Adobe PSE 9 Rebate - Frustrated ...

I purchased Adobe PSE 9 from Amazon.com
I sent in my proof of purchase (original bill) but have now been notified my submission has been refused as I did not include an original Adobe Proof of Purchase Tab 1.
Now I have checked the box, all over, inside out and I can't find this Tab 1 they refer to.
Can somebody please tell me exactly where it is please?

I feel your pain - I went and jumped through the same hoops, but I found and cut out TAB
1 and mailed in. I got a very standard postcard form giving the same message, despite that I sent the tab in. I am going to mail them a picture of the cut out box, along with the copy of the Tab1 and another copy of my receipt.
This really is a common ploy to sell stuff. Advertise a price that is higher than what you have to pay, then list that you have to apply for and mail in for a rebate. I work for a major manufacturer and can tell you for a fact that less than 15% of the people take the time to do the work to get the rebate. They bank on this. That's fine - but when Adobe makes you have to cut up and destroy the box that the software came in, my worry was, okay if I have any problems with the software I now don't have the proof of purchase... Secondly this is a hassle, I did the "work", jumped through their hoops, and some, likely outsourced, group denied it because they probably dropped this little cut-out cardboard square or didn't take the time to dig through the envelope. They also figure and bank on I will say "screw it", it's not worth the $20.00. Well they can think again... This is BS - I can't wait until Google or Apple comes up with a competitive product.
Adobe's Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Adobe not honoring rebate

Adobe has a rebate for PSE9 now through the end of 2011. You can find info on it at http://store.adobe.com/store/en_us/popup/software/pse9/rebateterms.html. I just bought a new copy of PSE9 via eBay "buy-now." My box did not have the rebate form in it, and I could not find one on the Adobe web site. When I contacted customer support, they said that products bought via eBay were inelegible even though the rebate terms has no such limitation. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so, how did you resolve it? This is a mighty poor way for a company like Adobe to treat its customers.

I purchased PSE 9 on Nov. 29, 2010. I received an email on Jan. 12, 2011 that my rebate check of $20 had been mailed and give it 2-3 weeks. It's been almost 4 weeks and no checks. I called customer service. The recorded message said the wait time was 11-13 minutes. It actually was 24. Then the rep had difficulty understanding my request and put me on hold again. Finally she came back and gave me the rebate phone number to call. 888-788-4928. I'd been on the phone for 30 minutes. If this really is the rebate number, why isn't it on their website? I've been trying to call it for 15 minutes and all I get is a busy signal. Is there an email address where I can send my enquiry? This is the first time I've purchased an Adobe product, but browsing this forum, it will probably be the last.

In adobe pse and nikon nx2, I open 2 images, select in 1 a head, copy, open image 2 and paste, than only the outlines of the selection apears but no head. who knows this problem?

Need help with a copy of an old document Using Adobe PSE 8.0

I have a copy of a document (Will) written in ink, in 1782. The problem is, about half of the ink has faded over time, so that only the bottom portion of the Will is still readable. I wish to be able to alter the image so that somehow someway I will be able to read the "faded" ink. I have three different copies of this document, as people attempted to copy the document, as best they could. I have been (told) that one image is very close to what the actual document looks like. I'm not experienced, in altering scanning settings (ex. HP Officejet 6500, All-in-One). I know how to scan documents (at the simpliest level), but I'm not very experienced in using the Adobe PSE 8.0 software. So, I don't know if it's capable of helping me with this problem or not. The ink is very faded, you can still see most of the words (of the faded ink) but just not enough to be able to decern what each word is. Transcribing this Will, is of the utmost importance, because it may lead to answers about the family of this individual. Any tuturials or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, for your time, consideration, and cooperation, I truly appreciate it.

These are two samples of the "faded ink", that I want to resurrect, so to speak. I scanned them in grayscale.

Can Adobe PSE 9 be installed and operated from a computer with Windows 7 64 Bit OS? I tried to install the program and encountered a number of errors on the computer. I am trying to determine if this is a conflict with the software, or a sign of a seperate issue with the computer,

What errors do you get while installing?

I use a lot of Adobe PSE programs, especially PSE 9. All of a sudden PSE 9 became dysfunctional. The cursor won't respond. Do I have to buy PSE 9 again ?

I use a lot of Adobe PSE products (photography) especially PSE 9. All of a sudden, the cursor on PSE 9 began to malfunction. It won't respond to some of the tools, it'll pick the wrong tool, etc. Do I jave to rebuy another new version of PSE 9 or simply move on ?

Reset the tools. Click on the little arrow, top left, on the option bar of one of the tools. That may fix it.
If not, suggest that you reset preferences to default.

Adobe PSE 11 won't install: error 1321

I bought adobe PSE 11, when installing, error 1321: "Installer has unsufficient privelages to modify c:\windows\installer" appears. I have tried running as admin, but nothing . What do I do?

The installer was probably unable to write all the required files to disk. Consult your system administrator. If you are the sole administrator see these notes. They relate to Creative Suite but may help you to analyze the problem. If in doubt contact Adobe Installation Support Team.

Adobe PSE hard drive space

I am in the process of moving pictures (using Move in Windows) from my hard drive to an external hard drive. When completed there is still an image of the picture remaining in Adobe PSE which is not connected. I have not removed in from the catalog yet.
My question is, is this image a duplicate copy of the original? If not what would be the hard drive space it is taking up relative to the original?
Please note this is not my Backup, but am using the external drive to store files I seldom will be using.

You most definitely should not be using Windows to move photos that have been imported into the Organizer. This disconnects the photos. You will not be able to do anything with the photos from Organizer until you reconnect them. There are several ways to reconnect the photos. Once you fix this problem, you should only use the Organizer to move your photos from one disk to another. Use folder location view (alt-ctrl-3) to do this.
Your photos are not, and never were, in the Organizer. They exist on your hard disk, and Organizer contains a pointer to the actual photo. The photo you see in the Organizer is a small thumbnail, not your original photo, which remains on your hard disk wherever you put it. The thumbnail takes up only a very little space.

Adobe PSE 8 Can't Email Photos

Hello. I'm helping a friend who is running Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. He wants to email
photos from within the program. However I'm hitting two different problems:
1) If I select "Windows Mail" as my email client then I get the message:
"Elements Organizer could not finish creating your E-mail message. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe E-mail Service via the Elements Organizer Preferences Dialog."
2) Ok so I select Adobe e-mail service. If I try that then when we try and hit next to send the message the program freezes. A new hidden window spawns called "New Message". It will sit like that forever. If I kill the pse 8 "New Message" window then pse 8 unfreezes but no email is ever sent.
I do computer support for a living so I'm comfortable around one. Here the things I tried:
1) Found an Adobe knowledge base that acknowleged a limitation with windows 7 "Windows Live Mail" (instead of Vista's "Windows Mail"). The KB had me inject a few registry keys that told your default mail client were the dlls were for windows live mail. This did not resolve the issue.
2) Uninstalled/Reinstalled PSE 8. Still both problems remained.
3) Whacked every unneed applications/process still no love.
4) Checked for a proxy inteferring with adobe email service. No proxy settings set
5) Reset the preferences file for PSE8
6) I setup a test machine at home with a fresh install of windows 7 and a fresh install of Adobe PSE 8. The email through Windows Live Mail still didn't work. I'm convinced its unsupported by PSE8 on Windows 7 64 bit but Adobe Customer Service told me otherwise. Unfortunately I wasn't at the computer at the time I called them to try troubleshooting with them. However the Adobe e-mail service did work on my test machine so there must be something preventing it on my friend's machine (permissions, corruption, dependency missing?)
I'm up for any suggestions.

I have followed similar approaches as you have outlined in your post. I spoke with the Adobe techs and was told Adobe is aware of the failing and I quote, "We are working on a fix and hope to have it implemented within the next six month."
Bad news that was two (2) years ago. As of this writing and unless a "fix" has been implemented that I am not aware of, Adobe PSE software will not run an Adobe e-mail program on Windows XP or 7.
I submit a working remedy that being to use one of the two (2) remaining alternatives included in the PSE 8 software package.
Not intending to be boring but to be sure we are on the same page, go to Edit, select Preferences, select sharing, in the e-mail Settings box I have selected the Microsoft Outlook option. I tried Windows mail and it gave my system a few problems so I went back to Outlook.
An annoyance is the Recipients once entered are entered in a temporary fashion and must be re-entered each time I shut the PSE 8 down. Another deficiency awaiting the miraculous cure that now appears to be two (2) years over due.
Please note, be sure to have Outlook mail up and running so you can monitor the transmission progress.

Try extracting all of the files from the zip file first. I received this same error when trying to run the exe from within the zip.

Issues with Adobe PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 plus DiskWarrior 4.4

Since upgrading to the final version of OS X 10.10 Yoesemite I have issues with Adobe PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 plus DiskWarrior 4.4. I don't recall their being any issues while I went through the Beta testing process. The Adobe products (PSE and PE) give me a configuration message "error 16" and it tells me to uninstall and reinstall. I have done this a few times/ It seems to go through the whole install process until the startup where it crashes. I downloaded PSE 11 and at least it starts up but I haven't used it to do anything. Also DiskWarrior 4.4 does not load up from the hard drive anymore (error message) and when I boot it up from disk is doesn't give me the option of correcting permission when repairing files and folders.
At lease all of otheother software including Photoshop Lightroom 5.6 seem to be working.

Yes, I accessed the "updates" menu from the Help pull-down menu. I also accessed the updates using the Mac Terminal application with results shown in my original post. Regardless of whether I used the Help menu or the Mac Terminal app, the AAM tool still responded with:
Update Failed
   Updates could not be applied
   The error log file may help you in identifying the problem. The, try updating again. If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error log file read as follows:
   Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5
   There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210
   Looking at the the output of the Mac Terminal app, it shows:
   ... hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems
   Is this relevant?

How can I gain access to bonus backgrounds, graphics, etc in Adobe PSE 7 if Photoshop.com services have been shut down? I have been using the bonus backgrounds and such from Photoshop.com for several years to design Christmas cards for my photography clients. Now, my Photoshop.com membership doesn't exist, so I can't use those backgrounds and graphics. Is there a way to go around this or to gain access to those bonus items?

Any that you have already used are on your computer--you only have to download them the first time you use them. If you haven't already downloaded them, then yes, you're right--they're no longer available.

Cannot find Adobe PSE 10 download

I bought the download of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on November 23rd 2011. I have the serial number for it.
Recently I uninnstalled it before installing the trial version of Adobe PSE 11. I have uninstalled the trial of Adobe PSE 11 -it does not offer any great improvements over verson 10.
When I looked for the Adobe PSE 10 download under my account, I was shocked to find no record of the purchase and no link to download Adobe PSE 10 again. I added the serial number to see whether it changes the situation.
Someone in Adobe must have the link to dowmload Adobe PSE 10 again.
How do I access it?

I have only one Adobe ID. Adobe PSE 10 was purchased directly from Adobe. The order number was: #AD004449239. I can send scanned copies of the order confirmation and e-mail with the serial number which I received on November 23 2011.

Adobe PSE 8 + Epson Stylus Photo PX710W - Cannot Get This Combo to Work

Apologies for length of posting but I am really at the end of my tether with this. I should say that prints from this printer have not impressed me even from when I first received it about a month ago when I was printing from Epson Easyprint software. They looked washed out and not at all vibrant and I was using Epson inks and papers. However things got a whole lot worse when I started to use PSE8 which gave prints that were far darker than those on screen. Interestingly the best prints so far came from me simply inserting my SD card directly into the printer this morning but obviously that gives little-to-no control over manipulation.
So, if somebody could help me I would really appreciate it. Here are my latest settings:
Snow Leopard 10.6.4
Macbook Pro 2.66 GHz Intel Core Duo
Epson Stylus Photo PX710W
Adobe PSE 8 (Mac)
Note that I spent the whole of yesterday working on this to the stage where I uninstalled and reinstalled all of the Epson stuff. I also consulted the following link (and related links) and downloaded the latest Mac Updater from the Epson US site.

I have calibrated my monitor using the Eye-One display 2.
When I print in PSE I am choosing:
Colour Settings: Always Optimise Colour for Computer Screens (I chose this because my photo file is showing as sRGB)
Colour Management:
Colour Handling: Photoshop Handles Colour (I disabled Printer Colour Management in another menu)
Image Space: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Printer Profile: SPPXTX 810 710 Epson Glossy
Rendering Intent: Relative Colorimetric
I truly hope this is a case of user error on my part so all advice welcome. Or just let me know if oyu know of a better printer:)

I also had enough with Epson Stylus Photo PX710W... I am buying a new printer. I have tried everything to make it print from photoshop nice vivid colors, if you consider i am using a very well calibrated monitor special for video editing. i used also Dekke settings for Colors and are not even close to the original when printed and i can't seem to figure out whats the problem. I disabled printer color management and let photoshop handle it. I tried Adobe RGB, i tried Epson Standar bla bla bla... I searched the subject very deeply as to inform everybody before posting anything that i have no problem with my videos whatsoever. I have tried numerous settings (almost all photoshop could offer) and have consumed a lot of ink and printed thousands the same picture to compare the settings and wrote with a marker on it each times the combination of settings that i did. Not even close... I realized only one thing just to also let others know and get them out of trouble... Epson Stylus Photo PX710W + Mac = Disaster! Good for windows yes, but buying a Epson Stylus Photo PX710W for your Mac? FORGET IT! I'm throwing it to the waste bin or i will just give it away to someone for free.
