Adobe Pro 9.2 error merging large PDF's

When I try to merge then save large PDF it gives an error.  The computer is a new Win 7, Inetl Duel Core 3.2 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, brand new computer with only Kaspersky AV, Office 2010 and Adobe 9 Pro Trial installed.  It merges quite quickly for the file size, but when I try to save it, it gives the error above.  There are seven files I'm merging for a total of about 2.3 GB in size.  I have even turned off the Kaspersky AV and it still gives the error.  The documents does contain lots of photos.  Not sure what other info to give.
Thanks for any help

You dont happen to have a link on Adobe's site some where do you?  The person I'm trying to make this work for says they have seen 5 GB pdf docs.  They dont believe me, so I will have to prove it to them.
Thanks so much for the info.

    Hi all,
    I am using Adobe Pro 11 and on opening a pdf I am getting error 'Insufficient Data for an Image'. Please help and provide a workaround if the solution not there.
    I have already set the preferences to for page view to low zoom settings, and page fit view settings, but it never opens the pdf. Please check and provide a solution asap.
    Thanks in advance!

    Most of the documents have sensitive info on them.  I will have to do some looking for some that i can share, but will get something to upload (dropbox) as soon as I can.
    Thanks for you help.

  • Adobe Pro delete pages error. One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted.

    Adobe Pro delete pages error. One or more pages are in use and could not be deleted.
    Hi, can anyone assit. I am compiling a pdf by inserting several documents and am unable to delete specific pages. I have used this function on a previous Adobe Pro version but have a problem editing.

    I use this feature once a month to extract / delete some 200 pages from an 800 page file. I found the release notes for 10.1.4 stated that this issue was fixed. I updated my Acrobat to the 10.1.4 release and i was still having the problem. I finally fixed it by disabling the Win XP compatability feature that i had enabled in the properties of the Acrobat executable. I had enabled this feature a couple of months ago as a fix to this specific problem, now it's not necessary.
    Environ: Win 7 32-bit and Acrobat X, 10.1.4.

  • Installed Adobe Pro X now unable to convert PDF - Missing PDFMaker Files

    Hello,
    I installed the trial version of Adobe Pro X and now I am unable to convert a Microsoft Word.doc file to .pdf.  The error message is 'Missing PDFMaker Files.  Do you want to run the installer to repair mode?'  I ran the installer, twice, with the same resulting error message.  (Am currently using Windows XP Pro along with Microsoft 2003 - and will upgrade in the new year.)  I searched this issue, and found the following:
    To manage your Disabled Items list in a Microsoft Office application:
    Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
    Choose Help > About [the application name].
    Click Disabled Items.
    Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
    Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.
    However, there are no applications in the list, including Adobe.
    I also tried this:
    If the error message continues to appear after you enable Adobe PDF, check the security level for macros in Microsoft Word:
    Choose Tools > Macro > Security.
    In the Security dialog, click the Security tab.
    Choose Medium or High.
    Do one of the following:
    If you chose Medium, then click OK.
    If you chose High, then continue with steps 5 through 7.
    Click the Trusted Publishers tab.
    Check Trust all installed add-ins and templates.
    Click OK.
    And Adobe is already there, so no change here.
    I have uninstalled the trial version, deleted what visible remnants I could find, restarted the computer, installed the trial version again and am getting the same error message.
    Is there a solution to this problem?  Or, should I just return to my Adobe Pro 7?
    Thank you in advance!
    Laura

    I recently bought and installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro thinking that X Pro was compatable with Windows XP. I am unable to convert any Microsoft Office 2003 file into a PDF. I receive the same error message as above ( "Missing PDFMaker Files") and tried running it in repair mode as suggested. No change.
    I've tried this stuff:
    To manage your Disabled Items list in a Microsoft Office application:
    Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
    Choose Help > About [the application name].
    Click Disabled Items.
    Select Adobe PDF from the list, and then click Enable.
    Quit the Microsoft Office application, and then restart it.
    However, there are no applications in the list, including Adobe.
    I also tried this:

    If you chose High, then continue with steps 5 through 7.
    Click the Trusted Publishers tab.
    Check Trust all installed add-ins and templates.
    Click OK.
    But there is no change.

  • Network Error viewing large pdf

    I'm running into problems trying to use the Adobe Reader plugin for IE to view some large PDFs in the browser window. Apparently, the PDF fails to completely download to the browser. I've seen two slightly different behaviors:
    1) When IE tries to view one of these PDFs, it will display a Loading progress bar. Usually, the progress bar will just stop before getting too far. For example: "Loading 832.5 KB/16.91MB". Attempting to view the same file again will result in similar behavior - stopping at a different place on the progress bar. Repeating this will eventually result in IE displaying a page that indicates a connection problem: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
    2) Viewing the PDF in the browser will display the Loading progress bar, but before it completes, this message is displayed by Adobe Reader: "A network error occurred while accessing this document on the Internet. Would you like to close the document or reload it?"
    Clicking the reload button then yields this error: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.
    Repeating the view attempt a few times eventually gives the same general IE error page described in scenario 1.
    Scenario 1 seems to occur when the request is sent to a server that is sitting behind firewalls, load balancers, etc. The second condition happens when I'm using servers in the lab where there is nothing between my client and the server, other than a switch.
    This only occurs when using HTTPS. If configure the server to use HTTP, then the PDF will always be viewed. This has restricted my ability to watch the traffic between the client and the server with a packet analyzer.
    This only occurs with the IE plugin. Using Chrome and Firefox with the Adobe Reader plugin works every time.
    It only seems to be occurring on large PDF files: the files I've been working with are all 10MB or larger.
    I tried disabling the "fast web view" option in Adobe Reader, but this didn't seem to have any effect on the problem.
    I disabled the option to display a PDF file in the browser window, and then the PDF file will be downloaded and opened properly in the Adobe Reader application. So it only happens with the PDF is displayed in the browser window.
    I've been running my tests using IE 9 (9.0.8112.16421) and Reader plugin 10.1.3, but I've had reports from customers of similar behavior from earlier versions of the browser and reader. The web server is IIS 7.
    I found several PDFs on the internet with which I've duplicated the problem. Here's an example PDF file that shows this problem.
    http://www.nbb.be/DOC/BA/PDF7MB/2010/201009400082_2.PDF
    There are many other similar sized files at this site:
    http://www.nbb.be/pub/03_00_00_00_00/03_02_00_00_00/03_02_04_00_00.htm?l=en
    many of which will also reproduce the error. However, because the problem only happens when going over HTTPS, I had to download the files and import them into my system which uses HTTPS to see the problem.
    Any help would be appreciated. I'm not sure what to look at next.

    There are several resources that show how this is done. See here for an example: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/46c5ddfy(v=vs.100).aspx
    I've added an entry into web.config to identify the presence of a custom handler:
    <system.webServer>
      <handlers>
        <add name="PDFHandler" verb="*" path="*.pdf" type="PDFHttpHandler" />
      </handlers>
    </system.webServer>
    Then in our application code I defined a new class :
    Public Class PDFHttpHandler
    Implements IHttpHandler
    Public ReadOnly Property IsReusable() As Boolean Implements System.Web.IHttpHandler.IsReusable
      Get
        Return False
      End Get
    End Property
    Public Sub ProcessRequest(ByVal context As HttpContext) Implements System.Web.IHttpHandler.ProcessRequest
      Select Case context.Request.HttpMethod
        Case "GET"
          If file.exists(context.Server.MapPath(context.Request.FilePath)) Then
            Dim requestedFile As String = context.Server.MapPath(context.Request.FilePath)
            SendContentTypeAndFile(context, requestedFile)
          Else
            context.response.statuscode = 404
          End If
        Case Else
          context.response.statuscode = 404
      End Select
    End Sub
    Private Function SendContentTypeAndFile(ByVal context As HttpContext, ByVal strFile As String) As HttpContext
              context.Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"
              context.Response.AppendHeader("Accept-Ranges","none")
              ' The web.config file sets the "x-ua-compatible" header to "ie=edge". This has an unfortunate side
              ' effect of casuing problems when we use IE to view PDF files.
              ' So for PDF files, we will try to override that header value.
              context.Response.AppendHeader("X-UA-Compatible", "")
      context.Response.TransmitFile(strFile)
      context.Response.end()
      Return context
    End Function
    End Class

  • Using Adobe Pro X I cannot create a PDF from a web page.

    After a recent upgrade from a previous version of Firefox, I am now unable to create a PDF from a web page using the Adobe Pro toolbar on the web page.  A "save as" box appears and then the conversion process dies.  I can print the page using Adobe Pro as my printer and it works fine. I can create other docs with Adobe Pro.   How do I fix this on my browser?
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Pro Free Trial - Error message #0

    Error #0 - what does it mean - trying to download Adobe Pro trial

    I am not familiar with error 0, but you might try a couple of things to get around it.
    The first would  be to try using a different browser.
    The next would be to try downloading the trial version of the software thru the site linked below.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • How do I virtualize Adobe Pro XI without error:16 ?

    I have installed and virtualised Adobe Pro XI enterprise licensed edition successfully and can get it to work on one machine. When it is deployed to additional machines it gives error:16 - please uninstall and re-install.

    Microsoft App-V isn't a supported environment for Adobe Acrobat.  Only Adobe Reader 11.0.1 and greater are supported on Microsoft App-V.  I believe this is because of the whole lack of support for Virtual Printer Devices in the App-V environment.
    I don't see Symantec SWV listed anywhere in the ETK as being a supported environment.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/index.html
    Only Citrix and Windows Terminal Services are currently supported for Adobe Acrobat.

  • Adobe Pro 8 Runtime Error

    This has been hit on in other threads, but I still have not found an answer to my issue.  Whenever I run Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro from the Start menu, or double click on a .pdf file I get the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error, runtime Error.  This is on a standalone laptop with the following software loaded:  Windows XP SP3, Office 2007, Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server Express 2005, and MySQL.  I mention these because I have seen these packages mentioned in other posts.  Since it is a standalone laptop, no roaming profiles.  The main issue is that Acrobat Pro 8 runs in the administrator account, and other user accounts.  It will not run in my account.  I have read that creating a new account and trying it shows it to be a user issue and not a system wide issue, but I could not find anything about how to repair a damaged user account.  Also, from my account if I use "run as" and any other account on the system, it works.  This is OK to run the program, but this is not available to double click on a .pdf file.  Any help on what to delete, move, rename, etc in the damaged account would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    OK, I did some more reading, and after systematically renaming the plugins, I
    found that the file ADTACROBAT.api was my problem.  I added a .old to the file and now Acrobat works!
    Not sure what it is, but I really hope it's not important.

  • Adobe Pro 11 install error 1303

    When trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 on my Windows 8 laptop I keep getting Error Code 1303, which says I need to be an administrator, but I am the only user on the laptop and I AM the administrator!  Help!!!

    Thanks.  I did and I am. (I'm the only user on the computer.). Finally
    managed to get it to install but it doesn't work. Decided it's not worth
    the hassle and I'm just gonna go with the online converter for the laptop.
