Adobe Programs: Conflicts and Networking help!!

I don't know if this is the proper place to post but this is what I'm looking for. Any suggestions, thoughts or help would greatly be appreciated.
We are researching the possibility of using an outside IT Consultant for our computers and Adobe Software. Our IS team (about 10 people), while very good with networking PCs, are not familiar with Adobe software and how they interact with the hardware/computers and networks.
We have been struggling for a few years to get our machines to be at their best performance and efficiency, especially on large tradeshow graphics. We have had crashes and glitches since CS3, but we understand that their are many variables and they are not just Adobe product issues.
We are a large company but have only 3 designers. So we are trying to find our own help and do some of our own research on a resolution.
We are looking for someone who is PC mainly, but if you have a recommendation for anyone that networks macs also that would be great. We are currently on PCs with hopes of someday moving to macs.
If anyone knows of any business or independent contractor in the North Central Florida area please let me know.

We contacted Adobe but they said they can only give over the phone help and will not refer us to anyone.

As far as acquiring news versions goes, the only benefit you will get from owning CS4 is that you can get a Creative Cloud subscription at a special rate for the first year. https://creative.adobe.com/#plans
Otherwise, since CS4 is not in the upgrade path for CS6 products, you can purchase CS6 applications at full price.

Adobe Programs Not Working-Need Help

All my Adobe programs are unresponsive in my Mac Book Pro. Every time I open a program, after it loads up it virtually freezes. Every click I do, even if its not meant to do anything brings up the rainbow wheel, meaning a big operation is being done, or its having trouble doing the operation. This makes it so nothing can be done, not even selecting a tool, or opening a new/existing file. I know the programs are not responding because in the Force Quit window it says the programs are unresponsive. At first I tried to see if Force Quitting would help, which it didn't. I would restart my computer and that wouldn't work either. I even tried uninstalling, and re-installing the programs, and still nothing. I tried going to Disk Utility to repair the disks, and permissions, and again that didn't fix anything. At the time that I tried all that I was on the trial version of the programs, very near or at the trial period being over. So I thought upgrading to a Student License would help fix this, which it also didn't. After upgrading I uninstalled and re-installed again, still nothing. I only use three programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier Pro. They all have the same problem.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 and GIMP Help

I think I am fairly computer literate and I enjoy trying things out before having to consult with the owners manual but two programs that absolutely stump me are Adobe and Gimp. I hope I am in the right area because I need help understanding how to use either of those programs on my macbook. I would like to make simple website banners and myspace type comment boxes and i've had such a hard time comprehending those programs. I've done many google searches for tutorials and majority of them teach on a level of intermediate users. I've never used either program.
Or if anyone knows of a simple banner making program, please enlighten me.

It is true that the use of a specific program not made by Apple is well outside the scope of this particular forum, although it isn't wrong to ask around. It sounds like you might actually want to pick up a book about the basics of digital painting programs in general. When making graphics as simple as web banners, the functions provided by Photoshop and GIMP are so standard that other programs imitate them. Meaning if you don't have those down yet, you'll have trouble with any program you try. If you have problems understanding these core functions at an intermediate level, you probably should take some tutorials at a basic level, like the QuickStart guides or Classroom in a Book type of guides (I'm thinking of the printed books of this type), hopefully some concentrating on web graphics.
If we were to lay out what to do in Photoshop or GIMP to make a web banner, it would be: Make a new document the size of the allotted space on the web page, in pixels. Use the type tool and graphics tools to create the banner graphics. Save a copy of the document in the web file format required for insertion into the web page.
If you need more details than that, you do need more grounding than should be provided in a forum that's intended to discuss an operating system.

I can't uninstall firefox. I tried unsuccessfully start button and uninstall program way and then helper.exe, it doesn't do anything. How can I uninstall it?

I have read articles about uninstall process here. And I tried several times (I lost 2 hours trying to uninstall firefox) both ways (start button-control panel-uninstall program and c-program files-mozilla firefox-uninstall-helper.exe) but it doesn't work. I want to uninstall firefox because of "can't load xpcom.dll". Help me please.

Routes, gateways, and networks -- Help Please

Hi Linux gurus:
I have a problem that I know you will help me resolve...
I have two network cards in my Linux box.
1. public network:
10/100
192.168.1.102
default gw: 192.168.1.1
netmask: 255.255.255.0
I want this one routed to my router for internet/public use
2. private network 1000mpbs
192.168.2.181
default gw: none
netmask: 255.255.255.0
I don't want this one routed at all. It is used for backups, moving files, etc and is called by individual servers using /etc/hosts.
Now problem is that I can't get out and/or in to the box. It appears as though the default gateway on this system is 192.168.2.254. I set up the network via the gui and it appeared to be working, but alas it is not. It looks like things are only talking via the 192.168.2.X network, and that is not what I want...and from the outside world, nothing at all is talking to it.

Ok...I did the following:
route add default gw 192.168.1.1 eth1
route delete default gw 192.168.2.254 eth2
I am able to get out to the outside world and it seems to work fine, but just curious:
1. How do I keep this from reverting again? (I could put this in my own script, but would rather not hack it, but do it right)
2. Are my routing tables below correct now (it works I understand, but want to ensure it is done correctly).
3. What is this route for (in the below table) and is it needed?

4. Since i'm relying on /etc/hosts files for the systems on the 192.168.2.X interface should there even be a route for this subnet?

J6480 wireless and network help please!

I have an officejet J6480 that has an error in printing system when printing wireless. Everything is configured correctly and my printer reads the router and connects. If this problem cannot be fixed, can i use an ethernet connection directly from printer to router and get it to work. I tried this but also got a failure to print message. Please help asap! Thank you

hello,
first, cancel the print jobs
then try to restart the print spooler of the computer (click start>run... then type services.msc)
look for print spooler in the list
right click on the print spooler and click restart
if that doesnt work, then do a partial reset on the printer
unplug the power cord from the back of the printer without pressing the on button
press and hold # and 3 and wait for 10 seconds
plug the power cord back
wait for the printer screen to lit up then release the # and 3
try to ping the printer
try to print a test page again
keep me informed..

Problem with Adobe Reader 9 and HTML Help, IE 7 and Firefox

Hello everyone
I have some Problems with the Adobe Reader 9.1.0 and different browsers.
If I want to open a PDF document in one of these browser the browser-window freezes for 30 seconds and the document is built-on line by line.
The Trouble is that if the document is comlete loaded an i want to scroll down, the windows freezes again and the document starts again with built-on...
I have tried to open the documents with Reader 8.1.3 and this works fine, but i need to open the documents with Reader 9.1.0 because this is a customer preference to open the document with the newer version!
Sorry for my english but i hope my problem is understandable :-)
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

1. It happens with any file i want to open in browser.
2. The Problem is specific to browser. When I open a document in the Reader application everithing works fine.

I purchased adobe design standard and it wont download and open. help?

whenever I go to open the downloaded program it gives me an error message. I think it has something to do with the fact that my computer is a mac and the program is for windows. what do I need to do to fix the problem?

download the mac installation program. if this is pre-cc, you'll need a mac serial number to activate.

New disc drive and need to download all my Adobe programs again. Where to start? What to do?

Hi all, I had my damaged disc drive replaced and the shop did not re-install my programming. I need to re-install Acrobat, Bridge, and Photo Shop Elements. How do I go about this? I'm on a MacBook Pro running the latest OS Yosemite. Thanks.

Unable to download Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, please help?

Hi,
I am unable to download Photoshop 13. I have bought it and have an activation code but the download just isn't happening.
It starts to run, so I click 'Open/Run' when it appears on the bottom downloads bar, then nothing happens.
Even when I go in the downloads folder on my pc and select the download itself in there, nothing happens.
I have plenty of memory on my laptop as most of my stuff is on my external hardrive.
Norton antivirus keeps telling me it is safe so it isn't being blocked by an antivirus program.
I am really confused, please help.

How can I recover my adobe programs without my backup discs

My desktop crashed. I can't find my backup discs for my adobe cs5 illustrator and photoshop. I purchased a new laptop. How can I load my adobe programs on my new laptop. Is there a download? I can't find my security codes but I did register my programs when I first started them. Will adobe allow me to download my programs on my new computer?

I can't install any adobe programs!!!

Dear support!
My problem is I can't install the Adobe programs from creative cloud.
The story:
When I try installing the premiere cs6 family the program dowloading, but not extract. Then I wrote a email the hungarian adobe distributor (designshop.hu), and kindly man wrote to me: Ok we know this problem, use this:http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
or write hte adobe support.
I use the cleanertool. then I uninstalled all adobe programs. ANd then when i want install again ( for example PS) I get same problem like in premiere install.
So NOW i can't install any adobe program.
Please help me asap, becouse I can't do my job.

Spokuc are you receiving any specific error messages during the installation process? You can locate the error messages from your previous installation attempts within your installation log files.
