Adobe Profile "My Products" doesn't show CS6 as registered at all.

I recently upgraded from CS5 to CS6. I purchased thru a reseller and received a download link from Adobe. Everything downloaded, installed fine (except for not doing anything about CS5 - but oh well), and everything is running okay except Acrobat X Pro suddenly stopped working.
Reading through the forums I found that to fix this, one needs to launch any of the CS6 apps (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and "deactivate" your license, close the program, relaunch, and reactivate the license.
*sigh*....alright, I was going to do that but know Adobe and their quirky ways with installs, I thought best to make SURE that the CS6 I bought was registered and showed up in the lists under "My Products" - but it doesn't, and I can't find any way to add it. It claims I don't have a valid serial number (despite being cut and pasted directly from the PDF of the License Certificate!)
I'd feel a lot safer fixing Acrobat if I knew my CS6 was properly registered. Can anyone help me with this? InDesign and Illustrator both say under Help to "Complete/Update Adobe ID Profile" - which is up to date and saved. Photoshop under Help the "Product registration" is greyed out.

Okay, I figured it out. The registeration occurs at a different place. Instead of logging into my Adobe ID account (which lists my previous versions) and registering the software there, it automatically registers itself during activation at the Adobe Licensing Website (LWS).

Yes, it's a DST issue. I've had this problem before at both ends of DST.

When I open an .swf file in Adobe Flash Pro it doesn't show up.

Hey, I'm having a problem. I have Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5, I'm trying to convert an SWF file to a GIF animation.
What I do is: New-->Actionscript 3.0
Import-->Import to stage-->open my .swf file
It shows the frames of it but it's all blank and it just doesn't show up. Any way to fix this?

You need to have the fla file if you want to create a gif.

I've tried downloading Adobe InDesign but it doesn't show up in Download Assistant!

It doesn't show up in any of the drop-down lists (photography, design) so I don't know how to download InDesign.

Adobe reader for iOS doesn't show markups?

I have pdf documents with markups prepared on Windows 7. When I upload to iOS from drop-box, then only the original document show, no markups. However, from the same drop-box, the Android tables displays all markups?
P.S. have this problem since we switched to iOS tables. Reader is up to date, have downloaded the latest update yesterday.
Any suggestions?

Thank you for the response, but I have since discovered the PDF is opened in a non Adobe app, probably that of Apple as you suggest.
If I select an alternative app from within the PDF reader, and select the Adobe reader, all markups display correctly.
I was not aware that there possibly could be a build-in PDF reader in iOS.
I was caught in this trap since the adobe reader does not have build in facilities to access the drop-box. Neither has drop-box, as with the Android app, the prompt to select an appropriate app for the document selected.

"adobe updater preferences" window doesn't show

i have the newest adobe reader X and im trying to disable auto update as it says in many instructions on the net
the problem is that i cant get to "Adobe Updater Preferences" window which is necessary to do this - the instructions says that it should appear after clicking "Help"-"Check for Updates" but i see only software checking for updates, completes the check and informing me about any new updates AND THAT'S ALL. just the information that there are no any new updates. there are no any "preferences" option or something as it shows for example below:

Adobe Edge sprite sheet doesn't show

Hi,
When importing animation from Edge to Muse using sprite sheet, I can see it work when playing automatically the Edge animation.
But when enabling "Advanced 1 second every" feature, sprite sheet objects doesn't function.
Any suggestions how to solve this?

Do you use Flash CS6 to follow the instructions in the classroom book? If yes, then you can find it under text drop down for an AS3 Document as shown below
If you follow the instruction in Flash CC or Flash CC2014 then you will not find this option as this is deprecated.

DVD SP 4.2.1 doesn't show information drawer on Simulator

Anybody else experiencing this?
Since I updated to 4.2.1/10.4.11, the Simulator doesn't show the Information Drawer at all, when pressing the proper button or keyboard shortcut. Of course, it's really needed to check GPRM/SPRM values....
Is is happening to anybody else?

Sorry, my mistake. But the Simulator Info button and shortcut works fine here with same versions (DVDSP 4.1.2 + OS 10.4.11):
You could try trashimg DVDSP preferences, or just restarting the system. I don't think QT version could be related with this behaviour, but just in case I have installed 7.2.0

Downloads window is blank, shows file name but doesn't show up speed, percentage of download etc.

When I start downloading something, the Downloads window opens normally & also shows what is being downloaded. But, it doesn't show downloading percentage, downloading speed. (all things which usually show up below the name of file). But when minimized, I can see percentage.

I believe that I went through a series of windows under CS6 Design Standard and clicked a button that said, "I still need help." I think that started the chat. Good luck!

Adobe Bridge CC (Mac) isn't showing collections generated in Bridge CS6

Opening Adobe Bridge CC doesn't show the collections I generated in Adobe Bridge CS6. Both versions of Bridge are on the same Mac and opened within the same User account (of the operating system). In Bridge CS6 (which seems to not open while running Bridge CC) still shows the collections and smart collections.
Question:
Is there any way to import these collections or is there another way to show those collections in Bridge CC?

Collections are version and user specific. If you want them also in CC you have to copy the collection files manually from CS6 to CC
Open two windows in your finder. Go to the user library (per OSX10.7 hidden by default, use menu Go with option to reveal) and follow this path:
user (your username)/ Library/ Application Support / Adobe/ Bridge CS6 / Collections. inhere should be some files with your saved collection names and the extension .filelist
Copy these to the same location but now instead of CS6 CC.
This should make you collections also available in Bridge CC after restarting it.
Be careful to depend on collections, they are not all that reliable for the long run. If you have put a lot of work in one collection then select all and add the name of the collection also as a keyword to the files itself, this way you have a good back up when things go wrong

Folder of Adobe Flash CS4 under Applications doesn't show the Flash logo

I migrated to my new Mac from an old Mac in which I had previously installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium which includes Adobe Flash CS4 Professional. After I did that, all the files for the Adobe softwares were in blue and wouldn't work so I reinstalled the DVDs again. All my folders show the logos that correspond to the softwares located in each folder except for the Adobe Flash CS4 Professional which is still in blue. When I click on it to open the software, it works, but it shows this message:
Error initializing Java Runtime Environment. You may need to reinstall Flash. Click OK
It works, but it bugs me that all the other softwares show the logos except for Flash. I tried to run the DVD #1 again, but when it shows all the softwares that you can click on to install, it doesn't show Flash.
Does anyone know how to fix that problem?
