Re: Problems Running Adobe Pro 11 - error 16
Hej,
neither Adobe's solution (Configuration error 16 | CC, CS) nor the above modification by Nate worked for me under Mac OS 10.9. I recently updated to Mac OS 10.10 and the error still appears
Adobe Reader Pro 11 always crashes after a minute:
"Configuration error
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
Error: 16
http://www.adobe.com/support/"
What can I do?
RegardsNavigate to MAC HD/Library/Application Support
right click on Adobe folder and select get info
Under sharing and permission Click on lock and unlock it
Click on + add your current user name and administrator if not added
Then give Read and Write permission for Admin, system, everyone and (your user name)
Click on gear icon and choose apply to enclosed item
Then Click on Lock
Lunch Acrobat and check. -
i have windows 8 and i installed CS6 and adobe pro had errors while installing not sure what to do next since i need this app asap.
I assume you mean Acrobat Pro, there is no program Adobe (company name). Which version of Pro do you have? I believe that AA XI is the only package certified for Win8, but as usual there are folks trying other versions on the new system also. I don't remember the results for most, but I believe AA X works. I am not sure success with any earlier versions has been reported. Of course, your Win8 is most likely a 64-bit system (most are that are being sold now).
It also helps to know what errors. Just saying errors tell us nothing. What were the error messages that you got. It is a good idea to do screen captures of such messages for posting when you do have these problems.
So, what version & sub version, like Acrobat 11.0.04. -
I have a version Adobe pro 7.1, my old computer hard drive failed, tried to install on my Windows 8.1, will not start up get error message? any solutions? It worked perfectly fine on my old computer which was windows 7.0
Hey,
I am sorry but Acrobat 7 is not at all compatible with Windows 8. For this, you will need to upgrade your Adobe Acrobat version.
For better understanding, please refer this kb file:

To resolve this, go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and remove AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

Epson Stylus Pro 9800 errors on 32-bit Windows 7 with Adobe CS4
Epson Stylus Pro 9800 errors on 32-bit Windows 7 with Adobe CS4
Question: We are experiencing some major errors with printing to our Epson Stylus 9800 Pro. Some of our large files are spooling about 16K, then crashing Photoshop. Sometimes we are getting partial prints (the left most 3-4 inches of print, or the file starting to print about 1/2 way into the file itself), sometimes it just spools for a few minutes, then stops, with nothing coming from the printer at all.
At Epson's request, we have tried the following:
reinstalling Windows 7 print driver
Reinstalling Adobe CS 4
Installed NEW NIC in printer
Installed new network line to printer
Installed new main board on printer
Printed from a PC directly connected to printer via USB and crossover cable
This issue is very bizarre in that it is random and sporatic. Same file will cause one of the above errors, then, another attempt to print same file will be successful. We have several Windows 7 machines that get the issue, while several Windows XP machines are fine. Epson instructed us to install the newest (win7) driver on the XP machines, issue then affects XP machines. Uninstalling new driver and re-installing old driver on XP machines resolves issue on XP machines.
Is this an issue with the Epson driver? CS4 on Windows 7? Or some other malady?

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Reinstallation Errors
My hard drive crashed on my computer (replaced with new one) and I had to reinstall my Adobe CS5 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. All of CS5 reinstalled fine. However, everytime I reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, it errors every time. It will install, but whenever you open the program, it immediately stops working and errors out saying Adobe Acrobat 9.3 stopped working. Windows cannot find a solution and then closes.
It never gives me the chance to enter my product key or register the product. I went to the Adobe Product page and tried downloading and installing all the updates, but nothing works. No matter what I do it closes right away. Any ideas?
My PC is on Windows 7 - I had to initially install Acrobat on this PC when I got it a year or so ago and it worked fine. Not sure what's changed.
Thanks.I just tried reinstalling it - again, it wasnt giving me the option to register it or anything. Would close the minute I opened Acrobat.
So I opened the Acrobat Distiller that installed with Acrobat and that asked me to accept the agreement and register the product. Once I did that - Acrobat started working again! -
Adobe Pro 8.0 Crashing. Error shBadNewsComing
My Adobe Pro 8.0 continues to crash. There is a long error message associated with that which I will post at the end of the message. I uninstalled and reinstalled along with some other associated programs apparently. I'm now getting a message saying shBadNewsComing saying that shAuthenticationFailed with the Adobe symbol on it. My Adobe continue to fail and the online customer service representative would not help me resolve the issue as my version was "too old."
I'm constantly getting this message:

when i try downloading adobe pro i am getting an error message that is saying: The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
Hi Kashmore,
Seems like the downloaded file was corrupt that could be because of either network restriction or the anti virus might have blocked it. My suggestion would be to try and download the product either by turning off the Antivirus or try a different network.
Cheers,

Please help! I uninstalled the corrupt version X before this installation attempt.
I also still have Acrobat Pro 9 on my machine as backup (for this precise reason) but don't believe this is the problem as they have co-existed without a problem for near a month now. The corruption in version X occured after this morning's failed update from Adobe.
Many thanks,
KThank you! That did indeed do the trick
Must have been a font or something causing the problems, as opening in safe mode allowed the software to install correctly.
Thanks again!!

Trying to open a large PDF and receive "an internal error occurred" with Adobe Pro. X
Hello,
We have one user, she has Adobe Pro. X installed, that is having an issue opening a particular PDF that is 37 MBs in size. When she tries to open it up, she receives the "an internal error occurred" message. If she opens up another PDF that is in the same folder (all the PDFs is on the network share) that is smaller in size (less than 100 KB) it opens just fine. I checked for any Adobe updates and downloaded and installed the update(s) that it found.
After it's been patched, I rebooted and still have the same issue. Surprisingly nothing was found in my searches to help this....
Thoughts?Hi screener333,
Did you get any errors during Acrobat installation?
If Acrobat is crashing during first launch then it might be an issue with licensing as well.
Please check the performance by enbaling the root user account on Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528
