Adobe PS CSS files were downloaded, won't install ?

Adobe Cloud, Lightroom and PhotoShop files downloaded. Cloud and lightroom installed without problems.

Any suggestions to get CS6 loaded much appreciated. Bernard de Vantier - Calgary Canada

Tournoir do you receive a specific error message when you try to install Photoshop CS6?  Also which operating system are you using?

Downloaded dmg file but it won't install.  Someone help me out here.  No error message, just looks as though it locks up.  Running OS X Yosemite

    Hi usfmtnman,
Download the Creative Cloud apps manager at http://www.adobe.com/appsmanager/
*Then, in the menu bar interface for the Apps Manager, go to Apps > Acrobat > Install  and check.

Hi, a few hours ago I purchased an "audio book" from i-tunes and i samw the files were downloading on my iPad, but  I cannot find the audio book! What happened?

    HI CEGS,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Audiobooks can be found in your Music app on the iPad.
I've referenced the section of the iPad User Guide (page 78):
    manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
See additional browse buttons: Tap More.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Adobe Exchange download won't install in Extension Manager CC - no valid certificate.

I've been struggling to load the Adobe Exchange download into Extension Manager CC.  It won't install due to it having 'No valid certificate'.  Is there a fix for this?

Please click "Tools"->"Preferences" menu item in Extension Manager, uncheck "Allow Extension Manager to access Internet" option, then retry.

  • When I try to update firefox to the latest version, it comes up with a corrupt file error and won't install. Same for adobe flash player.

It seems that as of yesterday 05/10/13, anything that is downloaded will not install. Tried updating to the latest version of firefox, but that give the error of corrupt files.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is otherwise interfering with downloading files.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
    See:
    *browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Elements 11 download won't install.

Elements 11 is hanging and won't complete download installation at the "shared technologies" files (?).  Am upgrading from and academic elements 9.  Please advise.  Thank you.

I ran into this same issue yesterday. It seems the installer does not like "deep directory structures". My downloaded files were quite deep into my personal directories, so I copied them to a temp directory at the root. (C:\Temp_Adobe_Files).
I ran the setup.exe file from there and the installation worked fine.
I actually found that solution (after 6 hours of hair pulling) burried in a bulletin here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html
Don't do the "clean install process", as it will mess up your system... You will loose a lot of your system customization if you do that. (I found out the hard way and had to go back and reset things I'd customized.)
Instead, scroll down to the section titled:
Error: Shared Technologies have failed to install
    It will tell you:
"Note: If you are using a downloaded installer, or running the installation from the hard drive, the Shared Technologies can fail because of the installation path. Copy the installation files to a folder to the root of the drive, such as C:\PSE<versionnumber>Installer\, and rerun the installation."
    This solution worked for me.
    =======
After I took hours to find this solution, I went back to the initial adobe.com website and just entered "Shared Technologies" in the search field... and was taken right to a link to this article... But that was only "easy" after I had tried working through Adobe's menu system instead. In the future, I will try FIRST to enter the keyword in that very first search field and (hopefully) save myself hours of grief. (Yes... What I'm saying is that the menu system on the Adobe site stinks.)

  • Adobe PSE 8 with Bamboo Captures Won't install

I just bought 2 Bamboo Captures by Wacom and went to install one on my Mac OS X 8. For some reason I can't download the Adobe Photoshop Elements 8. It stops at the installing page - nothing happens. It installed perfectly on my MacBook Pro & our other iMac OS X 8. I even tried using the disk that came with the other Bamboo and it still won't install. I used MacKeeper to clean things up and then restarted the computer and still it won't install. I am an absolute layman when it comes to computers. Help!

    Hi,
I can't be certain, but I can't see any reason why PSE 8 shouldn't be compatible with Windows 8.1.
Do you get any error message when trying to install PSE 8?
If you were to upgrade to PSE 13, there should not be any problem with your existing files. It would be best to use the organizer's Backup Catalog to hard drive on the old computer and then the restore catalog on the new computer. That way both the catalog information and the photos will be transferred across.
I suggest that you make sure that there are no missing files in your current system.

  • Adobe flash 11.6.602.180 won't install

This version of Adobe flash: 11.6.602.180
    from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.edu.html
Won't install (at least on Windows 7), unlike all previous revisions.
    What can be done?
    I get this error:
Error 1722: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.  A program run as part of the setup
did not finish as expected.  Contact your support personnel or package vendor.  Action NewCustomAction1.
    location: ....\AppData\Local\Temp\InstallPlugin_11_6_602_180exe.
    command: -install -msi
[This latter command, is something it must generate internally.  I install the msi download like so:
    msiexec /i <Pathtodownloads>/install_flash_player_11_plugin.msi   /quiet /passive /qb /norestart /l+* %systemdrive%\log\flash.log
There doesn't seem to be a way to contact Adobe itself about this product problem.
Since these updates are usually security fixes, it seems like a bad thing to roll back.]

  • Adobe Acorbate Reader 9.3.3 won't install

I am running Windows Vista.  I could not install an update to Acrobat Reader, so I uninstalled what I had and downloaded and tried to install the latest version.
I keep getting a popup with the message: Error 1303.  The installer has insufficient privileges to access the directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX.  Teh installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator.
I am logged on as an administrator.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

If you are still experiencing same issue try following steps:
Error 1303 is caused when there are insufficient privileges for the Installer to access a particular directory {as seen in error message}. You can try to restore the privileges by using DOS Commands such as “takeown” or “cacls”.
Now supposing the problem directory is “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX”. On executing the below command, the Ownership of the directory will be restored to Administrator and it’s ACL(Access Control List) will be modified so that Administrator and System have Full Control over this directory.
    TAKEOWN /F "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX" /R /D Y && ICACLS "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX" /grant administrators:F SYSTEM:F /t
You can simply cut-paste and execute the above command in blue color in Command Prompt {To start Command Prompt, type cmd in Run Window}.
If the Command has run successfully, you should see some message like “Successfully processed 12 files; Failed processing 0 files”
Now try to re-install Adobe Reader 9.3.3.
    Hope, it helps.

  • Cannot find original adobe Encore CS3 file to download

My computer was hacked and I had to reformat everything only to find that the keylogger was in my router. I lost everything in 4 computers. I bought and paid for Encore CS3 but can only find "updates" and not the original program to update on my Adobe account  product page. I also updated Premiere Pro to CS4 which I found.
Please help. Where is the Encore CS3 download?
    Thank you.

  • .air files (Air apps) won't install

    Hello everybody.
After having successfully installed the latest AIR runtime, I downloaded an .air app and tried to execute it, to no avail. First off, the .air file was not associated with anything, therefore Windows asked me what application I would want to run it with. I then tried to associate it with airappinstaller.exe that can be found under Program Files\Flash Player\Addins, but any time I execute it I get a message saying that there was a problem and I should try to install the latest AIR runtime (which I have already).
I'm kind of lost, what's the problem and how should I deal with it?

Glad you were able to work around the problem.  The latest runtime shouldn't have issues making the appropriate .air extension association.  If possible, try uninstalling and reinstalling the AIR 2.0.3 runtime.  If you still run into problems, please post your installer log file so we can try and dig deeper.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • CS6 download won't install

It froze on me at 6%, so I backed out of it. Now I can't find an installer or any record of a download. Do I have to re-download the trial & will it let me. I am worried I will loose the opportunity to try the trial bc I completed the download part.

I finally figured out that you mean activity monitor which I never use but anyway I am only running ONE! I already used the cleaner and removed ALL copies (which were not fully installed copies) and RE downloaded from the latest email you sent me re the cleaner app. Furthermore I am not getting any of the messages that you have suggested That I was recieving:
    Jeff A Wright wrote:
Only one Adobe Creative Suite 5 or CS5.5 installation can run a time. Otherwise, one of the following error messages appears:
“You are already running another Adobe installer. Please close other installer and select Retry option.”
“Other instances of Adobe Application Manager are running. To continue, installer needs to close those instances. Do you want to continue?”
Click Quit (for the first message) or No (for the second message) to exit the installer.
For some reason It wont let me upload an image of the activity  (task) manager, but I assure u there is only 1 Download assistant and 1 Application manager running.
    Still stumped

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.1.1 Won't Install Updates

Adobe Updater shows that the following update is available:
    Adobe Acrobat 9.2.0 (CPSID_5026)
When I select the update and click install, it downloads the the update, but as soon as it finishes downloading and starts the installation process, I get the following pop-up box:
"The installation process has incountered a problem.  Please choose from the following option."  My choices are "Run this update again", "Stop installing and continue later", or Cancel this update and quit".
My only real option is to cancel the update and quit.
I tried downloading the updates directly from the website in addition to downloading them from the help menu in Adobe.
Not sure if it has any relevance, but I'm currently running Windows XP Version 5.1 with Service Pack 3.
Can anyone offer some assistance to get the updates installed?

My personal experience with Acrobat updates is that they MUST be installed in numerical order. I checked the Adobe updates for Acrobat 9. There are two updates (9.1.2 and 9.1.3) that you need to download and update Acrobat before downloading and installing 9.2.0.
The update feature from inside Acrobat only seems to work if Acrobat is updated with the most recent predecessor update. A very clumsy way to do it indeed!
    Good luck.

  • Won't download; Won't install; won't play.

I recently began having problem with the Flash Player after
doing a system reinstall. First off, when i go to the download page
for flash player 9, i click on the install and the screne reloads
but nothing happens. Also, when I go to one of my favorite sites,
Adultswim.com, the second page opens (which is a flash cartoon),
but when I go to the "videos" page, i'm prompted to download "the
latest version of Flash player," which takes me to the download
page where i can't download. I did the registry fix offered below
the "install" comand on the download page and it didn't work. I
reinstalled IE and unistalled all adobe products. Nothing seems to
    be working.
On a scale of 1-10, I'm about a 7 when it comes to computers,
so any responses can take that into consideration.

<<What I don't understand is I can get flash player to
work fine from firefox but not in ie7.>>
That is becuase the two browsers use different technologies.
Flash Player for IE Windows is an activeX control and his highly
dependent on registry permissions and Windows subsystems (and hence
    prone to suffering).
On all other browsers and platforms the Flash Player is a
plugin. Does the same thing, but less dependent on Windows. The
plugin seldom fails in the same way the ActiveX control does.
<<Has adobe even offered a statment regarding this
    problem?>>
We have a number of technotes that attempt to resolve this.
Unfortunately there just is no simple fix that we we can find for
these odd permission issues. That said, we are constantly
discussing this with Flash Player Engineering and pushing for more
solutions. And I do mean constantly. But ultimately we've never
been able to determine what is changing the ACL permissions in the
registry that effects the Flash Player ActiveX control. So
ultimately sometimes the SubInACL tool is required.
Even Microsoft has similar permission problems (which is why
they created the SubInACL tool in the first place).
We are absolutely not ignoring this issue. If I could snap my
fingers and make it disapear for everyone, believe me I would.
Please be patient. And as always, you -do- have the option of using
non-IE browsers. We don't recomend that as a 'fix'. But it can make
    your life easier.

  • During Windows install, says the Bootcamp Windows partition is incorrect file system and won't install

I had another Macbook Pro retina which I installed Windows 8 on with no problems via bootcamp.  I just updated to the late 2013 model of the Macbook Pro, and attempted to do the same thing but have had problems.  I create the partition for Windows with Bootcamp, restart the computer, and after I enter my security key in the Windows installation screen it comes to the screen where you have to select the appropriate installation drive.  When I select the drive I created for Windows, it says that it can't install due to the file system.  I have no idea why I'm having this problem because I had done this once before....I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong and I'm at a loss.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I will greatly appreciate it...also let me know if there are differences from the early 2013 model and late 2013 model that would've created this problem.  Thanks!!
    Robert

    Well, here is what happened...
Somehow in making a Windows partition then removing the partition so many times I created an error where it only showed 1/2 of my hard drive...like it was starting to create the second half for the windows side and ran into an error.
So this turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because what I had to do was go to "Command + R" when I was starting up and format the entire drive, all 500 gb.  This formatted the whole drive and must've erased whatever was causing the trouble.
Of course, then I had to reinstall OS X, and reinstall my Time Machine backup, but then I opened bootcamp and created the Windows partition again.  This time, when I ran the EFI installer you were referring to on the far right (which I had tried before), it allowed me to click next and continue once I selected the Windows partition.  Thank God!  It must've fixed whatever file system error was hanging it up there every time....because it's installing now.
What I would suggest if all else fails, just format the whole dang thing.  Then try from square one and see if you can install
