  • Adobe Presenter 9 Video Editing

I have a question for anyone who can answer this:
Would Adobe Presenter 9 allow me to take a longer video and cut it up into smaller pieces to incorporate into a presentation? I have a slide deck being used in conjunction with recorded Instructor-Led Training. The recording for the ILT I believe is going to be one, continuous recording that lasts approximately 4 hours long. I need to be able to go in, cut out the pieces of the recording I need, and put them into my presentation to correspond to the slides. Will Adobe Presenter 9 allow me to do this level of editing?

No, Presenter doesn't have any video editing functionality worth mentioning. The little bit it does have is not going to help you. I would recommend that you look at a video editing tool to make the breaks in the full recording and then import the clips using Presenter. I'm sure that there are many free or low cost options. I personally like the AVS suite of tools, as they cost $59 for a lifetime of upgrades and support. AVS4YOU Top-ranked multimedia tools. Don't let the sale fool you, I've never not seen it on sale.

  • Adobe Presenter 8 Video Creator crashes when publishing

After capturing a video and demonstration using Presenter Video Creator, I am able to edit the video, choose whether I show talking head, demo, or both.  The program seems to record everything as I would expect.  However, when I attempt to publish, it goes to 5% and then gives me this error: "Application encountered an internal error."  It does not matter if I try to publish to my computer, adobe connect, or anything else.  I see so many great possibilities for this product, but if I can't publish, then it is completely useless to me.  Does anyone have a fix for this?
Adobe Presenter Video Creator version: 8.0.1.260, 64-bit
    Thanks,
    JJ

Are you getting the internal error during publishing? or is there any other issue with the Video creator.
Can you explain the whole process at which you are getting the internal error?
The latest graphics driver provided by Intel is of version (6.14.10.5437) dated 2/13/2013.
Did you downloaded and installed the driver by traversing through this link http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm
Did it throw any error while installing the driver?
Please mention your system name and identification number, i'll check whether your system manufacturer is providing any new updates for your graphics driver.
Also mention the name of the camera you used for recording.
Please make sure you are following the below checklist for recording any new video.
This is a general checklist that should be followed before using Video Creator.
Are your video card driver is up to date? Please check whether you have the latest driver from the manufacturer’s site.
    Are all unnecessary applications closed?
Do you have sufficient free space on your hard disk? At least 5 GB is needed, but around 15 GB is recommended.
Are your webcam drivers up to date? It is recommended to install the webcam driver from the webcam cd or the webcam company’s site.
Are you capturing your video in a well-lit environment? Most webcams perform poorly in bad lighting.

  • Importation video impossible, please help

Bonjour, I m working with Adobe Premiere pro CS3 on Win Xp sp3.
Its now impossible to import any media video !?
    Look like a audio media.
Tanx for help and have a happy new year
Have a look on my video.

To the OP - welcome to the forum.
In follow up to Jim's comments:
This ARTICLE will give you some background on the AVI "wrapper," and tell you how to "peek inside" that wrapper.
If the CODEC inside the AVI is DivX/Xvid, you will most likely have issues and conversion of that delivery-only material is the best course of action.
If it's MJPEG, then there are "fixes" in most cases. See this ARTICLE, if MJPEG.
Good luck, and let us know the full specs. of that AV material.

  • Adobe presenter published video is fuzzy

Can presenter publish out in HD? I have publish quality set to Best, looks super sharp in the edit window but when published looks fuzzy!

Presenter outputs exactly what is in the presentation. However, you should consider that your HD video is being compressed to fit inside the frame that is scaled to fit on the viewer's screen. So, just like a large image compressed to fit in a small space, there is a quality loss.
You may find that re-encoding the video to a lower resolution will result in a better quality video experience overall.
Also, are you importing MP4 or FLV video files or something else?

  • Adobe Presenter & MP4 Video

In Presenter 10, can I use PowerPoint to produce a MP4 video with quizzes and also able to view learner interactions?

No. Presenter doesn't output to MP4. You may want to look at Captivate for that.
However, keep in mind that MP4 is a video, which means there is no interactivty. No tool will output an MP4 with quizzes and learner interaction tracking. You are looking at outputing to either Flash (SWF) or HTML5. Both Presenter and Captivate can output to either format (thought HTML5 does have some limitations on functionality) and can have quizzes and track learner interactions. Either format can have MP4 content within it, but they won't be straight up MP4's.

  • How to link to a youtube or vimeo video in Adobe Presenter

I am new to using Presenter, and am having trouble inserting videos in Adobe Presenter (the videos are often over 1 hour in duration) and am wondering if it's possible to instead insert/embed the link to the video, which is hosted on either YouTube or Vimeo. Is there a simple way to do this?
    Thank you for your help!

Hi akuswara3, thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, it appears that that the method I originally posted (above) is now broken in Presenter 8 and 9.  The YouTube video still plays fine, but otherwise the entire Presenter interface breaks as soon as the video is played (all clickable items stop responding).
That being said, you don't really need to be a Flash developer to create an SWF handler for a YouTube video.  If you have access to the Flash development application, then all you need to do is
Open Flash (from your CS6 bundle)
Paste the above ActionScript into the "Actions Frame"
Modify the script according to the instructions above to make the script call the desired YouTube video
Click File->Publish to output a SWF file.
That's it.  Google's YouTube API (and its AS3 interface) simplifies the matter, doing all the heavy lifting for us.  The end result will be a SWF file that uses the YouTube API to call, load, and play a YouTube video.  Anywhere you can embed that SWF file, you can play a YouTube video.
Unless, of course, Adobe does something to break it.
Oh BTW - as for your last question.  I do believe that the newest release of Adobe Captivate allows for HTML embedding, including <iframes>.  This would effectively eliminate the problem altogether, as you could simply embed YouTube videos using the <iframe> embed code that YouTube generates for you.
But for now, the best way to get a YouTube into Adobe Presenter is via hyperlink (very disappointing).  Instead of a plain text hyperlink, I'd suggest a screenshot of the video and hyperlinking the image instead - or at least creating a "video button" in the PPT (better interface communication).

  • I need help in using Presenter 9 Video Creator

I'm struggling to get started with Adobe Presenter 9 Video Creator.
I need detailed, step-by-step instructions but the information that I have been able to find is far too sketchy. I have looked in the "Presenter Help and Tutorials" and I have looked at several video tutorials on You Tube but none of them given me the detail that I need.
If anyone can help directly or can point me to good sources of information, please let me know.
    With thanks,
    Gerry

Many thanks for this. It helps a bit but what I'm needing is a proper manual with details of how things are done, possible snags and how to deal with them.
I have now had a bit of help from someone from Adobe and I may now be able to get round the things that were holding me up.
    Thanks again.

  • Migrate Articulate Presenter 13 Content to Adobe Presenter 10

We need to migrate our current library of ~150 modules (approx. 10 mins each) authored in Articulate Presenter 13 over to Adobe Presenter 10 and I'm not sure the best way to go about synching the animations and narrations. The animations are all "OnClick" in PPT, and are synchronized in Articulate Presenter with the Sync Audio feature, but the audio files are not available as I believe they are within the proprietary .ppta file.
    Here's what I've tried...
Publish Articulate Presenter 13 for web
Rename published mp3 files to correspond with slide numbers
Open the PPTX file in Adobe Presenter
Import renamed mp3 files that correspond with the slide numbers
    Re-sync animations in Adobe Presenter
This is obviously quite tedious and time intensive, and I need to see about other means of synching animations.
    Questions
Is there another way to synch the animations?I could take the On Click in the Animations pane in PPT and change them to After PreviousNeed to know the timing in secondsNot easily discerned in the audio editor in Articulate Presenter
What happens to the audio after I've imported an MP3, which is already compressed and then publish in Adobe Presenter? Is it further compressed or does it maintain the same audio quality as when I brought it in?
    Thanks in advance!

Is there another way to synch the animations? No. You will need to resynch the audio through either the Sync Audio tool or the Edit Audio tool.
Could you set the animations to After Previous? Yes. I believe you can set a delay timing in PPT and have Presenter take it (not gospel truth, but I recall that working some time and a few versions ago). however you will have to know how long the audio needs to run before cuing the next animation. I would think that just doing the animations on click and synching them through the normal means would be easier and faster. My 2c.
What happens to the audio when published? If the audio is at a higher quality than the selected publish quality for the audio, then it will be reencoded to the more compressed audio settings. If it is at or below the publishing settings for the audio, it just creates copies of the audio files.
    Hope that helps.

  • Calling a YouTube video in Adobe Presenter

    Hi All,
I have been working on an eLearning module on the platform of Adobe Presenter, in few of the slides I'am suppose to call youtube videos. I could embed the required .flv file directly after downloading it from youtube and it works fine but the issue is its consuming a lot of band width when accessed on lot of comps at a time.... I have tried a lot of shortcuts via google and many more tutorials but I was not successful in calling a youtube video directly from youtube server.  I have tried replacing the required .swf file after publishing the file from Adobe Presenter where that .swf file would be calling or mirroring the necessary youtube video via some AS3.
The swf file works fine when its uploaded in to a server but doesnt work in the published presenter zip file when inserted as a general swf file.
    Need some help desperately..

    Hi,
I want to do the same thing.
I don't want to download a Youtube video and import it in my Presentation.  I want to Embedded it.
I know that Articulate Presenter is a competitor, but I found that tutorial : Add a YouTube video to Presenter | Presenter '09 | Assistance Articulate
How to do it in Adobe Presenter ?
    thanks

I will await your review of initial post where I suggested ripping VOBs from the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc in Premiere Elements 11 Windows. I still think that is the preferred approach for what your described.
You might be interested in this online article that I came across just now in which someone with your brand and model camera presented the same type of issue.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.
    Thanks!
    Dana

Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?

  • Downloading adobe presenter video from web

Hi everyone.I am trying to download adobe presenter video at
    the address:
    http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/trade-like-professional/68958-trade-like-professional-dj.ht ml
But I cant.I tried almost all flash video downloader programs
but they didnt work.Is it possible to download adobe presenter
    videos from a web page.
    Thanks.

HM, you may need to try re-creating the hyperlinks, and see if that helps. It may come down to a process of elimination of objects on the slide to figure out why the links don't work.
For video converters, you can look at using the Adobe Media Encoder. You should be able to use version 6 without a CC membership, not sure about version 7. Adobe - Adobe Media Encoder : For Windows. Otherwise, you might want to try handbreak, as it is free. If you like Movavi, then that seems like a reasonable option, I personally like using AVS, and it is priced similar to Movavi.
Presenter should be able to convert your MOV to FLV as well, though you don't have much control over most of the settings in the conversion process. You can import FLV or MP4 without Presenter doing any conversions. Other formats that Presenter will take will be converted to FLV.
