Adobe Pro X Firefox Extension

I see that Adobe Pro X came with an Internet Explorer extension that allows you to create PDFs from websites. However, I use Firefox as my primary browser. Is there an equivalent extension from Adobe for Firefox?
Thanks.

In the latest versions of FF you  drop the button onto the toolbar. Right-click the Firefox toolbar and choose Customize, then add the Acrobat "Convert" button by dragging it to where you want it to appear. If it's not listed, check the Firefox add-ons to see if it's been disabled (Tools > Add-ons).

  • The Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.0 extension/Firefox extension indicates it is not compatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  Where could I obtain a more up to date extension for Acrobat X Pro 10.0?

Hi - I am running Acrobat X Pro 10.0.0 on my Windows XP Pro SP 3 (32-bit) laptop and Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.  When I check the add-ons manager of Firefox I am receiving notication that the Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF 1.0 extension is incompatible with Firefox 24.6.0 ESR.
Is it possible to obtain a more up to date Acrobat X Pro - Create PDF extension please?
    Thank you and kind regards.

Many updates to 10.0.0 are available, so this is the first thing to try. I don't know if it will help, but there are vital security fixes there too.

  • Cannot install Firefox extension for Contribute 4

I'm trying out Contribute 4 and right away during
installation there's a bomb: The installer tells me:
    Unavailable Components
These components cannot be installed on your systemat the
    current time
    Contribute Extension for Mozilla Firefox
Version Required: Mozilla Firefox Version 1.0 or later
Version Installed: Mozilla Firefox must have been launched
    at least once
The same thing happeneds when, after the original Contribute
installation, I tried to use the Add/Remove Programs control panel
to Modify the Contribute installation so as to install the Firefox
    extension.
I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.8. Needless to say, I HAVE launched
Firefox "at least once", indeed, many, many times.
What could the problem be and how is it fixed???

for you (IT tech) and because
the 'extensions' folder inside Firefox App has only Read-Only
access for the users other than the one who has installed Firefox.
Another place to check is whether Mozilla Firefox is installed in
the default location c:\program files\. directory.
If you can confirm that you have admin rights and installed
both FF and Contribute 4 and it is located in the default
    directories, just post back.

I have admin rights for the account ("Administrator") on
which I installed both Firefox and Contribute 4. However, neither
is in the default location, as I NEVER install ANYTHING in
C:\Program Files. (This is to make the whole system more granular
for backup purposes.) All my programs (except recalcitrant ones
from Microsoft) go into subject-area subdirectories of lanother
    ogical drive.
And data goes onto yet another logical drive, with most going
into a Documents directory there (which has been designated as what
Windows XP brings up as Documents). Under that Documents I have my
Firefox profile, inside that, the Firefox extensions.
So I'm certainly suspecting now that Contribute 4, unlike
other programs, did not attempt to handle non-default installations
of Firefox (or possibly even of Contribute 4)!

  • I have Adobe Pro 9 and I can't insert pages into a PDF created by Adobe Pro 8

I've looked at the other discussions about not being able to insert pages into a PDF, and tried all the suggestions, but to no avail. I think the problem is that the original PDF was created in Adobe 8, and I have Adobe 9. When I open the PDF in Adobe Pro 9, the security screen says that editing is not allowed, and the screen is greyed out so that I can't change the settings. When I open the same PDF in Adobe Pro 8, the security screen says "No Security".
I also checked the "Documents" screen in Edit -> Preferences, and changing the "View Documents in PDF/A" to Never doesn't help.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

That would be a question for Adobe support. Firefox does advise users when their Acrobat plugin is out of date, but the actual update is done by Adobe.

  • Using Adobe Pro X I cannot create a PDF from a web page.

After a recent upgrade from a previous version of Firefox, I am now unable to create a PDF from a web page using the Adobe Pro toolbar on the web page.  A "save as" box appears and then the conversion process dies.  I can print the page using Adobe Pro as my printer and it works fine. I can create other docs with Adobe Pro.   How do I fix this on my browser?
    Thanks.

  • Uninstall adobe pro 9.

I have adobe pro 9 & 11 installed.  9 installed fine but 11 wasn't a smooth transition.  Both seemed to work until yesterday.  Suddenly I could no longer open a PDF file through either Firefox or Safari.  Firefox has also crashed on me a few times.  I've also started having a problem with ML crashing, causing an automatic reboot.  For 9, the uninstaller is damaged and doesn't work.
I'm not sure if 9 & 11 are having a conflict with each other?   How do I completely remove 9 from my system?  I do have the uninstaller for 11.
    Thanks

It worked but all for not.  It turns out all the crashing was a delay to my HD failing.
I tried to reinstall but the download would never take.  It would get down to 10 minutes then back up to 2 hours. Then I  erased the HD and restored from before the problem started.  Worked for a few minutes then, Mac Mini turned off and won't turn on.  Loaded up dusk utility and dud a verify that showed errors.  Disk repair can't repair the disk.

  • Lifecycle form (pdf) reader extended though adobe pro will not email though adobe reader

I have windows 7, adobe pro X and adobe reader X, and thunderbird 9.01 email client.
I have a PDF form (created in lifecycle 9.0.0.2_) that is complete and is reader extended though adobe pro x.
It will send the email correctly in abobe pro x, it opens all the correct windows etc and sends, and I receive the filled out PDF form.
When I open the form in adobe reader X it opens the correct window as before, but never sends the email.
Can any one here be of some help.
    Thanks
    Steve

As I understand your post, you have the form from Designer that you added Reader Extensions in Acrobat Pro X. With Acrobat, the e-mail submission works fine, but with Reader, the e-mail is not sent and no error messages are given.
I am not sure if the Reader Extensions need to be done from Designer or Acrobat. That is the only issue that I can think of, but did not think it was an issue. I am not a Designer user and so it may be hard to tell. You might need to ask in the LiveCycle forum for Designer.

  • Transition from my firefox extension to a Flash Builder desktop app

Trying to make a slow transistion from my firefox extension to a Flash Builder desktop app.
Okay i'm not familiar on how to go about this I have js code that lets my app sync it self with the lates build it looks for a new version number which is in a txt file. Inside the txt file I have 0.0.0 so evertime I change the version number to 0.0.1. Have you taken a look at the documentation on updating AIR applications?
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappsflex/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ff2. html
Or is it something else you wish to do? You can access the directory where your app is installed by looking at File.applicationDirectory and you can hit a URL by using URLRequest.

  • Where is the XPI file for the Contribute 4 Firefox Extension?

I'm trying to figure out how to install the Firefox extension
for Contribute 4 without uninstalling/reinstalling the software.
Evaluating C4 on a PPC Mac. All I need to know is this:
Where can I find the XPI file?
I skipped the extension install step because it includes the
ridiculous requirement that the person installing it drill down
into the some vaguely specified child folder of the Firefox profile
folder. Now I discover that Adobe doesn't actually make the
extension available for install unless you're also simultaneously
    installing the software itself.
All we need is the XPI. Tell us where the XPI is, and
Firefox will install it for us. That would actually be easier than
using the Contribute installer to do it. Adobe's installer
development team should take a look at the very simple way that
other blogging tools do their extension installation. (Hint: All
    you need to do is
    load a URL.)

  • Adobe Pro 10 fillable forms on my website not so great now on different browsers...?

Why do my Adobe Pro 10 fillable forms on my website work great in Explorer and Chrome and when downloaded but do not open in Mac, Windows 8, and look funny in Firefox?

And sad thing is the adobe PDF Plugin doesn't work on Mac in which you can view, Print and fillout through any browsers, be it : Chrome, FF, SeaMonkey, Opera, Maxthon, Safari, OmniWeb, iCab.  Even PDF Browser Plugin by Schubert of Germany doesn't work well and may not even work with Yosemite. The Adobe plugin hasn't  worked with Mac in ages. And I've continually requested that it be fixed. And last time I received a nasty note from Adobe saying they had no intention of ever fixing it. That they would rather concentrate on new features than fixing any bugs that crop up.

  • I am having to reinstall Adobe Pro because of a hard drive failure. I have lost the License Key and need to know how to retrieve it so I can reinstall the product.

How do I retrieve the Adobe Pro License key/# so I can reinstall on my computer. I had to have the hard drive replaced due to failure and don't have the necessary information to reinstall Adobe Pro.

As this was a 1,000 USD + purchase I did registered back in 2008 when I got my copy of "Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium". And now I'm in the same situation as you. I did go to manage my account and found my serial number.
My disk crashed completely and I got everything back and running from my Time Machine backup. A few days ago Illustrator said there was a licensing issue. I tried all their gradual solutions up to the very last one: Reinstalling.
I did that and inserted the Serial number; it worked. Now that I'm opening the Adobe Acrobat Pro it requires me to input the serial and it says is invalid!
Anyone has an idea about this?

  • How to install Adobe Pro through GPO?

I currently install several pieces of software for our users through Group Policy, and would like to do the same with Adobe Pro for specific computers.  I created a AD group that has the machines I want Adobe installed.  I have the install files, and our license key, and ran msiexec /a AcroPro.msi and picked a folder to store the install too.
But when I boot up one of these machines, it "seems" like it goes through the process, but when I log in, I don't see any evidence that Acrobat Pro has been installed.
I've noticed that if I run the MSI manually it asks me which program should be default, Reader or Pro...... is this causing a problem when installing through the GPO?
What's the best way to proceed with this?????  I went through the procedures listed http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/gpo_ad_9.pdf but am still having problems.....
    Thanks.

The cause of problem is something else.
If you have reader installed on your machine and then if you deploy Acrobat via GPO then Acrobat would get installed and also become the default application for viewing PDF files.
How are you specifying the serial number while deploying via GPO?
