Adobe pro 9.2 export to doc causes word to freeze

I have a PDF that I need to convert back to a word document. I have Adobe Professional 9.2 running on Windows XP Pro SP3. I open the PDF, export it to a Word Document. Adobe goes through all 42 pages. I try to open the resulting doc file in Word 2003 SP3, I only get the first 18 pages and word freezes at page 16. Word won't do anything. page 16 is just like the other pages. I have to open task manager and kill winword.exe. I have tried changing the various export settings and every combination I have tried causes word to freeze. What is wrong?

The only practical way to add them is to just add the pages. It sounds like you are trying to edit in Acrobat that is a bear of a problem. It is not an editor and the editing features should only be used as a last resort. You really should get the original documents and combine those, then make a new PDF. Another possibility is to save to WORD, text, or other format, combine the files, then create another PDF. Of course, you may likely lose formating and stuff when you save to WORD. Think of a PDF as a paper document (that kind of final form) and you have the idea. When we used to do this with typing, it meant that a whole page would have to be modified as a minimum.

I have just downloaded the 30 day trial version of Reader Xi pro - tried to save a doc to Word in a cloud but now I have to pay to view it - I am happy to pay but want to see if it works - is there another way?

I have a set of long typed documents in pdf format. It would be really helpful to save the whole document to Word and then be able to break it up into different sections and save separately. I thought the 30 day free trial would allow me to do everything the program could do for free - but I cant seem to be able to view any files that have been uploaded to a cloud unless I pay for them. Make sure you use the product you intend to use; on Windows right-click on a PDF, then select
open with Adobe Reader XI
edit with Adobe Acrobat XI
With Adobe Reader you can save PDF documents as text.
With Adobe Acrobat you can save PDF documents as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, HTML docs, etc.

Adobe Pro 6.0 no longer works with Word 2003

As an Archivist/Librarian I need Classical Greek and Hebrew keyboards and fonts. The combination of Adobe PRO 6.0, Windows 2003 and XP and some specialized maco's provided that. This has worked until a few months back.
PDFMaker.dot was copied to WORD/STARTUP as per installation instruction. It still works for EXCEL but no longer for WORD.
I hate to use other PDF creation facilities as they do not work as good as Adobe.

The 6.5 update isn't stable on 10.4.6 either. I finally gave up and got Squeeze 4.3 from Sorenson Media. It works just fine and the quality is great.

Exporting a doc as word document

If it's a PDF document then you would need a third-party utility that can convert PDFs to text. You can look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
If it's some other filetype then unless you tell us what the filetype is we have no way of knowing if it can be opened in Word. Perhaps you could provide us an example link to an article you have a problem with.

Adobe Pro X not recognizing .doc or .docx files for conversion to PDF (looking to batch convert Word-- PDF

I am using Adobe Pro X through my university and when I click on add files, it will not recognize that I have word files in my folders. My purpose is to batch convert many word files to PDF, however, if Adobe Pro X won't recognize allow the word files to appear, I don't think I can convert them. Help is appreciated!

Do you have Word installed?
Is it a compatible version of Word?
Does the Acrobat menu or ribbon appear in Word?

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Glitchy Export!

I export from Premiere Pro and the export comes out all glitchy! I have no idea why. Also the export plays back fine in Priemere. This video will explain everything a whole lot better.

I have researched this FOREVER with NO LUCK AT ALL!! This has happened once before, but then it stopped. Now all of a sudden it is doing it again. I have exported multiple times with the same result. I have even tried restarting my computer and then exporting, but no luck either. This is very frustrating and any help/support would be GREATLY appreciated.

The online Adobe account you are referring to, is it Acrobat.com cloud?
You need to purchase a subscription for PDF Pack and then sign in to : https://cloud.acrobat.com/
Select the files saved in 'Acrobat.com' and then click on the 'Create pdf' tab to convert the selected doc files to pdf.
Alternatively you can download the .doc file from the online account and use Adobe Acrobat to convert it to pdf.

Export Command To Create FDF, In Adobe Pro 8

I can't seem to find the export command to create a fdf in adobe pro 8. It works in adobe pro 6 when using the 'Execute a menu item' command.
I can import fdf information within a JavaScript using the following code:

Is there a JavaScript that I can use to export fdf information similar to the code in the above line?

If the document is not a scanned image or protected from editing then you should be able to edit it. I would have to guess you have a scan and when you converted to Word, you ran OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on it converting the scanned image to live text.

What I read in the PDF version of the manual (while I was waiting for my plane this afternoon), it seems pretty comprehensive. I was particularly interested in what it had to say about creating your own templates.
Supposedly, it will remember if I left invisibles showing in templates (one of my big complaints with Pages 1). I'll find out soon enough. I must say that opening my two documents I use for answering posts here in discussions sure did open faster & navigating an 11-page table was much faster.
Another good thing I noticed, the font used for the serial number is much clearer & there were no confusing characters - O/0, S/5, etc.

There never was a trial version of FCP7. The application was only ever sold as part of the Final Cut Studio suite of applications. You might still find copies on eBay.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 PDF docs print differently to different printers

I have a a saved PDF file.(it was created in FileMaker).
It looks perfect on screen. It has a signature line____________ date_________ at the bottom of the page.
When I send to our color printer, the signature line moves up to the middle of the page, which is where the text info ends.
When I send to my black and white printer, the signature line remains at the bottom of the page where it belongs.
I have also resent the same pdf to 2 other printers, 1 black and white, and 1 color, and it prints correctly.
So basically, 3 out of 4 printers print correctly.
I have contacted out IT department and was told it was an Adobe problem and not a color printer driver problem.
I don't understand that part of it.
Why would a pdf move information around based on the printer it is sent to?
Any suggestions?
Is is an Adobe setting for that color printer or is it the printers problem?

I have now checked other people in my departments Adobe versions.
I have Adobe Pro V9.0.0, and does not print correctly.
1 person has Adobe XI Pro and prints correctly.
1 person has Adobe Pro 9.5.5 and prints correctly.
1 person has Adobe Pro V9.0.0 and does not print correctly
I have now installed the available upgrades which only took me to 9.2.0 and still prints incorrectly.
I wil try and find the other updates and see if that helps.

Using adobe pro 9 to move photos out of jpeg into a word doc and keeping name of file as well

I had an issue at work today and I wanted to move 300 jpeg photos into word. The file became very large and I query whether adobe pro 9 can reduce size of the picture and also the size of the file before putting it into word. I also wanted the name of the file to appear.

Sorry I may not have been clear. With adobe pro 9 there is a function to combine files which is what I did. I selected all the jpegs right hand click to convert to adobe (in windows). This was sufficient for my purpose but I wanted the name of the file to also appear on each of the jpeg files. I heard it is possible.
