Adobe proto features in Rf

I've just been having a look at Rf, and it looks like its going to be a great tool for designing the bare bones of responsive layouts.
At the moment it only supports boxes (DIVs), text and images. With the demise of FW, it would be great if Rf incorporated some of FW functionality, for example creating buttons.
I've also played around a little with Proto on the iPad. I don't know what Rf CC will feature when its updated next month, but what would be useful would be if it combined its responsive layout design functionality, with additional elements that are available in Proto, so things like Navbars, Tab Bars, Buttons, Dropdowns etc. (And even renaming Boxes as DIVs for consistency).
Navbars could be especially useful. I did weatch one of the recent demos, where the canvas was reduced down to the mobile media query, and the navbar switched from a wide desktop navbar, to the sort of generic mobile dropdown navbar in the top right, with the three vertical lines to indicate it was a dropdown menu.
Not sure if this is the direction that Rf is heading in, but is something I'd find useful.
I am quite new to responsive design - I've looked briefly at things like Zurb's Foundation, but not really had the time to really get stuck in to it. Am I right in thinking that at its heart, ER is essentially working along the same lines, albeit in a more visual form?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you're trying Reflow and we're really excited to help the community out.
For Reflow we are trying to develop the product in a more interactive and conversational way with you our customers. We put it out there with a long list of things we thought were important, but we wanted to get direct feedback from our users to help prioritize what are the most important features to work on next. One of the best ways you can help if look at the all the ideas people have filed and vote for the ones that you like:
http://forums.adobe.com/community/edge_reflow_preview?view=idea
If you don't see any ideas that already address your issues, file a new one and get people to vote for it. We want to release updates to Edge Reflow every 4-6 weeks so you shouldn't have to wait too long to see your ideas get realized. There is a little longer break between our last preview and the next because we had to sync up with the rest of the CC release, but after that we should be back on our 4-6 week cadence. Thanks again for using Reflow and helping us make it really useful for you.

  • How to make Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP  Pages to PDF available for multiple users connected to the same Citrix server

    Hi,
In my previous endeavours to solve this business requirement where multiple users will be able to use the Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP pages inside SAP to PDF, I was told that it is not possible to do this for multiple users at the same time. However I have found an article according to which it says it is possible. Could you check it once and let me know if this article can be used for implementing the requirement stated above as this link clearly indicates that Adobe Acrobat is supported on Citrix.
Please find the link below where it states it is adobe acrobat is supported in Citrix for multiple users.
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/citrix.html.

    1. What is the Acrobat feature that you mean? There's nothing specific to SAP included with Acrobat.
    2. Yes, some Terminal Server configurations appear supported (check carefully). All users of the terminal server will need a license, so far as I know - total licenses = total individual people using.

  • How can I download Adobe Proto files as a zip?

    Hi.
I was wondering why I can only download Adobe Proto files as file type "Proto/.pro" I read that it would be possible to download a zip of the original via Creative Cloud giving me the css, jquery etc. of the wireframe.
It would be great if someone could help me out and let me know how it's done as I have no use for ".pro" files..
    kind regards

  • Quelque question sur adobe proto

    Bonjours a tous,

  • Kickstarter for Adobe CS features?

If anyone has heard of kickstarter, what if that were applied to Adobe CS features?
    stated differently...
    1. someone posts a feature request for everyone to see,
    2. people can promise to give 'x amount' of money to adobe if that feature is included in the next CS release,
    3. if enough money is allocated for Adobe to justify developing that feature, it gets included in the next CS release,
    4. if that feature is not included in the next CS release, everyone gets their money back.
    what do you think?
    thanks
    -wolv

I actually think it is a very good idea. I will say, the "money back" part I think is probably impossible, whether it's Adobe or ABC Startup Company.
Even as a very good idea, I agree that it's unlikely to happen. First, I really doubt enough people would be willing to participate to get anything done. Most desirable features (not talking about any bugs) are things that cost tens of thousands of dollars or more, so even if 20,000 people were willing to pledge an average of $5 for some Premiere Pro feature, it might not be enough anyway to justify the development. And getting 20,000 editors to agree on the actual specs for almost anything is highly unlikely.
I definitely see the potential in your idea, just don't think it would work in this case. Good for you thinking that up.

  • Is Adobe Exchange feature supported on CS5.* ?

    Hi!
I am developing a Flex panel for Photoshop CS5.* and 6 using Creative Suite Extension Builder 2. This version has  a new feature called Adobe Exchange that allows extensions to be marketed and sold. As I understand, this feature is supported on CS6 only.
I have some queries regarding the approval guidelines of a zxp.
[Guideline 1] Content should not contain any URL or redirect links anywhere other than Producers Identity Box in Extension Manager.
[Ques] Does that mean we cannot have a url on our panel that directs the user to anywhere other than  Producers Identity Box in Extension Manager?
[Guideline 2] Content does not contain encryption technology.
[Ques] Does this mean that our panel cannot in any way hold a code for encryption, be it for storing values like login credentials, etc.?
[Guideline 3] The product must support CS6 versions of Creative Suite applications. Products that support earlier versions are not accepted.
[Ques] Does this mean that a panel with support for CS5.* as well as CS6 will not be uploaded to Adobe Exchange?
Please shed some light on the above.
    Thanks!

    Hi there,
I have answered your questions inline below.
I am developing a Flex panel for Photoshop CS5.* and 6 using Creative Suite Extension Builder 2. This version has  a new feature called Adobe Exchange that allows extensions to be marketed and sold. As I understand, this feature is supported on CS6 only.
[Answer]: Yes CS6 is required but you can have a product that is backwards compatible with products earlier than CS6 such as CS5. In other words if you already have a product that supports say CS4/CS5 and CS6 you would not need to strip anything out we just need to have CS6 compatibility in order to be supported on the new Adobe Exchange.
[Answer]: What you can't do is point to another store or purchase page. So for example you could link to more information about your product but you could not provide a direct link to another Store/purchase option. As long as you do not have a direct link to another Store URL we are OK with it.
[Guideline 2] Content does not contain encryption technology.
[Ques] Does this mean that our panel cannot in any way hold a code for encryption, be it for storing values like login credentials, etc.?
[Answer]: The encryption question is really about encryptng or creating the possibility of encrypting. It comes back to the United States wanting to ensure we do not export somethign that could harm the United States, so for example a product that let's you encrypt secret information may cause issues for the US government. There are very few cases I can think of where this could be the case but we have to ask the question from a legal perspective. We expect some encryption for things like say a login and that should be OK but if you do have any concerns please say yes and we can investigate. 99% of the time it should not be an issue but we will work with producers to help you if you have any questions or concerns on this topic.
[Guideline 3] The product must support CS6 versions of Creative Suite applications. Products that support earlier versions are not accepted.
[Ques] Does this mean that a panel with support for CS5.* as well as CS6 will not be uploaded to Adobe Exchange?
[Answer]: No you can have backwards compatibility in your product, you just need to ensure your product will work with S6, if it works with earlier versions of
    CS that's fine.
    I hope the above helps.

  • Adobe Proto not syncing correctly

When I looked at one of my Proto Project in a web brower the file disaperad on my iPad and now I can't work on it any more. How can I fix this?
    https://creative.adobe.com/file/fc834257-84d7-4c37-9ef5-6ca48f9b0894
    Thanks,
    Pat Reilly

    Hi Pat,
Did you rename the project inside of the browser? If you did, you need to include .pro on the end. It would cause the project to disappear on the iPad if you didn't.

  • Using Typekit web fonts in Adobe Muse | Adobe Muse Feature Tour | Adobe TV

Adobe Muse recently introduced a feature that allows you to incorporate TypeKit web fonts into your website designs. In this video, Product Manager Dani Beaumont shows you how to access over hundreds of font types that look beautiful and can be understood by search engines and screen readers.
    http://adobe.ly/NlQYof

This video sends Flash Player into a wheel-spinning loop that freezes Firefox, won't play beyond the first few seconds (and very choppily at that) in Chrome, and reduces IE9 to a crawl. It isn't possible to view the video as of 10/23/2012.
