Adobe Presenter Superset Quiz Questions

In AP7, can I create a superset of questions - say 10, and then have the program randomly select only 5 each time a quiz is executed?

Yes, you can subset the Questions and shuffle them in Adobe Presenter 7. Do following steps:-
1) Go to Adobe Presenter>Quiz Manage
2) Add Question Group
3) Add Questions say 10 questions (They all get added to Question Group created at step 2)
4) Edit Question Group
5) Under "Include" set the number of questions you want to view. Say 5 out of 10, so, enter 5 in "Include" combobox
6) Check "Shuffle Questions" checkbox, this will randomly show any 5 questions out of 10 question.
Hope this answer your Question.

Shubhi

  • Adobe presenter 8 quiz problem

The default option for my quizzes had the font too small to see the text of the questions. When I made the font of the questions larger, the circles for clicking, the letters of the questions, and the question texts all ran into each other.
    So I have a question:
    1) Is there a way to change the theme or profile--I cannot tell which--on just the quiz questions? And if so, how?
    THANK YOU!

That is not the problem, but thanks.
I have changed the size of the font and when I do that, the box to
check, the letter that numbers the answer, and the question all run
together. It appears that the size of the letters have been enlarged
but not the spaces between them. Any ideas?
I think it is possible that i could change this all by inserting a new
master slide into the presentation before the quiz, but I cannot seem
    to do that.
    Thank you.

  • Adobe Presenter 8 quiz multiple choice responses changing order

I published a quiz in Adobe Presenter 8.
After it was published, one of the multiple choice questions had the order of the responses literally listed as:
         B)
         A)
         C)
         D)
    Instead of:
         A)
         B)
         C)
         D)
Has anyone ever experienced this before?
If so, is there a solution?
    Thank you........

    Hi,
What do you see on the the pptx slide (not in the published output).
    Is it
    B)
    A)
    C)
    D)
    or
    A)
    B)
    C)
    D)
If it is the first one , Please change in the pptx slide and publish.
If it is the second one, try to republish.
If the Issue still exists, please inbox me  the pptx as well as the published output at [email protected]

  • Adobe Presenter 8 Quiz Bug

I am using Adobe Presenter 8. I set up a 10-question quiz. When the user passes the quiz (score of 70% or better) it correctly directs them to the slide I designated. When the user fails the quiz (less than 70% score), the presentation gets stuck on the final question slide (it grays out and you cannot click on anything) and does not go to the slide I designated in this case. How can this be fixed? Thank you.

    Hi Vikram,
We experience a similar problem with Presenter 7.0.6.
We are using Microsoft Office Professional Plus Version 14.06129.5000 on Windows 7 Professional
Our browser is Internet Explorer Version 9.0.8112.16421.
Quiz settings include infitnite attempts at quiz, one attempt per question, move to next slide after answering. In our situation, whether a user passes or fails the quiz, the presentation will not move from the last question slide to the final  results slide. If we leave the quiz open, it will move to the next slide after 1:30 and play the audio on a blank page.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance for taking the time to look at this!

  • Adobe Presenter 8 Quiz issues

We're having issues with the way quizzes are acting in SCORM packages created with Presenter 8. Users are having the quiz freeze and unable to answer, some questions are already marked wrong when they start the quiz, and some questions (particularly matching questions) display incorrectly. We are using Moodlerooms Joule as our LMS. Any ideas?

I was having similar problem. So many that I gave up on the quizzes altogether.

  • Adobe Presenter 9 quiz results reporting to LMS

We have over 50 users of AP9, and currently use a Success Factors LMS. Our AP9 quiz results are currently reporting only the cut/mastery score to the LMS student transcript, not the actual score the student gets. Any ideas? I've read all the help and tutorial material and it does not address the actual score reporting anywhere. What are the correct quiz and Reporting options settings to get actual scores reported for a final quiz? We SCORM wrap v1.2. Our LMS suppport says it is pulling what AP9 sends- which is the cut score. When we test as a learner, we can get 100% but if the mastery score is set at 80% we see as a learner we acheived 100% but only 80% score goes to our transcript. Does AP 10 function differently in this aspect than AP 9?
    Thanks, Elizabeth

    Hello,
I am experiencing a similar issue. Was a resolution ever found?

  • Quiz Retake - Adobe Presenter 9

    Hi,
Does Adobe Presenter 9 have the ability to allow the user to only retake the questions they got wrong on a quiz instead of repeating the entire quiz? I know AP8 doesn't and I looked on all the Adobe information I could find on AP9 and didn't see this. Just wanted to be sure.
    Thanks very much.
    Susan

    Hi
There is no such settings in presenter 9 as of now.
I am taking this as an enhancement request .

  • How can I show the correct answers in a quiz on Adobe Presenter 10?

    Hi all.
    I'm newer on Adobe Presenter.
I've finished all questions on the quiz, but I like to show the correct answer after the user select a wrong answer and submit it.
I've tried many thing and the correct answer isn't displayed.
    Thanks.
    Rafael.

The correct answers are displayed after the quiz is completed and the user Reviews the quiz. If you want the correct answer to be revealed to the user in the quiz, then you will need to customize the feedback messages to state the correct answer. They are just text boxes on the slides, so you should be able to easily add text to them.

  • Using Presenter 8, quiz manager question...

Im using Presenter 8 and when i am creating a quiz from scratch, i am able to use the quiz manager to select 'if passing grade, go to slide xyz' thats fine, however...
after creating a few questions, as you normally would, i go to amend the 'if passing, go to slide xyz' (simply because the amount of question lside has now changed the slide i want it to go to) when i do it reverts straight to 'go to next slide' im not able to select go to slide xyz anymore!
i have retraced my steps and i cannot put my finger on what i am doing to stop it from working!
    can anyone shed any light?...

    Hi
I dont see any issue in the pass or fail option settings as you mention. Probably there is a certain steps to reproduce it or i didn't get it correctly.
But one thing what i got is that once you set "Go to Slide" option, no need to modify it again. The correct link for the same slide will be updated automatically.
Can you please share a screenshot of the pass or fail option dialog that will help me to undestand the issue ?
Also please share the reroducible steps pointwise.
    Thanks,
    Sunil

  • Adobe Presenter Quiz Feedback

Wondering if anyone knows why my quiz feedback (using Adobe
Presenter 7.02 and PowerPoint 2007) is blurry after publishing.
Looks good prior to publishing and my question text, etc stays
    clear? Help?

You would need to create the questions in Captivate. The questions don't translate across the products.

  • Adobe Presenter Always Passes Complete Status to LMS - Even When Quiz Failed

    Issue:
I'm trying to publish an Adobe Presenter 7 course with a quiz using SCORM 1.2. I am publishing to our LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand). The course loads and plays fine. However it always reports a complete status to the LMS - even when I fail the quiz. I can even see the score (10 out of 50 points), but the status still shows as completed when it should be incomplete. The pass threshhold is set to 50 points...and yet any scoring allows a completed status.
    Questions:
    1. Has anyone used Presenter with CSOD?
    2. Has anyone used Presenter with any SaaS LMS?
    3. Which settings are required to acurately reports a status?
    Thanks,
    Dan

On top of Ravi's suggestion, what I would also recommend is checking the "scorm_support.js" file which can be found in your Scorm Support folder---this is automatically created when you publish your PPT deck.
Open the scorm_support.js file using Notepad, Notepad++....anything other than Word.  From there, look at the top of the js file and you'll see a few variables which help to establish the SCORM setting of the training, but the one to look for looks like this:
    var g_nAPI = 1;
if that variable is set to "0", then your published content will trigger SCORM 2004, not 1.2.
I've seen this come up on a few occasions, but ever since upgrading my version of Presenter to 7.0.5, this has gone away.
Additionally, there are a few other things you can do which might help in terms of deploying content in your LMS:
    1. I would strongly recommend downloading the ADL SCORM 1.2.7 test suite.  What this basically does is allow you to test the conformity of the SCORM package of a published Presenter course to determine if problems exist BEFORE you post your files to an LMS.  You can download the test suite here:
    http://www.adlnet.gov/adlnews/Documents/News%20Archive/TheSCORMConformanceTestSuiteVersion 127SelfTestisAvailableforDownload.aspx
    2. If you have an LMS admin at your disposal, be sure to check with that person for deployment criteria when your content is installed on the LMS.  If YOU are that person, then you have some homework to do--because you're going to need to know how to run installation procedures and content checks on your training as recommended by the LMS software.
I've developed and deployed Presenter content on a variety of LMSs, and some have nastier quirks than others...so one solution may not fit every environment, but you have to keep checking!  I would also try reaching out to your LMS's tech support if possible.

  • Adobe Presenter Issues with Quiz

All quiz questions set as required, all included in 1 of 5 question groups, and when published, I get the message " There are unattempted questions in the quiz. Clicking on Yes will take you out of the quiz. Click on No to continue the quiz", even though I know I have completed (answered) all 20 questions but on the last question, the submit button doesn't forward the presentation to the final results page as it used to.  I have to click yes to get out of the quiz to view the slide with my test results, indicating I completed all 20.
so two issues:  1) why does it say unattempted questions when all have been attempted, and 2) why doesn't the submit button on the last question work to get out of the 5th  question group and onto the results slide??
I have since turned off the "unattempted questions" option as a work around.

Try changing the the quiz setting to Answer All instead of Required. That may help call out which question is causing the issue.
Beyond that, I feel like I would need to see the PPT slide deck to be able to give more insight. It may also be something that need to be looked at by Support.

  • Adobe Captivate 5 - Quiz stopping after leaving question slide to go backwards

I'm trying to force Captivate to do something I think it wasn't designed to do - Force the user to get 100% on a quiz. I've set the attempts to 'infinite' and customized the retry messages with little bits of information for the user. Currently, they can try the question as many times as they want until they get it correct but they cannot leave the slide even though there is a 'back' button available! I need them to be able to leave the question slide after attempting to answer the question, sort back through the information slides to learn the information, and return to the question slide to answer it correctly. The quiz stops entirely if you go backwards, then attempt to get back to the question slides.
Forcing them to retake the entire quiz is not an option as this will likely frustrate the user, especially as one of our presentations includes 100 questions. Even setting the failure levels to 3 is not good because eventually, someone will miss the question entirely and have to retake the quiz.
Any suggestions? Can this be done?
I have a short demo with all my settings if anyone wants to see it.

    Hello,
Yep, you are bumping onto the limitations of the current default Quizzes. If you allow multiple attempts on Question level, the user will not be able to leave the slide without exhausting those attemps or having a correct answer. If you allow multiple attempts on Quiz level, the Retake button will delete all answers and the user has to redo the whole quiz.
The only way I found was by creating my own question slides. I even succeeded in making Quiz Retake function only for incorrect answers. This is however a lot of work and when I read the amount of questions you are providing...

  • Quiz publishing in Adobe Presenter

    Hi there,
I am new to Adobe presenter, so still finding my way around.
is there a way, when publishing quizzes to remove the sidebar? I don't want them to have the ability to search or look at the notes.
    Thanks.

I have found the answer to this.
It is in theme and there is a tick box to enable side bar.

  • Is there a way I can randomize quiz questions in Adobe Captivate 6 on multiple attempts?

I am trying to find a way in Captivate 6 to randomize quiz questions out of a pool (i.e.; 50 random questions slides are linked to a pool containing 63 questions, I want to allow for 3 attempts).  Things work great witht he first attempt, but Captivate 6 is not generating new questions when I click the Retake Quiz button after failing the first attempt.  Captivate 6 simply gives the exact same 50 questions as the first attempt in the exact same order.  Is there any way around this issue in Captivate 6?  Thank you in advance for any suggestions you have!

Rod, just thinking out loud, and maybe this is too complex...
Could (generic) you insert multiple random-question-slides and then control which slide is viewed based on how many quiz attemps have been made?
    That is..
    Slide 1 - question 1a
    Slide 2 - question 1b
    Slide 3 - question 1c
On first attempt, go to slide 1, skip slide 2 and 3.  On second attempt, skip slide 1, go to slide 2, skip slide 3.  On third attempt, skip slides 1 and 2, go to slide 3.
Could you use the cpQuizInfoAttempts variable to control the slide order with an advanced action?
