Adobe Reader 11.0.03; Docs open and then close after 2 seconds

I'm running Win 8, 64 Bit. When I try to open pdf doc in Adobe Reader XI 11.0.03, IE10, it closes after 2 seconds. I have uninstalled several times and reinstalled but no fix. Any solutions?

Hi, same problem here and every commented solution didnt help me.
8.1 64bit , AR 10.0 or AR 11.x
- I used AR cleaner, didnt help
- I used CCleaner, didnt help
- I tried set bprotectingmode dword 0 in registry, didnt help
1. Does this happen only in IE or also with other browser (FF, Chrome)?
This help with no browser, just empty adobe reader start.
2. Does this happen on stand alone Reader (instead of in the browser)?

4. If this happens also in the stand alone Reader, does launching Reader without opening a PDF file have same problem?
yes, still problem.
The only one possible solution seems to be install another pdf viewer :-(

Spry Accordion - Tabs open and then close after page loads

I am using a Spry Accordion menu driven from a database.
The menu opens up during the page load and then closes.
I'm using SpryAccordion.js 1.6.1
And to open a preset tab, I'm using:

But, all of the tabs open and then close on page load.

Well to both thanks. Actually I wasn't disappointed as I had a two part question...
I tested the 1.6 JS and remembered that I had to modify the 1.4 so that tabs actually would link. So I reverted back to 1.4.
So, going to 1.6 fixed the open panel on load but "unfixed" the panel tab from linking.....
So changing this in the 1.6 js fixed the link issue as well:

Adobe XI opens and then closes after several seconds...

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat XI a few weeks ago and all was going fine (previously was using Adobe 7 Professional). Suddenly yesterday, whenever I open a PDF, it opens for several seconds. I can edit, move around, etc, but then the program suddenly closes on me!!
I've tried all the "fixes" that you can search for on here.
I tried to uninstall it and go back to Adobe 7, but I now get this message whenever I exit: The application is being terminated because of memory corruption.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Acrobat will not work, opens and then closes

I can not get Acrobat to stay open, I purchased the download it seemed to download fine but opens and then closes.

Did you install with anti-virus deactivated? Have you activated Acrobat? You may have to uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove the Acrobat folder, reboot, and reinstall.
Another possibility is to go to the control panel>Programs & Features and do a repair.

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.

The downloaded apps, not the apps that came with the phone, close immediately after i open them. i have reseted it multiple times and it doesnt work. HELP!!

I too have just experienced this, I suspect because I hooked my iphone up to a friends laptop when visiting on holiday (in Canada) and thought that rather than opening a new topic, I'd add on the end of this one...
I have tried all suggestions found on Google (a restore, de-authorising my laptop and re-authorising with the itunes store, not syncing apps, downloading a new app (on the iphone and on my laptop) and then re-syncing and none of this has worked.
Interestingly, if I download a brand new app via my laptop and sync it to my iphone, it works but all of my old apps restored from the backup open and then close within 2 seconds.
Can anyone help?

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

I am having to run v3.5.10 because even now with latest 3.6 that version - every 30 seconds or so I hear a process open and then close. Can't track it down even in task manager - too brief but it's insistent! So stuck having to use 3.5

I have to use V3.5.10 despite wanting to run 3.6 (just updated to 3.6.6 too). However when I run 3.6 I hear thru my sounds set up a process open briefly and then close every 30 seconds or so - it's very regular and insistent and I'd like to know what it is and why. It's too brief to spot in Task manager processes listing. This did happen once under 3.5 I seem to recall but was cured when it upgraded.

My Win sounds give me a sound each time an app or process opens and another when it closes - thus I know from that any time something happens.
I have 3.6.6 on as well as 3.5.10 - so can run either. But running .3.6.6 despite being update still has this odd process open and close every half minute.
