Adobe Pro 11 and Safari do not mix well. Previos version lf Adobe worked fine in Safari and 10.9.

I cannot get my Adobe Pro11 to work in Safari. It does work in Fiorefox. Prior to Pro 11 install never had any PDF issues in Safari. After install, now get black screen and a note that says the adobe pdf veiwer cannot be found. This is poor software functionality in my opinion. I should not have to go into the library and modify anything. It should work. And if not, why wasn't that disclosed prior to me buyoing the program?

There are no files like that in that folder (com.apple.safari). They all have long numbers with .jpeg or .png at the end. That's what I meant by I cannot find any files like those mentioned in all the helps I read today. BTW-it's still crashing - no particular pattern to it at all.
The only two things I have downloaded recently is a new version of Flash and a Mac-driven update to Office.

Airdrop not detecting iphone 6 after updating Yosemite yesterday. Everything is on in mac and iPhone but not able to detecting each other. continuity works fine though.

Does anyone has same problem? i tried everything and also turn of firewall but no luck. Trying to transfer photo from iPhone 6 to mac using airdrop but can not detect device. both wifi and bluetooth are on as well.

Not sure if this will help but I had a similar issue with iTunes not locating my iPhone 5 IOS 8.0.2. The resolution for me (so it seems right now) was to 'forget' my network on both phone and macbook pro. I rejoined the networks, rebooted each and so far so good.

Firefox 4.0.1 and Windows 7 not mixing well. Since upgrading, FF is slow and hogs 40% of CPU. Ideas/help?

I did upgrade on an XP machine and FF runs fine, so must be a problem with Win 7.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.

Windows 8 BIOS and RAID do not mix well

I posted this in the Thinkpad forum, but posting it here also.
I downloaded and installed bios 2.03 for my W530 because of the Windows 8 support.
The bad news is that if you have raid enabled you will NOT be able to boot your system after updating the BIOS.
I hope Lenovo check this and issue a quick fix .... ????
The good news is that if you disable raid in the bios settings you will be able to boot off of a cd containing the previous version, 1.11 and restore things to working.

You did everything 'right' and yet in most cases such as you present, it turns out to be a bad SATA cable 99% of the time.
I, too, have a Late 2011 15" model and never had a problem with my SATA cable and my SSD. Most people don't. But then there are those few who do.
You can likely find a 'warrantied' cable on www.ifixit.com - however, I've never heard of anyone having problems with the much less expensive options on eBay!

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it rotates when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Webpage not displaying correctly in IE 7 - 8, works fine in FF and Chrome

I'm having a real headscratcher with this problem, I have only been partially involved in creating our new webpage, and the only problem left unsolved is this issue with Internet Explorer. I'm enclosing a screenshot of first Firefox and then IE 8.
As you can see the menu is shifted downwards, this problem seems to get worse on the following pages.

Try this and see if it gets you closer to what you need (html code AND css below). Copy all dump into a new file and save to your site folder. (make sure you make a back-up of your original file incase you need to revert to it.

Printing from web pages is excruciatingly slow with most recent upgrades of Firefox .Use an iMac and an HP officejet printer. Printer works fine with Safari and woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages.

The printer works fine with the Safari Browser and with woodprocessed files, but not with Firefox and web pages. Help please! It used to print fast with earlier versions of Firefox.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

Why are my photos i receive from iphoto and aperture such poor quality? On my iMac, they look fine, but when i get the pictures, they are awful. The color looks like there's a gray fog on them, and they're not focused well.

I use 2 great cameras, download them to iphoto, and now trying aperture. I edit the photos, they look fine, order pictures, and they are terrible! Looks like there's a gray haze on them, their dark, color is awful. Please help me out here!

What service are you using?
What is the color space of the image? If it is AdobeRGB, try using sRGB.

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.

I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these. Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update. I then sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that. I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.
