Adobe Production Premium

Hey everybody,
despite the release of Creative Cloud, my father got me Production Premium CS6 (apparently cause it was easier for him, but idk).
Anyways, I'm heading off to college soon hoping to major in film. I hit a roadblock however, when my laptop crashed a month ago; the problem was that it couldn't handle the data of Premiere Pro (though it was only the trial version). That said, I'm getting a new laptop but I'm not sure if it can withstand PPCS6 when my old one got destroyed trying to handle just one of its programs. And with getting a desktop out of my hands, my friend says just get a bunch of external hard drives. But is there any alternative solution? And if not, how many external hard drives do I need and what exactly am I supposed to do?

you shouldn't need any external hard drives.
as long as your new computer meets the tech specs (http://www.adobe.com/il_en/products/creativesuite/production/tech-specs.html), you should be good.

I have the same suspicions as Szalam.  This Photoshop file was probably made in the creative cloud version.  You need to get one backsaved to CS6.  The backsave shouldn't be a problem.

The individual file has become corrupted somehow.
Happens often to users who work across a network, opening or saving a Photoshop image file to a server.
You're going to have to resort to your backup.
This is the boilerplate text often used in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/406/kb406793.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.

  • Adobe Production Premium CS6 on Mac?

    Hello,
I am preparing to make the switch to Mac from my current Windows platform, and I have been doing some research. I found under the system requirements for Adobe Production Premium CS6 that:
    Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7
So does this mean that my package will not work on the new OS X 9, Mavericks and eventually Yosemite? Or is this just a lack of updates on Adobe's website?

    Thanks much,
    Jack Reynolds

They are minimum requirements, not absolutes.

  • Adobe Production Premium CS3 does not support MXF files

My computer crashed the other day and I had to install Adobe Production Premium CS3 on another computer. I noticed when I tried to start a new project there was not an option under Presets for DVCPROHD and when I tried to import my files with Bridge I get an error message stating "File Format Not Supported". What can I do to resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Shaun

    Here's what one guy wrote in another forum;
    >"ON THE SONY 6 foot plasma - the HVX200a stood out with apparently nicer colors, a more filmic look in general with it's 24p motion characteristics that have made it famous, and no artifacting that I could see. Again this was on the 6 foot Sony plasma. The EX1, while looking stunningly sharper than the hvx200a at first glance, is a mess of a camera with all sorts of issues that I really don't understand how anyone deals with. Perhaps I am a complete nut job or I had a broken EX1. I thought people were being overbearing and overexagerated with the rolling shutter, long GOP, and jellovision stories that I have read online, but it really is a serious problem. Now at first glance - on slow cuts and pans - the EX1 image seems to slam dunk the HVX except for some strange look of resolution loss or detail loss that appears to happen right after you start moving the camera for the pan - but the EX1 is so sharp that when it losses its detail (perhaps the codec lowering detail to avoid artifacts...although that of itself IS an artifact) it looks more similar to the HVX200a footage, but on fast whips and very fast handheld stuff I saw all sorts of issues and weird skews and slants that there is no way I could deal with. Philip Bloom may have some amazing images but they are all locked down and I don't do locked all the time down so this camera is out."

  • Mac Pro - Final Cut Studio 2 - Adobe Production Premium - NO FLASH PLAYING!

I recently purchased a Mac Pro with Leopard, Final Cut Studio 2, and Adobe Production Premium suite. I got everything setup yesterday, and I exported a Quicktime reference file from Final Cut, and brought it into Flash CS3 Media Encoder. The file seemed to encode fine, but when I try to open it, it shows that the Flash Player opens, but the video never actually opens. I also tired to import the FLV file into Flash Pro, and it acts as though it imports, but it does let me preview it. The ONLY thing that I think could have caused a problem is that I also have Sorenson Squeeze installed, which has its own On2 VP6 encoder. Again, this may have nothing to do with it since I copied the file to another Mac machine that did not have Sorenson on it, and downloaded the standalone Flash Player, and it acted the same. Any ideas on why FLV files would not play back would be greatly appreciated. I have ALL updates installed for OS X Leopard, as well as the CS3 collection. Thanks in advance.

After downloading an FLV player, and realizing that Adobe Flash Player will not work, all is swimming.

  • Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 and upgrades

I already own the Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 which includes Premiere 5.5. Today I bought the upgrade from Premiere 5.5. to Premiere CS6. But this requires to type in the serial of Premiere 5.5.. But I only have the serial for the Production Suite and the installation of Premiere CS6 is not possible. What can I do?

You have to upgrade like items, a suite is not the same as an individual application.  Your only hope is going to be to talk to Adobe customer support directly to see if they will allow special consideration for your case.  Otherwise you will need to return the purchase and purchase the CS6 version of the same software you are upgrading from (Production Premium) rather than individual applications within the suite.

  • Adobe production premium download

    Hello Adobe,
I purchased Adobe Production Premium 2 years ago and just got my Mac wiped clean and need to re-download Adobe Production Premium. Everyone says it should be under "My Orders" but it only lists the serial # and no options anywhere what so ever to download it. I also cannot find any of the CS6 products to download, otherwise I would just download them all again individually. I was wondering if anyone could help?
    Thanks so much.

  • Will my Acer Aspire perform fine with Adobe Production Premium CS6?

I have an Acer Aspire and wanted to know if it will perform fine with Adobe Production Premium?
    Intel Pentium T4500
    Intel GMA 4500MHD
    4 GB DDR3 Memory
    500 GB HDD
    Windows 7

That laptop of yours is far too weak for the type of video that you'll be editing. In fact, if a fast PC takes an hour (or a fast laptop takes three to four hours) for a given AVCHD content, your laptop may very well take all of three days (72 hours) to render that same amount of that same video. An analogy to this would be driving a beat-up old jalopy whose transmission is permanently stuck in first gear on a road that's designed to be used by modern high-performance sports sedans.
And in my experience, no dual-core CPU-based PC - not even a desktop - performs as fast in Premiere as even a quad-core CPU-based PC of merely average performance. In fact, my Core i3-2100-based desktop PC, though it was the fastest of all PCs with dual-core CPUs in the PPBM5 results list, is still outperformed by several laptops with quad-core CPUs.
Other bad points: The built-in screen has too low of a resolution to display the Premiere Pro interface properly. Some vital portions of the interface will be cut off, with absolutely no way at all whatsoever to retrieve this cut-off portion. This is because your display has a vertical resolution of only 768 pixels. Premiere Pro requires a minimum vertical display resolution of at least 900 pixels and a horizontal display resolution of at least 1280 pixels just to properly display the UI.

  • Adobe Production Premium CS5 Download

I'm trying to find Adobe Production Premium CS5 in the download section but it seems that it's all replaced with CS5.5. I bought 5 licenses from a vendor last year, and lost my disks.  Where can I get CS5??

You better contact Adobe to see whats possible. In the worst case scenario you have to buy an upgrade to CS5.5. What kind of license do you have? Is it retail or AVL...

It was for Adobe Creative Suite 4 - which is what you asked about.

  • Re-Installing Adobe Production Premium

    Hello
I've recently purchased a new computer and would like to download my copy of Adobe Production Premium on it.
However, the serial number is there, but the Download option doesn't appear on the 'Plans & Products' page.  Instead there
is a message typed in red: We are unable to load all your plans & products.  Please try again.
I am in desperate need to continue a project with a deadline approaching.
    Can you please advise.
    Kind Regards
    Karl.

I assume you are talking about CS6. Read the instructions otherwise you wont be able to download.

  • Encounter Installation problem with trial Adobe Production Premium CS5

When installing the trial version of Adobe production premium CS5 it fails to Install Adobe premiere CS5 and AE. The remaining applications in the suite are all installed.
I have followed all the suggestions from Adobe's site, and finally contacted their Tech Support, who could not resolve the issue sofar.
I have run their AdobeSupportAdvisor and it displays:cpsid_83570: Conflicting processes running while installing - Creative Suite 5
    I am running MAC OS 10.6.6 64 bit .
Hope someone can assist me with this.
    Thanks.

    I really appreciate your suggestions.
It took several attempts by the Adobe Technical support on an escalating level, including once a 6 hour telephone connection to have it resolved.
The last tech that finally resolved it took only two hours.
I already had Lightroom (ver 3.0, 64 bit) and Photoshop CS5(64 bit) individually installed with a legitimate license.
We had to clean out anything related to "Adobe", i.e. delete, uninstall, etc. Create another administrative account, then install the Production Suite(trial version) in Safe Mode.
The frustrating part was that every time I called back on the case, I had to answer the same questions regarding my operating system, like if I called in for the first time! I even had a slight argument with one Tech, who questioned the Graphics card. I purchased the IMAC just before Christmas (Snowleopard, 64 bit, 8 gigs of RAM, etc).
The developers at Adobe should make a better effort to make installations smoother. It was like a nightmare trying to install the software. I wanted to make sure that the software installed properly before I actually paid for it, and I nearly gave up on it after dealing with their tech support for a little over a week.
Hope that no one else has to go through the ordeal I went through.
    Frank.
As a final note, when I initially installed the software,  all components of the Suite would install properly, except for Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro.For some reason, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro refused to be installed.
The last technician who resolved the installation issue(after cleaning anything related to Adobe), initially choose to install the Adobe Premiere Pro component of the suite by itself. Once Adobe Premiere Pro installed, the remaining components installed with no issues.
