Adobe Reader 9.2 Installer error on Windows 7
Recently I upgraded to Windows 7 and trying to download Adobe Reader 9.2... it all goes fine until the very last step. The error message said that the installer do not have the right to complete the installation. And ask me to log-on as a adminstrator to finish the download.... but I'm the only user on the computer!!!! Help!!!
I don't need administrative accounts to install other software. And I DO NOT give
Acrobat any administrative rights on my computer.
Learn to write software. I swich to another reader.

Adobe reader + other applications installation error
Hi guys, I think this is my second post on this forum. okay, many applications including adobe reader won't install on my mac (os x10.6.4) "warning: the following disk images couldn't be opened. Reason: not recognized." The adobe reader I was installing supports osx 10.6.3, but mine is as mentioned above...is that the reason? If so, where can i find the adobe reader for my system?

I've tried your suggestion of re downloading it, it the process of installing, it said installation complete while the bar that shows the installation process isn't full and the process is obviously still continuing: you can see bar moving forwards and stuff. I clicked ok and ignore the continuing process...restart computer anyway and try to open my pdf files: no luck. I delete the application, download it again. try to install it again,: "installation is completed and the installation process is still going on despite the window that pop up telling the installation was complete. I ignore the "installation is completed" message this time. The bar moved until it was about 97%, then stopped....waited and waited but nothing seemed to be changing. So i click ok on the "installation is completed" window, restarted the computer, opened pdf files but no luck again.
I'll keep trying -
Adobe Reader 9.3 Installer - Error 1606
When trying to update Adobe Reader it stops and gives me an Error message of : ERROR 1606. Could not access network location %APPDATA%\.
Please let me know what I need to do. ThanksAsk in the Reader forum for a better likelihood to get an answer. This is not the Reader forum, though some may have an answer.

Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\Program Files\\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0|AdobeARM.exe'. Make sure you types the name correctly, and then try again.
_ I've try to re-install Adobe Reader => same issue
_ I've deleted the AdobeARM.exe and did a repair => same issue.

No, I can't open the Reader at all. The error message box popped up immediately when I run the Reader -
Installation adobe reader XI 11.0.07 in windows 8 is not installed me, gives me a message that says "windows search cannot stop" for several times. What can i do?
I have no idea what this means; maybe you need to stop indexing? Also try the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

I have a new hp tower running windows 8.1 and have been trying to install the adobe reader. The installer downloads (1meg) and I choose to run it but it just sits with an empty screen. I've checked task manager and it takes up memory but does nothing. After letting it run for 3-4 minutes I kill the task. What can I do to get the reader installed on this machine? I've tried using chrome, firefox and explorer and get the same results with each.

Im using the "AdbeRdr11010_de_DE.exe" from ftp server to deploy.
I want to update from 11.0.08 to 11.0.10.

That looks like a perfectly good PDF, but since it's trying to open in Microsoft Word, that means your file association for .pdf files is incorrect. You should change it to point to Adobe Reader instead of Word.

Adobe Reader 9.2 installations

I had a question about the installation for Adobe Reader 9.2. We have downloaded the NOSSO .exe files from the distribution download site. We downloaded separate files for different Operating Systems. These OS's are:
Windows XP SP2
Windows XP SP3
Windows Vista
All files we downloaed have the same name, so we added the OS name to the filename when we downloade the files.
These files are the same size and, when extracted, have the same files with the same size & modification date & time.
I believe that we have downloaded the same file for each OS that we have chosen, but I wanted to confirm this.
Also, I want to know if the installation for Adobe Reader 9.2 is supported on Windows XP x64.

That is correct. There doesn't exists different Adobe Reader 9.2 versions for Windows. -
Paid Adobe Reader XI ExportPDF Subscription - "Error Occurred While Signing In"
Like others in this forum, I have a paid subscription to Adobe Reader XI, and when I try to convert a .pdf to Word or any applicaiton, I receive the message "an error occurred while signin in".
This facility previously worked with no issues. It is unacceptable that Adobe offers no help for these issues, and paid customers are locked out of processes which are at times critical to their business.

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble. Could you try opening Adobe Reader XI and choosing Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Reader > Preferences (Mac), then select 'Adobe Online Services' from the left-hand side. Click 'Sign Out...', then sign back in with your Adobe ID and password.
Once this is complete, try accessing ExportPDF from the Tools pane again.

download the cleaner tool from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and save it to disk (e.g. your Download folder)
unzip the file
download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and save it to disk
right-click on the extracted cleaner tool AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe and select Run as Administrator
right-click on the downloaded installer and select Run as Administrator
Don't hesitate to ask if there are still things unclear. -
Adobe reader met with unexpected error

I've been bombed with this problem for so long, I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone can give any suggestion. The problem is: My adobe reader 7.0.8 or 8.0 are constantly met with unexpected errors. It just doesn't work, I can't open any files with it. Did anyone have similar problems before? Is there any hidden files I have to delete before installing a newer version or something else?

I had adobe reader 6.0, the only version that was working on my mac, in my application library. I tried to upgrade it to version 8.0. I downloaded and installed adobe reader 8.0 alright, no problems there. But after installation was complete, the Reader restarted itself and crashed, showing me the message "The adobe reader met with unexpected error." and could not even function, not to mention opening any files. It happened with 7.0.8 before as well. I had no other way but to change it back to 6.0. But it's really bugging me because compared to the latest versions, 6.0 isn't really that good. So please help! thanks
