Adobe reader 9.3.1 and HP all in one 6310xi printing problem

Since I upgraded from adobe reader v8 to 9.3 I cannot print color or b/w documents on my hp all in one printer. I contacted HP support and they recommended that I install printer driver for a 990 printer and that my problem will be solved.
well I cannot print any adobe documents at all in either mode. I can print office documents fine.
do I need to download another adobe driver or add on ?
please help..

Could you please elaborate more on your problem? What error message do you get when you try to print from Adobe Reader?
Is this problem specific to a printer or is it that you are not able to print on any printer using Reader?
Is it document specific?

I am told by my bank's customer service rep, who believes that "print to PDF" is available in Windows 7, there should be a way to import a form or document to Adobe Reader XI, sign it and save the result in order to email as attachment. I am trying to avoid using a fax machine or a scanner, not yet set up. In addition, Windows 7 is in process of being loaded on another laptop, but not yet complete.

"print to PDF" from what? If the form is already a fillable PDF, then just fill it, save it, and send it via email (or share via Files at https://cloud.acrobat.com/).

HP C7280 all-in-one duplex printing problem - Long and short sided binding!

I use a HP 7280 all-in-one printer and have the duplexer attached. Up to installing snow leopard I have been able to print two sided documents from ipages no problems. But now every time I try to print a two sided document in flips the second side vertically (basically meaning it is binding is always long edge). When I change the setting from long edge binding to short side it makes no difference at all!!! I know this used to work, but it appears snow leopard changed that!! Any suggestion to fix the problem, thanks

It is not a defect, it is simply the way that the process needs to ensure print quality when auto duplexing. In contrast, manual duplexing does not have the same needs, as it draws directly from the tray. From testing of other brands, I can say that I have seen the margin issue occur with other manufacturers as well. Seems to be a necessary evil when auto duplexing.

Photosmart all i one 7520 Printing problems the wrong scale the printout

I will print covers for DVD cases. Have done it before from two different programs to my previous photosmart printer without problems. Now since I change the Photosmart All in One 7520 will be reduced format in both height and width. A degradation of the picture takes place.

I understand you are facing some issues when printing DVD cases from your Photosmart 7520.
I would recommend checking the printers specifications, as this unit may support different sizes, paper types, etc than the previous printer did.

HP Photosmart C410a All-in-One: Duplex Printing Problem

I just purchased an HP Photosmart Premium Fax C410a ePrinter. My operating system is Windows 7.
All went well until I tried duplex printing of a document. It printed alright, but extra margin space (a good 1/2 inch) was inserted like a border at the top and bottom (but not the sides) of both front and back of each page. This squeezing of the text causes the font size to be reduced and leaves undesirable white space. This happens with both manual and automatic duplex printing.
I spent hours chatting and talking with HP support technicians while they tried many things to solve the problem, all to no avail. They suggested I return the printer and get another one, which I did, but the second one has the same problem.
Has anybody out there run into this problem with the C410? I would appreciate any help I could get, including from someone at HP. I strongly suspect this is a defect in the software.

Perhaps the PDF files are corrupted.
Hit the command key and spacebar, a blue Spotlight in the upper right hand corner appears, now type Preview and press return on the Preview program.
Now you can try opening the PDF's from the file menu and see what's going on.
If they are corrupted, perhaps they are trojans from your Windows PC or gotten from a bad location online.
Download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the possibly infected folder.

If by that you mean Preview is still opening the files Control Click and HOLD on a .pdf file you'll see Open With (at the bottom) Other Dialogue box. - mouse over to it and before you choose Acrobat click Always Open With in the checkbox.

Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and MAC OS X 10.4.11

Just installed Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and when I try to open a .pdf, the file opens for around 5seconds and then disappears and Reader closes without any apparent error message.
In all my years of using free Acrobat (now reader? - why the change in name?) I've never had an issue as just a "dumb" user... I'd sure like to get back to that situation ;-)

The name was Adobe Acrobat Reader until version 5.0. As of 6.0 (2003)
they changed it to Adobe Reader.

Adobe Reader 11.0.03 and Windows 8

Hello,
I am getting the error "cannot find or create the font 'Arial'. Some Characters may not display or print correctly" in Adobe Reader 11.0.03. If I click thru the error, the pdf is fine and perfectly readable and doesn't appear again. Also, my co-workers can download/open the same pdf's from the same source and get no errors at all. If I forward the pdf that I received the error with, the person who received the pdf in question doesn't get the error. It is random, it doesn't happen with all pdf's, but enough to cause concern. I have uninstalled/re-installed Adobe Reader 11.0.03, and done a repair. The font in question is installed. I even downloaded/installed the Arial font from an installation CD of Windows 8 in case mine were corrupted somehow. Some backround information:
Windows 8 on a tablet PC running a Corporate image
Adobe Reader 11.0.03
This image is the standard for my company and is the exact same on every tablet that is deployed within the company. Yet, to my knowledge, I am the only one receiving this error. I do not want to have this tablet re-imaged and don't believe it should be necessary.
Any and all help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
If I have forgotten to include any needed information to help your diagnosis/resolution, please let me know and I will post it as soon as I can.

Adobe Reader 11.0.03 and Flash Player 11.8.800.94 Not Working on Windows 8

On a computer running Windows 8 Enterprise, Adobe Reader 11.0.03, and Flash Player 11.8.800.94, I am unable to open a flash-enabled PDF. Reader gives me the error "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat." Adobe's Flash verification page shows me that Flash Player is working, and I can open other basic PDFs in Reader. I have another machine with an identical setup, except that it has Acrobat 11.0.03 instead of Reader, and the PDF opens just fine on that machine. Why won't Reader open the Flash-enabled PDF?

Adobe Reader 9.3.4 and Pro Extended

I tried to upgrade to the 9.3.4 version of reader and it wouldn't let me for some reason. Something about a missing .msi file in one of the directories. So I used revo uninstaller to remove it and try to reinstall it. I redownloaded the program and the ran the Adobe Reader 9.3.4 Update - setup. It processes to 100 % and then closes. And nothing. so I don't know whats going on. I also downloaded the trial of Adobe Pro Extended and everything went fine up to the install screen. I click the install button and nothing happens, so no clue whats going on with that either. Any ideas?

I tried the first link to install reader and it simply runs to 100% and then closes.

P.S. The error message that you received while updating Adobe Reader was probably due to the fact that you may have deleted the cached setup files on your system. Hence, it was prompting you to provide the required installer file (.MSI file)

Printing problem Adobe Reader 9.3.0 and Windows 7 64bit

Good morning:
I cannot print a PDF to my Toshiba E-Studio165 copier (print through router). The data is sent to my E-Studio and the data light blinks and the copier starts but nothing prints.
I can print the same PDF to an old Brother HL-5140 that is connected via USB.
At first I thought there might be a document converter problem but as I can print to 1 printer but not the other that might not be the situation.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Now I know, that after 9.3.0 first must be installed 9.3.1 and second 9.3.2. I see, this was the error and not the en_US/german problem.
I have prepared 3 screenshots of my Windows 7, to show you, that I have 3 Adobe Readers in my Adobe folder under C:\Program Files (x86).
Please see snap0003.jpg with the three Adobe Readers. In snap0004.jpg can you see my Add or Remove Programs: Adobe Reader is not existing.
In snap0005.jpg is a screenshot from Secunia PSI. I had the Adobe Reader 9.3.0 and they offer me the update to 9.3.2! That brings me an update error.
But my problem is, how can I uninstall 2 of 3 Adobe Readers. What can you say me to this problem?
