  • Adobe Photo Downloader stopped working; can't import from a DVD?

    I use Premiere Elements 4 (loaded with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6) on Windows Vista.
    When I attempt to import video from a DVD (via Get Media > DVD import) I am unable to do so and the message
    ADOBE PHOTO DOWNLOADER HAS STOPPED WORKING is produced by Windows.

    Well, if it was produced in an Adobe program, then it should be 100% DVD-compliant. The menuing structure should not be an issue, as it can with other programs (Roxio and Nero come to mind), or from a DVR-DVD unit. I have never seen one of those that did a DVD-compliant disc.
    This might point to something else going on.
    As a test, grab, or create a short Project in PrE with Menus, and then Burn it to Disc. Test this back in PrE, and see if it behaves exactly the same way. If not, then something might be odd with your first disc, or there could be some other issue. If the Importer fails again, I'd think about doing a Repair Install.
    If the test works, the first thing that I would do would be to Copy your DVD-Video. One can use the free burning utility, ImgBurn to do this, if they do not have Roxio, Nero or some other DVD Copy utility.
    As a thought, there are a lot of other programs, that can get in the way of many operations in PrE. You might find some tips on setting up your computer for an editing session, in this ARTICLE. Then, test with your DVD again.

  • Adobe Flash download stops working after I press run. It worked fine with Explorer before I went to Forefox

    error message reads " adobe flash download has stopped working. Windows will notify you if there is a fix" or something like that. I have tried to download about 10 times over 3 days. I need help. I transferred over to Firefox just this week from IE. I had no problems with Adobe with that program. But I cannot download it onto Firefox. Very frustrating. I have Windows Vista on this laptop.

  • Help, why did all my adobe products suddenly stopped working ????

    im a photoshop and indesign user,
    suddenly one day photoshop is freezing on open, and i cannot do any functions with it.... so eventually frustrated with it, i uninstall it and try to reinstall.  however, i open creative suite and it tells me i need to update creative suite, so i do this.  creative suite finds a problem half way and tells me it cannot complete the install..  after that i cant even find creative suite on my computer any more. it has vanished completely.   i also notice that indesign isnt working.
    so i go to the adobe website and try to re-download photoshop from my account history.  and no matter how many times i click the download button,  nothing happens !!!!!!
    what the HECK IS GOING ON???    someone please help

    You need to say what version of Photoshop and InDesign, and what Operating System you are using?
    Did you deactivate before reinstalling (you may not have had the option if it was not working).

  • Adobe products download then hang on "waiting to install"

    Have downloaded the Adobe Application Manager - manually - which is working. Signed in with my creative cloud account, and tried to download Indesign and Photoshop (CS6). Both downloaded fine, but both are now hanging on the "waiting to install" and are not moving at all.
    I am on a work network and using Windows XP.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated - and if technical language could be kept to a minimum that would also be brill! - I'm no techy!!

    Steve you will want to review your installation log files to determine why the installation may be failing.  You can find details on how to review the installation log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.
    Also what version of Windows XP are you using?  Which service packs are currently installed?

    Katy, In other odd license situations like this, Abode has required a phone call to work it out. As they should be aware of the Apple HD replacement programs and if you have the Adobe disks and/or serial numbers, I think you can walk through it with them on the phone.
    Your profile doesn't have the Geographic location field filled in so I having to make the provincial and possibly incorrect assumption that you are in N. America. If you're not, I don't know the Adobe options elsewhere.

    I am running Adobe CS 5 on Mac OS 10.8.4 and all of my Adobe products have stopped working, even Flash player and it won't let me install a new one.
    I have tried uninstalling apps but the uninstaller run into an error. I get the message that Adobe Application manager is missing or damaged. I tried to reinstall but I'am unable to install a new version. I've run Adobe cleaner which says there is nothing to clean. I've run Adobe support Advisor which finds no problems.
    I've created a new user account on my Mac but it has the same problems. I've run all kinds of utilities, cleaned out caches, tossed preferences, re-built disk permissions, etc.
    I  can't think of anything else to do. Any suggestions?

  • Need help with Photoshop and "Licensing for this product has stopped working" message. Adobe fix isn't working.

    I am still using CS3. A while back I received an error: "Licensing for this product has stopped working" for my CS3 programs. I used the recovery program suggested by Adobe and was able to get Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver to work, but I still can't open Photoshop or In Design. I went back to the Adobe site and did every other trick they suggested to fix the error, but nothing has worked.
    I then tried to uninstall photoshop from my CS3 suite (so I could reinstall) but got a JavaScript Alert: "Critical errors were found in set up. Please see set up log for file details." Seeing as I am not the best with the behind the scenes technical stuff, I have no idea what this means or where the set up log even is. Any help anyone can provide?
    I have had CS3 installed on my computer for over a year. I started having problems about 4 months ago.

    I am having similar problem.  Can't open any of CS3 programs after trying to download Dreamweaver Trial, which wouldn't work because "couldn't remove DLM extention" error message.  So now I can not run Illustrator, Photoshop, or even Adobe Reader.  These are properly licensed for about a year. I get "License for product has stopped working".  Have 2 pending cases open with Adobe support (one for Dreamweaver trial, one for license problem) since 8/3 with NO ANSWERS - It says answers within 1-3 business days.  Was on phone support hold today for over 3 hours before line went dead with no help.  What is up with adobe support?  Can anyone help?

    You can download the software thru the page linked below.  You will need your serial number to get it working.  If you registered the software when you first installed it then your serial number should be available thru your Adobe account online.

    I'm not able to download any adobe product at the moment.
    I have avast internet security 2015 having stopped it, turned off the firewal  but i'm still not able to download any programme. Avast might be blocking my downloads of adobe products. Can you help with this new problem?
    I've used crome and firefox. Still no solution for this problem.
    I'm using a windows xp laptop fujitsu siemens.

    I've sorted the problem but I don't know.
    I've manage to download adobe reader using crome.

  • Downloading the Adobe Creative Cloud app opens Adobe Product Manager but never updates it

    I've tried seveal times to download the Adobe Creative Cloud app but each time it opens Adobe Product Manager and then never updates APM to the Creative Cloud app nor does it give me any options to install the CC app.  Note: I've used adobe cleaner to clean my manager and did a fresh install of the latest Adobe Product Manager.  This allowed me to at least see all of the other CC programs and install several of them.  Its my understanding that APM is suppose to update itself to the CC app but it never does.  I'd really like to have the CC app to interact with the cloud as is intended.  plz advise and help.

    It will install as a fully functional 30 day trial. Entering your serial number will convert it to a permanent version, Standard or Extended, depending on what serial number you purchased.
    If you still have the license problem. get back to me with your OS details and the error code.
