  Thanks, JC

  • Captivate 6 not marking completions using IE 8

About 90% of the employees completing a course that was created in Captivate 6 are not showing a completion status on the LMS using IE 8.  I understand that this is a provlem with IE 9 but I did not find any other documentation regarding IE 8. Has anyone else experiences this issue and if so, did you find a resolution other than adding a button to indicate the course completion?  There is no quiz with these courses.

Hi, I am having similar issues under slightly different conditions...
    I am using:
    Captivate 7
    SCORM 2004
    Template: SendTrackingDataAtEnd
    Cornerstone LMS
    Multiple Browsers: IE8, Firefox, Chrome
About 10% of my users are unable to complete their training even though they satisfy the completion criteria (view 70% of the slides.)
No matter how many times they review the content, the LMS still shows the online lesson as 'In Progress.'
I tested a sample course on the Scorm Cloud and it worked fine and showed completion across multiple browsers... Does this mean it is purely an LMS issue? How might I change my captivate file to send the time/completion data in a different way that my LMS may receive more frequently/efficiently?
    Thank you for your help.

  • Adobe Presenter 9 quiz results reporting to LMS

We have over 50 users of AP9, and currently use a Success Factors LMS. Our AP9 quiz results are currently reporting only the cut/mastery score to the LMS student transcript, not the actual score the student gets. Any ideas? I've read all the help and tutorial material and it does not address the actual score reporting anywhere. What are the correct quiz and Reporting options settings to get actual scores reported for a final quiz? We SCORM wrap v1.2. Our LMS suppport says it is pulling what AP9 sends- which is the cut score. When we test as a learner, we can get 100% but if the mastery score is set at 80% we see as a learner we acheived 100% but only 80% score goes to our transcript. Does AP 10 function differently in this aspect than AP 9?
    Thanks, Elizabeth

    Hello,
I am experiencing a similar issue. Was a resolution ever found?

  • Adobe Presenter can not use audio output after 10.8 upgrade

    Hi,
I just upgraded from Snow Leopard (10.6.8) to MTL (10.8). All went smooth apart from the fact the when I launch adobe presener (flash) over any browser in MacOS, it can not play the audio part. It used to with 10.6.8.
The problem persists after rebooting the Mac. Other Apps (iTunes) use the audio just fine. So, it's something specific to the path of code that Adobe flash is using (?). The funny part is that when I launch VMware Fusion and a Windows7 VM, I can use the audio for the same application. So, it's the MAC part that's broken. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing an updated plugin or something?
    regards,
    Thanos

There's no change if I hold command-R to boot into recovery. The mac chimes on powerup but nothing else seems to happen.
The machine has an SSD drive in it so I can't even listen to hear if it is loading anything or acting differently when I try different keypresses.
As I had some spare RAM lying around, I've tried swapping that in but no change there either. I still suspect it's a software rather than hardware problem, but without any way to control the boot up, I'm not sure how I can fix it.
I do have remote time machine backups - is there any way of restoring these manually, perhaps by removing the drive from the mac and copying the backup data over using another system? (Unfortunately I don't have any other mac systems to experiment with this, though)

  • Adobe Presenter 10 not showing up in MacBook Air PPT

I just downloaded Presenter 10 for my Mac.  After installing it and restarting my computer, Presenter 10 did not show up in PPT.  I'm running Yosemite.
What suggestions do you have to get it running?
    Thanks.

    1.  Enable Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Web Content:
Click in the box for "Enable Plug-ins".
    2. Check  whether you are currently  in  YouTube HTML 5 trial.
         http://www.youtube.com/html5
At the bottom  left of the page  uncheck the box for
"You are currently in the HTML5 trial".
    3. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the boxes next to all items.
Check the box next to "Remove all website data".
        Click "Reset".
    4. Turn off Extensions/Plug-ins if any that may interfere with Flash working properly.
        Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    Best.

  • Adobe Presenter - AICC No Completion in Saba

I am currently testing integration with Adobe Presenter courses using the Saba LMS and AICC import.  The training content is on a different domain than LMS so I have used the frameset and crossdomain.xml workarounds suggested in another Adobe forum post.  Everything is fairly successful, however, even when I have completed the content according to the completion rules set in Adobe and the content module (lesson) shows as complete on My Enrollments, the course is still showing as Not Evaluated in general and is not moved from My Enrollments to My Transcripts.  I tried with Captivate and it is updating the content module (lesson) complete in Saba and also marking the course as complete and moving to My Transcripts.
Why is Presenter not working the same way?  Any advice is appreciated.  Thanks!

First, the best place is probably the Presenter forum, which somewhat curiously is under the Connect umbrella:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/connectpro/connectpro_presenter
Out of curiousity, why are you using AICC? Because the content is on a different domain?
To the point, it's great to have a logging or debugging tool for these sort of things to view the communication between the LMS and the lesson. Perhaps the lesson is sending the 'completed' status but also sending some other value that the LMS is using to change the status back to incomplete?
My first suggestion would be to try the lesson in a tool like TestTrack...but I don't think that handles AICC. Does the Saba LMS have any kind of debugger or logging tool you can use? You really need to see if the lesson is sending the status back to the LMS as you suspect it should. If it IS, then the issue lies with the LMS and how it's interpreting that result. If it's NOT, then you can then perhaps figure out what to adjust in the lesson.
In general, just play with the settings. If it's set to Complete/Incomplete and has a Mastery Score, try NOT setting the Mastery Score... And other such combinations.
I hope the folks in the Connect/Presenter forum can provide more insight.
    Erik

  • Presenter is not part of Adobe creative cloud?

I subscribe to the Adobe Creative Cloud which includes access to many programs.  Apparently, this does not include access to Adobe Presenter 10.  Is this correct?

Adobe Presenter is not part of the Creative Cloud.

  • Presenter Does Not Update to 8.1

I have a subscription to eLearning Suite, but my Adobe Presenter has not updated to version 8.1. It is currently 8.0.1 Build 260. I am using Windows 7 Professional. How do I get the update please?

8.0.1 is the current version. 8.0.2 can be applied, but I believe it is only for the Adobe Presenter Video Creator, and doesn't show on the About Presenter dialog.

  • Adobe Presenter Always Passes Complete Status to LMS - Even When Quiz Failed

    Issue:
I'm trying to publish an Adobe Presenter 7 course with a quiz using SCORM 1.2. I am publishing to our LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand). The course loads and plays fine. However it always reports a complete status to the LMS - even when I fail the quiz. I can even see the score (10 out of 50 points), but the status still shows as completed when it should be incomplete. The pass threshhold is set to 50 points...and yet any scoring allows a completed status.
    Questions:
    1. Has anyone used Presenter with CSOD?
    2. Has anyone used Presenter with any SaaS LMS?
    3. Which settings are required to acurately reports a status?
    Thanks,
    Dan

On top of Ravi's suggestion, what I would also recommend is checking the "scorm_support.js" file which can be found in your Scorm Support folder---this is automatically created when you publish your PPT deck.
Open the scorm_support.js file using Notepad, Notepad++....anything other than Word.  From there, look at the top of the js file and you'll see a few variables which help to establish the SCORM setting of the training, but the one to look for looks like this:
    var g_nAPI = 1;
if that variable is set to "0", then your published content will trigger SCORM 2004, not 1.2.
I've seen this come up on a few occasions, but ever since upgrading my version of Presenter to 7.0.5, this has gone away.
Additionally, there are a few other things you can do which might help in terms of deploying content in your LMS:
    1. I would strongly recommend downloading the ADL SCORM 1.2.7 test suite.  What this basically does is allow you to test the conformity of the SCORM package of a published Presenter course to determine if problems exist BEFORE you post your files to an LMS.  You can download the test suite here:
    http://www.adlnet.gov/adlnews/Documents/News%20Archive/TheSCORMConformanceTestSuiteVersion 127SelfTestisAvailableforDownload.aspx
    2. If you have an LMS admin at your disposal, be sure to check with that person for deployment criteria when your content is installed on the LMS.  If YOU are that person, then you have some homework to do--because you're going to need to know how to run installation procedures and content checks on your training as recommended by the LMS software.
I've developed and deployed Presenter content on a variety of LMSs, and some have nastier quirks than others...so one solution may not fit every environment, but you have to keep checking!  I would also try reaching out to your LMS's tech support if possible.
