Adobe RAW for CS6

I have already typed this whole question once, WTF!?  RAW is setting default output sizes for my raw files even though I am inputting them at the full raw size out of the camera  the output from the camera is 24 M the raw program is defaulting it at 12 M to out put the file to Photoshop what is happening and how do I change it back to the correct size?

So does you preference dialog box look like JJMack's in that under image sizing "Resize to fit" is unchecked?  Also if it is are the values in the grayed out boxes the native pixel size of your camera?  If you want to upscale, have you tried selecting resize to fit?  If the values of the image size are smaller than your native camera image, are you sure your camera did get set to a DX format rather than an FX format, if you camera can do that?  Show us a screen shot of what you are getting with this.  How is ACR downsampling your files, by that I mean what is the native image size of your camera and what are you getting when you open a file.

    You may need to purge your Bridge cache for the folder with Mark II raws in it using:
    Bridge / Tools / Cache / Purge Cache For Folder current-folder-name
    I can see Mark II files in Bridge 5.0.2 for CS6 after installing the ACR 8.8 update, but I didn't try viewing thumbnails in the folder before I had ACR 8.8 so there were no cached "cannot read this file" thumbnails..
    If purging the cache and letting it rebuild doesn't work check to see what version of ACR Bridge has by using ridge / Edit / Camera Raw Preferences... (that's the Windows menu path).  Here is what I see:

  • Camera RAW for CS6: is this only available for CS6 Extended?

    I have two versions of CS6: Standard CS6 which I purchased and use on my Mac at home, and CS6 Extended, which was a part of a package supplied to me at my office.  On my home machine, where I do my private photography, I seem unable to add the RAW plug-in, but I have successfully added it to Extended.  Please help!

    I know it installs in CS6 Standard as well as Extended.

  • Comp lost all data and software. Came back clean - lost my adobe CD for CS6 but have the serial number. Can i reinstall without cd ?

    Had Adobe CS6 and all my data and software was taken as computer repairs had to place a new hard drive in.
    I have CS6 serial number but I cannot locate the disc- can I reinstall the program on my computer with just the serial number?

    Only adobe knows, but from what they have said, more or less until thay stop selling photoshop cs6, whenever that might be.

    Which operating system are you using?
    Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get either camera raw 8.3 or 8.7.1, which should enable photoshop cs6 to open the canon 5D Mark III files.
    (version of camera raw depends on your operating system)
    If that doesn't work try one of the following camera raw plugin installers:

    I am unable to update my CS6 to get the latest updates and latest Camera Raw for Canon 6D.  I get an error message that says close Adobe Bridge.  Photoshop is closed and as far as I can tell Adobe Bridge is closed.  What do I do now?

    I have CS 5 Adobe RAW 6.7.0.339, OS 10.6.8. When I check CS 5 for updates it says that there are non availible. When I download 7.1 from Adobe site it says it is not for me.  What is happening? Is CS5 not being supported anymore?

    ACR 7 and beyond require CS6/ LR4/ PSE 10. So yes, CS5 is "not supported" in a manner of speaking. Has never been any different, though - as soon as there is a newer version, older products get EOL'd.

  • Type UI in CS6 in Surface Pro 3 is too small.  Adobe needs to isuue a fix for CS6.

    I don't need to upgrade CS6 for any photography reason.  Adobe should make CS6 UI readable fro surface pro 3 users.  They have a fix for later versions.  Why not make it available in other earlier versions of photoshop.  This is not a question of adding new features, it is a question of making the UI readable.

    DNG files do not contain some metadata supplied by the camera, which can be used by the manufacturer's software. Thus, if you don't keep the original Raw photo, you will lose this information.
    If your 1000% sure you're never going to use the manufacturer's software, then this isn't a problem. But who can be sure what software you will be using 10 years from now?
