Adobe Reader 8.2 - .exe-installer

Hello!
Is there also an .exe-installer of the Adobe Reader 8.2 or is there only an .msi-Version?
Greetings,
Leon-123

Ok.
So I have to take the previous version (8.1.) which is available in exe and msi.
Greetings,
Leon-123
P.S.:
Funny. If you search "adobe reader 8.2 exe" with Google, this post is the second search result at the moment!

  • Everytime Adobe Reader 9 is extracting installation files, about half way, Windows XP SP3 reboots

Everytime Adobe Reader 9 is extracting installation files, about half way, Windows XP SP3 reboots. Therefore, I am unable to install the Adobe Reader on my computer. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks for the replies. I have followed most of the suggestions given in "Test Screen Name" response. Unfortunately, I have not been able to correctly identify and eliminate rootkit infections (viruses), if any. Furthermore, even when I try to install Adobe Reader X, the system freezes when about 53% of the installation is complete. I am still trying to figure this problem out.
    Good news!
I just installed Adobe Reader 11 and it worked beautifully!
    Thanks again for your suggestions.

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.2 Installation freezes at package scripts

I have been having issues updating my adobe reader from 10.1.4 to 11.0.2
Each time automatic update tried to dowload it an error would say
the "app has been altered from the original installation", or something of that sort.
so I deleted Adobe Reader 10.1.4 hoping it would enable me to download and install
    a fresh copy of 11.0.2
I have 2 users on my MacBook Pro using Lion 10.7.5
and have tried installing with both users logged in, one user logged in, then with only
the other user logged in. I have tried deleting the dmg file and redownloading using
a different browser (Firefox and Safari were the two used)
I deleted the dmg file from one user and tried installing it with the other, all with the
    same end result:
Installation gets to a "less than a minute remaining" at the
installation of package scripts, and it locks up.  The computer fan kicks into high gear
and the "minute remaining" starts to climb.  I let it get to 1 hour and 25 minutes remaining
on one attempt, and force quit.  I have had to force quit every time I attempt to install.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chad

I have since downloaded 10.1.4 again, it works, but I still gett an issue with updating as I did before.
Another thing I thought strange was that it was updating to 10.1.6
    How do I fix this?

  • Adobe reader opening all Exe Files.

I believe I accidently set preferences so that all exe files are opened by adobe reader. Once I uninstalled Adobe reader all .exe files went back to normal. However on re installing Adobe reader all exe files have gone back to opening using adobe reader. When Reader was uninstalled I checked the registry for exe files and was told HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe
should have a default value of exefile, which it does and then checked HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command which must have a default value of "%1" %* which it does. I can not change the registry while adobe reader is installed as the program regedit is an exe. Is there an Adobe register which I must change or another method I can use?
    Thanks if you understood that.

  • Adobe Reader 9.3 "The installation has encountered a problem"

Adobe Reader says an upgrade to 9.3.1 is available.  The installation fails every time with the message "The installation has encountered a problem"  I'm running this on Windows 7, and my account has Admin privileges.  I don't see any info about this error online.  Any suggestions?

Try downloading the update from this link
http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.1/misc/AdbeRdrUpd931_all_incr.msp; save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

Yesterday I discovered weird bug in installation of Adobe Reader for Pocket PC 2.0. Installation failed with message "installation was unsuccessful". After long investigation I found, that file "Adobe Reader User Guide.pdf" exists in "My Documents" folder (it was copied by ActiveSync synchronization). When I removed it, installation was successful. I hope it will help somebody.

  • Adobe Reader corrupted my .exe files

I downloaded Adobe Reader and it changed all my program icons to Adobe icons and programs won't open.  Programs try to open in Adobe Reader as .pdf files.  Error messages says it is not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.
My computer is less than 2 weeks old and I can't access my programs.

I've got this problem. It would'nt allow me to system restore so I've had to uneinstall it. I'v tried to re-install it twice and each time it takes over all my icons and wont allow any of my programmes to open. This means I can't print off concert tickets or anything. Did you eventualy solve the problem?

  • Cannot Delete Adobe Reader 9 Installer after failed download

I tried to download Adobe Reader 9 and the installation froze around 83%.  After multiple attempts I tried downloading an older version (Adobe 8) and it worked but the installation folder for Adobe 9 is still on my desktop and it will not let me delete it. I have already tried using the Windows Install cleanup tool but it did not work. Any other ideas on how I can get rid of this installation program?

Thanks.. I managed to find a way to make it work.. I had no Adobe Reader in my list of programs when I went to Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove..  I took a  chance and deleted Acrobat.com.. that allowed me to reload the latest v of Reader.  I hope it didn't mess anything else up.

Subject: Cannot Delete Adobe Reader 9 Installer after failed download
I had same situation. Was able to delete by the following: (don't know why)
In Windows Explorer dragged the Adobe AIR folder from Desktop to another folder (which
removed it from the desk top display). Then just deleted it from the other folder.
    Hope it works for you.
