Adobe Reader 11.0.37 - very slow printing

Hello, i installed version 11.0.37 on windows server 2003 ( SP2 ) and my print performance is very slow ( only pdf files ) - previous a had Adobe Reader 9 and everything works fine. I use Citrix. Users are connected directly to the xenapp servers , and print performance is very slow ( takes 2 or more minuts until printing starts )

Since installilng Adobe Reader 9 Firefox is very slow & "not responding" How can this be fixed?

Yesterday I installed Adobe Reader 9. Also Firefox became incredibly slow and I keep seeing strange site names in the lower left of the screen. I keep getting "not responding messages", and in 1-2 minutes the screen I wanted comes up. I don't know if they are related. Norton keeps finding lots of "cookies" to remove as well. But that happened prior to this issue.

Try updating Java via Windows Control Panel. The current version is 1.6.0_24. The version you appear to be running is 1.6.0_20

Adobe Reader 8 open pdf very slow and used lots of memory

I use the Adobe Reader 8 to open a pdf(the pdf size not bigger than 100k)
but when i open it, it take long time to load it and use so many memory,
also, i do not have this problem on using adobe reader 7, would any one know the reason?

It's a bit old though.
Also, do you have the stupid adobe startup program for reader running? This speeds up the loading of adobe reader while simultaneously slowing down your whole system. Great tradeoff.

Adobe Reader 11.0.10, will not print. Mssg "There were no pages selected", even with pages selected. Tried "Image", same mssg err.; Printer has latest drivers. Printer prints everything else (browsers, docs, .xls), but not Adobe. Used cleaner to unistall, received Error: 5 on GetNamedSecurityInfo, and Could Not Set Owner. Why does Adobe reader tell me to install a printer when I try to print?

I have just reinstalled Windows Vista after a viral attack and now have reinstalled all my programs including Adobe Reader. I now can't print a pdf document. the error message tells me to install a printer, but my HP photosmart printer works fine with other programs, and used to print from earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat. Having read what other people have said I uninstalled Adobe 9 and installed Adobe 8. Still can't print. Can anyone help on this one?

soltion is very simple .close itunes and all programes that r open than .go to run and type C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes . . no delete sc infoand than . diisconnect ur iphone from itunes and re connect, when itunes will synchronize it will give the same messagee again , that u r not auithorized, read the whole message, there will be written that if u dont authorize some of ur apps will be deleted or removed, u have to click donot authorize and than the apps or songs causing problem will be remeved and ur fone wil now be synchronized .. . than u can download those apps or songs after authorization . ... .

Reading pdf files is very slow on my nokia 5800 mobile phone. I have Adobe Reader LE 2.5 and when i open any pdf file, it runs very slow and the scrolling is very slow in spite of opening pdf files which contain text only and in black color. I have tried also wrap text option and the problem persists. Is there anyway to reduce the quality of the pdf displayed on my mobile?? and What i have to do to make it run smooth and fast to make reading on my mobile possible???

Adobe Reader v 11.0.10 cannot print PDF files

My Adobe Reader v11.0.10 running on Windows 8 Pro with Media Center cannot print anymore.
I used to be able to print from Adobe Reader before.
I still can print to all printers using other applications – Word, Excel, Notepad.
I can print a test page on any of my printers without any problems.
I can print PDF files using other PDF viewers (like Foxit reader), but I can’t print from Adobe Reader.
There is no error message on the screen and there is no any error message in the log files.
If I uninstall Adobe Reader and re-install it, then the first time I log on I’ll be able to print once.
But any consecutive attempt to print will fail!
Any ideas what could be the problem?

I go to File --> Print menu.
As I always do.
It used to work before.
I haven't tried "Print as image" option, but I'll try it and post the result!
I will try also unchecking 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup' option under Edit> Preferences> Security (Enhanced)
As I mentioned in my previous post I tried re-installing Adobe Reader - but no luck :
"If I uninstall Adobe Reader and re-install it, then the first time I log on I’ll be able to print once."
I think that the issue is not the particular file - it has something to do with Adobe Reader itself. Maybe it is corrupted????

When Mozilla Firefox last automatically updated, it suggested that Adobe Reader needed updating. After updating to Adobe Reader 8, I can no longer print from the internet, only to a file. I know the printer and its interface must be OK because Word prints normally.

Problem solved, it was my oversight, I had not removed the check from the Print to File box in the print set up.

Adobe Reader no longer Auto-Closes after printing

My company uses software that allows for users to reprint invoices they have previously made. The way the procedure is supposed to work is: the driver clicks a re-print button, Adobe Reader opens up with the document, prints it, then closes. Within the past couple of weeks however, everything is fine however Adobe Reader will not close out. The PDF document itself closes, but the user is then brought to the main menu where they can open up another PDF. The problem this is causing is that they cannot reprint other invoices until manually closing out of Adobe reader every time. There have not been any updates made to the software they are using, or to Adobe Reader. We have users on both Windows XP and 7, and have the issue with both Reader v10 and 11.
Any suggestions on how I might be able to get Adobe Reader to auto-close again? I am also checking with the software vendor for their insight.

You don't know what changes to your system/registry have been made by the virus infection you told of.

Adobe Reader 11.0.09 on MAC prints PDFs 1/6 of page 6 times on page, instead of the whole page. Help please!!

I am using Mac OS X 10.9.5 and Adobe Reader 11.0.09 and it prints PDFs 1/6 of page 6 times on page, instead of the whole page. I have tried Print as Image, no joy. Multiple pages is NOT selected. If you try to print any other document from any other application. Did you check, are you facing the same issue or not?
Have you tried to install latest drivers of the printer.

Google Calendar will not print in Firefox 19.0 and adobe reader x when one presses the print button in the popup window.

I have the monthly calendar on screen, click the more button, click print. Another window pops up and when I click the print button nothing happens. I am using Firefox 19.0 and Adobe Reader 10.1.6. The print function works in IE and Chrome.

Nexus 7 / reader 1.1.3 VERY slow

2013 version Nexus.
Reader takes >= 10secs to render 1st page on any pdf, even single page text only. Anyone else seeing this abysmal performance? Also, any recommended alternative app?

On my Nexus 7 running KitKat 4.4.2, I tried to open PDF files from File Manager or from Chrome.
Opening PDFs from File Manager was pretty fast for me. Opening PDFs from Chrome took a little bit longer.
But I suppose that it depends on file size and PDF content.
Do you have the performance issue with all of the files you tried? If you have a sample PDF file or the URL to a PDF file that takes a long time to render, would you share it with us at [email protected]?
