Adobe Reader 10.1.2 Font Catpure AcroRd32.exe - Applicaton Error in Windows XP

Hi All,
I installed Adobe Reader 10.1.2 in windows XP, and I will get the below error when I open the pdf file:
Font Capture AcroRd32.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0X8af9311" referenced memory at "0x8a2f9311". The memory cound not be written"
Even I try to disable the protected mode at startup, I still get the aboe error randomly.
Any advice on this.

Sorry for the confusion. Please try the following steps:
1. Launch Notepad and type in following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe\OpenWithList]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.exe\OpenWithProgids]
"exefile"=hex(0):
2. Click on File > Save As
3. In the new dialog that appears:
Select All Files in the Save as type list, and then type C:\Exe.reg in the File name box.
Select Unicode in the Encoding list. Save it and remember the file location.
4. Open My Computer and double click on the C: icon
5. You will see a file by the name of "Exe.reg". Double click on the same and click Yes on any dialog that appears.
6. Once completed, restart the computer and your problem should be resolved.

    Google Chrome is a problem:
if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version.  Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; use a different browser!

  • Adobe Reader 9 is not opening same files in Browser "Error in this Page"

Adobe Reader 9 is not opening same files in Browser "Error in this Page"
If I try to open this pdf file manually then its works.
The Error comes if I try to open Big Files or some else Files in the Browser.
This Error was not comming with Adobe 8.

To uninstall Adobe Reader, make sure (using Task Manager's Processes tab) that Adobe Reader is not running.  Browser windows should also be closed.
If you still cannot proceed, try in Safe Mode, or use the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
P.S. Adobe AIR and Acrobat.com are not directly related to Adobe Reader, and can be uninstalled independently.

    Hi SUBRAMANIAN,
Are you still facing this issue? It seems to be conflict to me.
Are you using any third party plugins with Acrobat? Try disabling and to use it again.

There is a small change to the registry that may fix your problem.  Since you have no experience with regedit I have made a little registry script to make that change.
Before you run it, to be 100% safe, please create a System Restore Point; see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/create-a-restore-point
Once that is done, download, unzip, then run the attached registry script.

  • Adobe Reader 11 could not print with pdfp.exe

I have updated my Adobe to Adobe Reader 11 and in my application has used pdfp.exe for printing pdf files. But after updation I haven't print pdf files.
It was possible to print while Adobe reader 10 and below version with pdfp.exe batchfile .Please help

    Hello,
    Thank you for the welcome
"Preview is not supported" is the error message I get when the Print Dialog box is open and I select "Preview" from it. I thought it might be important to mention that.
This may be too much information: When I select the print icon from the PDF file, the file does not print, nor do I get an error message. When I choose File > Print in Safari, and then select Print from the open window, a Safari error message pops up that says "The document could not be printed."
My ignorance is revealed: I do not know how to drag and drop the file directly on the printer's window...
    I appreciate your assistance!

  • Acrord32.exe system error the program cant start because msvcp100.dll

    Hello Adobe Community,
Im having problems with an XP Pro machine that is joined to a domain where i keep getting the following error message : " acrord32.exe system error the program cant start because msvcp100.dll"
I can temporarily solve this by uninstalling Adobe Reader and then reinstalling it. But the next day the computer restarts the same error comes up again. In other forum there was a solution to install Microsoft Visual C++. I installed it but the same problem happen again the next day. The Adobe Reader version I have installed its XI (11.0.03). If you guys could help me with this issue that would be great

It's not C++ you need to install, but the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable package.  But I have no idea why this happens again the next day.

  • Font Capture: PhotoshopServer.exe - Application Error (PSE 10) Any suggestions?

Font Capture: PhotoshopServer.exe - Application Error (PSE 10) Any suggestions?

First, go to Windows Update and select the Custom option so that you can install ALL of the latest updates -- including the non-critical ones. This will ensure you also have important updated drivers and software updates.
Then, for good measure, I recommend running Advanced System Care Free on your system to give it a good tune-up. An XP computer is between 5 and 12 years old, and that's a lot of time to gather up a lot of junk and temp files.
    http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
And of course ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.com, per the program's requirements. And then go to the Help menu of any Adobe product and Check for Updates.
    Then reboot.
If that doesn't fix it, it sounds like you may have a corrupted font. But that may take some troubleshooting to determine.

I would like to know on what following error is about, and how to solve it.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions :>
DDE Server Window: AcroRd32.exe - App Error
"0x8d18bad5" Reference to "0x8d18bad5" Memory, which memory cannot be written.

I do not know the answer to this, but if you are willing to to do some troubleshooting:
Which version of windows are you using?
XP vista or 7, 64 bit or 32 bit.
Do you have Quicktime? If so does Quicktime launch?
Did you change anything on your computer just before this problem started?
Please look in the Event viewer for a helpful error message.
    To open the event viewer:
    Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>Event Viewer
Or type Event Viewer into the search box.
    Then select Windows Logs>>Application
Open the Event viewer immediately after iTunes crashes.
The error message should be at or near the top.
Double click on it to open more information and press copy.
Paste the result into your post.
You are looking for a message starting something like this:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

  • I have re-installed Adobe Reader on to my Windows 7 PC. When I open a PDF I was getting an error message containing  . . . .Acrord32.exe application error . . . . I now cannot open any PDF's. Adobe seems to be unresponsive.

I have re-installed Adobe Reader on to my Windows 7 PC. When I open a PDF I was getting an error message containing  . . . .Acrord32.exe
I now cannot open any PDF's and Adobe seems unresponsive. I have tried to follow a step by step guide on how to fix this but Adobe won't stay open long enough for me to complete the steps. When I open Adobe it stays open for a matter of seconds then minimises to the task bar and when I click on it again I can't do anything with it and have to close it via task manager
    Please help!?

Disabling Protected Mode should fix the problem.  But since you cannot even open Adobe Reader by itself, you need to do it via the Windows registry.  If you tell me your installed Reader version, I can give you a registry script to do that.

  • Adobe reader cannot extract embedded font after pdf sent via outlook

We have some pdf files that open fine in Adobe Reader 9.1.3.  Once we send them via e-mail (we use Outlook 2003), they will not open properly with the error message: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'TWDWSP+TradeGothic-Light.  Some characters may not display or print correctly."  When we click OK, another error message appears: "An error exists on this page.  Acrobat may not display the page correctly.  Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem."  If the files are sent in a ZIP archive, they open correctly, but not if sent individually as PDFs.  Can someone help?

It's one of the reasons that it's not recommended to send a PDF via email without Zipping it first. Either the senders or receivers email client may use encoding to make the ransfer faster which can wreck PDF's.
Best bet is to Zip (as you've seen) the file first or post it to a web space and email the link.
