Adobe Reader 11.0.07 - mouse cursor full screen mode

Hello,
After the security update to Adobe Reader 11.0.07 I noticed a bug in full screen mode - the mouse cursor is not hidden after delay even if this option is chosen in Preferences. How can be resolved this problem?

Hi ivanml,
We were able to replicate this issue for 11.0.06 and 11.0.07 on Win XP sp3. Reported a bug for the same.
Thanks for reporting  this issue.

  • Adobe Reader slow when mouse wheel scrolling in Full Screen mode.

    When I scroll a pdf in normal mode, its fine, but when I try to view in Full Screen mode, the scrolling is much more slower and it takes more rolls of the mouse wheel to get to the next page. Does anyone know how to improve the scrolling function of the Adobe Reader when viewing a document in full screen mode?

    Good that you solved your problem. There will probably be other users that need to solve the same problem and your solution might help many others. The support here comes from users helping other users.

  • "Full Screen Mode" in Adobe Reader XI for Windows 8 loads way too slow!

    I recently got a new laptop with Windows 8, after having used Windows Vista for years.  I installed Adobe Reader XI for my new computer.  Before, I used Adobe Reader X on Vista.  I used Adobe Reader "Full Screen Mode" to read the nice-looking Bible chapters I created with internet audio from Biblegateway.com.  In Vista, the "Full Screen Mode" appeared quickly, before the audio fully started, so I could see the text in time for the reading.
    However, with Windows 8, "Full Screen Mode" takes around 5-10 seconds to appear at all, and a black screen is present throughout the wait.  It does the same thing when I hit "escape" to exit "Full Screen Mode" as well.  I even uninstalled Adobe Reader XI from my new laptop, and tried using Adobe Reader X, even though it is not recommened by Adobe to do that on Windows 8, in order to test the speed of "Full Screen Mode" there.  Adobe Reader X had the same problem!  I do not know if this can be fixed, but I am pretty unhappy about it!  I enjoyed the "Full Screen Mode" with my PDF chapters and the online bible audio!  Finding that function for the first time with Adobe Reader X was a delight for me!  It gave the reading a theater feel!
    Has anyone else here had a similiar problem with "Full Screen Mode" loading way too slow on Windows 8?  I am very disappointed!  If this cannot be fixed by a user, is there a place to complain to Adobe and make a recommendation for software improvement?  Thank you!

  • How do I get to full-screen mode in Adobe Reader 10.4.4 for ipad mini? It's vanished.

    I updated Adobe Reader and now double tapping activates zoom. There does not seem to be any way to go to full-screen mode, and reading with the header (time and battery life icons) is unpleasant.

    Thanks for taking the time to post -- especially to a thread that was started almost a year ago.  I'll give your suggestion a try.

  • How do i get firefox to not be in full screen mode without a mouse or keyboard?

    for some reason Firefox switched to full screen mode and i can't get out of it. I'm using Firefox on a tablet PC running windows 8.1 so using F11 or a mouse is not an option. at least i assume it's full screen mode. i can't see my bookmarks bar, my address bar, or even the windows task menu at the bottom of the screen, where my virtual keyboard is located at. i can get to the settings menu (i have Firefox set to start on a new page) but i can't find bookmark bar, address bar, or full screen settings there. I tried using IE11 to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it but it kept the setting. A "turn off full screen mode" button in the settings would be super helpful or a "force show address bar" button.

    By the way, if Firefox is ''stuck'' in full screen mode, I think you could clear that by removing the settings file which stores window dimensions. Here's how:
    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders in Windows Explorer.
    ''If none of those is available: Use the Run command (or maybe the charms bar search box), type or paste the following and tap Run/Search or Enter on the virtual keyboard:''
    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
    ''Then double-tap into your most recently updated semi-randomly-named profile folder.''
    Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
    * (menu bar) File > Exit
    ''If neither of those is available, try using one of the standard Windows ways of exiting a program.''
    Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''xulstore.json''' to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename that one to localstore.old.
    Start Firefox back up again. Do windows display normally again?

  • No cursor in address bar after opening a new tab on full screen mode

    Hello all!
    When opening a new tab in full screen mode, I noticed that the cursor dissappears from the address bar. Since I cannot write the address without clicking the bar, I think this is a very annoying issue...
    Does anyone have the same problem?
    Thank you.

    Try resetting Safari. From the menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.

  • I am unable to zoom in or zoom out unless in full screen mode. I have tried with both my scroll mouse and with CRTL - and +

    I am unable to zoom in or zoom out unless in full screen mode. I have tried using my scroll mouse and also using CTRL - or +. This is only in Firefox. it works in IE.

    Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
    *Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
    *Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
    *Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

  • Adobe Flashplayer is smaller in Full Screen Mode

    I have Flashplayer 10,1,53,64 installed. When I play a clip , say from BBC news, it's OK in normal mode but goes to a mostly black screen with small screen in the centre when I try to view it in Full Screen Mode
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I installed Ver 10

    The fix is to change your screen resolution.
    I had the same problem and changed my screen resolution to:
    1280 - 768
    And fullscreen worked fine.
    a word of warning though using windows 7 64 bit. Don't update the Adobe player, and if you have unistall it and get adobe player 9. (the previous version).

  • Satellite P750 - No cursor available in full screen mode

    I've tried everything, but absolutely cant navigate without a curson in WinMedia Centre.

    Hello
    I agree with Tonny. This option is disabled by default and I always leave it disabled because its irritating. If this option is disabled the mouse is always visible if you use applications in full screen mode.
    If it doesnt help check the advanced mouse settings (advanced tab > Advanced feature setting) and return the settings to default by clicking on default button.

  • Reader XI: how to load multiple files so that I can show them in one instance of full screen mode?

    It is possible to show a pdf file in full screen mode in acrobat reader XI (windows).
    It is indicated that this is also possible with multiple files.
    I do not understand how to accomplish this; How can I load more than one file to show in the full screen mode?
    can anyone explain this to me?
    Thanks in advance!

    Where do you see that?

  • In full screen mode (with "Hide Toolbars" selected), is there a way to make FF stop bumping the page up and down everytime I move the mouse to the top of the screen to reveal/hide the toolbar?

    In other words, is there a way to make FF behave like IE9 in full screen mode where the toolbar appears "over" the page rather than pushing the page down?

    Hello,
    Could you please elaborate what exactly you are referring to with "I can't get the link to diplay as a different colour"?
    Regarding your second query, I am afraid it is not possible using Adobe Muse. However it can be a very nice feature request.
    I would suggest you to post this as a feature request on our "Ideas for features in Adobe Muse" section of the forums : http://forums.adobe.com/community/muse/ideas

  • Adobe reader 10.1.11 opens in correct screen only if previous pdf document is closed first. Also setting "open in tallest" monitor won't save.

    Hi all
    If I open a pdf file it opens correctly in pivot monitor. If I leave it open and try to open another pdf it opens up in wrong monitor. I tried to get around this with setting "open in tallest monitor" but it's always over ran the next time I open a document (setting reverts back to "this monitor").

    Hello,
    Could you please install Reader 11.0.09 and check the same behavior.
    The setting "open in tallest monitor" is only applicable when you the run the Full Screen Mode (Crtl + L) in Reader.

  • Cursor Disappears After I Return From VIewing Web Video In Full Screen Mode

    After I view a video from a web site in full screen mode using Safari v6.0.1 or Firefox v15.0.1, I escape to normal screen mode. When I then try to move the cursor using the built-in trackpad, I am unable to see the cursor anywhere on the screen. I do, however, see some artifacts of the cursor's movement in the text contained in the window and in the text of the menu bar as the cursor passes them.
    What can I do to eliminate this "inconvenience"?

    Fixed

  • Some of the options not enabled when cursor is placed on it.Eg:Ask a question in this screen Only in full screen mode it is enabled

    On a normal screen some of the functions are not enabled when cursor is placed on it.For example,in rediffmail the folders,settings, sign out, functions are not enabled in normal screen when cursor is placed on it.On full screen mode these are enabled.

    Have you got anything like addblockers or script blockers installed which may cause this problem ?
    Ensure you have javascript enabled
    * when you post in this forum do you see the formatting icons above where you type your message: ['''B'''] & [''i''] (The icons will not be seen with javascript disabled, or totally blocked)
    * use '''Firefox Button -> Options -> | Content | -> [] Enable javascript ''' (check / tick the box)
    * You appear to be '''using XP''' and menus may differ, by default it will start '''Tools -> Options''' instead of Firefox button
